Glass Rose

Just bought this and am so very pleasantly surprised. Have been looking for cruelty free /vegan perfumes. I’m over the animal testing y’all. Have been a vegetarian for many years now am vegan by ethical choice. I’m overwhelmed by the cruelty. Enough said. No judging here just my feels and the reason for me saying goodbye to Hermes and others. So I bought this and the new Pear scent - something abkht the pear that is sharp but sweet idk - but they are very sophisticated and uniquely upscale smelling together. MixBars claim to fame is in the mix-ability of their fragrances. Love that they don’t break the bank and that they have body/hair sprays for each scent. Can’t wait to try others. After reading some reviews here and understanding that there actually is no rose in this one I get why I like it - strong rose can push me away from a scent. It’s worth a try!

If you, like me, are intimidated by fragrances containing a rose note, don’t fear this one. It was a blind buy for me and right after I sprayed it on, I was surprised by how much I love it! Another hit from mix:bar, an affordable price, a vegan and cruelty-free option too. This rose is fresh and sparkly but elegant at the same time. You would think that a citrusy, flowery fragrance would be great for Spring but it’s Winter now and I feel this is a cozy scent to use to warm up this cold season. Not sure about the notes listed in here, though I do feel the freesia note. As soon as I tried it on, I got a déjà vu of an Italian perfume from the 80s, it came in a dark blue lean bottle and I thought it was Miu Miu but I couldn’t find a picture of it online or a description, to confirm this.

Mix Bar Glass Rose is a not too sweet lovely light Rose fragrance, I usually do not care for Rose fragrances at all , but this one is different. It is amazing layered with Mix Bar Bourbon Vanilla. Together these are incredible.... what a find! I have 4 backup bottles on Bourbon Vanilla ( afraid Mix Bar might not stay in business). put these on 4 hours ago and still have great sillage. I just purchased the Glass Rose and I liked it alone, it was not a complex fragrance, though a very nice not too sweet light Rose floral. However.... when mixed with Vanilla Bourbon.... WOW! I am ordering a second bottle of Glass Rose now. What a find these inexpensive Target Perfumes are... they smell very expensive for 20.00 a bottle of EDT.

So good! This one smells like English garden rose, lemon, & grapefruit. It's ballerina pink- very fresh- and very pretty. Longevity could be better- but I like to mix it with other rose perfumes in my collection to make the rose really pop. Or with Vanille from Solinotes for a very feminine, creamy rose scent. I'm a grapefruit fan- and this one is lovely. It's bubbly, Spring happy in a bottle. Comparison: GAP PINK body spray from the early 2000s. I sprayed the heck out of 3 bottles of that stuff. This has a VERY similar effect- if you added in a strong rose note. The notes in SOPINK body spray were: pink grapefruit, orange, muguet, lily, sweet pea; jasmine and musk.

This was a blind buy at target for me; I was absolutely fascinated by the scent notes on the box. And let me tell you... I LOVEEE the snappy, sour opening to Glass Rose. The fruity, musky notes hit you like a truck; this fragrance reminds me of the sexy lady on a cruise whose had her third or fourth margarita and refuses to leave the dance floor. What a unique, sexy, interesting fragrance! I still haven't quite figured out exactly when or where I'd wear this fragrance, but I simply cant get enough of it. Maybe a night on the beach or at a pool party? Overall a lovely, tropical, flirty, summery scent from mix:bar. I'll absolutely be buying it again.

Let me just say, give this a minute to stop smelling like citrus deet bug spray and then you'll fall in love. I know I did! I sprayed on a light spray in store and didn't like it, but while shopping I was smelling a really good smell and swore it couldn't be what I had just sprayed. BUT IT WAS! Took about 20 minutes but it drys down lovely and skin musk smelling. The rose compliments the musk well, the citrus however is very rude at first! I bought a full bottle and doused myself at the house, same story (the more you spray, the longer you have to wait for it to chill out).

I sampled Terre D'Hermes Parfum recently and the grapefruit/moss/cedar present is really reminding me of TDH. I'm alittle shook that they went for such a sophisticated scent profile at this price point. I had avoided this because of the name...hate rose generally, but this sour opening and overall minerality is quite impressive..and thankfully completely lacking in the typical dusty, antiquated rose.

I am actually shocked at the amount of negative reviews this perfume has received.This scent is so fresh,classy,and crisp.I absolutely adore this scent.This smells beautiful on its own and even more beautiful when layered with other pretty scents.I definitely smell the rose in here.When I first smelled this,I immediately thought of "Chloe" and "Nude Rose" by Philosophy.

This is the rose I have been searching for! I live near Indian markets. I love the rose skin scent that many of the women wear; a rose that sits very close to the skin. This projects a little more than a skin scent but the rose smells clear and clean. Winner!

Found at TJ Max for $9.99. Kept smelling my wrist, smelled so familiar. It reminds me of the discontinued Very Sexy for Her 2. I was so obsessed with that perfume, happy to find an alternative finally.

Glass Rose is a straight up dupe for Chloe L'Eau. Layers very well with Vanilla Bourbon.

Loving this mixed with their vanilla bourbon.

First spritz is a potent sip of sherry. Takes a while to transform (and DOES it transform!) into the pink rose blooms you expected from the start. Very surprised tagetes is not listed in the notes. This is very fresh-cut green stem and bitter herbals. An abstract bouquet in clear, frigid water on a cloudless March day. Like others have said, I get no amber or raspberry (raspberry leaf, maybe). I honestly don't get freesia or oakmoss either. Reminds me a ton of Exclamation Blush and similar late-90s/Y2K bittersweet florals. More artistry than utility. Impressive quality for the price.

Not sure how a rose perfume has no rose listed in the notes but hey, it's lovely (btw, Target's website lists the notes as raspberry, bergamot, rose, peony and amber). I would describe it as a green, not terribly sweet rose fragrance that is light and fresh and inoffensive. It would be great for layering but still super pretty on its own. I should mention when I pulled the cap off this bottle the entire sprayer came off with it, splashing perfume all over me and the floor. This line is so beautiful and affordable but watch out for the cheap sprayers.

This is a light pink soapy rose with a fresh green under layer. Pretty sweet and soft. It’s sharp when first sprayed but the grapefruit really stands out nicely in the beginning. A very clean slightly rosy skin scent. A soprano, for sure; a very bright young pink rose- the kind that have barely opened. Pretty, soapy and bright. I prefer a deeper rose but this is nice. When the moment is done it’s more of a soapy freesia/rose with a hint of citrus, something green and a whisper of wood.

The notes and description are all wrong!!!- it's definitely a FRESH Citrusy Rose fragrance! - from the Target Website "Inspired by the petal pattern of a rose in bloom" the Notes are- Raspberry, Bergamot, Rose, Peony, & Amber which is exactly what my nose detected. It is lovely and bright with surprisingly good longevity @ aprox 3-4 hours. The price is excellent too.

🌸 Straight up dupe for Delina! 🌸 I have both Delina and Glass Rose and have tested them side by side. Not ONE PERSON could tell that they were two different fragrances. At one point, I even forgot which side of my body had which fragrance. If you don't believe me, try it. The only difference is that Delina lasts longer but at $20 I am fine with reapplying Glass Rose!

One word to describe it is “pretty”. It’s such a pretty light fragrance. Reminds me of Roses de Chloe that I used as a teen. I’m glad this perfume pulls more musky on me because I love musks and I love light fresh rose scents so I get the best of both worlds, and the price point is incredible for this!

Initial spray reminds me of the smell of a child's bubble bath or bubbles I'd get as a kid. It dries down nice and soft.

On my skin I get a frosty-cold yet fresh, young rose. Nice to wear on those rather drab, dreary dayz.

Crisp, Citrus, Rosy, Yummy-ness. Don't be fooled by the name. It's not one of those heavy florals.

Really lovely, fresh cut roses smell with the same citrus from Tangerine Squeeze. No matter the price point, rose fragrances often smell synthetic to me, but that’s not a bad thing with this one. It’s got surprising staying power on my skin for a $15 Target buy (25% off fragrances online rn). Especially in the heat, a little goes a long way. It’s likely more appropriate for spring, where Tangerine Squeeze is refreshing in the heat. Mix Bar doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel here, it’s simply a nice and palatable rose that many could wear. In the end this is much more citrus than rose than I'd hoped.

I originally tried this out bc smelling the cap made me think it was a BR450 dupe. It’s definitely not, but I think it’s got a good amount of ambroxan in it and that’s what I was picking up on. Like another reviewer said, for the first hour or so, this has a bitter/sour smell to it. It’s like a sour, rather than fresh and citrusy rose. Once that mellows out, it gets a lot better. You have to give this one time. I probably wouldn’t grab this one personally, but recommend everyone give it a shot at that price point. I’m excited to try the other fragrances in this line.

Sprayed this on me in store thinking I would enjoy it as I loved vanilla bourbon so much and people say this layers well with it- but I wanted to try it on its own initially. Something about this reads very pickle-y to me. I felt like I brought a bouquet of roses into in an In-N-Out burger and the person sitting next to me got extra pickles. I don’t see this being a common occurrence for other people but this was not my favorite. It did have decent lasting power though.

Sampled this at target today and I absolutely do not get any notes from this besides rose, musk, and maybe freesia. I completely miss the woody, earthy, citrus and raspberry. It’s very fresh and floral. Because I only can smell the florals and musk, it reminds me a lot of Montale Roses Musk but... better? Roses Musk has this synthetic thing that kept me from buying after I sampled it, but Glass Rose does not. I’m considering buying this though!

After a few hours, Glass rose mellows out into a nice, high-pitched, direct and fresh rose, but on the way it is at turns shrill and bitter, bile-sour from the grapefruit and raspberry, acidic and pithy. I'm impressed by the complexity, considering the price, but I don't personally like it. If you like a clean and biting rose, this may be for you. Reminds me of a more subdued version of the rose fragrance from boysmells, minus the suede.

I'm pretty into the Mix:Bar perfumes (The price! The quality! The variety!) but this might be my least favorite so far. It's not objectively bad, it's just not to my taste. I prefer a deeper, richer, smokier rose, and this feels like a brighter, fizzier rose to me that's lifted up by citrus and white florals. If that sounds like your thing, give it a sniff! It's just not my thing. It's like the McDonald's Sprite of rose scents.

gummy bears, all I can smell is gummy bears. I let my five year old girl have it for occasional use. This is for the spray not the edp, but I'm not in a rush to sample the edp now. Pacifica's Persian Rose is a pleasant inexpensive one to layer if you want a rose note for blending (and also happens to be available at Target!)

Glass Rose is a pungent, citrus rose that seems very clean and reminds me of linen spray rather than perfume. It doesn't smell bad, but there's something really un-sensual about it -- not that that's a word -- that makes me want to spray it in my linen closet as opposed to wear it. : /

A light refreshing, somewhat classic (but not old) rose with juicy citrus, and subtle depth from the moss. Very pretty. Nothing phenomenal but the price is great so I'm happy with it

The notes for this listed here on Fragrantica do not match what Target lists as the notes. They are completely wrong. BritneyN below me here has listed the correct notes. In fact there is not even rose listed as a note here! The scent is called “Glass Rose”!?! This is alarming as many people use the notes and accord pyramid, along with reviews on Fragrantica to blind buy perfumes. This really is an inexpensive scent and you can readily test it at Target so it’s not so bad, but if the notes are incorrect for more expensive fragrances that are not easily obtainable for testing, that can be disastrous and sort of scares me off of here a little! Back to the actual fragrance.,. I did not test this in Target, but rather blind bought a 5 pack sample set from Mix Bar, and this was part of that set. I wanted to sample on my skin specifically Cloud Musk as I had smelled it sprayed in the air at Target . It was a fantastic sale for the 5 pack so I didn’t mind buying it blindly and giving some others a shot. I didn’t initially read the notes on here or on Target before trying Glass Rose on my skin. I thought the name “Glass Rose” would mean that this was a delicate rose soliflore. It is not. The raspberry is very apparent and strong here, this is not very delicate to my nose, due to the sharp sweet raspberry and amber. I really don’t enjoy it all. Probably won’t wear it alone or much for layering. I was hoping for just rose- and this isn’t it. But it’s not awful. Just not for me.

I was so excited to find this at TjMaxx or Marshall’s for half the cost. I blind bought it and loved the smell from the bottle. When I first sprayed it however, she turned on me. I did not smell like a beautiful rose bouquet or anything close. She turned on me and turned me into a walking pickle jar. It smelled like I took pickle juice in a roller ball and applied it all over, I had to wash it off right away. She now sits on the “take me, I’m yours” shelf in my house that is home to other fragrances that did not jive with me but may jive with another. TLDR if after you spray, you smell like pickles, you’re not crazy. We are part of the unfortunate few.

Out of the sampler of Mix:Bar I got this perfume is a big meh for me. It's not bad, but is it good no. You can definitely smell the Freesia as the main star of the show. Whereas, was the second character of the show was a light water smelling rose. Almost too fresh and dewy in my opinion. This should've been called "Glass freesia" then I would've had more of a realistic interpretation of the perfume.

Well an odd name for a perfume with no rose in the notes. Honestly this is all cedar and sour grapefruit on my skin. The raspberry is completely overshadowed by the cedar. In the Mix:Bar discovery set- this is the only one that I really dislike. Sorry to the perfumer, but why name a fragrance something like glass rose when it's anything but that.

Blind bought this based on the notes and it’s not doing it for me. The Amber and raspberry intrigued me but they’re virtually undetectable. Very rose heavy and not in a good way.

I was surprised that there weren't any rose notes in here. tbh I was disappointed. the cedar is very strong here and I don't like it.

Ugh. I blind bought this at Winners, and I'm disappointed. The notes sounded lovely, but on me, it's terrible. So sad, since it smelled like a fresh rose from the atomizer. As soon as it hit my skin, it turned unpleasantly sour. I don't get pickles, as others have mentioned, but it makes the rose smell musty and I dont get any freesia at all. Just a barely-there, musty rose steeped in old champagne curled up in the corner of a dark bar. I gave it 3-4 good tests to see if it would grow on me, but in the end, it was a scrubber. I'm not understanding other reviews saying this smells of dewy, fresh rose, but it's likely my skin chemistry that doesn't jive. This was in a sealed box so I couldn't try, but if you have access to Target where Mixbar is sold with testers available, definitely try before you buy.

Don’t buy this if you are bothered by musky rose scents. All the notes listed are minimally present. The initial spray is reminiscent of scented cutex polish remover and after that rose and musk. It’s a definite no, for me.

Glass Rose seems harsh and unpleasantly metallic when it goes on--a sharp, alcohol blast--but it softens very quickly and before long is barely detectable, except as a soft white musk skin scent. Rose is not detectable to my nose, despite the name; it smells to me like a greener scent, more like jonquils perhaps. Less than an hour in, I discern a faint woodiness, a little cedar and amber, but not nearly as much as I get from my beloved Sensuous. I haven't tried layering this with other scents, but I might have a trace of Private Collection left over from yesterday--that stuff is persistent, even after you wash with soap! Glass Rose is pretty much the opposite of Private Collection or any other complex French-inspired fragrance. At the risk of sounding unkind, it makes me think of Love's Baby Soft and the fruity miasma of body sprays that you used to smell at Bath and Body Works and other mall shops (or in the locker room of my junior high). But that's really just the first impression; Glass Rose does wear well as a skin scent and is unlikely to bother anyone, even in fairly close quarters. I do really like the powderiness during the drydown. I can't say this could compete with any of my FFF (Fine French Fragrances--EL gets a pass because she was steeped in European ways, being a first-generation American). But it's a damn good buy, and I like it as much as any of the more upscale mall scents (Banana Republic, etc.) You could do worse spending a couple of sawbucks! Update: This seems to change on my skin, and it's weirdly addictive. I sprayed some on some freshly laundered bath towels, and I think this might be the kind of fragrance that is better on fabric than on skin. I'm using some detergent that works well but doesn't have a good fragrance, so I might mist this over my linens sometimes.

Strong, but not offensive. The first 30 minutes are harsh, sour, and straight-up bug-spray. But the drydown is quite pleasant and stayed strong for hours! Freesia and rose in equal measure, with musk. Tart and youthful. There's none of the spice you'll find in other roses at the same price point, like Pacifica's Persian Rose, and there's zero incense, vanilla, or amber. If you're looking for a fruity rose, especially on a budget, this is an option.

I've been searching for a rose fragrance lately and I thought this one might be the one.. unfortunately it wasn't. The opening was beautiful and delicate, but once it settled it changed into something different. What was originally a very fresh and light, almost citrusy rose, became an overbearing scent. It lost its freshness and became slightly annoying. I can't hate on it too much, but it missed the mark for me on the dry down.

Lovely tart fresh rose perfume. It smells like Bath & Body Works ROSE collection of body products. I kind of see the comparison with Banana Republic Rosewood Amor in that this is a sweet and sour perfume, with a note of raspberry and also plenty of musk. But it is more similar to a fruity rose body cream than Rosewood Amor, which smells more like a sophisticated perfume.

she’s cute, she’s soft, she’s floral, she’s musky. an easy, affordable everyday for a femme and/or clean personal aesthetic. it’s not really especially anything, but why would you go to target for that? safe blind buy if you like fresh florals that are slightly sweet. or you just generally like the smell of clean laundry.

Fragrantica has listed the notes WRONG . I think a reviewer below has listed correctly, but it has raspberry and rose added to those listed. It's a fresh, citrusey rose. Look up the notes at target. I think Fragrantica did an article on the release of these, too, lol. Maybe they are listed correctly there.

I am picky about rose. I am learning that I prefer a light, airy, fresh over a deep or gourmand rose. This fits that profile. Light, fresh, pink, sparkly, dewy. I have been layering it with Satin Slippers from BBW lotion and body spray, which also has rose! I love the combo! Sweet and happy!

This isn’t the kind of scent you keep digging your nose into, y’all. This one is for the folks smelling your walk-by air. That being said, it’s elegant and demure on a bargain. It’s a strong like for me.
