Salt Petals

Smells like salty rain and sand, woody but driftwood, aged and deep. Watery but It has a gravelly quality that is different than the sweet perfumes I usually buy. I have an unsophisticated nose but this seems very ‘fancy’ to me. Very unisex, not overbearing powder florals or super crispy green wood to tip it in either direction. It’s got poor longevity, maybe an hour or two on skin and 3 or so on clothes.. No sillage to speak of.

So I'm a transfem looking for my first nice feminine scent, never shopped for a perfume before in my life. I thought this cheap bottle I got at target was a hold over until I found something better, imagined I'd be sick of it in a week, but I have fallen in love with this one! Really does a good job evoking pleasant beach vibes.Take with a grain of salt because I have ZERO knowledge or experience but truly a great value.

I am surprised to like this perfume as much as I do, since salt notes and I don't get along. This opens with a nice and slightly astringent grapefruit smell, which quickly mellows into a watery floral, with a nice warm amber wood base to anchor it (pun intended). This is a good, solid aquatic perfume, and doesn't veer into that seaweed, over briney, dead sea smell that many aquatic perfumes unfortunately fall into.

Some people say it's similar to Cool Water, I say its closer to Tommy Bahama's Very Cool for Women, just not as sweet. This actually works better with my skin chemistry. I found it at Marshall's and took a chance, I'm glad I did! It works well on hot days.

One of the best cheap freshies you can find! The salt aspect is pretty mild. I mostly get the watery florals and the grapefruit with a bit of the amberwood. An easy reach in any season.

i love this so much, it’s light and fresh. my issue is it just doesn’t last. an hour tops. luckily i keep the body mist on hand to refresh every so often.

This is really nice! I went to Target today to get some hygiene products and stumbled upon the mix:bar selection and tried a few. I enjoyed passionfruit nectar & vanilla bourbon, but this one stood out the most to me. This one is extremely wearable, pleasant, and is great value. This smells like a water lotus floating on a bed of saltwater. Ozonic, salty, and lightly floral, super unisex, but the performance isint really there. This layered with the eos Fresh & Cozy lotion was heavenly. Great everything shower perfume

I only have the mist but the scent is very refreshing. The notes are well blended. Like someone mentioned below, the salt note is not intense. I feel like you can experience all the notes together. I also agree with someone below who mentioned that the scent can get a bit like febreeze. I can see that. I have been mostly using the mist to spray my room. I still find it fresh, clean and enjoyable.

To me this smells like freshly hung linen on a beachfront patio. I wore this for a walk at dusk and thought someone was doing laundry and wind wofted it in front of my nose. But it was me lol. I initially just got it for the blue bottle but I ended up liking it a lot. I generally haven't liked any of the other mixbar fragrances but this one I might buy again.

So hear me out, this scent paired with miim miic 163: gelato gourmand! The notes blend beautifully, it adds sweet undertone to the summer vibes of Salt Petals. Highly recommend! This scent alone is great, not my go to, but it’s beautiful for layering especially for summer time.

This is a really pretty, light floral summer fragrance. Great for hot weather because it is light and not cloying. Sadly it doesn’t last but an hour or two on me, so it’s a good things it’s cheap and I can keep reapplying

I sampled this in Target, walked around with it for a while, and thought I liked it enough to buy. My spouse said it gave him guys' Hollister vibes which is actually a very nostalgic compliment in my eyes lol so I went for it and purchased. Wore it for a full day around the house and realized I didn't like it enough to keep it; ended up returning. It's everything you think it is based on the color, name, description, etc. A blue, aquatic freshie. The thing is, something about that salty edge kept niggling me and making me feel a little sick. It smells good, like really good, yet I don't actually want to wear it. I think where I landed on this is I would love it if it were a candle. Def give it a sample if you're in Target, you might like it. As always I adore their packaging. I feel it looks way more high-end than a $20 Target frag would ever be expected to. This one reads true unisex to me.

The amberwood hangs out in the opening, and at first, I did not enjoy this perfume because of that. It smelled forgettable and generic in a sea of aquatic florals (my favorite genre). Two hours in, my opinion of this perfume changed. I think it is a pretty and delicate water lily perfume. There is a little complexity from the salt and wood. It smells like the petals of a water lily. I am surprised by its realism; there is no stylized sweetness added. There is no greenness either. It is just water lily petals and salt water with a bit of twig. This is a calm, meditative scent. It reminds me of a quieter and less floral version of Giorgio Beverly Hills Giorgio Blue.

i love the initial scent: fresh florals and grapefruit carried on a salty sea breeze. so refreshing and light. if there's a similar perfume that actually continues to smell like this, i would adore it. but the first wave of scent is almost immediately replaced by a salty musk with a slightly chemically edge that reminds me a bit of an air freshener edit: as i've used this more, it's gotten way more febreze-y to me, unfortunately. i can't stand that

i was a big fan of this and then i just kinda outgrew it. smells nice though, like a cold crisp honeydew melon with some pool-esque salty chlorine smell. very watery. more unisex for sure. relaxing and cooling for summer. i ended up using it as a room freshener and gave away what was remaining. it was too masculine leaning for me to wear.

after owning the body spray of this for a couple months it kinda started to piss me off. it's a nice smell, but becomes very predictable and boring quickly. it has good layering potential... but if you care about finishing your bottle know that you will likely have to do some layering wizardry.

This is a lovely fresh aquatic slightly floral scent that works perfectly during the daytime in summer! Sadly for me it reminds me of a not so great time in my life so I did give it away, but if it weren't for that I would quite enjoy it :)

I wanted to LOVE this but I just didn’t. I already have a few watery scents and this seems like a childish version of that. Salt forward with a splash of ozoic notes. Maybe a good start for freshies though!

I was hoping for a fresh and slightly beachy floral but pretty much the only thing I can smell in this perfume is calone and some other watery aroma-chemical. Way too much.

I’ve been looking for a dupe for Viktor & Rolf Salty Flower and grabbed this based purely on the name. Unfortunately, this smells like a cheap shampoo but even worse, somehow. Incredibly disappointing.

A blast of sea salt in the beginning then it turns into a bad detergent aquatic scents. Reminds of Gain laundry detergent.

To my nose, this smells like gasoline, I believe it is the salty notes combined with amberwood. There ia freshness to it, but that rubber/gasoline scent is prevalent for me. Not bad, just feels unbalanced somehow, like something is missing. Will layer it. I love the bottles tho, I’ve purchased several mix bar perfumes pretty much as a blind buy, after checking out the notes and some reviews.

I’ve fell in love with this scent while sampling at Target. The tester barely had one last squirt left and luckily it was enough for me to determine that I absolutely love this fragrance. It’s a clean, fresh, aquatic delight. It gives me cool water vibes with a salty flare.

This is almost identical to Coolwater, but the salt note adds just a bit more complexity. It’s a nice aquatic, fresh, clean perfume. I love to layer this with EOS Fresh and Cozy lotion and Fine’ry I’m a Musk and it always makes me feel so relaxed and ready to start the day.

Another one that opens so fresh and floral, but quickly dries down to mostly beachie salt air, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just feel it loses some of its potential. As others have mentioned, perfect for layering with some these, so I decided to get it.
