Sparkling Hibiscus

I got the sample set and this was by far my favorite- I'm looking at the set right now and its the only sample bottle that is empty. My friend got a full size of it for my birthday yesterday (without even knowing that I've tried and loved this perfume, so it was a great surprise). Firstly, this is an incredibly fun fragrance that is perfect for summer and spring time, I could see this being the perfect cheap beach scent. Secondly, it reminds me a lot of a body spray in terms of the scent itself, but has the power of a regular perfume. I definitely sprayed too much the first few times I wore this because it really reminded me of a body spray, but the scent is a lot more concentrated and strong so I advise against that lol. It reminds me of Bath and Body Work's Champagne Toast, but more floral and the musk note makes it feel a bit more refined and mature. The musk base note is my favorite part of this perfume- it starts out as a strong fruity champagne smell and ends with a floral finish and skin-like musk.

I previously loved Bath & Body Works A Thousand Wishes, but its longevity, while pleasant, didn't always justify its average price (around $50-$60+ for the Eau de Parfum or $18.95 for the Fine Fragrance Mist). MIX:BAR Sparkling Hibiscus, is currently available for $15.99 for the 1.7 fl oz Eau de Parfum on Amazon (and $6.99 for the 5 fl oz Hair & Body Mist), it’s an incredible dupe. Its fresh hibiscus and uplifting scent is reminiscent of a refreshing cocktail. While its longevity is moderate, it performs comparably to A Thousand Wishes. To my surprise what makes this perfume exceptional is the response I receive. MIX:BAR Sparkling Hibiscus has garnered the most compliments in my collection. It's a refreshing happy scent that offers fantastic value. It’s an easy quick grab to wear while running errands. If you love A Thousand Wishes but want a more affordable, compliment-magnet alternative, this is it.

Purchased the Mix:Bar sampler pack, with Sparkling Hibiscus #07. Love this - fresh, sweet, with a bit of warmth in the dry down. Perfect for spring and summer day wear. A very happy scent. These scents are great 'starters' for those just dipping their toes into the fragrance world, or for the young. And they're affordable, too. But AS EVER with these cheaper scents, the sillage and longevity are practically non-existent. Sure, I could simply overspray, but it would be nice if there were just more 'oomph' to these scents from the onset. So you truly get what you pay for. Room-fillers these are not. The other scents in the pack are just...meh. Again, not really much to them, they're true 'skin huggers.' The only one I've really fallen in love with so far is Vanilla Bourbon (#09). Got a full sized bottle, and have already put quite a dent in it - will probably do the same with Sparkling Hibiscus!

Those saying this is strong must not own anything other than Target frags. This is a normal silage type of fragrance. You will need to reapply after 3ish hours on skin and 5ish hours on clothing. For the price though who cares. Light, bubbly, sweet, innocent floral good for all ages. Layer this with Delina or another lychee perfume makes the hibiscus pop! The champagne note keeps this light and airy. This wasn’t even on my radar and I was very surprised when after smelling every Mix:Bar scent this is the one I had to have. 🌺 🥂

Can't stop sniffing. This is another one that wafts around you like a scent bubble. You can smell it. So pretty. * uplifting * feminine * long lasting and projects on my skin * easy to wear....anytime /anywhere / non offensive * Back up bottle worthy Rating 10/10

I was shopping at Walmart for groceries when I seen this in the clearance section for $10! I figured I’d just blind buy it for my fiancé and hope she likes it. I did not think she would but once she smelled it I was amazed. I’ve never smelt a fragrance so good for $10! It was honestly a pretty good fragrance. Very fruity, sweet and fresh. Great addition to her summer rotation. Smell: 9/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Projection: 8/10 Bottle: 4/10 Price: 10/10

Juicy, tart hibiscus. Reminds me of a hair product I used in the 2000s, though I couldn't tell you which one. I try not to buy into the idea of fragrances as gendered or bounded by age, but this one is so sweetly floral and fruity that even I can't escape the idea that it's best for a younger woman or girl. I think it smells delicious, but as a nearly-30, balding, bearded bear, I feel silly wearing it anywhere but the gayest of spaces.

For me, this is such a happy and uplifting scent. I recommend it to everyone looking for a mood boosting fragrance, bc at this price there's not much to lose. Could someone hate it? Of course. Is that likely? Not at all. While I do consider it more fitting for warmer weather, I also absolutely love it in the dead of winter as a pick me up. Writing this review has me moving it into my perfume tray so I remember to wear it 😊

I just purchased this today, and I have to say "I love it!!" It reminds me alot of B&BW, Champaign Toast, but I wud prefer this one more. CToast seems to me it is mainly that sparkling note, but with this one I notice the Hibiscus and a dark berry note that gives it a bit more depth. For me, I cant stop smelling it, and Im already thinking of buying that "back up bottle." Safe blind buy.

Imagine walking along a beautiful beach at sunset smelling like a goddess. Always get compliments with this! It literally smells like Champagne Toast by Bath & Body with much better performance 💕 it smells amazing and sparkly in your hair ✨ I found myself reaching for this when packing for my travels over my expensive designer perfumes! Affordable, cute bottle, and amazing smell :)

Very sparkly! Like a cocktail. You get this initial spray of hibiscus or sweetened iced tea from the top notes and then it dries down to a candy, similar to a gummy bear. Very juicy and sweet! As a guy, it performs kinda poorly, the sweet iced tea scent I get disappears in the first hour, leaving me with the candy/gummy bear dry-down for a good 4 hours or so

Beautiful fragrance, sparkling, tart, and sweet bergamot with champagne, if you loved grapefruit frose from bath and body works, this is a very similar scent. The longevity isn't the best but for $20 I'm not worried about having to reapply. This is an amazing everyday scent for people who like bright, sparkling, fruity perfumes.

Love this! It is very sweet, sparkly, yet not juvenile. It's addicting. I agree, it smells a lot like Champagne Toast from B&BW. It doesn't list any berry notes, but they are definitely prevalent. So, nice! Love at first sniff. Also, after I washed my hands, I could still smell it on the back of my hand from my test spray.

I love this scent so much, it's so girly and fun. Definitely a warm weather fragrance. I get complimented anytime I wear it, very sweet fruits and champagne forward. My bottle is dwindling low and will repurchase once it's out, I carry it in my purse for when I'm out and about in the world! Such an easy scent to reach for.

I tried layering this today with Aquolina Pink Sugar and it is beautiful. Pink Sugar can be a little too deep of a sweet scent because of the burnt sugar accord, but adding this bright, sweet, fruity scent of Mix:Bar Sparkling Hibiscus is just what it needed for spring time on a sunny, warmer day.

Blind bought this online while it was on sale and was pleasantly surprised! A bright fruity, floral, citrus blend that fades into a subtle sweet musk. Decent longevity on me too. Quickly becoming a part of my regular rotation for spring.

Wow! This is amazing! I am going to buy the EDP as I only bought the body mist. I wasn't expecting this to be so good. Try it -- it's soooooo nice and the price is so reasonable!!!

Seriously gorgeous!! Once you smell it you can't stop! Very sweet and light but with just enough vanilla to bring it down. It has a similar vibe to those juicy jelly cups!

summer staple for me. yes it's cheap and it does smell younger but i'm young so thats not an issue lol. it's tart and fruity and has depth from the musk. light and fresh.

I always get compliments when I wear this. Great for layering with more high end perfumes. It takes the overall smell up a notch. I often wear with Valentino DBIR.

this is a LOVE!!! fruity, sweet and bubbly champagne-y cocktail. smells so good and fresh while still keeping that sweetness.

Tried this in the store and loved it! For a cheapie it has pretty decent longevity

I have both CT and SH, and I can say they don't smell anything alike at all. CT is a berries forward scent to my nose, where SH is through and through sparkle fizzy sweet champagne at the start then turn into somewhat greenish flower bud on the dry down. I love the opening smell only wish it would last a bit longer, I honestly don't know how they capture the bubbly fizzy champagne vibe in a bottle ♥ The over all longevity is about 6-7 hours on the skin quit decent for an affordable fragrance It is very sweet and I love it, SH is sweeter than Sweet like candy by AG The sweetness here is sugary sweet that realm, on my skin it doesn't turn powdery which is good, I cannot handle powdery notes whatsoever

This perfume is super fresh, extremely fruity, and heavy on the hibiscus. At first spray it is very tart, which quickly fades away to leave a sweet, berry-candy sweetness. It’s not super innovative, but it is a very happy smell. Wearing it on its own was nice, but layering it with cloud musk or whipped almond helped deepen it in to a more intriguing scent. I could see it being an excellent summer perfume by itself as it literally smells like a glass of iced fizzy hibiscus tea. I’m not really picking up on the similarities to Champagne Toast or In The Stars from B&BW as to my nose there is a lot more citrus in Sparkling Hibiscus. It’s a safe blind buy for those who enjoy sweet citrus scents.

I’m very picky with my fruity florals. I don’t like most of them, especially if they’re too sweet/vanillary. That tends to be sickening for me. :-( This one, however, because of the lack of a sweet note & the addition of aldehydes (one of my favorite notes for spring/summer scents), is very wearable for me! It’s fruity, floral, clean, fresh and, yes, kind of sparkling! I get some of the spiciness from the bergamot too. Low-key reminds me of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea. Really nice, imo. Perfect if you want a bright, feminine, pretty & NON-cloying fruity floral. I’ll be wearing this a lot this spring/summer.

I get tart right out of the gate. Fruity and floral. Not too sweet. This is really pretty. Ok now I checked the notes and champagne fits with the vibe because it is a bit effervescent. The musk is light and clean but is just enough to ground it. I would be interested to mix in a base note of wood here. Maybe cedar or sandalwood 🤔 not sure. Surprised me...pretty and refreshing. Perfect light spring scent. Definitely feminine imo. I came back to say I enjoy the packaging on these fragrances...simple and the frosted textured glass is a nice touch.

This is aptly named! The texture is quite effervescent, and the overall tone is wonderfully refreshing. It opens brightly, and doesn't necessarily smell like true hibiscus to me, but it's a juicy floral nonetheless. As it dries, something similar to the juice/syrup of cocktail fruits like peach or pear emerges, and it becomes less fizzy&citrus, and more truly fruity&musky. Longevity isn't great, but it's fine to reapply this. Today was hot, and this felt like most appropriate option from the brand, it's refreshing. 🥂

I had purchased the Mix:Bar sample set from Target and this one was my favorite of the bunch. I liked the others in the set as well, but this was the one I couldn't stop sniffing on my arm. I do not always enjoy overly fruity fragrances but I like hibiscus and this one made me go "mmm!" The champagne makes it effervescent and the bergamot adds some freshness to it. It's a bright, happy fragrance that would be great for summer, or any time you need a pick-me-up. It's a like for sure, maybe a love.

This is pretty and feminine. It’s not as weak as I thought it would be for a scent from Target and hey, I think it’s great! Good longevity and projection. It’s definitely a Spring/Summer scent because it smells fresh, fruity and floral. It’s perfect for spritzing it on the go, no after thought! I have not layered it with other scents yet but I bet it layers well with the blackberry one from that line as well as the vanilla one. All in all, a wonderful little purchase!

This scent is honestly really pretty. It’s certainly one of the harder scents to layer from Mix Bar, as it has a personality all on its own, but I do like it! It reminds me a lot of raspberry zinger tea- fruity, zesty, colorful. It’s got a little kick of citrus to it, which keeps it from being overly sweet or sugary. A girly, simple chapagne floral. I like to mix it with island vanilla which creates a smell really similar to Taylor Swifts old wonderlust perfume!!

purchased on sale at Walmart for $7 and i honestly feel like this is somewhat of a dupe for sparkling blush by Michael Kors (that’s been discounted) and lychee rose by NEST.. i will say, i don’t own either of those fragrances but i have smelled sparkling blush on someone and it reminds me of this ANDDD.. i’ve tested lychee rose in Ulta and it reminds me of this as well but more a youthful, flirty version of both. this is a safe blind buy, good for work.

I'm thinking it would be good to wear to the beach/boardwalk in the summer. It's a fun, sweet fragrance with almost a chalky vibe to it. Someone here mentioned smarties candies and to me those have a chalky-ness to them as well. Anyway, it's definitely candy sweet, so you'd have to be in the mood for that. Longevity & projection are decent...actually excellent for the price.

This is one of the best mix:bar scents, behind vanilla bourbon. This is a lovely sweet hibiscus scent. Not great sillage, but pretty good longevity for the price. Very very wearable. I would recommend this as a gift for a teenaged/younger girl, if you have any in your life. Kind of reminds me of a VS Pink perfume i used to have back in the day

This scent is so girly but not immature at all. It doesn’t smell cheap at all either which surprised me. This smells like bath and body works champagne toast and Bodycology’s coconut hibiscus had a baby (minus the coconut). It’s pretty, a little fresh and sweet. This definitely would be a perfect summer scent!

Zesty red fruit, like tangy strawberry to begin but unfortunately this delightful deliciousness does not last. Really good for just a very short time--just about long enough for a busy Target shopper to test and be wowed, then toss a rollerball in the cart. Shame.

Smells like a red fruit or berry soda or sparkling water. Sweet and effervescent. Imagine a sweet berry flavored juice but airier and made more into a fragrance. Young, refreshing, and energetic. Sweet, but not cloying. Leans feminine. An easy summer reach.

Definitely Pink floral vanille dominant, slightly synthetic and sweet. Best used with lotion, (creates a good all year round body scent). I also use this as a shoe spray, works really well with my body chemistry for some reason. Love it.

Wow! This smells almost exactly like fresh strawberries! And not the synthetic ones. It plays quite well with the hibiscus. It smells a tad cheap, but it is really beautiful. It smells like the color magenta. A very underrated scent!

This is a very, very nice scent. If it lasted longer, it would be fantastic. I wore it at home to test and refreshed it every 2-3 hours to keep the fragrance going. It's great for the price, but it's not long-lasting at all.

Sparkling Hibiscus is the perfect name for this perfume! It 100% smells just like a sophisticated sparkling cocktail made with real fruit juice, and it's not overly sweet. I love pairing it with Mod Vanilla. :)

Sweet, bubbly, smells like a fruity carbonated summer cocktail. Personally I felt it didn’t last long on me at all, however when I did spray it I had compliments from my coworkers about how good it smelled.

Very nice. Reminds me of frosted coconut snowball from b&bw, and eos coconut waters lotion. Loved this combo last summer.
