Wood Elixir

I absolutely LOVE this one! Too bad it's discontinued now. The lemon and red berries pop in the opening with a bright herbal green vibe. The patchouli is lingering sweetly in the background. The green medicinal nuisances quickly fade into the background and sweeten up bringing the vanilla forward a bit. I would NOT call this a vanilla heavy scent or gourmand fragrance at all. Then the cashmere woods note comes forward becoming the most prominent. I cant believe that the lemon note didn't get more votes for being prominent as to me this is very citrusy and bright. The dry down on my skin is wonderful but does have a soapy quality that I don't mind. This one absolutely gives clean girl in my opinion. The lasting power isnt the best on this one but it is my absolute favorite gym scent. It screams white cotton tee to me. Its a shame that Mix Bar discontinued this one because its 100% one of my favorite cheapies. Some mentioned that its the less strong little sister to Angel and I can see that in a way. Its in no way a dupe to Angel but it does kinda have some of the angel essence.

This is a really nice fragrance; it has become my favorite scent! It has the perfect blend of muskiness and sweetness. Target claims that the notes are: blackberry, rhubarb, lily of the valley, amber wood, and patchouli I definitely smell that blackberry in the opening, but also lemon. I'm shocked that Target didn't mention the jasmine in there. Once it dries down, all I smell is musk and jasmine; those really project on my skin. I feel like these two notes are the perfect combo! I only get the slightest pinch of patchouli and I don't really smell amber wood. Only downside is that it doesn't last that long on the skin, but it does have great longevity on clothes. Little goes a long way in that case. I wish the bottle was bigger for the price. I just got the bottle not too long ago and it's almost gone, sadly. This is my new skin scent!!! Will continue to purchase because I love this!

I’ve had this little bottle since 2022 or 2023, I think, and I have not used it much because up until recently, its longevity was abysmal... I tried it today and this is so pretty!! Soft, sweet but not too sweet, woodsy but not overly so. It reminds me of Angel by Thierry Mugler but on a much smaller scale, scent wise. Angel is way strong and in your face, this here, is soft and transparent. The patchouli is ethereal (yes, ethereal) and so well behaved, I love it! And yes, the longevity is now 8+ hours compared to when I’d first gotten it. This one and Blackberry Tonic are my favorites from the older collection. They are also discontinued which is a shame...

The notes from the Target website are: Blackberry, Rhubarb, Lily Of The Valley, Amber Wood, Patchouli -- which sounds more accurate to me. This is a stunning fragrance. It's warm and comforting, moderately sweet and different from everything else I have. There is a big patchouli presence and it's gorgeous here. It's a toss-up for me between this and Vanilla Bourbon as my favorite from this line. I will say though, the hair & body mist from Wood Elixir is barely registering on me, even though I sprayed it all over my hair (as opposed to the hair & body mist for Vanilla Bourbon which turned out to be very potent) but the perfume itself is divine.

This is one of my favorite fragrances, and so unique! I am a sucker for anything with woody notes, and while the woods don't dominate as much as the name implies, they are nicely balanced with the other notes present. I love wearing this in the fall especially, but I haven't noticed it being out of place during other seasons. It is not particularly strong, and that is one of the reasons I love it. My mother who is allergic or over sensitive to almost every other fragrance I have ever tried is not bothered by this at all, so I can indulge my love of fragrance even while hanging out with her. I truly love this.

bought a couple years ago at target. not woody (rip the name) but a really nice sweetness that isn't saccharine. i can also wear it every season, tho i think it might not be summery enough for some. not a gourmand scent to me at all, the vanilla is super subtle. i really like this one, sad it's discontinued

I really enjoy the warm vanilla fruitiness of this perfume but the lasting power... I have to nearly soak my clothing in it to have it last a few hours. Which is sad because it's a nice smell at a great price.

This reminds me of Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body works but the way they used to make it when it first came out years ago. Wood Elixer if not my taste (my husband loved this one and wishes I smelled like this all the time LOL) but I do like it on someone else. Sugary vanilla scent w/ a slight fruitiness, muskiness and woodiness. An easy blind buy for a vanilla lover. Wood Elixer was the best in this line in my opinion. Smells like a Bath and Body Works fragrance when they made decent quality for a good price, sadly that company has gone to the dogs. If you miss a good inexpensive vanilla scent and let's face it vanilla perfumes keep going up in price, give Wood Elixer a try.

I disagree that this smells juvenile but I am a grown woman who likes smelling like a fairy princess so my opinion doesn’t really count there. I’m not really a woody scent person. Earthy scents tend to smell like fancy dirt to me. But I do like this smell. It’s a musky fruity woody scent without being too masculine. Towards the end the deeper notes wear off and you’re left with faint vanilla and fruity notes. My only gripe is that I wish this performed better. I know it’s only $20 but I sprayed it all over and couldn’t get any presence worth mentioning. Even Solinotes at Target performs well at this price point so I’m gonna pass but I will look for a stronger similar scent.

There isn't much woodiness in this, but it's not a bad skin scent. I don't get much of the florals in this, but I did find it to be enjoyable. Opens with a bright citrus, and it dries down to a slightly creamy, fruity musk. Unfortunately, I did not find that this lasted very long or was very noticeable, so I found I had re-spray over the course of the day. Good news is, the price and availability make this a great addition to a collection, especially if you're just getting into the perfume game and want to add to your collection without spending tons of money.

I think I bought mine a couple years a couple years ago and it's a nice fruit, floral, woody blend I like. I recently tried to use it and all the scent was gone same with it's matching body spray, all I smelled was alcohol . Same with the whipped almond body spray that I purchased that was on clearance of an unknown age, the scent lasted like ten minutes. You can expect fade from body sprays after they age but perfume is not suppose to do that. Needless to say I will not be purchasing any more mix:bar

This perfume reminds me the tiniest bit of Angel...as if you sprayed one spritz of Angel into the air and came back into that room the next day and could just get a hint of that smell. This is not a powerful perfume and I was pretty disappointed that I couldn’t smell it after a few hours but I’ve received several compliments on it at work. I spray it liberally and enjoy how warm and cozy it is.

Smells much higher-end and adult than the price tag would suggest! Lightly spicy and powdery, a clean musky-woodsy scent. I don't find it fruity at all. But it's also not what I'd have expected if you told me to picture "woods." I find this cozy and inoffensive, great for a "your skin but better" type scent, but I'm disappointed by the subtly and lack of staying power.

I agree with others, there is no woodiness at all in this scent. It's very sweet and light. I get sugared lemon and berries on top of fluffy vanilla. The dry down turns into musky skin scent and lasts about 4 hours on me. I love to layer this when I need a bright, cheery pick-me-up.

This and BBW’s Secret Wonderland are exactly the same. Seems like somewhat of a pattern with Mix Bar (I’m looking at you Cloud Musk or should I call you kaleidoscope 🤨). It does smell good, though.

This is more of a cold weather scent. I think it smells good, musky, sweet, a little woody,spicyish. It just has very weak lasting power so I probably wouldnt repurchase.

Not my style. I get sweet, warm, cozy, somewhat masculine vibes (but not spicy. Or woody). It's sweet but I disagree that it's as sugary as Warm Vanilla Sugar. Would be a good bedtime scent. I have the body spray version and might keep it to layer over my light florals for the winter to cozy them up, but only because I feel bad returning a bottle that I sprayed a few times. The product's website mentions LotV in the fragrance's description, but then doesn't list it in the notes. Confusing. I don't get a floral dimension with this at all, which I would have liked. For the price, I actually do think it's a good buy if you like this sort of scent. It's at least worth sniffing a sample next time you're buying toilet bowl cleaner, cat food, a fake plant, premixed margaritas and baby socks (or whatever you get at Target!)

Lighter than a shadow, close to the skin woody musk with just a tad of vanilla. Goes from warm/cozy to a barely there skin scent in 0 - 60 on my skin. You could wear this in the OR prepped for surgery or an allergy clinic and not get anyone riled up about you wearing fragrance, it gets that subtle. Seriously, if I didn't remember where I sprayed this after less than 5 minutes I wouldn't know I had on any at all. Very disappointed in this. And you call yourself an EdP . . . Ironically this one smells way more like clouds and musk, and Cloud Musk smells very woodsy. It opens with a nice fruitiness, and settles into a sweet and clean scent. I don't get a lot of the vanilla other people are getting, and I'm kind of okay with that. I think something that people aren't taking into account with this scents complexity is that it is meant to be layered with the other perfumes in this line. I think it's fine on its own, but it'll be fun seeing how it plays with the other mix bar fragrances.

The fruit did not appear as I expected it to. I mostly get a vaguely woody, somewhat dusty yet creamy vanilla sweet kind of vibe with the blackberry and raspberry briefly popping in. The lemon was as noticeable as someone trying to whisper through a brick wall. Overall not my vibe, but I wouldn't dismiss it for other people who like that kind of thing. I don't think the name is terribly accurate.
