Eau de Gingembre

This uses C02 extraction which is 500 times the cost hydrocarbon extraction. You've never smelled anything more realistic citrus/ginger combo than this. This opens with an explosion of bright, tangy, bergamot with some green petigrain in the background. Then, there's an explosion of ginger. Lots and lots of ginger, with touches of fig and cypress in the back. I get a 6 hours on skin and 8 on clothing before I need to refresh. This does not smell like chemicals to me. This has taken the #1 spot in my warm weather citrus frags from Bergamote 22 (which has abysmal performance); and I normally don't even like ginger. It's expensive, but it was expensive to make. You can feel the quality here. Side note: this gets tons of compliments if that's something you care about. Scent 9.5/10 Performance 6/10

The first time I smelled this I exclaimed out loud. WOW! Such a photo-realistic ginger scent in the opening. Freshened and brightened with the bergamot, without giving it that lemon-pledge cleaning product vibe. The neroli is delicate and beautiful. I like how this floral note is warming and softens any sharp edges. And thankfully, the neroli doesn't make it heavy or nauseating like florals can sometimes get, I think that's helped by the zingy opening and the lightly woody base. It's fresh, it's clean, it's chic as Hell! And yeah, it's unisex: as a woman I feel really sexy, energized and chic when I wear it. Unfortunately, I only have a small travel size...looks like I'm gonna have to shell out the big bucks for a full bottle!!!

this is a hidden gem that i wish got more attention! if you even remotely like ginger, this is THE fragrance for you. i cant say enough good things about this fragrance. moderate sillage and moderate lifespan; this fragrance opens up with a burst of fresh ginger and bright bergamot, then the fig and white wood starts to peek through. this scent makes me feel clean and confident, and my wife loves it. 9/10

Ginger that turns into neroli. Very clean and fresh. I don't get the same performance issues mentioned by some commenters here, though I am an oversprayer. I get very good sillage and longevity and have gotten a few compliments. "Lemon Pledge" seems to be a common accusation leveled against many tart citrus-forward fragrances on this site, but I don't get that here. I love it.

A punch in the face photorealistic ginger with POWER! Great sillage, great longevity. I wanted Ingenious Ginger to be like this but it was not. I am so happy I found this gem which is absolutely full bottle worthy! If you want a sprizy, refreshing ginger scent, you should give this a try, it is phenomenal!

Absolutely true, fresh ginger. Bright, but with character, and for a freshie, decent staying power. I had been on a mission to find a ginger-forward scent the would be an uplifting, everyday scent. This checks all the boxes for me. It’s quite pricy, so look for sales on Maxaroma.

One of the best ginger dominant scents, with an opening blast of fresh bergamot before going into a zesty ginger direction. Base is more complex with additional woods, neroli and fig leaf. Refreshing and long lasting, I only wish Mizensir sold smaller bottles.

If you love ginger, do yourself a favour! This is the best reference ginger I have smelled. It is fresh and clean and has the bite. Almost without saying, quality and class all the way.

as a ginger lover and an Alberto fan, this is amazing. zingy, warm, and inviting type of freshness. performance is ass but the scent profile is a 10/10.

Eau de Gingembre opens with promise—a bright, citrusy shimmer that reminds me of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche in its creamy-lemon polish. It wears easy and breezy, never sharp or biting. For a fragrance named after ginger, though, the ginger itself is surprisingly subdued. As it dries down, I find it shifts into territory that recalls Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino, though softer, slightly fruitier, and less soapy. It has that clean, cologne-like charm, but lacks the strength or definition of its inspirations. Projection is light, and even with a generous application, it stays fairly subtle. It’s pleasant—a background scent more than a statement, suitable for warm days or casual wear, but for me it doesn’t leave much of a mark. Between Eau de Gingembre, Neroli Portofino, and Neroli Portofino Forte, I’d reach for the Forte every time. Too bad it’s been discontinued. This one, while refined and wearable, just doesn’t bring enough character to stand out in a category filled with stronger personalities. That said, I can see it shining in early summer, when its lightness feels intentional rather than underwhelming.

A punch of ginger right out of the gate, which then quickly backs off just a smidge to allow the petitgrain and bergamot to come through. These notes end up giving it something of a lemongrass accord. The bergamot feels a little lime-y here; it’s nice to actually smell it for a change. This is probably one of the most petitgrain-forward scents I have ever smelled, which is super interesting. I love how it brings what are usually background notes out to play. The fresh ginger note really allows them to shine. Dries down into an increasingly nice cypress/fig, which I personally prefer to the opening. There is something of a tea sensibility about it, like an herbal lemongrass tea. At once calming and energizing, like some type of aromatherapy. Probably better as an essential oil in bodywork or in a diffuser to my taste. It has great longevity for such light notes. I sprayed some on before bed and I could still smell it in the morning. I'm not much of a ginger person, but this is executed very, very well. If anything I've described sounds up your alley, I highly encourage you to give it a try. 7.5/10.

Eau de Gingembre by Mizensir is a warm spicy citrus yet perfect for warmer spring or summer days. I usually avoid warm spicy fragrances on hot days, but Eau de Gingembre does the impossible and makes that combination a must have. Alberto Morillas is a giant in the industry and this fragrance is typically groundbreaking. Ginger is not a common note and definitely not a dominant one. Here Alberto takes ginger and matches it perfectly with citrus and citric green notes to create a cleansing fragrance that is absolutely unisex. Just brilliant. I understand the comparison with 4711s Acqua Colonia Lemon & Ginger, but it is so much more than that. With all due respect to 4711, it is infinitely more refined.

Very VERY Citrus-y!! This reminds me of Zest! For those of you who bought the bar of soap called Zest! you’ll know what I mean : ) this is Zest to a T!! This fragrance will wake you up and keep you on your toes all day! I mean citrus, ginger, Neroli and petit grain all together make this scent a true citrus bomb! I love citrus fragrances though this one goes into soap territory really quickly and I am not sure I like that... Definitely not blind buy safe! Glad I got a sample, I will not be getting a full bottle but I will give my sample to my husband to try as it does lean a tad bit masculine.

Yep, this is Fan-bloody- tastic!! Sensational ! Completely nailed the ginger note to a perfection, natural and realistic fresh ginger. Not the synthetic smelling stuff like vibrato or ingenious ginger are doing, this hands down beats every other ginger fragrance on the market Edit - ok I spoke too soon the dry down is all neroli dominant and smells too similar to bvlgari wood neroli, tom ford neroli portofino & dunhil icon in the dry down. I wish that ginger top note stuck around the whole time

There's 2 types of people, those who know what ginger is and what it smells like.... then people who just call everything lemon pledge. Those who truly know what real ginger smells like, well this fragrance smells exactly like real ginger. If demeter released this and called it "real ginger" then it could pass as a single note fragrance for sure. This one definitely seems like it's made for layering

Eau de Gingembre will clear your nostrils and refresh your senses! To me this is a crisp and safely unisex fragrance. Starts with a vigorous burst of ginger and dries down to a citrus/woodsy scent with traces of ginger lingering for a few hours. A nice alternative to mint if you want a simple scent that wakes you up.

this is a great sophisticated summer scent. it smells amazing with the ginger notes and it sometimes smell like very nice candy but in a good way. for the price honestly a bit dissapointed by its sillage and longevity, you need to spray a couple to be able to "show it off" but apart from that i love it

l loved the notes mixing of this perfume (mainly ginger and citrus dry down) but this also reminds me a very popular 80's Rexona deodorant fragrance... l still can remember its appearance: it was an yellowish spray can, with greenish text and logo; l think the fragrance was called "lemon".

Really fresh and zingy! I have to say the super realistic ginger in the opening is a bit much for me, but once it calms down and more citrus enters it's pretty awesome. For sure not worth the price unfortunately... mostly because of performance for me.

Really sparkly citrus ginger, as if you dropped freshly cut ginger into a Sprite. When it dries down and the ginger fades away, it smells a lot like Afternoon Swim by LV. I like it, but I do not like that price. Way overpriced for what it offers.

Biting bergamot and ginger opening, a fresh and fizzy ice-cold ginger ale leaning ever-so-slightly bitter. Supported by a light woody base, which becomes more prominent as it dries down. Moderate projection fades over 2-3hr, longevity 10-12hr.

Eau de Gingembre is a very sparkly ginger and citrus fragrance. It does not project much and longevity is average for what it is. Nice fragrance but way overpriced.

Very zesty -- this is a zing in the morning. A splash of zest. The ginger sharpens the petitgrain and neroli - -very sharp, fresh, zesty, happy.

$260 for photorealisitic ginger water. The performance is criminally poor, even Jo Malone cologne's intensity is better than this. I had the highest hope for Eau de Gingembre for the whole Mizensir line because I am addicted to Health-Ade Ginger Lemon Kombucha and wanted to translate this gastronomic love into olfactory. Although this fragrance smells amazing, it is also too fleeting.

I had really high hopes for this. But ultimately, this is sort of what one would expect from Morillas. A solid but generic freshie that does showcase ginger, but the citrus and woods feel artificial and ultimately remind me A LOT of Nikos Sculpture. This is an easy FB pass. I don't hate it...it is pleasant. But you can get this kind of scent for pennies on the dollar.

This is a bright, fresh fragrance. To my nose, it’s bergamot heavy more so than ginger. I don’t get lemon pledge at all. This could be a great hot weather fragrance. It would certainly feel cooling. Kind of in the mode of verveine cedrat but a different scent profile. May be decant worthy but I don’t think it’s full bottle worthy for me.

this smells exactly like the yellow Zest soap bar, linear from begining to the end. Might as well order the soap bar and see if you like it, it would be cheaper than the sample too. Longevity and projection are moderate, i still like it for layering purposes but at this price range i expect more, much more.

Amazing ginger and bergamot combo, but that’s it. To my nose it lacks balance. It becomes too Pledge wood cleaner on me. Eau de Gingembre lacks story telling, to my nose. Fresh, yes, Summer time would be ideal for this one, but it’s hard to get past the Lemon Pledge vibe for me.

Opening smells like sweet and spicy gingerbread. Really nice and it's a shame this stage disappears in seconds. After that you get Lemon dish soap for the rest of the perfume. It's a harsh synthetic chemical smell and not the quality you'd expect from something this expensive.

This is very strong and spicy 🌶 when you first spray it after that it settles down to this citrus fragrance. Great for summer. I personally would not buy it just because I’m not a big fan of citrus fragrances unless they wow me like few.

Aromatic, clean, and citrusy. Smells very clean so much so that it goes into citrus soap or citrus cleaner territory. That said, it still smells good. This is for those want to smell clean like soap. -

Refrigerated ginger water with pine-lemon floor cleaner. The thin kick of ginger is strongest at first. After an hour of wear, I think I smell like a table someone sprayed with Pledge.

This is a pretty realistic ginger note but I can't get past the Lemon Pledge furniture polish vibe. Glad I sampled first because to me, this is NOT worth $285.

oof this reminds me of lemon cleaning spray, I wore this for an hour before I had to scrub it off so I can't speak about the longevity beyond that. I generally like ginger scents - L'immensite, Ani, and Neroli Plein Sud are some of my favorites and the other notes are also found in my top scents but this is a hard pass. I do like the Mizensir house but this is a dud in my opinion.

I'm getting more lemon pledge cleaner from this fragrance than ginger

Watery ginger. The Mizensir website describes Eau de Gingembre thus: "In perfumery, citrus would usually be used to express invigorating freshness. Like a travel memory in India where the air gets refreshed through sprays of ginger water..." There is a brewery near where I live. It sources local ginger and brews ginger beer. I can occasionally smell the ginger as I drive past. It's similar to Eau de Gingembre. It's more diffusive than the smell of a freshly-snapped piece of ginger and while ginger's characteristic pungency and sharpness is still there, it's tempered by an aquatic touch. A dash of citrus. The words 'invigorating' and 'refreshing' come to mind and I would go so far as to say 'ginger tonic water'. Very clean. One of the two most ginger-dominant fragrances I have tried (the other being Mystery Tobacco - haven't tried Heeley's Zest de Gingembre) Almost a ginger soliflore - or whatever people call the herbaceous equivalent of a soliflore! I really like it.

This is very much a ginger scent wrapped up as a Citrus Aromatic, with a little dollop of fig fruit that is lingering in the background as it dries down. It has the neroli/petitgrain combo which is quite common, but the heightened ginger and fig dollop is what sets this apart. I have Serge Lutens 5 O'clock Au Gingembre sprayed on my right wrist to compare with this Mizensir Eau de Gingembre. Two very different ginger scents. This Mizensir is a a quite bright Citrus Aromatic, while the Serge Lutens is a more complex and unique interpretation of a ginger scent profile. The 5 O'clock has a tea note, honey, cacao and amber to really set it apart. 5 O'clock Au Gingembre will remain my favorite ginger scent, with Bvlgari Tygar - the simpler but very enjoyable scent - second. Mizensir Eau de Gingembre is a good one though.

Good fragrance (8/10), very potent zingy opening develops into a woody/green smell. But do not be fooled. In my opinion this is NOT a summer fragrance. I find it to be best worn in the winter months. The freshness of ginger opening cuts through cold air and lasts for a decent time before developing into white wood notes. But the wood notes are there! In the summer the ginger notes fade extremely quickly and you are left with a heavier wood notes which do not suit the temperatures.

A healthy sip of fizzy lemon soda then immediately head for a stroll through an orange grove breathing in the fresh spring blossoms. What a surprising delight. Truly like two completely different fragrances in one! I do wish it lasted a bit longer...but if you are not opposed to a frequent respray...this is a refreshing spring/summer scent. I loved it!

All i get is ginger. Might as well just go to the grocery store to buy some and rub it all over yourself...All jokes aside it’s not bad. I’m just not sure if i want to walk around smelling like straight up ginger all day. Not full bottle worthy for me, especially at that price. A sample will do for whenever i’m feeling it. Maybe it’ll grow on me.

As I sit here on my phone, taking the time to write on this forum about this particular fragrance. The only thing that comes to mind when reminiscing about my initial experience with this scent is "Floor cleaner" and then some type of molecule scent for the remainder of the experience. Not worth the price. IMO, of course.

Smells amazing, but even after over spraying the smell has pretty much gone by the time i have left Harvey Nicks (where I sample it). Pointless purchase unless you are literally going to carry it around with you and reapply every 10 mins

It was a beautiful perfume, but it is the first perfume in my collection which has gone bad in 2 years, It now smells like fish unfortunately. I don't think I will replace my bottle. If you finish your perfumes in a year or so go for it.
