For Your Love

(Warning: this is going to be long and kind of crazy) Let me preface by saying that I have not smelled nor am I familiar with the "BR540" DNA. I know it's popular but it wasn't where I'm from, and I guess that because a lot of my work is in controlled environments and I don't have (much of) a social life, I've never come across this strain of ethyl-maltol-laden DNA. Essentially, I can't comment on this fragrance's relation to BR540. Longevity and sillage: Relentless till the 8th hour, you get whiffs of it at random intervals. Close to the skin by the 12th hour, but still lingering. I think this fragrance and even it's longevity & sillage depends on skin chemistry as this is a molecularly evolving perfume. Might smell different on different people. The fragrance: It starts off with a tart, not juicy, raspberry- as if you plucked it off a tree, and washed it with ice-cold water. Fruity fragrances tend to go extremely sour on me and lose all their sweetness, but not this one. On first spray, that "airiness" that people speak of comes through. It floods my nostrils and stays there, but causes nary a headache nor a sneeze. I start to think, it's not that impressive- where's the patchouli that I love? An hour passes, I'm walking, and I smell something intoxicating in the air. It alternates between sweet and sharp like a sinusoidal wave and I cannot figure out if it is from a man or a woman. Until I realise- it's me. The flirtatious raspberry is cloaked in a delectably smooth veil of musk. The patchouli seems clean, innocent but omnipresent. I get whiffs of it throughout the day. There are two main facets that I can discern. First, when it smells mildly sweet, there's an elegance to it- it smells like a C-suite office or brand new gold jewellery. Love it but it feels like I have no business wearing it as a scientist in a messy apartment. This persists for a few hours; the sweetness is kind and the patchouli is gentle and the sharpness I mentioned before is not frequent enough to notice. But what's dangerous is what comes after. The second facet. The patchouli gets warmer (presumably with benzoin), sexier, more than a caress; it asks you to adjust. It reminds me of a man; nobody in particular but of a situation where I'm close to one. The room starts to feel like there are two people in it because my neck smells like the five o'clock shadow of an older gentleman who wears Terre d'Hermes just nuzzled against it after a long day of work. A fling? No, more serious. I imagine a man who wears this will be reminded of his s/o in the same way. The sweetness is still there to assert femininity and power, and he is there to empower her. Addictively sensual while being airy and shimmering. Here's the issue. I start to relish in it. Having been content by my lonesome for eternity, this feels like the hug I didn't know I secretly wanted. I then feel pathetic for enjoying the shadow of a presence. I almost want to cry, but I get another hint of that intoxicating warmth that anchors me. Morillas' choice of words was a masterstroke. "For Your Love"- but what if I have never been in love? "That's alright, darling." This makes me want to throw the rest of the sample away, or get rid of my collection and only wear this. You could say, it's not that deep, I'm just an over-analyst in a trance. I have a relatively small collection, and I agree that this is terrible as a review. But this is something rare and personal; comforting and seductive confidence in a bottle. The boyfriend experience. Should I be wearing it minus the boyfriend? I don't know if I should get a bottle to bask in the pseudo-comfort or abstain to preserve my heart on solo movie nights. But life is short, and I love this so. I'm afraid I can't stay away. "For your love, my thoughts do fly, Seeking grace where hope is shy."

I bought For Your Love secondhand for around 60 euros — almost new, basically a bargain. I had never smelled it before, but since I adore Sweet Praline by Mizensir, I decided to take the risk. Before my bottle arrived, I went to a store in my city that carries it, just to finally smell it. My first spray honestly slapped me across the face — I didn’t like it at first. But as it started to settle down and merge with my skin chemistry, something changed. I began to really like it. Then I got hooked. I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist where I sprayed it. It almost gave me a headache because I over-sprayed it in the store, but like a toxic first boyfriend, you still want more. Is it called For Your Love because of this? Because for your love... I can have a headache and still get drunk on your sweetness. I must add: this is nothing like Sweet Praline. For Your Love is the toxic boyfriend : irresistible, thrilling, a little dangerous. Sweet Praline is the nice husband who never hurts you. Now I’m wearing a little sample the lady at the store kindly gave me, and as I’m writing this, I keep smelling it — over and over. The most dominant note, without a doubt, is raspberry. It completely hypnotizes everything else. There’s also a subtle spiciness from the patchouli, though it stays in the background. The raspberry is what truly takes the spotlight. When I wore it to the movies to watch Frankenstein, the scent immediately transported me into a gothic, Victorian fantasy — like walking through candlelit halls in a black velvet dress. It has that retro, elegant, mysterious aura; almost like something from another era. I honestly don’t understand why this perfume is described as unisex. To me, it leans very feminine — the raspberry is sweet, rich, and seductive. My boyfriend said it smelled “too sweet” and “tutti-frutti,” which made him dislike it, but I couldn’t care less. I love it precisely because it’s unapologetically sweet, decadent, and magnetic. Longevity: impressive. I applied it around 11 a.m., and by 2 p.m. it was still going strong on my clothes with the same intensity. It lasts for hours and holds its power beautifully. It’s a unique perfume — I can’t really compare it to anything else I’ve smelled. It’s a mature raspberry, not childish or cheap, blended with patchouli and amber that give it an elegant, witchy, almost gothic depth. It’s sexy, refined, and a little extravagant. If you’re a gothic girl like me — always dressed in black and in love with real leather — this scent feels like the perfect finishing touch. It’s darkly elegant, mysterious, and magnetic. But yes, it’s not for everyone. It’s sweet, bold, and can feel intoxicating. Personally, I’m obsessed. It makes me feel powerful, sensual, and magnetic, like a gothic heroine in a Victorian novel. For Your Love is hypnotic, intoxicating, and simply unforgettable. For Your love; It’s not a perfume it’s a spell. And I was foolish enough to cast it on myself.

no one: me: decanted Tres Chere, blind bought For Your Love This is a very elegant scent. It's sugary sweet, airy, a bit soapy and ultra feminine. It lasts all day and projects around arm-length. I'm kinda oddly nose-blind to it so I don't actually smell it on myself, but I keep on getting a light wisp of it the whole day and I love that. It's quite inoffensive and you can overspray it a bit and it'll still be office-friendly. It also has this likeable uniqueness, like i have never smelt something quite like it before but it's not too niche to the point that it's not blind-buyable at all. I sampled BR540 and owned Lancome Tresor La Nuit. I'm even more nose-blind to BR540 but they don't smell similar imo and LTLN has some similarities with FYL but it's much louder and less elegant. Very old-money type of scent, many of Mizensir perfumes are actually. Personally I think it suits all seasons all occasions, but it'll do exceptionally well on romantic dinner dates and hotter weathers (maybe not boiling summer though), or warm winter days. Is it worth the price tag? I think so. Will I buy it again when my bottle runs out? Probably not. But as of now, I crave for FYL every day, even when going to bed. It's just so warm, sweet and feminine, it makes me feel like a princess who has her life together and owns everything in pink (very barbie), but it's not juvenile at all. It's quite linear though, so probably is not suitable if you want a chameleon kind of perfume. It suits ladies who are in their 20s-30s the most I feel like. I'll probably buy Tres Chere after I finish FYL. That scent is also lovely. 8/10 Update 08/09: almost half a bottle gone 🥰 that's how much i love it also you kinda have to use at least 10 sprays with this. Update 31/10: It's a 10/10 now. Update 12/2024: just get it. You won't regret. Surprisingly smells even better when it's hot outside. I reach for it whenever I don't know what I should wear. Love how it makes me feel so expensive and well-put-together 💕

Interesting, very interesting, very unique, I've not smelt anything like it, but then again I've not smelt baccarat rouge 540. I did 2 sprays into the air, and then one spray onto the tester strip, in the air, it smells slightly dated, I’m imagining the inside of a purse during the early 90’s, this smell is very present in the air and is met with small whiffs of raspberry and then blanketed in a musk, it’s different but I really quite enjoy it. On the tester strip I pick up a lot of the raspberry, the raspberry smells slightly fizzy to my nose, again the musk is here, along with a 90’s feel. I’ll have to test on skin soon and update, but so far so good I really enjoy it. I don’t imagine this would be mass appealing, it’s one of those ones where you either really dig it or hate it, I thankfully really dig it, spray this one with caution it is quite loud, I think it would be quite suffocating to others around you if you were to overspray. As for it being unisex, I personally feel it’s leaning a lot more to the feminine side. I’m not sure where it would be most fitting for it to be worn, it feels as if it needs a particular occasion for it to be worn, it’s not striking me as your everyday pick, but of course each to their own. A winter pick. Will try some other fragrances from this house at a later date. Update- Wore this on skin, the fruitiness from the raspberry does come out, the dated smell is still there but in the best of ways, really love this one.

I heard about this perfume through a blogger who recommended as a must have spring scent. I went to check it out at the Mizensir boutique. At first spray I couldn't understand why she would recommend it for spring as it came off woody and heavy. I went on to carry on a conversation with the saleswoman about the other scents and as I went back to sniff the card again I was surprised by how soft and pleasant it became. I finally put it to skin when I got home and it was almost reminiscent of something pleasant I smelled before. It definitely has the scent of clean skin. I wore it outside and the air around me filled with scent. Nothing at all heavy. Almost like an airy bubble. When I sat in my car it dawned on me that it smelled like makeup. Again, still pleasant. I think this could be my signature scent. I think if a man wore it he would definitely be set up for a second look. The sent is just all around appealing. The scent can be compared to the dry down of Kilian's ... Princess.

Beautiful well blended powdery raspberry ambergris concoction with sillage and longevity that makes this price point worth it. Lasts for weeks on clothes. Compliments galore. I just feel so pretty when I wear this, and this makes people want to snuggle up to me and come back for second sniffs. It really shines in the winter. Timeless elegance, if you have the skin chemistry for it. I love that this a fragrance that makes me feel so womanly and elevated without a hint of floral. paper it smells completely unremarkable and just plain powdery. I completely disagree with the grandma comments, and i think those are just lazy reviews- it's just your scent association. Your granny had immaculate taste. I've had this bottle for over two years now- it's my date night fragrance. The first time I wore this, was on my first anniversary, and first time at an upscale steak house with my now fiancé, so it holds a special place in both of our hearts.

Right off the bat, For Your Love is fruity, flirty, pretty, and girly...in a classy and refined way. After about 20 minutes, I'm not sure if the raspberry tones down or if the other notes become more pronounced, but once that happens, this becomes more musky and unisexy. This might be the prettiest patchouli ever...super clean, all the earthiness has been scrubbed away. That and the benzoin bring a light sweetness to the muskiness. It reminds me of clean skin. The fruitiness remains throughout the entire wear and makes this feel light and bright. The overall effect is very polished and streamlined...easy, but still swank. For You Love wears really well and performs great. The best part is the strong wafts you get hours after spraying and then realizing that it is you that smells so good. The scent is addicting. This is one of my favorites...love this stuff.

This does not smell like baccarat rouge, not the EDP nor the Extrait. Although someone did ask me if I was wearing baccarat rouge 540 when I wore this lol. I just don't see a similarity in the opening to mid to dry down at all, and I believe comparing this to BR540 takes away from the stand-alone beauty of this fragrance. Try being more open-minded, not everything needs to be a baccarat "dupe". This fragrance is so well blended and the raspberry adds just the perfect amount of fruity sweetness, while still remaining a mature and sexy fragrance. A little animalic but in an addictive way; a perfect aphrodisiac. My most complimented perfume ever...definitely recommend this for a date night. and no....this doesn't smell like "old lady" so please stop using this inaccurate depiction and ageist term to describe the scent of a fragrance.

Blast of fresh, raw raspberry. Sour and sweet. Patchouli in the back even at the opening. In warmer weather, I get much more of the raspberry. In colder weather, it starts off more patchouli, musky, and benzoin. By that I mean it’s rich, deep, thick smelling. It comes together smelling like a 2010s fruitchouli perfume but done in a luxurious way. If this were a color, it would be a deep, velvety burgundy. The description says it should smell like powdery makeup and inhaling your lover’s neck... That’s very far off. I think this smells very much like a classic, well-performing fruitchouli perfume. It’s tart yet warm and deep. It’s not powdery in a makeup/lipstick way. The powderiness is heavier and conjures imagery of red velvet. It projects and projects throughout the day. Very high-quality fragrance.

Clearly, this is Alberto Morillas interpretation of a very recognizable caramelized amber DNA, the kind associated with fragrances like Sensual Instinct, Amber Fever, Baccarat Rouge 540, and even Patiala by Thameen. It firmly belongs to that same olfactory family, built around a dense caramelized amber accord enriched with smooth patchouli. The caramel feels molten and indulgent, wrapped in warm amber facets, while the patchouli is beautifully handled, soft, slightly sweet, and seamlessly blended, adding depth without turning earthy or harsh. It’s delicious, sensual, festive, and confidently bold. If you don’t already own something within this DNA, or if you truly love this addictive profile, this is for you. Otherwise, it may feel redundant if you prefer not to repeat the same olfactory signature.

Out of the several blind buy fails that I made this summer/spring this was a pleasant surprise. Now it’s not similar or a flanker to BR 540, and I will say I do love that fragrance but ended up selling my bottle due to all the duping of that DNA. For Your Love is a superb alternative. It goes on sweet and romantic but then you get that smooth sexy patchouli making its way to the front after a couple of hours. Something very addicting and sexy about it. I’m not sure about the sillage. No one has noticed it on me yet (I’ve only wore it out twice) but I do love getting whiffs of it. It feels like a hefty fragrance but by no means cloying or offensive. It creates a beautiful airy scent bubble around you and it’s not a common fragrance that everyone is wearing. This is a love for me!

The main components are Catelox, Exaltone, and Evernil (synthetic oakmoss, this is the "baccarat-ade"). This dries down entirely to Exaltone and Ambroxan. Yes it is LIKE b540 in the open, but the drydown is all Catelox/ambroxan done well. Exaltone is a note that takes the sharpness off musk, and takes the "lipstick" off of iris and smashes them together and takes the nuclear level to 11. It is like nothing you ever smelled before. Once the "b540" vibe fades, you will keep running into your sillage and wanting to smell yourself. There is little to no "burnt sugar" or "band aids" and "ethyl maltol". This is much more bright and sweet/fruity, it is more appealing. This is totally its own perfume in my eyes. I emptied a sample and ordered a bottle.

I really love this. While it does remind me of BR540 there is something a little different about it. BR540 is a little more feminine and it stands firmly in its feminine power. For your love feels like there is a little more to the story. BR540 is a woman who knows she's sexy, and is loudly demanding the attention of the room. For your love smells like she left the house wearing BR540 but then it wore off a bit on her way to cocktails where she then made out with a bearded stranger who just smoked a cigar. I am intrigued how this scent can make you feel both completely put together and like you're about to make some bad decisions. While you had every intention to feel sophisticated when you put this on, things got a little dirty.

This was love at first sniff. Absolutely gorgeous scent. Has very little similarities to MFK BR540, at least to me except they both have addictive, in a good way, qualities. This is fresher and lighter but with the same longevity. It reminds me of Rouge Trafalgar from Dior. RT/Dior is more complex and soft, office appropriate and would be a safe alternative to For Your Love. I find FYL projects quite a bit. I sensed the raspberry note immediately and it stays an incredibly long time. The patchouli is soft and gorgeous and grounds the fragrance. This has all the elements of a signature scent. I bought a 5ml sample prior to purchasing the full size. I would suggest that path as many feel polarized by this scent.

This is such a luscious warm hug in a bottle. I really enjoy spraying this on my coats and scarfs because the smell will last all day. I even left one of my scarfs in the closet after spraying this when I went out one day and I could still smell it a few days later ! This is a musky sweet Ambery dream. I don’t think this perfume is well known outside of the perfume lovers world which is great. I would wear this in the fall and winter. Deffo not a summer scent for me at least. I feel it’s more feminine than masculine. The projection on this is intense so I would be careful spraying this. 1-2 sprays and you are good to go.

I smelled this a few weeks ago in Selfridges and really liked it but moved on. It has been playing on my mind because it gave me the feeling of happy childhood memories, not sure why? I gave in this week and bought a full bottle. It arrived today and I am so glad to own it. Nothing like BR540, has much more of a fruity top and none of the Candy. The musk is powdered and there is a light scent of lipstick but the fruity kind, not the waxy iris type. It does lean to the feminine but as a man I am very happy to wear it. To sum up the scent profile, raspberry lip gloss with powdery musk and a hint of salty skin.

SWEET. AIRY. PROJECTS! In classic Mizensir style, this perfume is light and airy, it has a translucent quality to it. It's such a crowd pleaser too cos it projects! I've received a compliment Every. Single. Time! Sometimes multiple times a day! It has the Baccarat Rouge 540 DNA cos of the ambergris, but to me FYL is infinitely better than BCR540 (whose antiseptic smell I cannot stand!) It's also the perfect layering perfume bc it adds that sweet, airy touch to whatever you're wearing. I found it paired beautifully with Diptyque Do Son & Mizensir Solar Blossom. This is full-bottle worthy for me!

Lovely tart raspberry note that lingers the entire wear but isn't cloyingly sweet nor gourmand. The musk and patchouli prevent the raspberry note from dominating the entire fragrance and instead leaves you with something soft, sweet, and sensual. This is what I imagine a pretty lady would smell like after a brisk walk in the park on a cool spring day. Or a waft of the nape of a lover's neck during a close embrace. That being said, I'm a guy and I totally see myself snagging a full bottle just for me lol.

Wow beautiful! Yes, I have smelled Baccarat Rouge 540 and it’s clones. BR540 is repugnant to me - it gives me a queasy stomach. For Your Love has a brightness and airiness that lifts, elevates and transcends. My skin has been imbued with clean radiant sweet warmth. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. It’s like bright sunlight catching and reflecting off a complete delicate spiderweb. Or blowing on a dandelion and watching an explosion of puffy seeds sail away. Worth seeking out and giving it a test.

For Your Love is refined elegance! This is perfume for a WOMAN - it's rosy, a little lip-sticky (the really expensive kind) and exquisitely blended. It's wonderfully smooth, has nice depth and is noticeable without being remotely loud. I like this 1000 times better than Baccarat, but I feel this is more suited for a very wealthy, classy boss--lady. I love how this wears but it also makes me feel a bit like a kid wobbling around in her mom's high heels and not fooling anyone ;-)

Compliment magnet! I've never worn this without someone commenting. It's a fluffy, champagne raspberry scent. But still somehow commands attention. It lasts for hours and leaves a stunning scent trail, but not in an over the top obnoxious way. This scent is so versatile - I've worn it day to day, but also to special events and date nights. It's one of my most reached for fragrances. Mizensir outdid themselves with this one.

Sexy! First note to hit me is a sophisticated raspberry. I thought I wouldn’t like this fruity note but it’s delectable in a sexy and refined way. The dry down is unveiling its raw smouldering side with lots of ambergris. I love this note! Morillas has succeeded in what he wanted to achieve with this fragrance. It is so refined yet erotic. This is complex and I need longer to process this absolute beauty.

Fruity, animalic, and musky. This is such a beautiful fragrance. It is different from everything I own. The ambergris note is prominent from the first spray but it blends beautifully with the raspberry and musk. The longevity is very good 6-8 hours. This does not smell anything like baccarat if you want baccarat then buy baccarat. It is a feminine perfume even though it says unisex. Not blind buy safe.

I got a sample of it and wore it out. It lasted on my jacket for weeks and I it was addictive. I couldn't stop smelling the jacket and kept thinking about it. Finally bought it and I really love it. I don’t get a ton of raspberry or flowers but get a musky, sexy scent bubble that I just can’t describe. It last and lasts and I think it can be worn any time and you will get compliments.

Pleasant with a grown up sweet raspberry tart. There's a specific note here that I recognise in designer perfumes created by MFK (in particular, his red berry frangances. Kenzo World I'm talking about you). Drydown is beautiful, for a moment there I thought the similarities of Kenzo World would remain throughout this but instead it turned creamy and delicious.

This is beautiful and it’s saying something from someone who struggles with patchouli!! It’s blended beautifully and I have been sniffing my wrist all evening long!! This is so feminine, classy, refined and absolutely full bottle worthy (despite its expensive price tag). I hope to have it in my collection very soon!

I found a combo that smells almost exactly like this: Start with 1 part of Delina By PDM. Followed by one part of Coco Mademoiselle Finish with 2 parts of Burberry Her EDP It ia not a cheaper option, but you may already have these perfumes in your collection already and no need to splurge on another one ;)

Am in total love with this beautiful perfume . It’s become my top 3 in my whole collection. I can see some similarities to BR540 but in no way the same perfume ! This is a gorgeous clean musk with raspberries. The longevity is good and lasts on your clothes for days

This one is very beautiful perfume. Up my alley. To describe it better. It is a softer Baccarat 540 and a grown up Delina. It is gentle yet strong. Powerful yet submissive. Definitely for a woman who knows who she is and owns it. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous perfume.

Absolutely stunning! I understand why people compare it to BKR 540. It’s not so much that the sent is similar, but the performance. They both share the airy and elegant facet that most people adore including myself. I’m so glad to have this in my collection.

On my second bottle, and I'm pretty confident I'll keep repurchasing (hopefully it doesn't get reformulated). It is so feminine, very "flirty and sexy" is the perfect way to describe it. Performance is good and reacts sooooooo well on skin during the heat.

This perfume is a balance between raspberry, musk and patchouli. This scent is both youthful and mature. There is depth to this fragrance, the scent keeps me intrigued. I also like that it creates this scent bubble around me that I can smell all day.

Such a gem to get a hold on. Very female leaning. Opening is berry dominant with muskiness from musk and saltiness from ambergris. Patchouli just grounds everything down. I think I know what to gift my partner for her birthday.

Beautiful sweet raspberry musky fragrance. No it does not even come close to smelling like it’s in the BR540 household. I would probably wear this in the spring and early summer. It’s very flirty! Full bottle worthy.

An absolute masterpiece, smells like old money. Floral without being overpowering, and warm without being too sensual. It's mysterious and inviting, and is the reason why it is such an easy reach for a date night.

The only feminine part of this is the opening raspberry. I don't feel much diff from other "male" gourmand frags. Layers well with FYL on chest, and flower of immortality (killian) on wrists - fruity bomb...

This is what I wanted Akro Smile to be - raspberry with musk and and bit of depth In general I’m impressed by how Misensir does musk - deep and warm and enveloping and creating a nice musky bubble

Luxurious and rich raspberry scent! To me it’s very rosy as well. Reminds me of the opening to Phaedon’s Avignon Rouge, which is a raspberry-rose scent I love. Has nothing to do with BR540 IMO.

Lipsticky raspberry . Very nice surprise . Was a bit scared of ambergris . Fantastic patchouli , reminds me HdP 1969 Revolte . Very elegant . It is proper old money perfume . 9/10 .

This does indeed smell like turned down version of BR540. For your love is a more subdued and everyday wearable scent and BR540 is a "notice me" type of scent.

If Initio Musk Therapy was whipped up into an incredibly light and very airy raspberry perfume. Incredibly well-blended and such an amazing compliment getter!

Applied at 8:40 am. Around 5 o’clock pm. a young guy who passed by me said: “You smell so but so good”. Impressed with the performance. Miami Summer Season.

@Mercedes Luna are you sure you meant For Your Love? There is no rose in this, nor does it smell at all floral. It's an ambery tart raspberry musk.

I love this stuff. Little on the feminine side for me, but don’t care as it’s smells so nice and the sillage is perfect. Just wafts at me all day.

Absolutely brilliant fruity fragrance that does NOT smell at all like BR540. It does have a designer vibe, but it is well worth the money.

Out of my collection, this is the ONLY perfume I'm so tempted to repurchase (it already ran out after 2.5 years)!!!
