Golden Oud

In Golden Oud Morillas explores the spirituality of this highly prized and time-honoured raw material. Love it or hate it, nothing has managed to capture the attention of the western perfume world quite like oud as perfumers explore novel way to utilise this raw material. Synonymous with the Middle East where its use is ingrained within the culture, the scent profile of oud is unmistakably unique. Pungent, animalic, slightly sour with a touch of sweetness, in the hands of a skilled perfumer the addition of oud in a composition can elevate a perfume to something truly spellbinding. Morillas manages to do just that here as he weaves his magic in Golden Oud. Upon spraying Golden Oud, you are hit with the unmistakable olfactive signature of oud. However, here the oud’s pungency is softened by a diffusive cloud of ecclesiastical incense as the oud is enveloped with an austere coolness and pine-like freshness. As the fragrances evolves, the veil lifts and the oud at the heart of the composition pushes forward. Morillas’ masterful use of Firmenich's Oud AssafiTM forgoes the animalic, to balance the leathery and smoky facets of oud. The dryness here is reinforced by papyrus, while Bulgarian Rose adds a green dimension to the composition. As the fragrance continues to evolve on the skin, Cetalox (Ambroxan) rounds out the dry-down with a musky amber like quality balanced by the vanillic sweetness of amyris that I find utterly hypnotic. Golden Oud is a perfect example of how oud can be worked into a composition that is largely inoffensive yet retains all the exoticism and complexity I love about the raw material. While I don’t think this is a divisive or polarising use of oud, the quality is evident. Throughout the life of the fragrance the focus is kept firmly on the oud, with the other notes playing a supportive role that serve to highlight its varying qualities. In the end, my experience with Golden Oud is at once grounding, yet elevating and I would implore you to get your nose on this ASAP, whether you are an oud connoisseur or are still new to everything oud. Golden Oud is unisex leaning masculine, and is better suited to the cooler months of the year. As for occasions, I think this incredibly versatile. In terms of performance. I get around 12 hours on my skin with an initial heavy sillage dropping to moderate around the 4-hour mark.

Anyone who tries to tell you that this doesn’t smell EXACTLY like ombré leather is trolling. I have one on each arm right now: Golden Oud on the left & Ombré Leather on the right. Indistinguishable. On its own, this leans slightly more woody and maybe 5% more “refined” than ombré leather, but ombré leather parfum exists.... So??? Great fragrance, but it is way overpriced considering 50ml of OL is only around $100-$120 depending where you get it from.

easy to wear, mass appealing, high quality fosho. It's good for man who likes dark, mature, masculine rose-oud frags. Leans more to oud which is almost similar oud like LV ombre nomade one. Compared with LV one, this one is less smoky, has more of rose, and versatile. I highly recommend this one for the price, scents, quality all together

Beautifully crafted Oud/Rose scent. Perfect as a daily driver if you have the pluck. Felt very comfortable in my office with this emanating from it. No compliments, but I did notice the smiles. Great value at the price as a TF alternative. Give it a go if it's your style. Guarantee you'll love it!

It was the first OUD perfume I tried from Mizensir. I fell in love from the first sniff. I like when it dries on my skin, it leaves a very smoky aroma. (Everything changed when I tried Perfect OUD from Mizensir) 😅 that is my favourite OUD perfume from this brand.

After bling buying Perfect oud extrait to compare the two this one is by far much better and more refined that combo citrus amyris oud and leather is Genius my favorite from the house 👌🏾🔥

Alberto, most know for his fresh creations, has made a masterpiece here. It's the best oud rose combo ever. Dont overspray. the perfume is very dense and long lasting.

This will be and is, the best rose oud scent you will buy. Not exaggerating. Misensir Golden Oud is perfect.

One the best Oud fragrances I have ever smelled simple as that

I blind bought this for 35% off retail price. Waiting on receiving it in the mail. I hope it’s good. And hope I don’t regret getting this instead of Initio Oud For Greatnes (best I ever tested). Update: It opens up sweet, where the rose dominates. After 30 minutes the rose settles and makes room for the other scents to come out and play. But in my humble opinion it keeps on staying on the sweeter side. Wouldn’t call it a gourmand perfume, but sweet as feminine leaning. To be fair, definitely unisex. But nonetheless, very well blended.

A woody rose-oud scent. On me this is a little bit more oud than rose, but I still like this for the colder weather. On my cool skin that has a good longevity with moderate sillage. The oud here is clean and slightly leathery. Nothing barnyard or skanky. A perfect unisex.

One word: smooth. This is a beautiful smoky, oud, and rose combo. It's definitely mass appealing, for an oud fragrance. It is expertly blended. However, it missing personality. I do like it, but I don't need a full bottle of everything I like.

Opening and mid dry down smells of rose oud that's slightly smoky and leathery then on late dry down (+2h) gets boring and cloying leathery osmanthus combo that u smelled billion times. Opening and mid dry down 8.5/10 late dry down 7/10

@CRTY, I own a full bottle of both and I’m definitely not trolling when I say that this does not smell exactly like Ombre Leather. This is aptly considered an ‘Oud’ fragrance, and Ombré Leather is aptly considered a ‘Leather’ fragrance. Perhaps in the first few seconds there’s a leather facet in Golden Oud, but the complexity quickly emerges (and it’s far more complex than Ombré Leather) and your hit with a dance of smoky, ambery and medicinal oud, a rose that comes and goes, and overall a slightly sweet, slightly fresh, slightly warm, slightly cold composition

I get an amber note in the opening. Amber just doesn’t agree with my skin chemistry and ruins the opening by making it smell civet-ish . This smells like Perfect Oud but without the medicinal (maybe cypriol) note. A mild scent compared to other ouds. I will give this another try tomorrow and see if anything changes. First impression is 3/10

This reminded me of a lot of Alberto Morillas' other creations, especially a little of Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme. As much as that fragrance is a wow, it's not personally for me and this one is the same. If you enjoy GGA pour Homme, I think you'll enjoy this.

Mizensir Golden Oud عود بنغلاديشي أصيل مع ورد بلغاري و بخور و عنبر مع لمسات دخانية، من الماستر الإسباني ألبرتو مورياس، لكن هذه المرة بوجه سويسري غاية في الإتقان. العود المستعمل في هذا العطر Oud Assafi مقدم على أنه أجود زيت عود في العالم، و تم تصنيفه علامة تجارية من قبل شركة Firmenich عام 2018 نتيجة لشراكة مع حليفتها Jalali Agarwood و التي هي الأخرى تعكس موروث عائلي بنغلاديشي عريق في زراعة أشجار الأكويلاريا و استخلاص أنقى و أجود زيوت العود في العالم، هذا العود بالذات مستخلص من فصيلة الأكويلاريا malaccensis التي أصبحت مهددة في بالإنقراض على زعم بعض منضمات البيئة الدولية، و هو ما ينعكس في إستراتيجية Jalali Agarwood في المحافضة على هذا الموروث من خلال الإلتزام بغرس 20 شجرة فتية تتركها للأجيال القادمة مقابل كل شجرة مقطوعة للإستعمال, هذه الندرة هي على الأرجح السبب لي خلا مورياس يختار له تسمية Golden Oud. أما عن الرائحة فهي جد فاتنة في الإفتتاحية مع الورد البلغاري و البخور، بلسمية بعض الشيء، ثم يظهر جانب دخاني غامض و قوي في القلب يبقى معك لبعض الساعات، أحيانا يكون غير مستساغ، الأرجح أنه من نوتة الpapyrus جاتني شويا ثقيلة، ثم يبرد العطر على وجه عنبري جميل جدا. شخصيا، الإفتتاحية و الدرايداون هما ما لفتا انتباهي في هذا العطر، يسببان الإدمان، خاصة الدرايداون. بعد تجربة كلية و لعدة مرات لهذا العود، تقريبا عامين منذ اقتنائي له، ظهر لي أنه لا يناسب الرش على الرقبة، الدخانية التي تنبعث منه في القلب الصراحة تصيبني في كل مرة بالقليل من الصداع، لكن ما العمل؟! فالرائحة جميلة جدا، و الذي يأسرني فيه الإفتتاحية؛ فاتنة، الحل في الرش حول منطقة البطن و حول منطقة المعصم داخل الأكمام، و إذا كانت الأكمام عريضة و مفتوحة سكون النتيجة مثالية، مع الحركة يعطيك متعة شمية و أداء عالي. العطر هذا صراحة يحمل الكثير من الخصوصيات، على غرار ندرته و نقاءه المسجلين، لفت انتباهي حكاية مصممه مع العود، أقول حكاية لأنه معروف بأيقوناته المنعشة و ليس بالمشرقيات الثقيلة لكن رغم ذلك كان أول من قدم العود للمتعطر الأوروبي لما تحالف مع Jacques cavalier عام 2002 و صمموا الM7، و كلقاء أول مع قوة العود و كثافته و ثرائه و اعتياد الأنف الأوروبي للطابع المنعش مزجوه مع المندرين و إكليل الجبل؛ البعض يقول أنه لم يكن ناجحا تجاريا في الأول. بعد أعوام من إصدار هذه الأيقونة، بدا لي و كأن الإثنين Jacques و Alberto كلاهما لم يكونا راضيين عن ما قدماه، طبعا فالعود ليس سهل الترويض، فالأول مشى لخيار الluxury و ثقل العلامة التجارية و عند Louis Vuitton قدم ombré nomade عام 2018، أما الثاني فأخذ منحى آخر و رده كان بعمل حرفي يدوي نيشي و ارتأى أنه يعيد الكرة مع العود تحت إسمه الخاص و علامته الخاصة Mizensir Genève و قدم هذا العطر Golden Oud عام 2020، العديد من المجربين يقولو أن العطرين متقاربين في الرائحة مع ميلان كفة الثقل لصالح ombré nomade. في الأخير و كمعلومة ثانوية Mizensir هي من الفرنسية mise en cire؛ و هي عملية سكب العطر في قالب شمعي لإنتاج الشموع العطرية التي كانت السبب في إنشاء هذه الدار عام 1999.

...no, hééj!, to je skvostně lahodná růže na úvod (naskočily mi v hlavě poctivé vůně s růžemi třeba od značek Guerlain, Eau d ́Italie) - prostě nádhera na první dobrou. Zpočátku je tato růže chuti plná, jemně naovocnělá, tlumeně šťavnatá, v pár vteřinách ale zaujme dvě polohy současně - jásavou - ze sytého květinového nektaru, tlumenou - z barvy růží, tmavě nachových odstínů s až fialovými podtóny, tma. Po další chvíli, téměř nenápadně, se objeví šifonový šál utkaný z navláčněle prachových mydlin, teplavých, jenž obejme srdce z růží do své hutně hebce uklidňující náruče... Golden Oud ve mně vyvolává neustálý dojem světla/záře a tmy... ...to v žilkování okvětních plátků růží neproudí životadárná míza, ale luxusní, delikátně hebký, velmi elegantní, sofistikovaně distingovaný oud, lesklý, černý a třpytivý. Ultratenká nanovlákna ze vzácného oleje vytvářejí v kombinaci s královnami květin tiše naléhavý, omamující elixir. Všechny ingredience jsou vycizelované do maximální, hedvábně hladivé harmonie jemnosti při zachování plnosti vůně. A také - pokud se zaměříte na každou jednotlivou složku, uvědomíte si, že je tam, mistrně zakomponována do parádně vyladěného celku. "...Wattsone, jak prosté!." - aneb, když se použije kvalita, dá se tomu vše, co je třeba, pak je to požitek... Harmonizující vůně s vymazlenou dávkou dekadence. ***************** ..."tak už jsem doma", už vím, odkud tu vůni znám - Gucci Guilty Absolu. No a co.? Ano, stejný parfumér... Golden Oud působí jako hladší, měkčí, lahodnější, klouzavější, mazlivější, prostě je vymazlený. Gucci Guilty Absolu sice působí relativně hruběji, ale drží nesrovnatelně lépe.
