Original Oud

This is a beautifully crafted composition—smooth, well-blended, and far from the harsh oud some might expect. It leans slightly smoky, but never in an unpleasant way. There’s a subtle animalic undertone, yet it feels refined and softened by what seems like a touch of rose (even though it’s not officially listed in the notes). It gives me a faint reminder of Min New York – Moon Dust. Honestly, I’m really into this one—it’s exactly my kind of fragrance 👌🏻. Bold, gently smoky, a touch animalic, yet rounded with woody warmth and aromatic depth. A gentleman must have.

I just don’t understand such a low rating on Fragrantica. On me, this is an awesome Western oud-ish scent, very masculine, well-balanced with cardamom, leather and woods (I don’t get any florals on my skin) Definitely my number 1 among Mizensir’s oud fragrances.

No idea why this is rated soo low. I found Mizensur’s original Oud to be a great fragrance, and I think this has been discontinued? Correct me if I’m wrong. I really like this fresh start of Mizensur’s original Oud, it makes the Oud more wearable. This takes a different turn to what the normal take is on Oud scents, rather than that animatic start you get this cardamom heavy start. With the dry down you get the powerful Oud note, with a bit of woodyness to it. In my opinion this is a very wearable Oud scent, it isn’t too harsh. This fragrance is great to wear for formal occasions. But due to its fresher start and more wearability I think it can also be used in more casual settings. This Oud scent I find is more unisex, as it’s less harsh than typical Oud scents. Although it may lean a bit more masculine I think it still can be worn by women. Original Oud is a fragrance to wear during the winter and fall seasons. It lasts around 9 hours give or take. It’s quiet long lasting and projects quiet strongly. For its value I do think there are significantly better oud scents although the fresh start does make it slightly more unique. If you want a more typical Oud scent I would recommend Guerlain’s Santal Royal instead, which is at a slightly lower price point and a more unisex scent. Got this as part of a 'smug bundle' on eBay along with William Hunt Vetiver for pennies. This to me is a really soothing fragrance. I don't get any Geranium, for me the cardamom and leather support the woods and resin. Almost has a petrol note, bandaid and something else that smells familiar, not quite sulfur but along those lines. For me this leans masculine and I wouldn't find this attractive on a woman. I would wear this all year round but then I pretty much wear what I want whenever I want to anyway. Damn, I wish I could convey to you that elusive note that is making me bury my nose into my arm. Its a little peppery like chrysanthemum with a hint of freshly spent matches inside an old cardboard matchbox. Whatever it is it's grabbing my attention. Overall a very pleasing fragrance and I will layer with organic oud to enhance the synthetic elements. Don't you just love the way fragrances evoke memories! This is sitting in my grandads shed with a freshly cut bunch of chrysanthemums on the worktop with a paraffin stove taking the chill out of the air. Fantastic stuff!

I don’t understand how this can be called unisex. This smells super manly to me. Woody, oud, leather, animalic... Wouldn’t like this on a woman at all. But on myself, heck yeah! Great fall fragrance, perfect for cloudy, rainy days. Makes me appreciate and enjoy the bad weather. It’s not winter here in Norway quite yet. But as an everyday fall fragrance 10/10. Edit: Sprayed it again today but couldn’t smell much. Yesterday I smelt it several hours. My mom complimented me to. Today, nothing. I even made her smell my neck and she couldn’t smell anything either. Maybe we’re going nose blind or something was off with my natural skin oil. Don’t know what happened. Golden Oud is the best in Mizensir oud line in my opinion. 🌹🥰🌹🥰🌹🥰

Hard to dislike but I found it quite uninspiring. The thought of an oud like this was very appealing and the geranium and cardamom give it a very clear and clean focus with a potent base of oud. Without doubt this is high quality and lasts very well, drying down to a very nice hum but nothing jumps out at all.

Very aromatic and clean oud! There is no animalic smells here. The oud is definitely the most prominent note, but the airy geranium is also a star! It is airomatic, floral, and soapy. It is a refined scent for sure, for someone who aims to be classy and charismatic!

Seriously, where has this been all my life? I've been on the hunt for the perfect Oud: sensual and intoxicating but tame and bearable. This. Is. IT. Original Oud is extremely smooth and refined, ever so sensual and feminine. I can smell something rosy despite rose not being in the notes and the iris comes through so nicely in conjunction with the sandalwood. I'm afraid to say it but this could possibly displace my current #1 Oud fragrance, Oud Ispahan. The staying power and projection is second to none, it easily lasts all day. 10/10.

I usually struggle with dry and bitter fragrances, this one is definitely in that category (especially the first 2-3 hours) but I give it a pass. The iris peeks its head once in a while and is a fun twist. First wear I thought ”this is a rough one” but I came to like it. Very mature and manly

It's okay. I like it but it's just boring to me. It's better to just use pure Laotian oud oil and layer with your perfume of choice.
