Poudre d'Or

Alas, why'd it have to be so expensive? Purchased a 5ml decant and am loving it. I actually don't get much musk or iris/powder, I'm getting a very rich, rounded, creamy tiare, that's sweet without being sickly, and merry without being sickening. It's a very solar, rounded white floral. I found this perfume after watching Jus de Rose's musky scents video - and while I love musk to death, this doesn't give me any musk. It's a beautiful balmy floral, but thankfully, I still do love it. Projection is insane - it's very strong, but has average longevity - about 4-5 hours on my skin. Its "solar" nature lends itself to a "summer-y" character, but because it's so rich and a little sweet, it could easily be worn all year round. Love it, and I may purchase a full bottle soon if I can persuade myself to fork out several hundreds for a bottle. - Edit: brought this out for a winter rotation, and I think I may have oversprayed. Five sprays in an enclosed car - instant migraine and nausea. Kind of glad I didn't buy it in the end - the association between it and nausea still persists.

Oh. My. Goodness. Poudre d’Or!!! Gold Dust (literally translated)...✨✨✨✨✨✨ Another successful blind buy and trust me, I was nervous about that one but oh my gosh, this is wonderful! Truly beautiful. It’s a warm floral fragrance that has a slight tropical and a slight sweetness aspect (emphasis on slight). But it is blended in a very nice way as the notes dance together rather than clash against each other. Powdery, floral, subtle tropics/sweetness, some woods peaking through...sigh, absolute goodness!! This is very classy, grown up and I’d say almost distinguished in a way. I’d imagine a queen or a head of state wearing this, I kid you not!! It leans quite feminine on my skin, I absolutely love this!! The projection/sillage are quite strong at first but it settles to a scent bubble quite nicely. Be prepared for compliments ✨✨✨ Thrilled to have this in my collection, I will be cherishing this!!

Oh this is so beautiful, creamy and soft and feminine. It’s like a almondy coconuty vanilla powdery iris cloud in the most luxurious way. So well blended. Very addicting. It’s not the sunscreen cloying Tiare. I do not like Tiare note for that sunscreen like smell to it, but in here I cant smell Tiare. If you don’t like Tiare in Fragrance, please still give this one a try because I’m with you on not liking Tiare. It does remind me of Micallefs Ylang in Gold and Roja pour Femme 51 but yet it’s different, it’s more soft. I have to say I like this one the most. It’s absolute perfection. It’s gorgeous, favorite from the house so far. Such a gorgeous hidden gem. I wore it the other day and longevity was about 4-6 hours may be will be longer in colder days, but i could smell my own sillage when i turned my head. Just so good.

I just have to come back to this to give it a proper review... I think this perfume is a masterpiece. If I had to choose one thing to smell like forever I think it would have to be this. It’s so delicate, almost creamy, it has the perfect amount of sweetness. It’s not a dry screechy type of powdery, it’s just perfect. Everything is blended so well. Something about the drydown smell of this reminds me of a smell from years ago. Im in Southern California and I would often go to Disneyland; and this perfume smells like the area entering the park/the general close area. I’m not sure what the combination of flowers + the smell Disney pumps around is, but it was so similar to this. I haven’t noticed that smell at the Disney park lately sadly, but smelling this reminded me of it and I adore it.

This is so effortless and chic. If my mother was still alive this is what she would wear. I am having one of the hardest weeks of my life and had to meet a client today. I spritzed this on and immediately thought of her. Like she was wrapping her arms around me. A whiff of clean laundry, baked goods off in the distance left out from the morning. Clean hair. A linen dress. This woman drives an expensive SUV and wears a Rolex everyday. She is the kindest human you will ever meet and nothing bad ever happens when she's around. UPDATE : I get compliments EVERY TIME I wear this! It is so balmy, tropical, warm and comforting. I can't imagine not having this in my collection IT IS SO GROWN UP AND PERFECT! The longer I have it the more I LOVE IT!

Omg. Tropical musk heaven!! I absolutely love this, it's a creamy, fluffy, tropical musk, like a creamy realistic coconut milk fresh from the fruit, which doesn't smell so much of coconut but more so of a green fresh milky silky juice. This is definitely going into my best of musks row, and maybe even into the tropicals, because this is a divine tropical scent too. Jasmine super subtle which is a good thing in this scent. There is something familiar in this scent too, I have found why - it's a bit like Casmir by Chopard, but of course a lot more niche and high in quality. Casmir might be a good cheaper more sweet alternative.

Swoon 🥰... my favorite from the house so far. Just completely stunning. Beautiful, creamy iris and white florals, supported by smooth pale woods. Very little vanilla on me, and I appreciate that. Its perfect for almost any occasion and season. Difficult to deacribe despite a small note breakdown. It does indeed give high end suntan lotion. There's no coconut here to speak of though. It is achingly soft, feminine, delicate. A classic picture of femininity. Very textural in that its soft, but not smooth. Highly recommend if this is your style. Terrible longevity but well worth the reapplications.

Alberto has done it again! I have respect for so much of his work but there are some that speak to me of perfection. This scent has ethereal, divine qualities. The orange blossom is so delicate and tiptoes over a vanilla meringue. The tiare is also wispy-delicate and is hand in hand with the orange blossom. This delicious cloud is such a pleasure to wear. I feel happy and delighted every time It weaves into my senses. For anyone who loves Alberto and is familiar with his elegant and masterful touch, this blind buy is safe as houses. It edges out Solar Blossom as my favourite.

The opening of Poudre d'Or really smells like Ylang in Gold. Compared to Ylang in Gold, this is more powdery, floral, cleaner, well-blended, all-seasons. While Ylang in Gold is better in summer, also it's more fruity & tropical. After the drydown, I don't think they are very similar, but still in the same vain. Now the scent is even more floral and sweeter than the opening. (vanilla and sandalwood are joining now.) Love the name too!! Gold Dust! <3 Sillage is moderate, the scent bubbles are around you. Sooo lovely. Really wanna try more from this house.

This fragrance is absolutely beautiful. Powdery, dreamy, intoxicating white florals. Very feminine. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do but it has become as close to a signature scent as I could fathom. It's got pretty great lasting power which says a lot because almost everything turns into a skin scent within an hour on me and I can still smell this after several hours. I've gone through more than I care to admit in the roughly two months that I've had it. I try not to keep backup bottles these days but this is definitely bub worthy <3

Caved in, and got this. I've nothing but eulogies for it. It's just basically supremely excellent. Soft, creamy, luscious, scrumptious, heady ... and funky in the most sublimated & delicate way you could possibly reasonably ask for. Even my very harshest fragrance critic (not the one who told me never to go near her wearing POAL ever again - that's only my second harshest) ... no my very harshest critic, faltered at this one!

Oh my.... Elegant and comforting! It is very long lasting, too. I do not think it is powdery, it smells sirupy/sweet to me! I adore Alberto Morillas’ creations :) The packaging was also great! I look forward to trying more from Mizensir 🥰 Someone on YouTube mentioned that everything from Mizensir has one thing in common: elegance. I can second that!

I wouldn't consider this fragrance powdery as much as I would fluffy and creamy. The florals are so well blended and mesh very softly into the skin, not heady at all. The Sandalwood and vanilla rounds Poudre d'Or into a comforting, and sophisticated scent. This is my calming fragrance.

This is such a warm, creamy, “solar” perfume. It smells exactly like when you are on a tropical holiday and you take a shower and put some body cream, all using the fancy products you found in the hotel bathroom, mixed with the sunscreen you had on during the beach day.

Goes on like suntan lotion, white exotic flower and a warm creamy base. Dries down like a beautiful luxurious cosmetic cream. Warm, elegant, discreet. A good office scent. Bound to get compliments. Lasting power at least 8h. Safe blind buy I should say.

It’s a lovely musky skin scent. It has a vanilla note, which is a bit different than the other skin scents I own, but still not sure if I need a full bottle. Maybe if I can get a great deal...

As someone who owns and loves Roja 51 Parfum, I must say this is surprisingly similar! But with a subtle tropical kick to it from the Tiare flower! It's got that same soft powdery feel to it that 51 does, which is definitely not baby powder, but more of a soft makeup'ee powderyness, probably from the Iris. There is something airy about this one as well, it's like fluffy clouds of Tiare and Iris flowers made creamy with the vanilla and sandalwood, and with the musk added in, it helps it become more skin-like. I do not like sandalwood all that much, so I think with the musk added in, it helps to round it out and not make it sandalwood dominant. I think the sandalwood is added in there to add a slight woodiness but still maintain the creaminess. It definitely doesn't last nearly as long as 51 Parfum, but it's still got moderate longevity. I really love how this starts out more than the drydown. The drydown just isn't as unique as I'd like it to be. If the Tiare flower stayed throughout the whole fragrance, that would be amazing! Still think it's a beautiful fragrance though! EDIT: After wearing this for a few days now, I finally realized what this one reminds me of more than Roja 51! It's Lancome Hypnose!

I've had this on my wishlist for a long time after sampling and loving. By the time I procured a full bottle after stumbling upon a great deal I find the performance greatly diluted from the version I remember sampling. This is a shame but Poudre d'Or gives true meaning to the term 'skin scent.' It is reminiscent of a milky lotion, balmy in texture with feint sweetness from vanilla and tropical florals alike. Feminine and lovely but sadly with very soft projection and minimal lasting power. A great doctor or dentist visit scent for when you want something unobtrusive, especially during the warmer months of Spring or Summer.

A very creamy and soft tiare. I think it smells more like luxury body lotion than powder. It feels so clean. Heavenly, pure and ethereal. Suitable for summer. It's close to the skin. Like a ghost... Someone has to hug you to smell this scent. It has a sweet note somewhere in the middle, thankfully it evaporates quickly. The drydown is excellent!

Tropical baby powder 🌴🧴 I do get “nail polish” in the first minute or two, but once it settles it’s beautiful. In the realm of Narciso Rodriguez, but more powdery and sweet. Good strength and lasting power. Love it ❤️

This is so soft and gentle. Not what I expected. It’s growing on me and is becoming slightly more present with time. I’m getting soft creamy exotic powdery. It’s just so gentle.

A Lovely creamy floral scent, very chic and feminine, with an elegant summer vibe. It is so hard to choose a winner from the Mizensir collection, I would like to have it all.

Lovely but zero projection and disappears quickly. If this were a stronger scent with longevity, it would be lovely. Not worth the price tag in my opinion.

This is a strange one to me. When I first spray it on I don't like it at all. It seems very dry and cool, and there is a note that I find distinctly unpleasant, though I can't say what it is. But after a few minutes the sweetness of the vanilla starts to come through, and I like it much better. After about half an hour or so it is lovely - slightly sweet, soft and gently powdery. Not overpowering, but definitely present, and then I can't stop sniffing my wrist. I can definitely appreciate the quality of this fragrance, and enjoy the dry down phase, but I wouldn't consider buying a full bottle because of the unpleasant opening (to me) and the expensive price.

A cozy powdery skin scent, didn't find it very interesting.

Smells like fancy soap. I am getting more white floral/jasmine than i would like, but overall it is a soft, white floral, sweet, soapy scent. Nothing too amazing tbh. I dont even get much iris. The white florals just overpowers, almost getting traditional middle eastern, indian perfume vibes.

To me this smells like expired make up or cheap lipstick. Maybe it’s the iris that just doesn’t agree with me. A pass for me

Paradisone has to be used intelligently, which Sr. Morillas’ experience in using it allows for him to achieve. It has explosive power to which Sr. Morillas adds a luminescence via tiare. It brings a constellation of light to the hard charging ingredient. As the Exaltone steps forward it provides an animalic musk which is designed to be easy. Sr. Morillas makes it more so by adding in some iris, the powder in the name, to provide a connective effect to the Paradisone. Mizensir gives this phenomenal perfume the following ingredients: The top notes: Tiare flower, Paradisone® The heart notes: Exaltone®, iris The base notes: Sandal wood essence, Madagascar vanilla with in the 'description' (narrative) of the perfume the precision of the Iris as 'Concrète'. so a slightly more enriched perfume as above in the 'pyramid' (dear Fragrantica) is suggested. and yesterday it came upon me (as a ton of bricks) no, not exactly but it did in its perfumial manner kept present and when I awoke, having been in the clôche of the perfume for the entire evening, I awoke at 4pm to still smell a considerable stratosphere of buttery, lactonic white flower bliss. what Paradisone gives in jasminoid opening as also remainder, Iris Concrète delivers in as alluring as longflying chicness. the Tiaré flowers gives off the same humid, tropicalismú balm as they often do in other perfumes (Guerlains extrait de Mahora, Annick Goutals Songes, Dusitas La Douceur de Siam). I was so happy that, after my furious connection with Morillas' 'Rose Exaltante' now I can truly verify and testify that he is a veritable Maitre Parfumeur (and perhaps Gantier) and the Poudre d'Or really bestows upon us a golden snow of the refinedness of Iris and with this, with such technological musks, nevertheless create a hyperromantic and mystic perfume of the evening. this is art that levitates the pleasure in life. I gladly pay the €190 for the 100ml. eau de parfum to have it now as an ephemeral as also comfortingly solidifying companion.

So I thought I loved Tres Chere, but have fallen in love with this one and probably prefer it. It lasts much longer and develops so so beautifully on the skin. More feminine than Musc Eternal if you like that one, but just as comforting and addictive. It goes sweet on me in the dry down, and I do see some Shalimar similarities, but this is not as smoky. Stunning and I'm pretty sure I will crack and buy this. Hard not to love once you try it on. It never gets too talcum powder/sweet/cheap smelling. I could wear this everyday I find it that addictive, even though it has been reviewed as an evening scent! The whole line is elegant and is fast becoming my favourite house. EDIT: When the vanilla kicks in I melt. Bought a bottle, and the dry down made me do it. This is SUCH a hidden gem.

This is one of my favourite perfumes, I own quite a few mizensirs as I love the house. It’s one that grew on me as when I first smelled it I could barely smell anything. I find that with a lot of Mizensir perfumes I love them on second sniff. Then after 20 minutes or so I could smell the smooth waxy white tropical florals. Like its name it smells exactly like a gold dust. I do think the longevity and projection on skin could be better but I can appreciate it keeps it soft and fluffy. On clothes its lasts a long time so I do overspray and can smell it most of the day. I love it so much I don’t mind reapplying on my skin. I will always have it in my collection

A gentle, woodsy-powdery skinscent with light peachy, coconutty, leathery, and aldehydic touches, and it reminds me with Alaia Nude, despite this Mezinsir has a different floral composition, and adds a nuance of a masculine-leaning solar-note that is obviously herbal, making it unisex. Personally, I prefer the feminine, ingenious, very sensual, and impactful Alaia over this. This Mezinsir is probably an overpriced option for such a final development, and for it's washed-out sillage. Definitely, not the perfect poudre to explore or aim at.

I've smelled something similar to this is the past. Can't remember which perfume. I've had iris scents in my collection... I want to say it reminds me of fleur de peau Edit: a creamier take on narciso rodriguez for her If you have those in your collection you might not need it. If youve finished it and want to explore a better version then this runs in a similar vein especially in the opening.

I’ve owned 6 Mizensir fragrances and this one and tres Cher are the only ones I’ve kept. This is a clean, creamy floral with a slight tropical twist. That being said I def think this could be a signature scent and worn all year long. It’s a very easy reach/wear, I can’t imagine anyone would be offended by this. It’s got an almost angelic quality about it. 10/10

How i let myself be misled by the good review and bought a FB ánd a 5 ml decant (luckily!) at once. I expected (powdery) iris and musk and unless someone deliberately send me a wrong decant, this is totally not what i got, nor on skin nor on botter. This frangrance smells like your old vase of flowers going bad..... * Running to the mail to return the FB *.

Reminds me of chewy milk candy (such as Milko lollies or White Rabbit Creamy Candy). Soft, light and powdery. Doesn't transform much but good longevity. More feminine, but not too floral. Creamy and sweet in a simple way, like a softly-scented face cream or powder.

A powder of creamy almondy sweet (but not too sweet) vanilla. I don't get much flowers, and musk is there lingering in the background. It is a little too creamy and sweet for my liking but still delightful to smell. I find it rather feminine.

Poudre d’Or is a beautiful perfume elegant, soft and sophisticated. Unfortunately, on my skin it barely lasts an hour and on clothes, I hardly get any sillage. I really wanted to love it but the longevity is disappointing, so it’s a no for me

A lovely,creamy , powdery dreamy scent.A big plus for me is that it is not too sweet as many powdery scents are.A high quality scent as all the scents from this line that I have had the pleasure to try are.Good longevity and sillage.

Whilst the pyramid does not indicate this, it smells similar to Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi By Kilian. Redundant to own both. Apparently its the perfumer signature.

Skip Dama Bianca and get this. This is beautiful, slightly tropical, comforting, clean and elegant. Appropriate for almost any occasion. 💙
