Solar Blossom

I love the smell of Solar Blossom by Mizensir, but the longevity was a bit wanting for me. It only lasted 4 and a half hours on my skin and then dissappeared without a trace. It had a nice moderate sillage while it lasted though, apart from the last hour, when it turned into a skin scent. The scent profile itself was indeed a lovely vanillic orange blossom fragrance, with a lovely jasmine note in the top notes and heart notes that didn't overpower the orange blossom note but was certainly noticeable. I loved this fragrance as I said before, but because it is on the slightly higher end price-wise and because of its longevity I decided to pass on it. I have so many fragrances and I only buy what I find truly special these days. Solar Blossom is the perfect scent to wear during the day in both spring and summer and it has a very casual feel to it, like a pair of white linen pants and a white shirt on the beach. I find it very feminine and pretty smelling and I can imagine it being a very good spray and go fragrance that wouldn't offend anyone, thus making it great for work. Altogether, I'd give Solar Blossom by Mizensir a 7.5/10. It's almost full-bottle worthy, but I just needed another 30 minutes to an hour of wear time on me to make it worth buying for me.

I can’t express how much I absolutely adore this scent! This is a stunning, high quality orange blossom, neroli scent. It radiates beauty and warmth. It’s very comforting, uplifting, relaxing and makes me feel happy. This really is sunshine in a bottle! I would wear this all year round, to bed, day and night. I just want to be drowned in this fragrance! I can’t wait to wear this on a hot summers day. This was an instant love for me! It’s just beautiful! Worth every penny! As for Sintra, I also have a full bottle of that and love them both. Yes they have similarities, but they're different enough to justify having both. Sintra has a sharp opening due to the Petitgrain, which I’m not overly keen on, but it mellows down after around 5-10 minutes into a beautiful, powdery, marshmallow type version of Solar Blossom. If I had to pick one, Solar Blossom is still my no.1 favourite, but they are both “loves” and in my top 10.

I own LDBS but was very underwhelmed from the start, I did not get any orange blossom from it, which is one of my favourite scents of all time. Meanwhile I have found a few fragrances that hit the spot, Solar Blossom being one of them. It is warm, sundrenched and honeyed. The name fits the fragrance really well I think, overripe mandarines, orange blossom and a touch of honey is what I get and I adore it. Longevity and sillage are both moderate. If you are looking for similar fragrances, there is Zara‘s Amalfi Sunray (juicier /cologne-like in the opening) as a budget option, Commodity‘s Nectar (photorealistic orange blossom) midrange, and Miller Harris‘ Lumière Dorée (more citrusy in the opening) and Van Cleef & Arpels Néroli Amara on the pricey end.

This is the orange blossom I have been dreaming about. The story is so on point- I really get a vanilla ice cream vibe. And the orange blossom and jasmine smells just like the air on a hot summer evening. Slight grape hubba-bubba vibe- but I smell this from the surrounding gardens when I leave my house in summer, and have been searching for it. I blind bought this and was worried because I did not get along with similar frags like Memo-Granada. I'm not sure if its indolic but it never turns faecalent on me, unlike Grenada. Works best wearing outside. Makes me feel like going to an outdoor party in summer, feeling an evening breeze on my skin, and the excitement of possibilities as the sun starts to go down.

Simply the best Orange Blossom scent. Pure, unadulterated, vibrant yet soft. Visions of Spring come to mind, I am transported straight to the Mediterranean in springtime. Oh my goodness, this is beautiful!! Granted, I am a sucker for white florals, especially Orange Blossom... I am reminded of Sintra by Memo, of course, but Sintra is sweeter and has a big dose of petit grain. Solar Blossom has less sugar and it doesn’t have petit grain (that I know of). This is refined and very classy with a touch of sweetness. Pure bliss!! This is unbelievably wonderful, definitely check it out, sample it and be wowed. As for me, I got a full bottle and I’ll need to have a backup bottle of this one soon!!

It's proper sunny summertime here where I have been testing this scent for a few weeks now. I love it, proper happy summer scent (perfect for spring as well). I love the orange blossom - neroli balance in it. It doesn't go much deeper, I am not really smelling the vanla either. I wouldn't mind this airy simple whiteflower scent for summers, BUT it doesn't last long on me. Maybe it's because my tester is not a spray-top, so I just damp it on my skin generously. I can smell it in the first hour on myself and then slowly fades off. Max 2-3 hours. I would like to try how is it if I am spraying, I hope it projects better and lasts longer. Otherwise no way I am paying that price for it.

Solar Blossom is gorgeous! It’s a much lighter and fresher LDBS. I like LDBS but it’s a little too sweet and if I was in my 20’s I’d be wearing LDBS often. Solar Blossom is a more appropriate option for me being in my 40’s. Solar Blossom is fluffy, slightly sweet, marshmallow and the orange blossom is kind fresh but absolutely perfect for me and mostly what I get on the dry down. It has decent projection and lasts about 6hrs on my skin but I’m an over-sprayer and spray my clothes so it’s noticeable longer to me. It’s intriguing and a definite compliment getter if people are near you. I went through a couple of good size decants until I finally got a full bottle and I’m in love.

This is addictive. When I wear something else, I wish I was wearing Solar Blossom. After an hour is when it catches my breath, the most delicious confection - it is distracting and makes me stop and wonder ‘what is that?’ Whenever someone asks the question, what can I get my mum, my sister, my wife, I do not hesitate to recommend this perfume, it can not displease. It is feminine and creates an aura of beauty. I have a perfume, la mia perle, which is a light musk and also has ‘solar notes’ and it layers beautifully with solar blossom for a slight change, if one desires it. Edited to add: if you enjoy Love don’t be shy by Kilian, you should check this one out.

Beautiful refined orange blossom, neroli and sweetness from vanilla. I own Love Don’t Be Shy, Sintra and now this. Reminds me more of Sintra minus that harsh opening Sintra has that I need to get past to start enjoying the scent. It does not have the candy like sweetness like Love, it is more realistic on white florals. Do you need to own all three? Definitely not. They are all so similar with Sintra being the most similar to this one. But if you wanted a smoother, no harsh opening, and not as sweet like candy I would say this is the one to pick. I really have been loving Mizensir lately and appreciate how well blended and smooth all the fragrances are.

Beautiful Orange Blossom White Floral sweet scent. I do see a big similarity with Love by Kilian however Solar Blossom is a bit less sweet and a more Floral. The orange blossom is more dominant with other white florals, I think it has slight bitterness may be from Neroli or Jasmine. To me it also smells similar to Atlas Garden by YSL. Its not unique, there is definitely a lot of similar perfumes out there but it is nice and crowd pleasing. Safe blind buy for someone who loves sweet vanilla orange blossom fragrances, you will love this one too.

I ordered a decant of this one because I am a fan of almost all neroli and orange blossom fragrances. How much better could this be to Reckless, Sintra, Perdizione, etc.? One sniff and I broke my rule about using up decants before purchasing a full bottle. It arrives today and I'm wearing my decant at the moment. This is so lovely! Beautiful crystal clear floral with just the perfect touch of sweetness that you could wear this all year round. I feel elegant when I put this one.

This is a beautiful take on orange blossom. I agree with other reviews that it's similar to Sintra, in the same Andalusian orange blossom way -- though Sintra pulls a lot sweeter because of the marshmallow and a bit peppery green in the opening with the petitgrain. It is in no way similar to LDBS, (and that's a good thing). This scent takes me back to walking through the streets of Cordoba -- absolutely gorgeous!

I have a sample of this I was given and thought I’d give it a try today. Whet a gorgeous fragrance - the orange blossom really shines here and I am a sucker for this particular note. The fragrance projects more than I thought it would and that’s a good thing. The name suits this fragrance perfectly it’s a blast of summer done right. Really like this one it’s a bit of a gem in my stash.

An absolutely gorgeous orange blossom and neroli pairing. Makes me want to hop on an eggshell blue bicycle to buy fresh flowers at an open-air market. If the most perfect linen sundress you’ve ever worn was a fragrance, it would be Solar Blossom. I think people went out of their way to hug me when I wore my sample. Good projection and great longevity.

Based on a sample. Well I thought this was just lovely, an airy, fairly smooth, jasmine. Reminded me of Jo Malone's Jasmine Sambac and Marigold (which I also like) except this is more uplifting and 'happy'. A love from me. 4/5 PS I tend to avoid pigeon-holing but this leans distinctly feminine. Some fragrances just do!

Airy and sweet orange blossom, a piece of fragrant confectionery. Excellent projection and longevity, I’ve been floating in it most of the morning as it wafts in and out. It does remain stable but because it’s so delicious, one can forego the need for it to develop in a different direction. I would recommend it.

Solar Blossom is absolutely divine! It's like sunshine bottled up - so bright and cheerful. The orange blossom and neroli are so fresh and sparkling, and the jasmine adds a beautiful floral sweetness. The vanilla base rounds it all out perfectly. This is my new go-to scent for spring and summer!

This is my all time favorite perfume for spring and summer. I can’t wait for it! It transports me to such a happy place with sunshine and flowers and green grass for miles. The orange flower is so pure. And it lasts on me for a very long time, especially if I layer it with an oil underneath.

Absolutely can't get enough of this fragrance! I want to douse myself in it every day. Feminine, creamy and bright/summery but zero hint of a sunscreen note... Truly magical. The perfect scent for when you shower and put on a dress to go out to a nice dinner after a day on the beach.

If the words "you took my breath away" was a perfume, it would be this perfume. Absolutely stunning. Simple composition but it pops off the skin and radiates like no other. I can smell almost every note, the Jasmine and Hedione combo is brilliant, too!

I'm sampling this in January in Florida, and immediately can't wait to wear it in the hotter months. The Neroli is perfectly blended, and although overall I find this to be slightly linear, it lasts on my skin and is definitely full bottle worthy.

A perfect sweet orange blossom/neroli scent <3 gourmand-y in a way that feels like it plays up the sweetness of the flower versus introducing any sort of overt gourmand note (i.e., LDBS with marshmallow).

Love this one. I also have Sintra and find them different. Solar blossom is stunning, the vanilla with the orange blossom and neroli is bliss.

I love this sent profile and Alberto Morillas creates the best of the best of hem all, like a walk in a blooming orchard in the evening.

Sunshine and flower petals bottled

Okay, so, I've had this perfume for two years. It was a gift from the house when I was working at a perfumery in London and I remember liking it but that was the extent of it. As a result, it's sat redundant in my collection until last week. It was extremely hot, I was going to a friend's birthday dinner outside in the evening sun, I was very tanned and wearing white. I figured this would suit the look, so I chose it. I have *never* been so complimented on a perfume in my life. I'm not kidding, I think it must have been ten people in the space of a couple of hours. Waiters came up to tell me I smelled amazing, strangers asked what it was. So, obviously it made me fall a bit in love with the scent too, if it has this effect! Sillage must be impressive as people literally walked across the seating area to ask what I was wearing. I think this is perfectly suited to a summer evening, it's sweet and very heady and the neroli is what I think makes it so intoxicating. The orange blossom is realistic and the vanilla gourmand. It smells like a garden full of fresh orange blossom and jasmine on a hot, HUMID night. That's it. And apparently people can't get enough of it. Give it a go, I guess I know what I'll be wearing all summer.

This is nice, but that’s it. There’s something so boring about Mizensir which absolutely does not match the niche pricing and image they maintain. This is a pleasant feminine fragrance that hits the brief of being an airy citrusy white floral. But there’s nothing special about it in terms of genre, and it has no staying power. It does remind me a bit of Maison Crivelli Fleur Diamantine which is far superior in complexity, performance and all round impressiveness. All in all meh and not worth the money.

I enjoyed my 2 mL sample. But the fun stops here for me. It is beautiful. A sunny sun-sun orange blossom. But also smells loudly synthetic to me. Not that that’s a bad thing. It’s a super high quality synthetic. Like they weren’t just trying to create an orange blossom, but rather the smell of the sun itself on the blossoms. I think if I went full bottle the spicyness combined with the strong synthetic vein would quickly annoy me.

I absolutely love neroli, and this delivers, but without the fresh, green underripeness that I usually find compelling about neroli/orange blossom fragrances. It actually kind of reminds me of sunscreen, and I mean that as a compliment - it's the smell of childhood summer holidays on a beach somewhere. I definitely get the nostalgic angle that I think Mizensir was going for. I won't be buying a bottle, but it's nice.

What a great performer on top notes. I'm mesmerized every time I spray this fragrance on me and It makes me really happy but then and with the arrival of more hours all I can think of is ice cream. There is a cheaper and long lasting version if I want to smell like ice cream although Solar Blossom is definitely unique on that trip between top and middle notes.

I like this most days - sometimes it feels really fresh and sweet and sometimes really sour. The musc does not mix well with my skin. Similar to Sintra, LDBS and Sundazed but more vanilla heavy without marshmallows. Some green notes with Neroli.

A more mature version of love don’t be shy. No marshmallow. Very subtle sweetness. I picture the color yellow when I smell it. Not sure about a full bottle because I wish it had a bit more airiness to match the sunny happy scent.

Powerful beautiful radiating beauty, I really can’t think of a better name for this than solar blossom. A fluffy yellow fragrance with a clean accord.. Mizensir is one of my favorite lines, I appreciate all of his scents.

Orange blossom, jasmine, and neroli with vanilla, all whipped to airy perfection. It's soft on the skin but always right under the nostril. Comparable to Sintra and Love Don't Be Shy, but made for warm/hot weather.

It is a happy, refreshing and delicious fragrance. For orange blossom lovers. It is the scent of the Mediterranean summer...

Let me first say this is not a terrible fragrance, it smells very nice and pleasant. Orange blossom is prevalent with a bit of sweetness thrown in. However, it sets VERY close to the skin. I can only smell my 8 sprays if I put nose to skin or shirt and inhale. I occasionally get a small whiff I move around quickly and catch my own scent. If it projected more I’d possibly consider a full bottle, but no way at that price. I like and respect Mizensir as a house but this weak performing ok scent is certainly not worth $260 any way you shake it. A fragrance that scratches the same itch in a much better way is Parle Moi de Parfum Guimauve de Noel. Has an extremely similar orange blossom and sweetness vibe but you can actually smell it and it’s AMAZING. I want to add that I am not a gal that typically goes for fill a room or notice me fragrances. I’m fine with ones that I enjoy and don’t need compliments. But seriously this is so light and so expensive it’s truly not worth it. Go for Guimauve and thank me when you do :)

I ordered a few samples from les senteurs in London. Glad I didn’t blind buy a full bottle. This is like a less in your face l’interdit. No tuberose but the orange blossom creates that similarity. It’s not as pungent and more delicate but to my nose the similarity is there. I can’t tolerate linterdit so it’s a no for me but if you like the composition of the givenchy and orange blossom heavy fragrances then this will probably be to your liking. I can also detect the neroli and vanilla. It’s a sunny happy fragrance but a bit sweet for me. I think a young girl/ woman would suit this fragrance. It’s quite linear. I prefer white neroli and for your love so far from the house of Mizensir. Luxury I liked initially but now I detect the lipstick smell Iris and the orange blossom is coming off a little sweet for me. It’s quite refined but still the notes stand out too much. I also quite like poudre d’or. Solar blossom just feels like a sibling of linterdit.

As the name suggests, this is an orange blossom scent, but it feels almost captured or overwhelmed by vanilla. Its projection is very strong: wherever you go after spraying it, it leaves a puff-puff scent trail. Unfortunately, I've grown tired of vanilla, which makes it harder for me to enjoy this now. I've started gravitating more toward floral and fresher fragrances. Even though this perfume doesn’t contain any solar notes, it still manages to evoke a solar feeling. However, it’s not suitable for hot weather. It might make more sense for those who miss summer during autumn or the middle of winter.

Pure orange blossom. Sweet and sunny. A love child of Sana Jardin's Berber Blonde and Fleur d'Oranger by Zara. It has that uplifting sunshine brightness that you get from neroli and sweet white florals. This is probably and orange blossom lover's dream. For me personally it's a note I'm on the fence with, I feel it garners lots of compliments in feminine perfumery but also makes things smell generic and basic. Undeniably pleasant but it just doesn't quite resonate with me. If you're a fan of solar florals though, you should try this.

i'm on the hunt for an elegant, refreshing orange blossom, and alas, this is not it. the vanilla counteracts the freshness of the orange blossom too much, making the scent too creamy, sweet, and cloying for my liking.

Oh that a beautiful perfume! Perfect for a warm weather I’d say. Soft orange blossom, sits close to the skin. Unfortunately not very long lasting on my skin. I still really like it, but would need to reapply for sure.

Bright, cheerful, sweet orange blossom. Like all Mizensir fragrances balancing on that natural/synthetic rope. Lasting power is excellent.

So glad I didn’t blind buy this bottle based on reviews and the notes . It’s a really weird, sweet fragrance on the initial spray . I got some sort of spice and it’s not mentioned in the fragrance pyramid . Then , the Neroli and the orange blossom came through. I love orange blossom mixed in with other white florals but as a predominate note , I realise it’s too sweet for me like honeysuckle . It actually comes across on my skin as synthetic . I was searching for vanilla , white florals since I fell in love with this mixture with Isle Longtaines - Keiko Mecheri and love it with her Datura Blanche . I’m sorry to say this blending of citrus notes and vanilla doesn’t work for me . It’s like a curdling effect . It’s a definite no from me but I can see how this fragrance is appreciated . The orange blossom is spot on !

I am not sure which note it is, or a combination of notes, but it throws me off. Maybe it’s Neroli essence, orange blossom, and hedione. There’s a similar accord in Dyptique’s Eau des Sens. I think I get the comparison to Love don’t be shy, though it does not contain any notes that throw me off. LDBS is so much better. Glad I got to try this though.

I think I've finally found my solution to LDBS. LDBS and I could never quite get along. There were things about it I loved but it was a bit too syrupy and just all together too much. I tried every iteration I could find: Eau fraiche, extreme. Also Sintra, Oriana, Guimauve de Noel, Reckless, Perdizione Nobile, Sundazed, you name it. The quest for the perfect sweet fluffy orange blossom was ongoing until Solar Blossom. I bought a full bottle. It's not quite as sweet as LDBS and all the others, definitely more floral, but there is still a fluffy sweetness going on. The lasting power is not great, but hey you can't have it all I guess. It is super strong upon first spray, and stays that way for about 2 hours before becoming more of a skin scent.

At first spritz I out loud screamed "Labello chapstick!" - that's what it smells like, with the difference that this isn't as round and smooth as it contains an annoyingly pungent note which prevents the other notes from blending. They are somewhat disconnected by it, fragmented into (loud) individual voices that evolve into an irritating cacophony. Surprised to say that it got me angry bothered from first spray until it finally died off my skin. Selling my full 100ml bottle, message me if interested! I love this nose work, but say as you wish, this is not one of his best. PS - I think the annoying note was Hedione. PPS - it reminds me of Isles Loîntaines Keiko Mecheri, but not as pleasant.
