Nihilism

I purchased my bottle today and found this fantastic description of this unique gem - which I think really captures the essence of 'nihilism' from: The Scented Letter Issue 36; "Wearing this is like a Tinder date with identical twins: one aristocratic and reckless, the other a down-to-earth rabble-rousing type with below-stairs humour and a belly laugh that shakes walls."

A light and airy rose with a lasting clarity along the lines of Hermes Rhubarbe Ecarlate (they smell quite different but give me a similar impression). Predictably more linear and long lasting on clothes - like a joss-stick without the smoke. On skin I detected an undercurrent of ylang ylang but on reflection that may have been an illusion caused by the jasmine in combination with everything else. Also on skin the animalic Tonquitone became much more obvious. So realistic it made me laugh out loud. Not a challenging or disgusting smell but definitely adding an interesting dimension to the rose - if you’ve ever mucked out a horse’s stable and found yourself sniffing your hands with pleasure afterwards then you’ll recognise this. My description makes it sound disgusting but it is actually very good and well worth a try if you’re interested in a unisex rose with jasmine facets and perhaps a little subconscious physicality...

My gosh this is so strange for me .all I seem to smell is cats wee 😭😭😭 not for me at all I don't know how one could wear this one .have never smelled any thing like it ever in perfume .yikes 😞
