Fleur d'Oranger Eau de Parfum

The opening of this frag is a bit spicy with petitgrain and bigarade (forget about the perfume pyramide above: it's a mistake, rather check the Molinard website), bigarade being a small spicy orange (there's no fig, cypress or lavender as erroneously stated in the top notes, and no rose neither jasmine thereafter). Then we get a a nice combination of neroli, clean musks and orange absolute, the later will first eject neroli and finally (after 3-4 hours) the musks out of the game, leaving a beautiful orange absolute skin scent for many hours. So, this is globally a "musky orange absolute" which could have found it's place in Sylvaine Delacourte's private musk series. The frag is not signed by a nose, so probably it's a co-work of several noses Molinard can afford. I love it, but I also understand that some perfume lovers may be surprised by the very discrete opening and the sort of Gauss-like evolution. This can be prevented by spaying a layer of Guerlain's very orange-citric Cologne Imperiale before applying Fleurs d'Oranger, and I agree that this is not necessary using frags like the orange blossom of Serge Lutens. But the scent after 2 to 4 hours of this frag is very elegant and pure, a real pleasure, and the musky twist before the end is absolutely original.

Love this stuff. Very underrated neroli scent from Molinard. Most Molinards are underrated. This is a neroli punch straight away. Little bit of citrus and bitter greens which fade away after the opening. The bitter greens help this lean more unisex than feminine to my nose. The neroli/orange blossom combo is fantastic. Stays pretty creamy on my skin which I enjoy. It will remind of other neroli scents as noted but on discounters Molinard can be found for dirt cheap. For this price, considering the quality and that it's an underrated niche house, this is great. Has to be one of best neroli/orange blossom scents for the money.

I love it! The start is harsh, indeed, mostly herbal, cypress i suppose. Lavender is less obvious, and then there's a very bitter citrus which i love. It smells like streets of a Mediterranean city in early spring, when the bitter orange trees are blooming along with the ripe fruits on them. As the time pass, the scent becomes more soft, sweet and soapy but in a good way, like my favourite Nesti Dante soap, very pleasant. This is gonna be my new favourite, I think it's best for the late winter/early spring time.

I feel that Molinard is highly underrated in generl. Affordable and really nice. Good longevity, nice good put together scents. This one is pure neroli at the beginning, citrusy, fresh, soapy. After driedown it becomes creamy , soapy, warm, clean, soft....just beautiful . Nothing outstanding, nothing hasn't been made before, but as it promises it is a pure orange blossom scent, and very affordable. Workplace friendly.

Gorgeous orange blossom fragrance. Not as dark and spicy as Serge Lutens, not as sweet and delicate as Penhaligons Orange Blossom. You get the aromatics of the lavender without full blast lavender. Good longevity, much better than Penhaligons. If the cumin and woods are too much for you with the SL Fleurs d' orangers, this is a great value, well crafted alternative. Would definitely buy again.

I love Fleur d'Oranger. I like citrus aromatics anyway and this is one of my favorites. Scents of orange and a faintly mentholated evergreen predominate in the beginning. It ends in a musky orange. Orange blossoms may be traditional for weddings, but this is unexpectedly carnal, making me think more of the wedding night. Edited 5/30/22 to delete a paragraph.

A tart citrus bite overlaying nondescript white florals and a clean white musk. Fresh and quite sharp, a bit sour even, faintly flavored with orange and green and herbal bits. Very much a classic cologne-style scent. The citrus fades after a couple hours, unveiling more of the floralcy. Moderately soft projection fades over 3-4hr, longevity 6-8hr. A well-worn scent profile. Not much to say other than the supposed rose note isn't really noticeable.

90% similar to 4711 original cologne and TF Portofino. Orange flower is noticable only at dry down. Dissapointed, cause now I have three similar perfumes. :(

Tricked again! Lasts about 1hr...perhaps 1.5hrs with very little projection. Opens with a nice citrusy/Neroli/Lavender. Very quickly become a lavender forward frag (70%) with a little Neroli (20%). I mostly get lavender, which gives it a very soap like vibe. Think a really soft and airy Tide powder smell. Its clean and pleasant. Feminine. Its lacking that designer lift you get when you initially spray. Especially a designer like TF Neroli Portifino. The DNA is similar to TF Neroli Portifino, but not anywhere as good. It does remind of Fleur De Male or Xerjoff Oesel; but much less indolic and obviously much worse performance. As far as Performance - Very light projection that lasts about 1-2hrs tops. I consider any fragrance I would never buy a bottle of -- overpriced. scent-7/10 performance -2/10

I was really excited about this one. However, it is not what I expected. Once I sprayed it, it reminded me of a throat spray I used to use. It is powdery, dry, herbal green. There are citruses in it, but they are not the star of the show. It becomes more subtle on the dryout, but it is not the warm, welcoming citrus fragrance that you might expect. It is fresh, green, a bit dusty and not so sweet. It might be a bit harsh for those who prefer sweet fragrances. Overall, it is a great quality perfume, but it is unique and not the safest buy.

Rather disappointing. For me, it smells like the wipes they give you in airplane.

Smells like an old lady to me. I love neroli portofino but i don’t find it simillar. 0 fig and almost a skin scent. Wasted my money on this one

The initial blast is fresh, green, inviting, orange-flower loveliness! Then, after 30 minutes, it morphs into an incensy, musky, slightly warm and powdery, bordering on sweet and amber/tonka bean. It is very discreet at this point. Yuck. I didnt like this change. This is *nothing* like 4711, it has very little sparkle or zest, and it even lacks the exotic headiness that is just so wonderful about orange flowers. It turns into something dated, reminiscent of a sickly cloying mix of the scent of every woman at a wedding on the dance floor. I wanted to love it. I just couldn't.

Finding this very light. Almost not there. I'm having trouble with the very citric herbal opening, but thankfully that doesn't last for long. On me it just simply disappears after that and a slight musky orange scent pops up towards the end. I'm disappointed because this is not the orange flower perfume I was expecting. I find the beginning really quite masculine. It might work better when the weather eventually becomes truly summery.

As other reviewers pointed out, this smells very similar to Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. My husband says it smells purer than NP though. He likes it more than me. On the drydown I catch a whiff of stink from the orange blossom that is unadulterated and definitely full of pollen
