Iles d'Or

Cheeky, sfrontato. Businessman and in private. Assertive, charismatic and well dressed. It doesn’t seek approval it naturally attracts attention. A few of my favourite fragrances speak with quiet elegance, Iles d’Or confidence and charm. It’s a love from me. Edit: With every wear, the fragrance gains more definition. The blend becomes clearer, textured and its character more nuanced yet remains focused. It never distracts, it never grows louder, gentleness is in its nature. It doesn’t announce itself with “Here I come.” It quietly says, “This is me.” I can’t stop wearing it. Is it infatuation or have I really stumbled upon my signature scent at last? 😮😀

I own a full bottle. To my nose it strongly resembles MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver but lacks the metallic edge, offering a unique and sophisticated unisex alternative. While the scent itself is a perfect 10/10, its longevity and sillage are disappointing at 5/10. However, given the reasonable price point, the exquisite fragrance still makes it a worthwhile addition to any collection.

It smells like a hot man who just got out of shower and put on some freshly washed clothes. I don’t find it masculine but this picture came to my mind 😀 Beautiful!

Beautiful scent, it’s crisp, cool, ethereal, and fresh. Not a clone but smelled similar to MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver.

"The Golden Islands" is absolutely delightful. Smells like a perfect summer day. It's bright, sunny and floral, it smells natural and distinct, unique. I don't know what honeysuckle, mimosa and sarsaparilla smell like, but the fresh mandarin I recognize, along with juniper berries and lavender. The "islands" relate to an aquatic muskyness in the drydown - it's reminiscent of something I can't quite put my finger on (Versace Pour Homme maybe a bit, but this seems more natural and less sweet). This is unisex. At gunpoint I'd say leaning feminine just because of the florals. Soft performance, summer and spring. Good stuff. (Note Molinard calls the base note 'mousse', just moss, not oakmoss like Fragrantica says - the ingredients don't list evernia prunastri: ALCOHOL DENAT., PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), AQUA (WATER), LINALOOL, LIMONENE, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE, ISOEUGENOL, COUMARIN, EUGENOL) Edit: It too me long to notice but there’s a bit of ambroxan in this. A well administered little dose. That aquatic muskiness I mentioned earlier!

If you' don't take too literally the palm tree on the bottle, you'll get it. It's about serenity, piece of mind, shared solitude. A somehow classic crispy juniper/lavender pour le monsieur, but there's also some maternal sweetness in action: delicate, dewy flowers that grow on vines and trees. If you've seen how delicate a mimosa tree flower is, you'd know what I mean. It's like fragrant bird feathers. And if you've also touched juniper, you will also know what I mean. It's the opposite: robust, thick, hard to crush, full of bitter sap, healthy aftershave mode. That's the counterpart. The marriage of these two opposites seems so natural. light-handed, carefree. made for mornings. Add a metal note from the iron steam, there you go. Really nice.

This has definitely similarities (85% similar in my opinion) with MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver. In the dry down, Iles d'Or is more mossy & floral (honeysuckle and especially the Mimosa) compared to the woody dry down of Gentle Fluidity. The dna is quite similar to Gentle Fluidity : Aromatic juniper berries, aquatic notes, (ambroxan) and with a floral backbone. This scent has to grow on you - it's not a mass pleasure. Unisex but more masculin leaning.

Leans a bit more masculine, but only because it smells like a fresh aquatic ( honeysuckle and mimosa?) with some herbs thrown in to invoke the though of a old fashioned fougère fragrance. This might be the gateway fragrance for people who like fougère, but want a more modern take on it so others are more accepting. I'd recommend it for people who like Chanel Blue, I think it reminds me of that. It's not a bad fragrance, just dull for me.

This smells like coming out of the shower on a summer Saturday morning in your twenties. There was a garden party the night before and you slept at your new boyfriend’s place. Because you hadn’t planned to you didn’t bring anything and find yourself using his bodywash. Fresh, summery, a bit masculine, ready to conquer the day - and go for a swim.

I really like this. Smells like Gentle Fluidity Silver but extremely diffusive materials are taken away so it's a more clear smell and not that strong. + added florals, soft yellow mimosa. Moss and lavender, juniper makes it a masculine fragrance, but it's fresh and smells of spring

Masculine fragrance, fresh whit tiny swith touch. I found similarty with Maryam al haramain. Both of them are great for summer, but I will give priority to Maryam al haramain

I can’t pinpoint which fragrance this smells like , i never smelled mfk gfs but this smells oddly familiar. Very pleasant
