Les Amoureux de Peynet

a great cologne projection and durability are not super as you would expect but still this lasts a few hours. the first thing is, it is good, it's fresh, clean, summery. the second is, it comes as one of the best bang for the bucks, less than 50$ for a 100 ml bottle. to compare, a similar cologne like Dior Cologne Homme is almost the double, other brands much much more (see Tom Ford Neroli line). I would recommend it to everyone to cover that "fresh summer cologne" in the locker.

What a nice and refreshing citruses. I happen to like citruses only in Guerlain AA, others somehow become cheap and anoying on my skin. So this is second choice that gives a realistic blast of citruses, brings to lemon garden in Greece, on a hot midday. Does not stay long, few hours, but the drydown is very soft, same lemon tree garden in the evening.even though bottle for some reason gives a reflection about autum, the juicy is only about sunny days.

Fresh citruses with very nice hint of ginger,but the ilustration on the bottle is totaly wrong, same as the naming.the fresh clean citruses are way more into summer joy and fun energy, than birds or some lovers on a bench in the park. Some what marketing did not work. It has somethin similar to Guerlain Nerolia Blanca, which is prefered by me due to much better longevity.

I have found a new favorite perfumer, Mr. Nardin. This is such a gentle nod to the mid-century modern French illustrator Peynet. Slightly sweet, herbal with ginger note similar to an Origins fragrance from the 90's that I had forgotten about until smelling this. Also adore Nardin's Figure which probably is my new signature scent. 100 for $50.00.

This is a lovely citrus cologne indeed! performance is cologne-like: sillage doesn't even exist, and longevity is small... but this is common in light summery scents like this one, and it's fine for me. Pretty straightforward without becoming too linear, it has strong ginger and lime in it as well as some verbena and petitgrain, that give to this citrus concoction a more mature edge. Vetiver is also present in the background and adds a bit more balsamic freshness. A lovely scent for summer days, but nothing more than a very good cologne.

I bought this for my collection mostly because the bottle is beautiful (as with most Molinards)! The juice, however, is so so. Smell reminds a very diluted version of Terre d'Hermes (this is cologne concentration). The performance is below average even for eau de cologne. The fleeing citruses get quickly replaced by woody notes with vetiver and spice from nutmeg. It becomes skin scent almost instantly :( So if you are a collector, consider it. If you are looking to use it, look elsewhere, this will let you down.

I adore this perfume! I bought the 125 ml bottle at Molinard's shop in Grasse and I'm glad the bottle is so big because I've worn this perfume a LOT. I thought this perfume would be good only for summer, due to its fresh orange/ginger hit, but it works equally well now in the autumn It starts off with a fresh (but not screechy!) boost of orange and citrus, and spices (ginger). Dries down to a lovely smooth blanket of mellow spices, amber and woods. This perfume always cheers me up and was a very nice companion when I had a really nasty cold a few weeks ago and needed to feel better. It's a unisex scent, so my husband has started using it now too! It smells really nice on both of us. Guess I better buy another bottle.. ;) NB that this perfume is an eau de cologne, so the staying power isn't that great, which is to be expected from an EdC. Apply liberally. :)

It smell quite natural, I could say it taste bitter orange and cyclamen. But mandarine is the most prominent note here. Childish and maybe a bit disinfectant... now I get, in some way it smell like vitamin C, yes like those candies you find into pharmacies. Zesty fragrance. I don't go crazy for it but it is nice even with that touch of originality to be a citrus scent, very moderate sillage and longevity.

This fragrance is perfect for sunny spring days. At first the citric notes are perceived in a sweet and pleasant way. Then feel the vetiver and the musk. In the skin feel fresh and clean. I love its nice smell.
