Miss Habanita

Edit: I lost my connection and the site put me as a guest. Each person's skin is a different world. I tried this on at a counter at my local mall and I was very impressed. When I smelled it on paper, it smelled sweet, but there is something behind it. This is not your tipical i am sweet and sugary just like everybody else perfume. On my skin it smells of ripe fruit and creamy richness. There's also some wood there, but it's not so apparent after much later. After an hour or so, it turns into this blend of rich woods, powder and beautiful flowers with still some fruits from the opening. This is high quality french perfume. You just can't stop smelling it. It was weird for me, since I absolutely LOVE Habanita (the original perfume with the black bottle) and any perfume that's strong and spicy. If Habanita is the dark witch that captures you, dominates and makes you kiss her boots afterwards and haunts you forever,, Miss Habanita is the same witch disguised in red and gold tthat prowls outside that can ravish you and make you feel her scent on you all day. It is that good.

For me Miss Habanita is a bright, crisp white wine full of sparkling white grapes blended with over-ripened spiced dark sweet peaches and a touch of sweet dark raisins and red currants. Vetiver and crisp sandalwood lend a crispy, almost spicy, uplifting quality. Miss Habanita is definitely sparkly, refreshing, happy, excitingly delightful "party girl" scent for Spring and Summer, though it's great all year long when you need a lift. Sillage is moderate, and on me, longevity is awesome, staying strong more than 10 hours, until I wash it off. It's a natural fruits scent, with a touch of smoke, sweet but not sugary, unique, very much on the feminine side, but could be unisex, and smells very expensive. I absolutely LOVE Miss Habanita !

Miss Habanita how lovely you are! This is a lush smokey fruit incense. She goes deep into your pores leaving a wispy mix of vanilla and smoked fruit. I LOVE the sandalwoodvetiver mix although I would put it in the middle notes instead of the front like it is rated up top but that is just me. I don't get alot of floral except for the jasmine. Also, I am not real sure why this is a "chypre" but I trust the fragranticians on this site...Any way overall, a WOMANS fruity perfume. Maybe cloying in the humid heat of summer...but a definite winner in the fall and winter. I also want to say this is my fifth Molinard perfume and all have them have a harmony and depth that you just can't get anywhere! Happy Perfuming!!!♥

Molinard Miss Habanita EDT is more than just a fruit cup. Peaches, crisp grapes, yes. It also features some delicate woods and bright green moss, the vivd, fresh moss you see in the forest on a humid spring day. It just suggests freshness. The sweetness of this one is tempered by the other notes. Miss Habanita suggest a connection to nature. This is not the vanilla cupcake meltdown you might get from a celeb fragrance that lists similar notes. Very nicely done.

I had this one for my 18th birthday , it was not this bottle though , it was a much prettier one (maybe a special edition ?). The scent was the same however . I'm not always a fan of the Chypre group , but this one is so special , it's glowing ,it's warm , it's generous and happy , and fruity indeed , but maybe not enough to be regarded as a floral fruity . I prefered wearing it in fall or winter , the sweet perfume are yucky in summer imo :-P

I think it's beautiful. Musky heavy fruit. It's deliciously creamy. And through the whole thing it has a lovely vintage vibe to it which brings it to something quite new. It's gorgeous on my skin, I really love it. 8/10

This is really pretty! Like several other reviewers have stated it does remind me of a dessert or a sweet wine. It is sweet (not cloying), fruity, and effervescent!

I have read on Molinard's website that this perfume is identical to Miss de Molinard. It is basically the same perfume. I don’t know if they stopped making this and resolved to just make Miss. My review os for Miss, but I also post it here since they are considered to be the same thing. I blind bought this from their website, I didn’t really know what to expect. I like it: it is a warm vanilla-based perfume with strong peach, and a flowery background. At the beginning it is a bit chaotic: the peach is wild and the sparkling white wine note (not really a grape note to me) makes it even brighter. The vanilla is there from the start, but at first it is subtle. After a while, on me at least, the vanilla takes over, and the peach and the wine sink in the background. After some other time, vanilla and peach are the main stars, ylang makes an appearance with a faint jasmine, and the wine disappears. The perfume goes from a wild, fizzy and sharp beginning to a rounder and mellower drydown. It gets better and better with time, the notes "separate" and become.more clear and rounded. Performance is great, it lasts half a day on me. Projection is moderate to strong. It is not a fresh perfume at all, it is actually quite warm. In my opinion, it is best worn in winter, fall or early spring. Not really in the summer, it would get cloying since it is quite a sweet perfume. Not exactly a gourmand, but close. It is really good, quite the people pleaser if you will.

miss habanita,who is the daughter of "misses" habanita the opulent,tabacco,gold,incense lady...look my black eyes! miss habanita,is so different,on my arm,a little sweet peach with a little sugar,a juicefruit really,i thought i wouldn't like this fragrance.but ,even if this perfum stays simple,linear(one :peach goldie peach summer on your skin,after a different fruit more interresting :grape wine,give a good power,for two years after it is staying a very fine smellingperhaps vanilla with a little touch of wood,discret one,like a remind of an old summer.....well done,just well done.i take it ;))ka

For lovers of the fabulous original madame Habanita this is NOT her daughter or even her grand-daughter. Miss H could be her granddaughter-in-law or distant cousin related only through marriage. This is an interesting spin on the usual "fruit-salad" fruity-floral. It is chypre-esque but not too much (good for the chypre beginner or chypre averse); sweet but not syrupy (unless you are sweet averse); fruits are spiced and juicy gently supported by the florals (I get mostly orchid and ylang); the woods and vanilla keep it all grounded . . . I like it!!

C'est un beau parfum qui réussit à être sucré et vraiment fruité sans être mièvre, avec une pointe de sophistication, grâce à son côté chypre.Il a une bonne tenue, se porte plutôt pour la saison fraîche car bien présent et son prix est correct. J'aurais préféré qu'il conserve son joli flacon Lalique d'antan. Il peut être entêtant, je conseille aux migraineuses de bien le tester d'abord. Je m'en suis un peu lassée, il faut dire que les fruités ne sont pas mes préférés.

I really like this, but don't get grape at all...more Nectarine or even Guava rather than just sweet peach.(Maybe that's the grape/peach combo & I can't differentiate?) It is not sickly sweet as some of the newer fruity concoctions are, it develops well, with the mossier notes evident.In all a young, but sophisticated summery offering, I would think with a place in every wardrobe.

Kind of like rotten fruit: lots of raisin, a hint of peach, some orchid and ylang, sandalwood and vanilla. In the base, the vetiver is present to give it an herbal, almost oakmoss vibe. A bit cacophonous. Kind of liked it in the top but it grew less appealing as it dried down. I am wearing the vintage in the beautiful bottle.

I had a friend of mine bring back a bottle of this for me from France, and I was scared it would wind up being a syrupy, grape and peach mess. I was pleasantly suprised at what came out of the bottle. This is most definitely chypre, and while I dislike chypres in general, it works wonderfully for the fruit here. The grapes and the peach are not of the sugar sweet variety, but more sparkling and light. This was described to me as being a lighter, sweeter, more fruity and younger version of Habanita. I've yet to smell Habanita but there is a faint impression of something deep, dark, and leather in the background of chypre fruit. It is very faint but it is there. I can only assume this is the work of the oakmoss, but judging by the notes in Habanita I can definitely see this being a younger sister to Habanita. The drydown is smooth, creamy, and pure vanilla. I wasn't prepared to like this, but I have to say that Miss Habanita has won me over. Which says a lot for a self proclaimed chypre hater. Sillage is fairly impressive. I sprayed just a little on my arm, covered up in a long sleeve shirt and thick coat, and all day I was looking around for whatever it was that smelled so nice! Unfortunately, as soon as the drydown hits the scent all but dissapears into a vanilla skin scent.

Miss Habinita is not for me. I enjoy some chypres, fruity scents, I even enjoy moss in scents, but MH has too much of the "old style" feel for me. Verging a bit on rotting fruit in a not so good way. I should have been warned with the comparisons to Habinita of which I am also not a fan but I decided to forge ahead. Needless to say I suppose I gravitate towards brighter cleaner scents. This one had me reaching for the soap. So be warned, if you do not enjoy scents with an older feel to them do not try this. It is not a modern fruity scent. It could have been created well before the 80's. On the otherhand if you are not a fan of the modern fruity scents, and you DO enjoy the older styles, maybe MIss Habinita is for you.

I'm so sorry to do this but that pretty inviting bottle fooled me. Nope just can't seem to enjoy this one. But then again I am more of a spice/warm heavy fragrance lover. I scrubbed and scrubbed and it is still there. I don't find many that I've got to scrub off. However on the positive side my husband liked it and said it's got a very familiar vibe and he said I think it reminds me of older frags like Chanel. I believe he might be right.

This smells like an aquatic-sweet patchouli to me, which reminds me of Cacharel Eden. There's no patchouli in the notes so it must be the vetiver and vanilla that give the "warm earthy" scent I'm smelling... in any case, it doesn't blend well with the fresh, slightly aquatic fruits, in my opinion. I get nothing in common with Habanita, nothing smokey or sultry.

This one has got nothing to do with the original Habanita which I like a lot. Miss Habanita is a young scent that found me disappointed. It's like many scents out there for young girls and did not fulfill my expectations of a "lighter" version of Habanita.

Too fruity for my tastes. I like Chypre floral and fruitty, but this smells too much of peach, it disturbs me, almost makes me sick

Over a recent seven day period in the south of France I was able to enjoy numerous French perfumes that were produced local to Grasse in their company factories. For me, this is a bit too sweet and heavy, whereas the Habanita is mostly too raw and astringent to my nose (I have easy and difficult days with a lot of older style fragrances and respect your opinions if they are different). What I did do whilst I had the opportunity in France was to mix Miss Habanita with the the Habanita. By varying the blend from day to day I settled essentially on a 1:1 mix, though a lot depended (this may seem odd to you) on the humidity level given the variation in warm dry vs cold wet throughout the early/mid days of February. Would love to know if your sensitivity and opinion changes in relation to ambient levels of humidity and other natural air pressure related senses. For example, whilst on an airplane do your feelings shift about what ambient fragrances you are smelling (though in confined spaces it can be difficult to differentiate what is on your self or other people. Maybe it is with the dramatic changes in altitude whilst driving or taking long walks in mountains that your senses alter. Does it alter if you are by the sea or in a desert ?

This is my impression of a seriously "vintage" edt. Very ripe peaches that were long time cooked in a sugar to make a preserve, but then some wine was added on and it was all was set to brew. this it miss H for me. winter/cold weather/dull day perfume, cosy smell indeed. nothing massive, well- i had 1 spray on my arm,just to get the 'drift', as my husband keeps getting 'poisoned' on a regular basis by my perfumetesting adventures ha ha ha. yes, it is almost live a dessert white wine that aged in a wooden barrel and acquired a yellow-gold-brownish, rich colour and rich tase. very different, nothing to compare to what i know, AND -SO SO SO uncomparable to YSL Champagne whom i am a dedicated wearer of!!! will i buy it ? don t know if i would be thinking to buy a new version... but i snapped a vintage 30ml that surely will keep for extra cold days to cheer me up!

Wearing this now as I wish for autumn. Miss Habanita has nothing to do with Havana in my imagination - no tobacco, no tropical notes. Miss Habanita smells of autumn. It's overripe grapes dried and become raisins; peaches, bursting fruit, the smell of a cornucopia. Perfect for the first cool day...still at least a month away, but I wish for it now as I wear this, breathing in the ripe fruit and calling to mind Keats' imagery, [to] fill all fruit with ripeness to the core; To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells With a sweet kernel; to set budding more, And still more, later flowers for the bees, Until they think warm days will never cease.... I don't think this is made anymore. My bottle has to be at least 10 years old. If I had not rearranged all my fragrances this summer, it would still be forgotten at the back. But there is something grand about this cozy smell. It puts me in mind of a bucolic image from an old pink Wedgwood plate, those images that are 70% sky and clouds. An old discontinued scent to restore continuity to the past. Beautiful warm ripe fruit ending in deep vetiver.

Not long ago, one of my good friends was working as a restaurant manager. She was so loved by all her employees that they treated her like a queen. When we had dinner there, all the employees brought us the best of the best. The sommalier brought us a white wine that was the best I've ever tasted!! I later learned that it cost $150 a bottle!!! It was like a summers day bottled. It was made from sweet muscat grapes and had a peach note with a slight smokiness from the barrel. This fragrance is exactly like that fine wine. This one is just so pretty! I agree with PerfumePatty that it reminds me of vintage YSL Champagne. The peach and vanilla is my favorite smell in YSL Champagne and it is my favorite smell in this one!

This is basically exactly how I thought Yvresse would be. This is what I would call a sweet sparkling wine of a perfume instead of the overly sweet and sugary fruit I got from the current version of Yvresse. As others have said, this feels like a sweet muscat wine, golden and mellow not acidic. The grape is actually pleasant instead of Kool-aid style. I don't get much in the way of mosses etc which is a shame but it fulfils it's sparkling objectives nonetheless. Despite all the references to wine though, for me it will always remind me of a stolen weekend with a ex in London being anonymous, free and uncaring in the middle of a bustling sticky heatwave.

Very grape and vanilla which is a charming unexpected combination. It has the heady heavy resin qualities of vanilla, a very sweet french vanilla icecream vanilla with the crisp freshness of grape. There's something candied in the scent, a little bit grape soda, but not cheap soda, like an artisanal grape-vanilla soda in a glass bottle with fancy graphic design. It makes me think of a very worldly teenage girl, perhaps a teenaged Eloise (of the Plaza hotel) sophisticated, aware of quality but still young and playful.

Fun, fruity, sweet and light-hearted is the best way that I would sum up Miss Habanita. Initially all I get is a grape juice scent. It's sweet, tangy and thick and oh so delicious! That overwhelming grape juice aroma eventually fades as peaches and a floral note takes over. The sweet scent of vanilla provides a creaminess to the dry down. I find the lasting power is at least six hours with moderate sillage. A great warm weather offering from Molinard...that can even be worn in winter too.

I tried a sample from a generous Fragrantica member...very interesting discovery...it reminds me of one of my favorites, Yves Saint Laurent's Yvresse (Champagne) - how nice! It has that same sophisticated champagne-peachy scent. A little of the smoky and dried fruit/raisin notes, but subtle. You can get a 3.3 bottle on ebay for about $20 including shipping. Compared to the price of Yvresse, that's a bargain! The similarity really did impress me. Thumbs up!

Either I have a different Miss Habanita on me or my skin chemistry is super weird. I don't get the light, fruity and sparkling. I was looking forward to it after all reviews. Hoping for an airy fruity summer frag. All I get it sandalwood with tons of vetiver and vanilla, plus some dried fruit. Sure, it is lighter than original Habanita, but so far from light and sparkly. Basically a strongly diluted habanita. Which I own. Very dissapointed...

This is going to sound insane but hear me out... This reminds me in some way of Gucci Rush. In Gucci Rush I get mostly plasticky peach with Vetiver a close second. In Miss Habanita it's the opposite, I get vetiver strongest with the plasticky peach playing a more supporting role. I like it better than Rush. This is Rush all grown up.
