Orange Cannelle

Imagine Candied Oranges mixed with a very high quality Vanilla & Cinnamon all swirling together! Orange Cannelle is a wonderfully fresh, clean fragrance yet foody too! I love it! I've worn it once and couldn't keep my wrist away from my nose. And, my husband said I smelled good enough to eat!! He couldn't keep his hands off me. WOW, I'll be wearing it a lot more. If you like true Orange scents that are sweetened, this is for you. I could picture wearing this all year round as it truly fits into any season.

Orange Cannelle was pretty darn orangey. I almost couldn't smell the cinnamon, it was more of an undertone for me. I think I could even smell the lemon better than I could smell the cinnamon. I wouldn't have known vanilla was in here. Benzoin I can see because there is a bit of a warm balmy element, cozy in the almost powder like sweet way. I think this fragrance could be associated with orange cleaning products if you use them. Thankfully I use lavender scented products to mop my floors at home. It does smell like the orange dish soap we use at work, but it's not like I smelt it and went "Oh, awful" because the orange dish soap really doesn't smell bad. I'm a little jealous of the reviews that make it sound like an orangey cinnamon bun, alas as a gourmand fan I wouldn't pin it even close to that category for me. This fragrance is very darn citrus, sunshiney, and nice! It's simple and I like it, although it's not as spicy/sweet as I expected. A great one to wear away from the orange dish soap :P.

LOVELY sweet, juicy, cinnamon orange! Very Yummy!!! A warm, cozy, cool weather orange scent. ZERO lasting power! No matter how much was sprayed or where, very disappointing and surprising for a Molinard. I went through a 100ml bottle in less than 3 months (and that's not using it daily) trying to get some staying power . . . no dice. Sad.

At first sniff, I'm reminded of orange furniture polish. Not a bad smell....but not what I want to smell like so far. Sharp, bitter orange....very linear to my nose. A softer, sweetness pulls through after a few minutes and what I smell now is orange gumdrops....kind of cheap and very simple. Sadly, I don't get any of the cinnamon, vanilla or benzoin that was in the description and that I had hoped for. For anyone who's ever sipped Constant Comment tea ( spicey, warm orange) that's the scent I had imagined and wanted so badly.The smell makes me kind of sick...fortunately, it's not too strong and fades pretty quickly into something vaguely sweet and tolerable. I guess if you love orange this could work for you...I thought I loved orange too but maybe not so much now....something about this doesn't work for me...darn.

I've bought this fragrance in 1993 directly in Grasse, chez Molinard (together with Heliotrope), originally was in the blue bottle with decorated label and golden capsule. I don't like these cold new bottles, the intention is to be architectural and art-decò, but the result is a tombstone. A tombstone with a pantone label in the middle. Anyway Orange Cannelle is a frozen orange supported by an aura of airy cinnamon and spices. I find it more bitter than sweet. Or I mean sweet but so fresh, so frozen that seems almost bitter. It was very original that time, I had a lot of compliments. the sillage is good as the longevity. Remind me a bit Happy for Man by Clinique, but less synthetic. It could be an excellent mate for summer and leave good memories.

My experience with this fragrance seems to be different than most. Let me first say that I LOVE the house of Molinard, and I own at least half of the perfumes they make. This one let me down, but I think it is my fault for having a certain expectation, as I really wanted it to smell like a Christmas candle. It doesn't. My hope was that it would be a very warm and spicy winter orange, but on me it was a very flat and masculine orange tonic that one would see splashed on at an old barbershop. Absolutely unisex, but no vanilla and no cinnamon...as stated in the fragrance grouping, a simple citrus aromatic.

This Molinard is a little lighter than the others but just as nice. I am getting mostly sweet juicy tangerines, but no cinnamon. Very refreshing for summer. By the way it layers beautifully with Cacharel Liberte....makes it fresher and more sophisticated! Try it with other citrusy or orange based fragrances that you want to freshen up or amplify...you will be pleasantly surprised!

I believe Orange Cannelle has been discontinued, but I acquired a free sample from another decant purchase. I’m a fan of Molinard, but this one is a little dull, though I don’t dislike it. Like others, I get orange and nothing else. This behaved like a cologne and my single spray disappeared within the hour. Nothing remarkable.

I think I should stop using orange scented hardwood floor cleaner around the house, because it totally ruins this fragrance for me. Every time i put it on I feel like I just sprayed myself from a bottle of "orange glow". It's amazing what associations can do to your mind!

I could hardly detect any cinnamon. This is a very sweet orange fragrance. It's not bad at all, but if you are looking for spicy, this is not the one. For cinnamon lovers, I think L de Lolita Lempicka is scrumptuous.
