Vents et Marées

I got completely hooked when I tried it in-store, and since it was on sale, I couldn’t resist bringing it home. On my skin, it opens with a marine freshness, soft freesia, and a clean musky base. I don’t pick up much of the citrusy notes or black currant—which is a plus for me, since black currant usually aren’t my favorite. At first, I couldn’t quite place what it reminded me of (maybe Davidoff Cool Water - naah)... until today. It finally clicked: on me, it gives off major Jil Sander Pure vibes—a scent I used to adore years ago. That comforting, airy cleanliness with a subtle warmth and sweetness. Such a nostalgic throwback in the best possible way. Longevity on me is about 12 hrs but it rather sits close to skin.

This a fun summer scent, very similar to Amor Amor indeed, perhaps a little more dense on the fruit and a tad less sweet. Also along the lines of Parlez moi d'Amour Encore Galliano or the Pink Fresh Couture Moschino, that kind of vibe. Simple, uncomplicated pick me up, a little bit of shampoo-ey even but I'm not mad at all. Imnavgz's comment is spot in.

I actually love what this fragrance is doing without any real desire to ever wear it or particularly enjoy it. That’s the thing about perfumery it’s more than just what you like or enjoy, it’s about experiences and something about this fairly ‘cheap’ smelling, jarring perfume makes me smile and feel it respects sort of old school rules of perfume. The main thing I like is the fruity, aqua top notes that clementine and white musk hits straight away giving a sort of Clinique Happy vibe but with a purple hue of cassis to it, reminiscent of that Ralph Lauren one or is it Bleeker st by that Bond No.9 brand? (Shit... you hear nothing about them anymore!!!) But the base is all, classic vanillic tonka and soft coumarinic almond. The blend is initially jarring but as it settles on skin it actually kinda works pretty well. Not for me personally but something strangely endearing about it.

Very likeable, summertime floral, fruity marine scent. Sweet but not cloying, marine but not salty - perfectly balanced. Female leaning for sure.

Salty, floral and citrusy, I like it but it doesn’t stand out very much. Smells like a warm summer day. A bit expensive, doesn’t last very long.

Has a sweet, lightly citrus, and primarily fruity top. I can't really distinguish any notes in particular but the vibe is light, fun, and spring/summery. Reading the notes I can see how black currant is here, though. Freesia makes sense too, but I wouldn't have been able to identify that without seeing the breakdown. There is a mildly salty undertone throughout, but it's mostly mild but if I apply it too strongly or take too many deep whiffs I can start getting a headache It gets a little bit powdery on the dry down. Lightly woody and powdery. It's reasonable if you don't like powder scents like me. It will most likely be a turn off if you don't like powder. The opening and middle are both so pleasant. The dry down definitely knocks it down for me. The salt and powder start taking over. It goes from a strong like to barely an "ok" by the end of it all.

I smelled this fragrance in Grasse, and it immediately stood out for me from the Molinard line. I find it so much fun, light, perfect for a summer day. On me it really holds up for a very long time - which is truly impressive in the summer heat - and on me it projects really fruity. I know it’s not one of the listed notes but it immediately made me think of apricot. It kind of remind’s me of Kilian’s Liaison Dangereuses, but a lot lighter and in a way it’s kind of an old school fragrance. Like it reminds me of one of my grandma’s girlfriends. But at the same time light, airy and fun? I like it. Got a small roll on, I’ll see how I will like it on the long run, but I think I’ll invest in a full bottle with time.

I love this fragrance from the first sniff. It's aquatic, fruity spicy and fresh.Deep in back round,I recognise Naomi Campbell from 1999. I will not compare vents et marees with Naomi,but it has that vibe.Beautiful summer fragrance, addictive, fresh and sensual.
