Bluebell & Wild Strawberry

absolutely love! I read all the reviews on here and was incredibly excited to try it. It is a fresh, crisp bluebell, with more of the wild strawberry on paper than on my skin - it’s there but it’s more of a general greenness that you can smell, much more wild strawberry than strawberry so I wouldn’t call this fruity. The bergamot is really lovely, I don't get much of the blackberry but it makes the whole fragrance smell very well rounded and soft in a way. The dry down is slightly warm and the woodiness is sweet. Will be wearing every spring.

I got a little travel size of this as I absolutely adore a good bluebell perfume, ever since I fell in love with (and sadly never bought and now it's discontinued 😭💔) Boadicea the Victorious' Delicate. Delicate was so green, floral and not just PRETTY but ethereal -- but it was just sadly out of my price range. I find bluebell to be such a quintessentially British smell, so charming, innocent and fairy like. Bluebell and Wild Strawberry captures this essence and is indeed delicate, pretty and very British in spirit, but....having smelled Delicate, this falls a bit short of the mark for me. That one had green and grassy notes which captured not just the florals but the meadow in which they grew, and therein lied the magic for me (again - how I kick myself now for not having splurged on it!). However, I don't mean to sell this one short - it IS super pretty, very wearable with moderate sillage, 100% office appropriate and very nicely done, and if you love delicate florals, this is a very safe blind buy! For me, it just doesn't excite me enough to consider a larger size. Boadicea's Delicate had a quirkiness this one is missing and remains my benchmark bluebell. Whereas Delicate leaned more 'Alice in Wonderland', Molton' Brown's bluebell offering is more prim and proper, buttoned-up Downton Abbey - like ;-) It's perfectly nice, it's just not the bluebell for me.

It smells exactly as I expected it to smell. With some blackberries, with that probably bluebell. At one point I wanted to buy Stella McCartney's Pop Bluebell blind, but the performance ratings stopped me. I think this Molton Brown is a more potent Pop. It has a woody ambery base, very pleasant. It is resilient, it deserves the name of the niche, the price is still a bit high. Like!

I bought the full bottle fully expecting to be in love with this fragrance. I thought it would somehow be akin to their “Delicious Rhubarb & Rose” fragrance which I’m absolutely obsessed with. I surely wish it was more similar but alas, “Bluebell & Wild Strawberry” is all bluebell, driftwood & woody tones to me. There is strawberry somewhere far away in the background, but it unfortunately gets drowned out by the stronger notes. This is quite more full-bodied & loud than I had expected also. The projection is easily over 6ft & the longevity is decent. I kept searching & hoping for that strawberry & blackberry to come forward but they stayed disappointingly faint. The bluebell & driftwood stay the star of the show the whole way through. I pick up the bergamot, tuberose & lily of the valley as well, which are all very lovely. I just wish the strong floral & loud woody tones could have been balanced out more by some subtly sweet strawberry & blackberry. I still love this brand for their consistently great quality, but I would say this isn’t a safe blind buy. And if you were hoping for more fruit with your floral, I would definitely recommend sampling Rhubarb & Rose if you haven’t already. I give this fragrance 3 out of 5 stars & I will still try to find a way to wear this occasionally.

Woody, green, slightly fresh notes in the opening. I knew that this wouldn’t be a fruity scent like the strawberry in the name would imply as I read some reviews and it sounded even better since I’m not very partial to fruity fragrances. However, I found that the scent is quickly weighed down by the amber in the base notes. It loses all of its appeal as a woody dewy green fragrance and becomes this mesh of cloying amber and tuberose. I thought this would be a good warmer weather scent but it’s become a little nauseating, maybe I’ll just have to revisit in autumn.. for now it’s just not living up to what I was hoping for..

Blind buy. I wanted to love it. This is a lot heavier than I expected. The top notes and woody notes are nice but is it the amber that’s too heavy?! Too musky and a bit sour swamping the top and middle notes?!

sooo... this was my first real blind buy of a frag, i was lookin thru the perfumers work and saw this had been a recent release and after lookin thru the notes n on ebay, found a full bottle for a great deal!!! i am very happy with this fragrance for the price i got it at, i want to mention that off the bat, like $80 for a full bottle good lol. now, i dont know if i would pay retail (i almost never pay full price if i can anyways, #ILoveCouponsMoreThanLifeItself ) for this but this is an Absolutely LOVELY smell at the INSANE Price i got it at... this is a gorgeous multifaceted scent in all the right ways for the notes and ideas it boasts. i love the different parts of a grassy lush forest that each layer of this scent has, the berries are not there to make this a fruity floral fresh fun smell, it adds depth to the green! it for sure is there for sweetness and plays swimmingly w the dry down of the amber and woodiness... i Love Bluebells, my favorite flower i think to be honest. so that really drove me to buy this scent. blackberry, lilyofthevalley, driftwood, tuberose, wild strawberry.... this is overall a gorgeous woody scent at its heart but the bluebell and wild strawberry are very mych so present. idk if this will be a birthday scent but this scent does make me think of all the beautiful summers ive spent outside, and like another reviewer said, there is something mildly nostalgic and a tad melancholic about it. it is still very much a perfume but it is much more than what i think ppl give it credit for. im so glad i took a chance on this scent, it got stuck in a mail processing center for two weeks, i was freaking out man... i feel it wafts a bit fast on my skin but for the gorgeous depth and story and everything this scent tells, i love it. and honestly, like i said, for the price i got it at and it buying a total blind buy, ive been ecstatic. wish i heard more hype about them before, excited to try more of their work but as always veronique nyberg kills it

Whether you like this depends on what you expect. If you want a bright floral for your workdays, go on. There is nothing for you here. But if you want to feel something, something poetic, something new, you might just be at the right place ................................................... This is a soliflore bluebell. Mostly realistic, maybe a tad soapy. Mostly reminiscent of a wet spring field of flowers on a cold, sad day. Maybe a funeral. Maybe introspection after heartbreak. Who knows? But there is emotion in here, and that itself is worthy and rare. There is something deeply somber about this scent. I admire that. Greatly. Onto the scent. First off, the first spray is amazing. The florals are very gentle and realistic. I would think there almost was a violet hidden in here somewhere - but I suppose this is bluebell. The strawberries are barely noticable, and they are moreso the wild acidic kind rather than the red, juicy ones. The tuberose is present, but really minimally, you'd have to know it's there to find it. The predominant note is bluebell - which apparently, smells similarly to camelia for me. There is also an interesting thing I'd like to note - there is a shadow of carrot root, fig or maybe tomato leaf in the base - an earthy, green, powdery note. You will barely notice it - but it is there. It will never be dominant by any means, but it will support the scent, the same way the ground under your feet supports you. .................................... I reccomend to enjoy this with an open heart. There is a beautiful melody to be heard in here, if only you care to stop when you have time to do so, and just listen. Congrats to the perfumer, I appreciate your work here.

***NOT A REVIEW*** I absolutely love this brand, they have quite a few fragrances that are my style (rather understated or even simplistic) and this one sounds incredible. I adore bluebells as flowers and as a note in perfumery, and I will always be interested in fragrances that feature less utilized floral notes such as clovers, tulips, lilacs, hydrangeas, cherry blossoms, pansies, gladiolas, morning glories, birds of paradise, or even tiger lilies. Funnily enough, poppy is my favorite floral note, even though they're known to have little to no fragrance in nature, let alone are able to be distilled for perfumery, but whatever chemicals they use to make a poppy accord always lends a hazy/powdery/raspberry-tinged/peony/rose note to a composition that I am obsessed with. But I digress. In terms of this one, I’ll be interested to see if I can actually pick up a discernible bluebell note, or if it will be buried under a nondescript lily of the valley or an often bombastic tuberose. We shall see. But either way, top off those florals with fruity notes (bonus interest points for the use of a tart berry) and slap in on some rustic teak/cool driftwood notes and I’m sold. Don’t let me down, Molton Brown!

MBTI: unmistakable INFP Vibe: Arwen from LotR in a field when contemplating whether to go with her father to the the Undying Lands or to go with Aragorn and forsake her immortality for him A perfect fragrance to wear with a white dress while walking barefoot in the fields on a cloudy spring day. Nice and smooth on the skin, slightly floral and subtly fresh. Showered. The opening is juicy and slightly sweet, like biting into a strawberry that has't ripened fully. It's so nice and innocent, with an air of dignity and solemn monologue. Makes me feel like an elf from Lord of the Rings.

Absolutely adore this fragrance, there's simply nothing like it. It is fresh and aquatic, floral and fruit, strong yet subtle. The aroma is beyond description, it will leave you wanting more and those around you too. Ultra feminine in my opinion, its a big love from me. I think this would work well in all seasons. Too nice for the office, too special for daysear or shopping. Perfect for romantic occasions, posh events, and fun nights out. I will be buying this.

I was hoping for this to be even more green than it is, but all things considered this is impossible not to enjoy. This is a green, sweet, slighty fruity floral, but in no way does it fit in the realm of a designer fruity floral. The driftwood adds a depth of woodiness and the geranium and coriander add a touch of greeness that really helps to add depth and layers so it stands out from all the other fruity florals.

this would be so perfect without the amber note in the drydown. the bluebell is done perfectly, and the strawberry is actually realistic rather than the usual artificial chapstick scent. however i noticed after a few mins the nauseating cloying note and my heart sank. really wish brands would stop using amber in fragrances bc it always smells like thick burning plastic, and is so headache inducing

The opening is amazing. Smells so much like the bluebell woods that I used to visit as a child that it makes me homesick. I love it on a rainy day. Its so natural and smells like a genuine green bluebell woods on a rainy day at first. I dont really love the amber in the drydown which spoils it a little and keep respraying to get the amazing top notes. A woodland nymph would smell like this.

This is beautiful, smells like nothing else I have currently. I was surprised to see the woody note listed as I just smell stunning fresh berry’s with a green & marine undertone. Perfectly balanced in my opinion, had to buy it immediately.
