Bushukan Eau de Parfum

Highlighting the rare soft spicy component today, 2025/05/20. Alas Bushukan is not currently in the MB camp offerings. Thank God I stocked up ⬆️ when the opportunity presented itself, for the Lord God Jehovah is in His holy temple. Let all the earth 🌍 keep silence before Him. But I must say having a talc in Bushukan would be beyond the bees knees and set things buzzing. GORK!

I regard this parfum as more of a state of mind; it is intense, strong, but no loud! On me, it does not project and more intimate. I like that because I like to smell good, but I don’t need/want everybody enjoying my intimacy. I like to move just close enough to whom I choose and then see if they “want in”! If they do, then perhaps we have a deal! Love 💗 me some me 👄🥰🥰🥰

On me, Bushukan offers something very new for me, hazelnut and pink pepper, both very exotic and offering a new take on “sexy”! Bushukan appeals to me on several levels each offering me incredible opportunities to be both unique and selective. I like its understated aroma and ethereal appeal — a winner! MOJ

Spent the day in town on a mission to find the ultimate citrus scent. I thought I had found it in this, from my 30 or so tester strips that I collected in my perfume pad. I sat down and reflected on them over a crepe and a coffee and this was the one that stood out from the rest. Citrus frags have a tendency to be one-dimensional with poor performance. But this one was like a citrus powerhouse, sharp and fresh, like the other notes in there were just being turned into fuel to make those citrus notes really glow in the limelight. I was so mesmerised I just had to go and spray this on my person. Never thought I would say this about a citrus freshie, but this fragrance is quite strong, thick and gloopy, the kind of quality you would typically find in many Vanilla, Tonka and Oud fragrances on the market. But then again, that’s what attracted me to this fragrance; my mission to find a high-performing citrus fragrance. This citrus fragrance isn’t fresh and juicy like you would expect a summer citrus fragrance to be like. This one is like dried, candied citrus rind, the kind you find in a Christmas Pudding. I was slightly disappointed by this because I realised that in my mission to hunt down the ultimate citrus fragrance, I was really looking for a scent that reminded me of summer, not winter. Nonetheless, I must praise this for what it is, not criticise it for what I hoped it would be. It’s still an impressive fragrance and I know many in the fragrance community wish to one day find a citrus fragrance without the usual poor longevity/sillage. If you are that person, I implore you to seek this fragrance out and give it a try. 6/10

Enjoyable citrus fragrance, quite woody and less fresh than the others of its genre. Masculine and suitable for all occasions. Quite good actually, but significantly different from the corresponding shampoo. Rumor has it, it is likely to be discontinued. 7.5/10
