Dewy Lily of the Valley & Star Anise

This perfume has single handedly changed my mind on Lily-of-the-valley notes. This is so fresh and green it immediately takes me to spring. There is an lightly indolic whisper behind green tea that I absolutely love. Its clean and refreshing. I compared this side by side to Penhaligon's Lily of the valley fragrance and this was hands down the winner. It was much more uplifting and fresh, consistently through whereas Penhaligon's was more musty and weighty on the dry down. Longevity is forever and sillage is moderate. Molton Brown is impressing me!

Gorgeous. The only lily fragrance I have found that I can enjoy. Light from start to finish. Actual lily flowers give me a contact allergy so this is the only way I can enjoy them.

Perfect summer and late spring fragrance. Lily of the valley is not so cloying, like it can be. It's a mysterious, fresh scent. It's not a copy of anything, and doesn't pretend to be anything else. I normally don't like star anise, here it's well blended and just works together. I have been gifted it, and shocked when I checked the price. I didn't know Molton Brown is so expensive, as their bath products look just like other stores bottles. But this fragrance is worth it's price. It's long lasting, with good projection, but it doesn't have this wow factor.

This is a perfect lotv scent! The ylang comes in quickly making the scent stronger and more long lasting than most spring green florals. Also adds a hint of sweetness that reminds me of lotv in nature, the little white bells are slightly sweet and so many lotv scents forget that,and can come off intensely green and sharp. Not this! Fresh, feminine,perfect for spring!

This sounded as if it would be the perfect scent for me, but I was disappointed. It's an unusual fragrance, but it just doesn't smell very good to me. I love anise, lily of the valley and peony, but I don't smell these favorites of mine in this perfume. There is an "oily" smell to the perfume that I don't recognize or like. It's just not for me.

Dewy Lily of the Valley & Star Anise by Molton Brown very much lives up to its name! Dewy lily of the valley and fresh peony top notes that slowly mellow to a softly spicy star anise and tea leaves. The mandarin offers a pleasant citrus freshness through the life of the fragrance, but over all I would say that this is very green and floral. It is very pleasant and I enjoy wearing it!
