Fiery Pink Pepper Eau de Parfum

This is a glorious enigma. I have had this for a few years and haven't reviewed it because I can't pin it down. It's kind of like a mirage or a cloud. You can see it but can't poke through to the center. Perhaps it's because I cannot yet recognize osmanthus, lily of the valley, labdanum, or oakmoss, but I can't really describe it in nouns (besides "pink pepper"). I can almost spot a tangerine rind, but I can only confidently say juicy, fresh, spicy, crisp, minty, warm, dark, aromatic, musky, and woody. I can't pull out the jasmine or patchouli and wouldn't say "floral". Sometimes it is light and transparent and sometimes is it deep and sexy. It's both naturalistic and genteel; this works on a hike and at the opera. But because I can't identify a "center," this perfume never bothers and always pleases me. I suppose it's a true chypre/cologne in that it's complex aromatic splash. This was the second perfume I ever purchased, (a miraculously lucky blind buy) so at first it felt very strong, but I think I was just a bit self-conscious about wearing perfume. In reality, it starts powerfully but the whole pyramid seems to fade into the background/become one with me rather quickly. I don't know if that's transience or anosmia. I spritz the shoulders of my clothes if I'm "going out" and that works well. You can smell it on the leather of my headphones from when I used to spray behind my ears and the way it sinks into leather is absolutely intoxicating. If someone wore this with a leather jacket, they would be invincible. It's probably squarely unisex (but it really enhances my sense of femininity). It gives me everything I need to feel genuinely confident: clean and refreshing yet mysterious and sensual.

Love it! Perfect for days when I don't want to feel "perfumed" or "dressed up". Quite animalic but not sickly, the pepper note really is fiery! All others are sort of blended in the background and hard to unpick. Definitely one that works well close to skin. Bought this in November and wore throughout the winter, and the scent felt cozy. Now decided to try it out in a July heatwave and it played out so nicely, musky notes being more prominent and overall sillage and longevity performance is better in the warm weather.

I am a crazy fan of pink pepper, so when I read the name of this scent from a brand I respect, I had to get a travel size of it. I find the opening very nice, and very heavy on the pepper note! I even had to stop smelling my arm wrists, because it made me sneeze. But I love it. That’s exactly what I wanted from the scent. The opening gave me the necessary push and slap on the face I need in the morning to start my working day. Afterwards the scent was present throughout my day, following me like a bubble. I found it to project way more than I expected. 4 sprays was too much for me. The scent evolution was nice, but a bit too general. It goes from the pepper overload to a nice floral, and then to a musky-floral situation. I used to wear a lot this floral musk combination, so it feels very familiar to me. It works well for office settings, but it’s nothing too fancy, intellectual or interesting. It’s a very familiar, comfortable floral musk with an overdose of pepper. I love the opening, but I find the dry down only ok. But my skin tends to turn everything towards the sweet side. It is possible that on someone else the cedar and patchouli would show more strongly, which unfortunately didn’t happen to me.

I'm surprised by this. In a good way! Opening is fresh and very peppery, but it doesn't last very long. What you are left with is actually a beautiful, feminine, fluffy scent that is slightly soapy. It is a lot more musky than I expected. Musk can ruin any good perfume for me, but I forgive Fiery Pepper as it's done beautifully here. I've been reaching for it a lot lately, and it's perfect for the spring weather. It really is an all-rounder scent that can be worn any time, any place. Highly recommend! Edit: I wore this to my nephews bd party and a baby boy looked afraid of me. Kids usually love me, so I turned to my sister and asked what on earth was going on. "Maybe it's your perfume!" she said, "it's very strong!". Oh dang, a perfume so monsterous it scares babies? No thanks, haven't worn it since. Not only because of the scared baby, lol, but because I grew tired of it and it quickly became annoying to me. Oh well, you win some and you lose some! I still think it's nice, but I don't reach for it and alas, it's not a keeper.

The tangerine and pepper opening is a really pleasant mix. The ginger and nutmeg are there but are quietly present. I get florals for the middle notes but they feel blended so well that I don't really smell one over the other. The base notes are all clearly present as well. This feels like a masculine scent more than a unisex one to me. The pepperyness in this feels so different than other pepper-centric scents I've smelled. Like a sweet pepperyness. I have this as a EDP but I think this would be amazing as a body wash. Overall very pleasantly surprised by this one.

When I first tried it, I didn't like it. I got pepper, wood shavings, powder and florals. However, my second wearing is great. I'm getting more tangerine along with the piquant red spice juxtaposed with a osmanthus, cedar wood fixitive, evernyl (oakmoss) labdanum, musk, and a bit of patch. This is why I like to test fragrances more than once and ideally, many times, because first impressions are not always accurate. I'm going to keep testing for week and give it a score.

Fresh and spicy..and floral.....and girly. It is nice, but I cannot wear it. Not that I care though. 7/10

Similar to Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche (green) to me. I like that one a lot!

I have previously reviewed this and was a tad harsh. Trying it again, my complaint of a slightly urinic vibe is wrong. It has a pleasant peppery opening ala pink which morphs too quickly into a very soft floral with a teeny bit of pepper and musk. Pleasant but my complaint is the opening that is decent and appealing disappears far too quick and the volume out put is way under par for an EDP at that price.

I find this a tad urinic - pink pepper in oil. Not pleasant for me - shame as the other scents in this range are awesome.

It smells elegant but just kinda boring...all year fragrance not a doubt.

She/He is a strong person, likes strong scents that are also fresh. They like to make an entrance and like to call attention when walking by. If a she, she likes less femenine and more masculine scents. But the person is linear, it lacks mystery and abstraction, it's a "one note" thing... it turns boring and actually bothersome as the "pepper" remains as the only distinct aroma like a sharp knife not in a good way. This became annoying to me, nauseating kind of, I would be careful where and how much much to spray!!!! Inside a car this is likely to give someone nausea if the person wears too much. Would NOT wear this in an office unless you spray one time Rating 3/10 for wearing 7/10 for aromatherapy candles, etc I think Molton Brown does hand creams and hand washes, I would like this for aromatheraphy but not as a perfume/cologne. As a stand alone, candle smell or other home aroma its much better, it's quite sophisticated elegant and linear is fine.

A very classy fragrance like the majority of the Molton Brown collection. To me this is for someone 30+ . Definitely not an old person fragrance but I see it as a modern classic. The pink pepper is unmistakably the star of the show . But it's not like most spicy pink peppers out there, this one leans on the floral side of the note . With the white floral mid notes it gets a slight potpourri smell. Like a spiced white floral potpourri. With that you get the nectarine as if it were lightly dusted with nutmeg and very light ginger. It's not overly spiced as it may sound . The mid notes are all present with the florals totally tied in with the pink pepper. The base I do get light patchouli which mingles well with the potpourri vibe and adds the green in that. A bit of the musk and some cedar to round it all out . While I can't single out the moss I can kind of see where it would play a part and bring earthiness to the top notes along side the patchouli. Now this isn't straight up potpourri. But to me it gives the vibe. This reminds me of bath and body works nocturnal rose except that one goes the rose floral side . The nectarine and fresh spices make this much more complex and likeable. This is more of a date night, dark vibes, mysterious, gentlemen fragrance. It has a bit of a go this vibe to it. It's a bit too much for summer but the rest of the year is fine. If you are looking for something different this is perfect . So personally I prefer the body lotion from this line . It surprisingly lasts and it hold the top notes a lot longer. The Parfum lasts a good 6 to 7 hours . Projects for a good 4 . The fragrance settles to the base after about 45 minutes. The lotion last about 6 hours very close to the skin but the top notes are there for at least 4 hours. I'm giving this a solid 6.5/10 . I'm impressed. I don't like dry floral scents but this one has plenty going on . If the nectarine were stronger this would be sooooo good

I am absolutely obsessed with this perfume. I'm not a huge girly fragrance lover, I'm more into unisex fragrances but this is a feminine perfume I can get around. The opening really is fiery on the pink pepper, but there is a sweetness to it that makes it not sharp and offensive. As it develops white floral come out and that made me nervous because I don't like white floral fragrances, but then that disappears and it smells like the opening, just softer. The reviews on this say it doesn't last long but on me it lasts all day and I'm a tough critic when it comes to longevity. Although completely different fragrances I have a feeling that those who love the pink pepper in Glossier You would really enjoy this fragrence. I genuinely don't know how this isn't a more talked about well known fragrence, it deserves more hype.

Fiery Pink Pepper from Molton Brown opens with so much promise, a zesty dust storm of dry citrus peel and pith, ginger’s tangy effervescent spice, and some underlying rosy-peppery woody notes. It rapidly becomes a somewhat predictable smelling woody cologne that is somehow also aquatic, but both aspects are equally lackluster. It’s that bubbly, vivacious new acquaintance that when you get to know them, you realize that they don’t actually have any interests or passions and they don’t have much of an internal life. Fun for a very short time, but it’s no one you are ever going to have a deep or lasting connection with. This fragrance is the essence of that person--what little essence they might have, anyway-- distilled and bottled.

Found the shower gel for $8.99 at Burlington today. They only had 2 of them which I snatched up quicker than you could say, "Bob's your uncle." I used to buy MB shower gels back in the day as an employee in a luxury department store. The shower gels are worth it, they scent your skin for HOURS. I am not sure if the spiciness of this will work for the Florida heat right now, but I will definitely enjoy them come fall. Fiery Pink Pepper indeed has a fiery kick to it. 100% genderless

Due to the fact that pink pepper is one of my favorite notes, I test it where and with what I get it.😍 Fiery Pink pepper? I mean, lit, burning? Nope, rather Cool Pink peper. Molton Brown took a lot of inspiration from the mainstream, more precisely from the Lancome portfolio. This hot pepper is a niche Miracle. With the price of niche. But which is almost a copy of the unreformulated Miracle. I like it pleasantly, because I also like Miracle... In principle, not that much.

Love this perfume, it’s currently my main scent for work etc. It’s peppery and musky but very fresh, I love it after a shower. But you could wear it going out on an evening also. It’s an all rounder. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t last long! Around two hours at work it disappears

I have this in the body wash and love it for that peppery jolt!! Not sure if I could wear it all day, so just the wash is nice.

I think my issue is? It just stays the same? I think I would like the lotion and washes line
