Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold Eau de Parfum

I absolutely love this fragrance. I currently shower after swimming with the shower gel and I also use the body lotion. The perfume opens a little citrusy with spice notes like cardamom and even cloves. Then it mellows down to a silky smooth milky tobacco with woody undertone. So delicious, sweet but not too sweet, a very well balanced fragrance that makes you want to keep sniffing it. A tame oud fragrance but beautiful and exerts confidence at the same time. So so delicious!

I sampled this a month ago and really enjoyed it and went again to sample it yesterday just to double check. The opening isn’t for me. Though once it dries down, it just smells sophisticated, bright yet formal. The scent is eternal on me. I like the bottle too, simple, yet elegant. *edit* This was in a sale at 30% off. I had to get it. I don’t think the girl at the perfumery likes the opening much either as she complemented the bottle being pretty.

This feels like an uncomplicated, office-friendly, less smokey cousin to Interlude Man. It has an addictive Oregano note (which must be the Davana and black pepper?) Molton Brown fragrances get a lot of shade for some reason, but I'm not sure why... they have some really pleasant and interesting niche releases, and the bottles are beautiful! BTW, the Molton Brown website lists the perfumer as Sylvie Fischer, not Philippe Bousseton.

sprayed this in the car and my mom asked 'is that old spice?' anyways i think this was quite nice and warm and spicy; i felt i should be a haggard oxbridge professor sitting by a fireplace in a candle-lit room, marking essays and sighing loudly. maybe more suited to an older guy than myself but still lovely and cozy, would maybe buy again
