Re-charge Black Pepper Eau de Parfum

One of my favorites as far as anything that comes from London. I wish it lasted forever. It is on the drydown where this fragrance made me fall in love with it, which seldom happens. IDK what I am smelling, but it reminds me of a scent they pump into the pirates of the Caribbean ride: cinnamon, cloves, and charred wood. Which I simply adore, and it's my favorite scent profile. I love this bottle, I just wish it were easy to find at a discount. I'll be waiting again for Black Friday this year to buy another bottle from Molten Brown.

Just sampled this at Saks Fifth Ave. I already have the EDT and this is just an amped up EDP version. Both are wonderful. Good black pepper presence with a light, powdery twist making it sophisticated. UPDATE: There are some additional notes added to the EDP which are quite pleasant. This fragrance is really unique and special. Pepper? It's there. Leather? It's there too. Overall, I like this scent's sophisticated twist on traditional black pepper; scored a bottle of EDP and am very happy!

This is a spicy but fresh clean scent- very bombastic for the first 15 mins and if im honest I don't get many of the different notes coming through after it has been on 30mins but that's not a problem for me- actually its a big plus because I really love the essence of this scent. current pricing is about 130 pounds in the UK but can be found for 90 pounds through third parties. At 90 its Good value at 140 its getting close to niche without the performance to back it up...

This would be perfect if you're looking for a signiture scent, its such a versitile scent, you could wear day or night and any season. It has a freshness from the pepper and pimento but there is also an addictive intoxicating amber note that gives it beautiful warmth. So far I've been wearing this for about 4 hours and the scent is still lingering around which is a tick in my books, would definitely recommend this perfume. it's a banger.

Instantly loved this one. It opens spicy and fresh, very pepper heavy. On the dry down however it balances out into more woody/floral note, whilst still having the pepper there. My only complaint is that I wish it had better longevity and sillage on my skin, but I'll let it off because if how good it smells.

Fresh and spicy (black pepper). Absolutely stunning fragrance. If you like the black pepper body wash you'll love this. Smells just like it. To my nose, it was very similar to the edt with just a slightly heavier tone. I'm addicted to this scent profile.

It's very fresh spa like on me. Starts with a heavy pepper amber leathery bite and smoothly flows to moss, lavender, and citrus throughout the day. It's not announcing itself in a screamy way, more in an inviting and sophisticated one. Loved it

I'm back again. Folks, this is a VERY pleasant fragrance and worthy of way more than the 3.75 rating. Give it a spray. Sure, some will poo-poo it, but many others, I predict, will like it 4.00+.

Simply incredible, i do not have the words to express what it is that i smell, or how this makes me feel, i can only encourage you to experience this for yourself

An enjoyable pepper, pimento, cardonom, woody leather amber, with a fougère backbone. I've tried some of these MB creations in store (mostly the EDT's) but never spent much time with them until recently. What I've noticed is they're a built really well, perform well (some very well), and most smell niche, without being so wild that I can't wear them to work. The opening I'm hit with the black, pink, and red pepper immediately, but it's not sharp and won't make you sneeze. The cardamon follows and then I sense the bergamot and coriander. As it develops the amber and light leather surface and I also sense the fougre pieces of lavender, oakmoss, coumarin. I'm not getting much vetiver in my testings so far, and I sense a powder element. I honestly wish it didn't have any amber even though it's are not heavy, and turned up the other ingredients. Fresh modern barbershop-ish and added spice, with good performance for me. Works for every occasion. It is in the “uplifting” category for me, a space that perhaps many scents could have filled, but I went for a full bottle because I like the pepper kick’s way of making it stand out, feeling in need for an easy reach in a genre that is very crowded. There is a muted quality over several of Molton Browns scents in the EDP range that I really love and that sets it apart.

I bought this recently; lasts on clothes quite a while, average length on skin. Quite fresh in a realistic green sense, like I've been picking vegetables in a verdant garden. A bit capiscum-ish which i didn't notice when testing it, but quite apparent when I got it home. It's more bell pepper overall, rather than peppercorns in my opinion. I like the scent a fair bit, no regrets.

Really nice for Fall and spring. Fresh spicy and peppery opening. The spice carry the scent quite while. Then the scent turns more aromatic ands soapy. I enjoy the aromatic touch and also the little bit of sweetness which turns up later on. The base is mainly clean and woody with a slight amount of amber.

It's a nice, manly, bitter chypre with strong peppers juxtaposed with a hint of freshness from lavender. Old school but not dated, in the vein of Labdanum Dusk and Dark Leather.

I love Molton Browns bathing products. Absolute great value. Their perfumes however, are a mixed bag. This one is a weird one. Only because, the Pink Pepper perfume morphs into a floral and this one starts out promising but morphs too quickly into what the Pink Pepper should have been. The decent black pepper opening buoyed with oily bergamot quickly softens revealing a tad of soft lavender, a touch of pimento foe a hit and then into a musky weak pink pepper. It’s unchallenging and very overpriced with little performance for the price - I’m sticking to the bath products...

Longevity leaves something to be desired but the scent itself is great. I got this and the shower gel for Christmas and they both compliment each other nicely. The shower gel leaves a scent on your skin after getting out, then layering the perfume on top smells insane but again, like I said, the longevity makes it just not worth the price to buy yourself. As a gift, fantastic.

Oh my, where to start here... There is nothing about black pepper, its a complex combination fragrance though. It does linger a lot but comes short or does not deliver on its promise. It was a blind buy and I do regret it, I have ETD and I love it to wear in the summer, but this one goes to the bottom of the list. No more blind buys.

Another corker in this range. These scents are mostly uncomplicated but great performers. This is no exception, simple black pepper sweetened a teeny bit of Amber. Simple, nice, professional. Edit: Now I have had time to wear this properly again I sadly have to say I have a new opinion on this as per my more recent review above.

It's nice! A bit unique but flat with it. No one will turn their nose up at you but it's not a head turner either. Gives around three hours of projection then hangs on the skin for three or four more. Wouldn't buy it again as it's ridiculously over priced for what it is. 6/10

This reminds me of walking around Bed, Bath, & Beyond aisles... It's clean and soapy sweet with a sure undertone of black and pink peppers. It's sharp to the nose. Worth sampling, but I do not recommend blind buying.

Smells like a spice cupboard...

I could already predict I wouldn’t like Re-Charge Black Pepper, as it’s a note I famously don’t get along with; and unfortunately, this is just another addition to an already long list of dislikes in the black pepper realm. The black pepper isn’t photo-realistic, but it’s halfway there which is already too much for me. It’s slightly warm, very dry and outrageously scratchy - the fresh spiciness is simply too much for me when combined with the lavender and woods. The black pepper is the leading characteristic which is what makes it a big dislike from me. I’m hoping one day I’ll be able to find a black pepper scent I like, but this is far from what I’m looking for. This is far too scratchy and spiky for me personally.

I love Fiery Pink Pepper, but this didn't work for me. I found it too masculine and too bothersome with the pimiento (it reminds me of raw red bell pepper, which I struggle with in food). So I gave my sample to my boyfriend. He does not care about fragrance and says everything I have him try smells the same (which is hilarious because I'll give him wildly different fragrances and point out distinct, recognizable dominant notes like "lemon" or "smoke"). He said this was "the first one that maybe smells different" and I caught a brief flash of interest in his eyes. However, I also found this excessively savory on him and the pimiento kind of made him smell like a Paella or something. Lol.

Not my thing in honesty. Don't get a lot of pepper; projects well initially with a smooth and natural yet generic spicy masculine scent, but unfortunately there's a sweet vegetal feel to things, very reminiscent of carrot, which is a complete turn off to me. Sorry Molton Brown :((

Better than edt by a pinch. Nothing like the luxurious smelling soap. The folks at M&B can’t replicate the scent as a fragrance. Shame! Save the money.

I tried to like it and I could see why someone else would but the black pepper smell isn’t for me. Makes my nose tingle.

Too strong and empowering. I'd prefer if the scent is a little lighter.

Bought the small travel size. It was a true disappointment

I had a bunch of Molton Brown samples in my collection that I've mostly ignored. Mesmirising Oudh for example might be one of the most stinky awful things I've experienced in my life. This however is very my vibe. I love to layer it with TF Ebene Fume. I have nothing new to add really, but will say the spa vibes and sophistication mentioned throughout are accurate. If you don't like pepper fragrances you likely won't like this. Doesn't last too long, but while its there it is gorgeous.

Clean, brisk and sharp. Perfect for the winter weather; it cuts through the cold and projects well. The notes of black pepper and oakmoss are front and centre. This is not a sweet fragrance like most new releases, so this may be a good addition to your collection if you're looking for something a little different. My friend described it as smelling like a spa and she was spot on. The longevity and quality are outstanding but I don't recommend blind buying this. Sample first.

Black pepper? More like powdery amber with a dusting of white pepper. The sweet piquant opening is followed by a generic guy woody-amber drydown (yawn). I wonder if "re-charge" implies that I've purchased on credit one too many of these dull and clichéd designer scents?
