Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver Eau de Parfum

Saying this fragrance is similar to 'Clinique Happy for men' should be ILLEGAL. The only thing they have in common is the colour accents on the bottle. 'Clinique Happy for men' smells like weak, dirty soap. How can soap smell dirty? I have no f**king clue. Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver is a much more sophisticated fragrance that blends between base, heart and top notes really well. It has that pungent, almost gourmand smelling, top note of lime and orange with a floral background. The hints of woody tones moves it unisex. This composition is truly an amazing feat, and I am yet to find a suitable (and cheaper!) alternative to this masterpiece.

Great clementine opening, creamy slightly spicy citric mid phase drying down to a woody orange. Yes, there’s a dose of vetiver in there which lends a certain earthiness to the profile. Eight hours longevity with nice little personal scent bubble. The projection is actually quite solid and has a very clean quality to it. No off-notes for me. Packaging is excellent, as always with MB. Must look out for the creams and gels.

The dry-down is quite similar to Epic Adventure by Emper. That fizzy, fruity sherbet; salty and sweet. Colour is orange; I get none of the middle notes. Ideal as a summer fragrance. However I do find it too pricey for what it offers. Epic Adventure is about $20 and actually lasts longer than Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver. The Molton Brown EDP bottles are beautiful.

Absolutely lovely! The initial blast is a bit synthetic and industrial, but the after a couple of minutes a gorgeous dry down. Clean, natural, and complex. Lime/Orange meets moss and vetiver, creating a creamy, yet powdery base. I agree with the other reviewers - it is like a cleaned up Terre. Not revolutionary, but unique, subtle, and elegant.

I’m clearly a big fan of vetiver and this doesn’t disappoint. I definitely like vetiver with citrus notes. I love ex vetiver, Juliette has got a gun, for the same reason but the citrus in this is softer whereas ex vetiver has much more intense and tangy citrus notes. Which one I wear depends on my mood.
