Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver Eau de Parfum

Saying this fragrance is similar to 'Clinique Happy for men' should be ILLEGAL. The only thing they have in common is the colour accents on the bottle. 'Clinique Happy for men' smells like weak, dirty soap. How can soap smell dirty? I have no f**king clue. Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver is a much more sophisticated fragrance that blends between base, heart and top notes really well. It has that pungent, almost gourmand smelling, top note of lime and orange with a floral background. The hints of woody tones moves it unisex. This composition is truly an amazing feat, and I am yet to find a suitable (and cheaper!) alternative to this masterpiece.

Great clementine opening, creamy slightly spicy citric mid phase drying down to a woody orange. Yes, there’s a dose of vetiver in there which lends a certain earthiness to the profile. Eight hours longevity with nice little personal scent bubble. The projection is actually quite solid and has a very clean quality to it. No off-notes for me. Packaging is excellent, as always with MB. Must look out for the creams and gels.

The dry-down is quite similar to Epic Adventure by Emper. That fizzy, fruity sherbet; salty and sweet. Colour is orange; I get none of the middle notes. Ideal as a summer fragrance. However I do find it too pricey for what it offers. Epic Adventure is about $20 and actually lasts longer than Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver. The Molton Brown EDP bottles are beautiful.

Absolutely lovely! The initial blast is a bit synthetic and industrial, but the after a couple of minutes a gorgeous dry down. Clean, natural, and complex. Lime/Orange meets moss and vetiver, creating a creamy, yet powdery base. I agree with the other reviewers - it is like a cleaned up Terre. Not revolutionary, but unique, subtle, and elegant.

I’m clearly a big fan of vetiver and this doesn’t disappoint. I definitely like vetiver with citrus notes. I love ex vetiver, Juliette has got a gun, for the same reason but the citrus in this is softer whereas ex vetiver has much more intense and tangy citrus notes. Which one I wear depends on my mood.

I dare say anyone who has been wishing for a Clinique - Happy with better longevity (and better quality), should definitely give this one a try.

Bought a travel size for myself but immediately gave it to my brother. I do enjoy it but it smells masculine, like men shampoo. It starts off nicely with a zingy, fresh sweet citrus scent, like both the fruit and the peel combine. It does have some uniqueness, unlike the mainstream men perfumes like Chanel Bleu but likeable like Bleu. Very classic men perfume. It fades down to the mossy note listed, very prominent to my nose. Unisex at first but ends up smelling quite masculine (note that I usually prefer ultra feminine scents).

This is probably the most clearly masculine perfume I have come across. But not in a douchebag sort of way, just confidently masculine. It’s fresh and biting, but not in your face, though it is stronger than most. It smells very classic and citrusy, maybe not one for young lads. A really nice summery fragrance for guys. Performance is really good. I’m consistently impressed with Molton Brown perfumes. They aren’t cheap, but they are very well put together.

I sampled this in store and it really is an uplifting, vibrant, realistic citrus. It has strong Terre D’Hermes vibes to me (Eau Givree particularly) but swap the grapefruit for clementine and clean up the earthiness a little. A really good alternative to Terre but probably nothing new if you own any of the range.

For me it’s a refreshing mixture of zest citrusy, minty herbs and a touch of aquatic saltiness. The base is neutral and mostly woody, but I still feel that it’s slightly leaning towards masculine scents. I would like it to be a touch sweeter. But it still seems like a nice (and powerful!!!) citrusy scent.

I tried this perfume, and my impression is fairly neutral. As the name suggests, it smells exactly like a clementine—nothing more, nothing less. I’m neither impressed nor disappointed, but I did expect a little more from it.

Nothing from the discovery kit I got particularly wowed me, especially for the price of a full bottle of this stuff. Out of all of them this one is my favorite. Good citrusy scent that has decent longevity and sillage.

Unisex but the vetiver gives slightly masc vibes. It’s very bright, fresh, uplifting. Nothing groundbreaking but sometimes an effortless citrus is perfect on a warm day. Good for blind buy and gifting.

a bit subtle but a very realistic orange flesh smell, super pleasant but not interesting or grabbing.

On the initial spray I got a huge whiff of a stereotypical men's cologne but after a while strangely enough, maybe it's me going noseblind but the clementine starts to unveil itself. It still has the cologne smell in the background though. I wouldn't buy this for a guy as it has zero wow-factor to me unfortunately

Is this what Terre d'Hermes was supposed to be? Usually I'm not overly enthusiastic about citruses, but the vetiver in here pulled me in, and I am enthusiastic to announce that I enjoy it quite a bit on paper. It's really beautiful - the orange/clementine note is very apparent and beautifully supported by a crystal clear vetiver. The base is pleasant and earthly and powdery, but the agrumes and the freshness of vetiver prevail. The nicest part is that it comes across absolutely natural - no shades of cleaning chemicals or anything like that. Terre d'Hermes could never. I will mention it's quite surprisingly strong and dominant for a vetiver-citrus. Still, it's a beautiful glass of orange liqueur on me.

I just recently got this and it's a really lovely fragrence. The clementine in the opening is so good and has such a summer freshness about it, in the opening you can also smell the woods and vetiver but the Clementine is the star of show. As the fragrence develops and dries down the woods, vetiver and moss come out more and the clementine although still there starts to take a bit of back seat, there is also a bit of a aftershave vibe that comes out which is why I think a lot of people say this is more masculine leaning, as a female I still will confidently wear this but that's as someone who is drawn to more unisex and even slightly masculine fragrences.

The smell of a men's locker room in a gym. Nothing new, nothing interesting. Sounds linear and very cheap. According to my memories, it is no different from Essential Perfumes - Orange x Santal and dozens (if not hundreds) of other cosmetics for men
