Tea Ceremony

This is the first matcha fragrance I have actually enjoyed. Well, I don't just enjoy it, I completely love it?! I think the reason why I love it so much is because it's so simple, yet so interesting. It feels calm and grounded with an earthy, kind of damp, steamy tea scent. It really captures the feeling of matcha in the right, traditional way, in my opinion. Nothing in this fragrance is sweet or sugary, like many matcha perfumes tend to be. Instead, it opens crisp, green and airy, and develops into a smooth, clean, sophisticated and spa-like scent. It's just so relaxing and comforting, but I also find it really luxurious. Tea Ceremony really isn't like any other tea perfume I've tried in a while! If you appreciate earthy fragrances, tend to like tea perfumes, and looking for a new easy-reach that is unique; try this one!

Purchased a 10 mL and quickly fell in love with it. This beautiful tea fragrance feels both grounding and uplifting. The tea note takes center stage, supported by soft green and earthy nuances that create a calming, meditative atmosphere - balancing freshness, greenery, and comfort with effortless elegance. I gifted it to my daughter, who loved it just as much as I did. She gravitates toward tea-forward fragrances, and the green, earthy character immediately resonated with her. Tea Ceremony feels less like a perfume and more like a ritual in a bottle, a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and appreciate life’s quieter moments. A lovely choice for anyone who appreciates serene, nature-inspired scents.

a beautiful earthy tea + matcha + rose scent, with a pop of fruitiness from the pear. it definitely smells more like green tea than matcha, but the matcha is definitely there. it's really complex and relaxing, and completely unisex too! definitely one of my favourite tea scents ❤️ p.s. the shower gel smells nothing like the perfume, so please stop comparing it to that! the shower gel smells like a generic masculine shower gel, with a hint of the fragrance... definitely not something you can judge the perfume on.

Herbal, umami, spicy. Smells like ceremonial grade matcha after the hot water has been poured over the powder. Fresh in a herbal, earthy sort of way. It's slightly sweet, but remains a true unisex. Can be oversprayed to increase sillage and lasting power.

If you enjoy spa-like or tea scents you will love this. Very calming and probably my new favorite tea fragrance!

Really nice and underrated its a calm meditative scent.

my matcha perfume search is on hold for now thanks to this.🍵 i can smell about 70% green tea and 30% matcha, which is a good result imo. i’d rather have my matcha be overpowered by fresh green tea than something sugary (which seems to be the case with many other matcha fragrances). i love that they carry an affordable 7.5ml version too.

I got the shower gel and it smells like aftershave and tea but mostly aftershave. As a shower product, it's a lovely scent but not as a perfume. My opinion might chance however, if I smell the eau de parfum as I've had deodorants before that can smell different from the perfume sprays

Didn't notice much of the pear. Upon first spray it smells almost exactly like Pukka's matcha and green tea bags. Quite a soothing fragrance. The tea notes wear off pretty quickly though. After about an hour and a half I'm left with mostly just woodiness.

Nice black tea perfume. Not fan of the price, but samples are really cheap, so here is that.

Green Tea, bitter. Good for all occasions, office, wjähatever. Not a hint of sweetness.

I couldn't get enough of this. And then, after an hour or so, it disappeared. It's unbelievably intoxicating. I'm not a big tea fan, but this really struck me and made me more interested in tea fragrances. If this lasted more than an hour on the skin, it would be an instant yes. It'll be a great buy for a spring/summer scent for someone who's not big on loud-smelling fragrances. It might also be a hidden winter gem, where I can imagine the notes cut through crisp air very well.

It's pleasant- fresh and green, maybe a little jasminey somewhere in there. The green tea is prominent. Fades into a soft woodiness. Initially projects at arms length but quickly becomes an intimate scent.

Loved the idea of this - but sort of just smells like aftershave, opening is pleasant and “spa like” but the dry down is very masculine to my nose and a little bit synthetic

Relaxing and earthy. I don't get much of the pear scent, but the matcha and tea notes are pleasant.

Molton brown keeps catfishing me with scents, its like they're made to smell nice just long enough that in the shop you think its a great scent then once it develops its always disappointing. This has a really bad sharp note that I think comes from a very synthetic amberwood accord. I've tried maybe 5 fragrances from the house now and I'm convinced their whole collection is of very poor quality. Its like the cars the dad sells in Matilda, just put together enough to trick you out of the showroom but breaks down on the highway. Possibly the worst tea scent I've ever tried. Nice enough top notes but disappointing and poorly put together dry down. I don't think I've found a single scent from them I'd actually consider buying.

I've never paid much attention to MB fragrances but they are definitely worth exploring. This is a truly masterfully crafted, uplifting fragrance that brings a calming Japanese ambiance. Incredibly soothing, distinct, and is sophisticated and clean-smelling. It's quite dry and earthy so might feel too herbal or green if you prefer sweet, fruity scents. Unisex, but possibly masculine leaning for some. Great longevity and sillage. and probably my favorite tea fragrance I've smelled...so far
