Suède de Suède

On my skin, there is strong leather opening, then an interlude that smells like MH Feuiles de Tabac , then turns creamy and white flower that lasts for hours, love it ! ............... my office mates love it too and asked me what was I wearing . This is a keeper !

Ugh, this is so great. I adore the combination of suede, cloudberries and strawberry leaf. So happy with this lighter and softer interpretation of leather, very impressed with its quality and execution. A leather with glow and shimmer.

I won a lab sample of this fragrance in a competition on their Instagram :) When I read that it contains cloudberries I got very curious to try it, since I absolutely love cloudberries and used to pick them when I was younger and my grandmother made jam from them. Mmm... So yummy! The fact that it contains suede and castoreum together with the cloudberries made me even more curious, since it sounds kind of strange! So what do I think of it now when I've tried it? It starts with castoreum, some pepper, suede and something cloudberry-ish that I don't think smells like actual cloudberries, but it has some kind of different berry vibe. I think that the osmanthus and strawberry leaf plays a part here as well... The suede is velvety smooth and kind of muffled in its scent and the castoreum is not at all as extreme as I thought it would be. Actually it's quite discreet and leathery and it fits perfectly together with the suede. After about an hour it is mainly the suede and the leathery castoreum that has the focus together with a woody scent that appeared now when the other notes settled down. It is alot softer and nicer than I thought it would be when I read the notes and I've got to say that my first impression after spraying it on was that I didn't really like it. But after a while it got more and more interresting... and now the second time I wear it I liked it from the very first second and I like it more and more all the time. It is so velvety smooth!

Mmm well! This is Clive Christian's leather. Right in the face. More lean with a plasticky, dusty and feminine hint. The sillage I get is very close to the skin from the very first minutes. Fruity notes are discreet, pleasant to wear and not too sweet.Well mixed. If you are a woman and like to steal C from your man's wardrobe. Buy blind you will be an independent woman!;-) On my skin the duration is eternal.

I agree with @Calvini 100%. There's a plasticky/cosmetic vibe I'm picking up. Similar concept to Dior Homme, but certainly not the same smell. I find this scent to be quite pleasant. Suede is there, but in a very synthetic, but still enjoyable way. I had pretty high hopes for this and it has fallen a bit short, but still a worthy entry into the catalog of a great perfume house.

Opens spicy, leathery, and pungent: castoreum and pepper are clearly prominent and it's quite exciting and a little dirty. The scent softens quickly though, as the osmanthus, musk, and cloudberries (? I think) set in. Suède de Suède becomes more fruity, more powdery, and more sweet. At that point I lose the leathery/suede element of this fragrance, especially in the late dry down, when it just reminds me of some old-fashioned dusty candies I would eat as a kid. So the start is promising - but if I want that to linger, I'll just turn to di Orio's Cuir.

As a leather lover I bought a sample with high hopes, but although nice, not for me. I have trouble finding several notes such as cloudberry and leather but instead get osmanthus and musk. A real meh.

This is a nice softer suede leather companion to Tom Ford Ombre Leather. High quality, expertly done. High perfumery. Its a shame Mona di Orio passed so young, and her brand is being terminated. Her artistic legacy needs to live on. A shame a conglomerate doesn't buy her brand and continue her artistic legacy.

It's fruity-green-floral with predominant rubbery leather (neither musky nor animalic to me); smells good but too sharp at times although it does soften later and becomes more milky and suede-like.

It smells like straight up boots the leatheriness is so strong and heavy but after 30 minutes Burt’s with an exotic sumptuous scent profile I can’t even describe...... very interesting this one
