Vanille

The name of this perfume is vanilla; So if you like the smell of pure vanilla or you like sweet perfumes; Just these two items; Do not go for this perfume; Because you will be disappointed. I really like sweet notes and I don't like the smell of clove! I bought this perfume by blind buy; only for many admire about Vanilla by Mona di Orio that I read about it. The beginning of the perfume is the dominant note of clove; and vanilla is present very little in the initial stage. It seems to exist in the lower layers and it is not a dominant note at all. Clove has a bad bitter smell in my opinion and for that reason I am not very fond of this note. But in the top note stage of the perfume; This bad bitterness note; seems to be covered by bitterness of orange peel. Of course, I should remind you that this bitterness of orange peel is only associated with the same bitterness of orange peel, and you will not get the smell of orange from it. In my opinion, this bitterness is only used to cover the unpleasant bitterness of cloves in the formula. This perfume is the rare perfumes that has a relatively long top note, and for half an hour you will only smell the described scent. After about half an hour, the middle note of the perfume starts and the vanilla moves from the lower layers to the top and the perfume a little be sweet; I emphasize that it is slightly sweet. Don't think that you are facing a sweet fragrance at this stage (something like A-Man by Mugler or Havane by Mugler), but a slightly sweet and soft smoky smell. At this stage, the fragrance becomes much more lovely. After 1.5 hours passed; The perfume reaches its final notes. At this stage, you will feel the accord, which is primarily tolu balsam, followed by vanilla, and thirdly by leather. I have essential oil of tolu balsam and after 2 hour; the dominant note become this substance. I think that the point of tolu balsam should be upper from now in this page, perhaps most of people don't have this essential oil and don't know what the scent of tolu balsam is. In this phase, the smell of perfume becomes even more pleasant. I mean, I can explain to you that from the beginning of the perfume spraying to the fade out of the entire scent, which is about 11 hours later, the aroma quality diagram of the perfume moves upwards with a 30-degree slope without interruption. The vanille by Mona di Orio is very beautiful and professionally formulated, and it goes from a slight bitterness to a gentle and lovely sweetness, and from a very light oud to a charming resinous and balsamic scent. The longevity of the perfume is very good and comfortable, at least 10-12 hours; But the perfume silage is quite average. This perfume is complex and is not simple and linear and has depth, as you can by smelling the place where you sprayed the perfume; Easily understand the stage of the perfume that shows itself (top note, middle note or base note). In general, the vanille by Mona di Orio is a perfume that, in my opinion, isn't for some people who are new to the world of perfumes; It is a little complex, heavy and mysterious, and they should use simpler perfumes so that they can gradually cope with the changes in the smell of this wonderful perfume. In addition, by just loving the vanilla note; If you want to buy this perfume; You have taken a big risk and you may be disappointed. But if you don't like clove note (like me), this perfume can reconcile you with clove note! اسم این عطر وانیل هست؛ بنابرین اگر شما از بوی وانیل خالص خوشتون میاد و یا عطرهای شیرین رو دوست دارید؛ به صرف این دو مورد؛ طرف این عطر نروید؛ چون ناامید میشوید من از نتهای شیرین خیلی خوشم میاد و برعکس از بوی میخک خوشم نمیاد این عطر رو هم به خاطر تعریف های مختلفی که ازش شده بود؛ بدون تجربه ی بویائی قبلی خریداری کردم شروع عطر با نت غالب میخک هست و وانیل خیلی خیلی کم در مرحله ی ابتدایی حضور دارد. انگار در لایه های زیرین وجود داره و اصلا نت غالب نیست. خود میخک یک بوی تلخ بدی از نظر من داره و من به این جهت خیلی به این نت علاقه ندارم. ولی در مرحله ی تاپ نت عطر؛ این تلخی بد میخک انگار از آن گرفته شده و تلخی که از نوع تلخی پوست پرتقال هست؛ جایگزین اون تلخی نامطبوع شده. البته باید یادآوری کنم که این تلخی پوست پرتقال فقط با همان تلخی پوست پرتقال همراه هست و بوی پرتقال رو از آن دریافت نخواهید کرد. صرفا این تلخی به خاطر پوشاندن تلخی نامطبوع میخک در فرمول استفاده شده این عطر به نظر من اولین عطری هست که تاپ نت نسبتا طولانی داره و تا نیم ساعت فقط رایحه ی شرح داده شده رو استشمام خواهید کرد بعد از حدود نیم ساعت نت میانی عطر شروع میشه و وانیل از اون لایه های پایین به سمت بالا حرکت میکنه و عطر رو کمی؛ تاکید میکنم کمی شیرین میکنه. اصلا فکر نکنید که در این مرحله با عطری شیرین روبرو هستید(چیزی مثل ای-من موگله و یا هاوانه از برند موگله) بلکه یک بوی کمی شیرین و ملیح به همراه یک بوی دودی بسیار مختصر و نرم به مشام میرسه. عطر در این مرحله خیلی دوست داشتنی تر میشه بعد از حدود 1.5 ساعت از شروع زدن عطر؛ عطر به سمت نتهای پایانی خودش میرسه در این مرحله شما آکوردی رو حس خواهید کرد که در درجه ی اول تولوبالسام و در درجه ی بعدی وانیل و در درجه ی سوم چرم هست. من اسانس خالص رزین تولو بالسام رو دارم. بوی رزینی و رمز آلودی داره. عطر در نت انتهاییش خیلی از نت تولو بالسام بهره برده و شاید علتی که اکثر افراد به آن در نمودار فراوانی عناصر رای ندادند؛ همین عدم آشنایی آنها با این نت هست که بنظرم از حدود ۲ ساعت به بعد خیلی در این عطر بارز هست. در این فاز هم بوی عطر بمراتب دلنوازتر میشه یعنی میتونم بهتون اینطوری توضیح بدم که از اول شروع اسپری عطر تا اتمام کل بوی عطر که حداقل۱۱ ساعت بعد هست، نمودار خوشبوئی عطر با شیب ۳۰ درجه و بدون وقفه به سمت بالا حرکت میکنه عطر وانیل بسیار زیبا و حرفه ای فرموله شده و از یک تلخی کم به یک شیرینی ملایم و دوست داشتنی و از یک عطر عودی خیلی ملایم به یک عطر رزینی و بالزامیک دلربا میرسه طول عمر عطر خیلی خوبه و راحت و حداقل ۱۲ - ۱۰ ساعت هست؛ ولی پخش عطر در حد کاملا متوسط هست و اصلا پخش بوی زیادی نداره این عطر؛ عطری بدون عمق و ساده و خطی نیست و دارای عمق هست؛‌بطوری که شما میتونید با بو کردن محلی که عطر رو پاشیده اید؛ به مرحله ای از عطر که خود نمایی میکنه(نت ابتدایی؛‌نت میانی و یا نت پایانی) به راحتی پی ببرید در مجموع عطر وانیل از برند نیش مونا دی اوریو عطری است که از نظر من برای افرادی که تازه با دنیای عطر آشنا شده اند؛ کمی پیچیده، سنگین و غیر قابل هضم است و باید عطرهای ساده تری رو استفاده کنند تا بتوانند کم کم با تغییرات بویائی این عطر معرکه کنار بیایند. در ضمن اینکه، با صرف دوست داشتن نت وانیلی؛ شما اگر بخواهید این عطر روبه صورت بدون تست بویایی خریداری کنید؛ ریسک بزرگی کرده اید و ممکن است نا امید شوید. ولی اگر از نت میخک خوشتان نمیاید ( مثل خودم ) این عطر میتواند شما را با نت میخک آشتی بده 这款香水的名字是香草;所以,如果您喜欢纯香草的味道,或者喜欢甜甜的香水;就这两项;不要购买这款香水;因为你会失望的。 我真的很喜欢甜味,不喜欢丁香味! 这款香水我是盲买的;我读了 Mona di Orio 的《香草》一书,只是因为许多人都崇拜它。 香水的开头主要以丁香味为主;在初始阶段,香草的含量非常少。它似乎存在于较低的层次,而且根本不是一个主导音符。在我看来,丁香有一种难闻的苦味,因此我不太喜欢这种香味。但在香水的前调阶段;这股难闻的苦味;仿佛被橘皮的苦味掩盖了。当然我要提醒大家的是,这种橘皮的苦味,只是和橘皮同样的苦味有关,并不会从中闻到橘子的味道。在我看来,这种苦味只是用来掩盖配方中丁香令人不快的苦味而已。 这款香水是罕见的前调较长的香水,半个小时之内你只会闻到所描述的香味。 约半小时后,香水的中调开始飘出,香草味由下层移至上层,香水变得有些甜美;我强调一下,它有点甜。不要以为此时你闻到的是一种甜美的香味(类似 Mugler 的 A-Man 或 Mugler 的 Havane),而是一种略带甜味和柔和的烟熏味。此时,香味变得更加迷人。 一个半小时过去后;香水达到了最后的香调。在此阶段,您会感受到一种和谐的感觉,主要为妥鲁香脂的味道,其次是香草味,第三是皮革味。我有妥鲁香脂精油,2 小时后;主导音调成为这种物质。我认为从现在开始在这个页面上吐鲁香脂的重点应该更高,也许大多数人没有这种精油,也不知道吐鲁香脂的气味是什么。在这个阶段,香水的味道会变得更加令人愉悦。 我的意思是我可以给你解释一下,从香水开始喷洒,到整个香味逐渐消散,也就是大概11个小时之后,香水的香气质量图是按30度的斜率不间断地向上移动的。 Mona di Orio 的香草非常美丽且经过专业配制,从轻微的苦味到温和可爱的甜味,从非常清淡的乌木香味到迷人的树脂和香脂香味。 香水的留香时间很好,很舒服,至少有10-12个小时;但香水的扩散度却很一般。 这款香水很复杂,不是简单线性的,而是有深度的,就像你闻到喷洒香水的地方一样;轻松了解香水展现的各个阶段(前调、中调或基调)。 总的来说,我认为 Mona di Orio 的香草味香水并不适合那些刚接触香水世界的人;它有点复杂,沉重而神秘,他们应该使用更简单的香水,这样他们才能逐渐适应这种奇妙香水气味的变化。 此外,只是喜欢香草味;如果您想购买这款香水;你已经冒了很大的风险,你可能会失望。但如果你不喜欢丁香味道(像我一样),这款香水可以让你与丁香味道和解!

Mona di Orio, a brilliant and much-missed perfumer. So many of us wonder what she might have come up with were she still around today. All of the creations that I've tried from this house (launched 2011 and before) strikes me with their originality and vision. Vanille, with its deceptively simple name, is very much in the same vein with the rest of her works. That is, it exudes an intelligence that renders the fragrance equally a piece of olfactory art as well as give it a subaltern sort of questioning identity which makes it weird and wonderful at the same time. Mona doesn't do "nice" scents, she does intriguing, cerebral, vanguard perfumes without veering into "unwearable" territory like so many of her quirky contemporaries do. Back to the perfume however, Vanille is a soothing, warming pas-de-deux featuring vanilla and cloves as the main players with an interesting corp of other notes. Very chiaroscuro again, very Mona. The darkness and spiciness of the cloves cuts through whatever lingering sweetness and innocence the natural vanilla has. This is not a white, sugary, sprinkles-and-frosting vanilla. It's a dark smouldering vanilla with hints of smoke. It's like sitting in the shadows of a gentlemen's bar smoking clove cigarettes and drinking vanilla-laced rum. It is terribly terribly sexy in a slow-motion unhurried way. It's incredible how this house continues to score with me again and again. Wonderful stuff! For comparison, the cloves here remind me of Rania J's Ambre Loup. If you like that enveloping boozy spiciness, Vanille has that to offer as well.

Wow, now here's a vanilla fragrance that I love. This isn't foody- I'm not a fan of food fragrances. But even more importantly, it works with my chemistry. I like vanilla as a note but the problem is that my skin tends to turn it into something cloyingly sweet and awful. Cupcakes, cotton candy, and sometimes even play-doh, on crack, is usually what vanilla centric perfumes turn into on me. Even if the scent isn't meant to be overly sweet, they tend to turn toxic smelling on me (overly sweet an plastic). Guerlain Oriental Brulant, Dior Addict, and Serge Lutens Datura Noir are all entirely unwearable on me. The only other vanilla I've found that works on me is Eau Duelle, but it's bland compared to this. The nice thing about my chemistry, however, is that perfumes that are really spicy, sharp, or heavy are often easier for me to pull off. This is pure comfort on me. It's a lightly spiced chai with nuances of citrus and a shot of rum. Though this isn't the best weather to enjoy it, I could see this being absolute bliss in the winter. It reminds me very much of Christmas.Definitely worth trying, even if you normally stay far away from anything vanilla or gourmand. Update: This is the perfume that has made me realize that I actually really, really love vanilla. My previous experiences with vanilla fragrances completely turned me off of the note, but because of this one I decided to venture into the vanilla category a bit more and it is now one of my favorite notes. But most of those fragrances aren't JUST about the vanilla, this one is still the queen of that :)

Absolutely adult, grown-up, completely un-sickly, sophisticated and spicy treatment of the theme. I *haaaaaaate* oversweet synthy vanilla 'fumes - I don't *want* to smell like a tin of cake or a pan of custard - and even the note alone can ruin things I otherwise like, if it's not kept in check. But this is wondrous. When I went into a niche perfume shop blathering on about how I love things that are smoky and spicy and dark, and the SA suggested this, I confess that I was extremely sceptical. Might have curled my lip at him in contempt. ("Are you even listening? I just told you how much I hate gourmands and sweet girly things!!!") But how wrong I was... This one is easily nuanced and strong enough to hold its own with any of the other magnificent Monas. It's very, very upscale and classy and it doesn't cloy in any way. It might even be considered unisex, (of course men can wear vanillas, but they're often tobacco/vanilla, which this isn't - but I think a guy could still carry it well.) Pricey stuff, and the performance is not as robust as its character (on me it's grown faint by 3h in, although the after-waft of delicious spice lingers much much longer). But so, so worth it. If you want to expand your vanilla horizons, this is the one to try. One perfume where "vanilla" absolutely does not mean "tame, unadventurous, domestic, predictable", but the exact opposite.

Vanilla may be the name but it’s not the biggest game in this perfume! (Lame rhyme I know but it fits.) I was pleasantly surprised, then glum about how much I like this perfume. Surprised because it’s so much more than a woody vanilla perfume, and then glum because it costs over $200 a bottle which I simply cannot pay for. I will be nursing my decant that’s for sure, which may work out since Vanille has excellent longevity. Anyway, this perfume is has a smouldering, smoky, dark character. It could have been called Bois Fumee Vanille Noir. Obviously my French is limited to perfume adjectives, ha ha. It opens up with a LOT of clove, a dry, boozy, woody kind, not the suffocating potpourri kind. The woods really come out in the heart, with a lot of smoky vetiver and guaiac wood and a hint of sandalwood. The vanilla shows up here, and into the base, where the note is strongest--still it is a dry vanilla pod vanilla, not a sweetened type. The perfume becomes a little sweeter here, a little amber vanilla, with a drop of leather, but it never loses that sultry woods character. I live for dark, dirty, earthy perfumes like this. The sillage is modest but the tenacity is excellent. Love.

This was love at first sniff which soon turned to dislike the more and more I wore it. The dry-down is fantastic. The vanilla is rich, and strikes the perfect balance between bitter and dry and sweet and warm. I love the way my shirt would smell a couple days after wearing this, a vague spiciness over the most delicious, quality vanilla. However, getting to the dry-down became a chore. The combination of rum and clove doesn't work very well for me. Add petitgrain and orange blossom into that and I was destined to sell this bottle off in an attempt to recoup part of the significant amount I spent on it. But I'm not mad, as this is a good fragrance. I just find the clove, rum, and orange blossom too heavy and distracting a combination, and after a while, it wears me out. I would probably prefer a simpler or less taxing start. Overall, Di Orio's Vanille is a bit sumptuous for my taste and quite frankly, I'm not crazy about how it smells for the initial hour or so. Projection is very good and longevity is superb. This is more or less unisex and most suitable for casual or more formal situations in the colder months. Recommendation: Do as I say, not as I do, and sample first.

Wonderful perfume. It goes through different stages, all well balanced and "filled up" without being too much at any point. First boozy nutty spicy with traces of vanilla pod but it definitely doesn't scream sweet vanilla at all. Then it transitions into a darker oriental before having a wonderful gourmand drydown by the 4th hour and it stays like that for ages. I find it rather complex for random use any day... it requires a bit of context... it is sophisticated and slightly baroque. Best for colder days. I find most reviews here very helpful and thorough. I would just add that the quality of this niche offering is present during the whole development and most gourmands shall envy its drydown as many of them show wonderful skills the first hour but then their lack of horizon ends up making them boring/tiring, their initial bright colours washed out and some become even weird. This one unexpectedly (as the first stages are not gourmand at all) gives a masterclass in the matter. Without a doubt a work of art, created following a personal agenda, not mass market.

Vanille is the most versatile vanilla fragrance I own. It opens with a blast of the bitter orange that sticks around for quite a while on my skin making it a nice all year round fragrance for me. The name Vanille is not misleading since vanilla is a prominent note in the fragrance but it's only one aspect of it. This fragrance has two main stages for me the first is with bitter orange, rum, cloves and leather (the new shoes leather smell) which might be confusing for some cause the vanilla is very faint at this point. This stage is about 4 hours on my skin. The second phase of this fragrance is where the vanilla takes charge embracing all the previously mentioned notes within it. The vanilla softens the leather and cloves and gives the bitter orange that orange creamsicle vibe the rum is almost gone at this point. This phase is lasts 6 hours before the fragrance fades. The image I get with this fragrance is a woman wearing her boyfriend's leather jacket where his fragrance (the first stage) and hers (second stage) get mixed together creating Vanille.

Oh Mona thank you for this lovely gem. I get easily bored of single note oriented fragrances, especially vanilla fragrances. I think the note has been tortured to insanity in a lot of fragrances. I wont name any names here... When I read the list of notes I didn't even raise an eyebrow, I was not interested whatsoever. Then I received a sample of this with another fragrant purchase. I have to say that the vanilla note in this reminds me a bit of the one in L artisans Vanilia, which I liked but thought was to linear. It also resembles the note in Tihota but with less cookies. What makes this fragrance so special is the use of clove and orange. I love clove and the use of it in this perfume is so soft and elegant that it moves like a quiet whisper through the perfumes development. The rum note is of a refined boozy quality, not the sugar rush you meet in other rum oriented perfumes. Lindy Fay was spot on naming this perfume "shipwreck". I really like this one and hope I will find it in my christmas stocking.

Now THIS is what I expected "Spiriteuse Double Vanille" to smell like! The former left me disappointed, a syrupy sweet vanilla candle with no sensual allure. Mona di Orio's "Vanille" is rich, dark and captivating, not annoyingly sweet or girlish. This is a grown up, sexy vanilla for mature audiences only. The texture is voluptuous and creamy, with cloves and rum absolute giving a slight sharpness that cuts through the density, providing balance. As it develops I get whisps of boozy vapour, like dried rum essence, enshrouded by black, smokey guaiac wood and buttery tolu balsam. Despite these ultra-heavy notes, it remains well balanced and refined, never becoming cloying or over-whelming (this is testing from one spray, bear in mind). There is enough smoky, woodiness contrasting the sweetness of the vanilla that I feel a man could confidently wear this and not feel like a dessert. When the cold winter months roll in I will be slipping this on with a very confident smile.

I can't believe that this brand is no more. Gone. It was tragic already with her dying so young, but to have these lovely creations simply relegated to history has me melancholic today. This vanilla is a vanilla that's not a vanilla. Or I should say it's not what is accepted as a "popular" vanilla. This reminds me of a room with a subtle whiff of creosol from a fireplace and quite a bit of a fruity, spicy clove, with the petitgrain bolstering the bitter orange in the top notes. And the top notes last a while. It says rum, but I never smell rum anyway so it doesn't factor to my nose. Weaving and wandering through is a dark, woody, leathery (not animalic to me) vanilla. Elegant, not sweet but not austere either, there's a bit of sweetness but it's natural not sugar. It's a beauty and I hope I can luck into another bottle. If not, I'll use this one up bc not to would be an insult to Mona di Orio.

In a way I hate sampling scents like this because it's like having your cold, wet nose pressed against the window of a big house, whose inhabitants are enjoying an expensive, slap up meal. I was a bit unsure in the first 20 minutes of this perfume, but oh my word...the dry-down is a glorious blend of woody notes and a warm, pure, dry vanilla. I love the fact that it isn't a sweet, sticky bakery vanilla - it's got warmth and complexity to accompany its gourmand side. There is a lot of rum in this composition on my skin, but it doesn't put me off. It's definitely unisex; a man could easily wear it and that's what makes it wearable for me...blasted with ecstasy. Oh, woe is me! I wish I could stretch to a full bottle, but for its quality I do think it's worth the asking price. I shall treat myself to a roll on when autumn returns...

The scent of luxury trade routes of long ago and Mono di Orio's seafaring captain! This is stunning! I'm amazed: They used pure vanilla - the most expensive fragrance ingredient due to the stupefying labor intensive methods needed to get the real thing. Everything you know as vanilla is most likely artificial. But this is REAL VANILLA! And, they put it in one of the most sensuous, romantic scents ever created. Inspired by the tale of nautical adventure on an old tall ship, laden with precious cargo. On its way from Madagascar, filled with rum, cloves, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, oranges, and a smoky gaiac wood that adds excitement to the mix. Ripe for attack by pirates . . . or perfumistas that long for a perfume that is rare and decadent in the best way.

I love my Vanilla scents so this was a must try for me. Honestly, I expected a yummy spicy Vanilla but was bombarded with Cloves, Woods and Orange instead! The Vanilla is there, in the background but it's not all about the Vanilla. It's so much more, the Rum blends nicely with the composition thus giving you the feeling of coziness and warmth. I can imagine myself in the midst of Winter, rocking on an old wooden chair reading an old book in front of the fireplace, it just gives you that feeling of comfort. The dry down is a rich, resinous Amber & Vanilla. This fragrance wafts every time you move, it just keeps on reminding you that it's still there! A little dirty, a little grown up but very cuddly at the same time, definitely a winner in my book ;)

I love this scent, it's a perfect replacement for my long lost love Organza Indecence! It has the same smoky/vanilla/spicy depth as Indecence, I'm happy to own samples of both these scents so I can compare. I'm not going to cry over Organza anymore!:D Not so bad at least;) Although Mona di Orio has an awfully bitter and earthy opening, like an old bag covered with mud, it leaves a wonderful, long-lasting spicy-vanilla sensation (this is when the echo of Indecence comes to the surface) and this is where the party begins! Projection of this perfume is enormous (I used 3 tiny sprays and after 5 hours my perfume still filled the room - as my mom noticed, and she's used to my strong perfumes).

واحد من افضل العطور التي لايمكن ان انساها لدي عينه من هذاالعطر، لاتظن ان رائحة الفانيلا هنا حادة او بارزة ولكنها خفيفة ناعمة كالحرير عطر يشعرك بالراحة عطر يشعرك انك اما معشوقة في غاية الجمال كم احب رائحة هذا العطر من اوله الى اخره رغم انه البعض قد لايحبذ رائحة القرنفل اللي هي المسمار ولكني اراها جميلة واحببت راحة البرتقال في الافتتاحية وبعدها تاتي رائحة الفانيلا الممزوجة بالروائح الخشبية ياله من جمال، ساقتنية قريبا ويستحق التجربة ويستحق الاقتناء اذا كنت ذو تاريخ طويل بالعطور وذو تجربة لعطور النيش وشخص يحب ان يتفحص مكونات العطر هذا العطر سيعجبك طبعا هذا رايي بالعطر وارجوك ان تجربة حتى لاتلومني جمال الرائخة 9/10 الثبات 10/10 الفوحان 10/10

MdO Vanille brings to me a wonderful childhood memory. Opening my mom's spice cabinet and pulling out her jar of vanilla pods, twisting off the lid, and ummmm! Yes, I'm surrounded by a dark and somewhat powdery vanilla. But the wood cabinet itself, along with the ghosts of spices used (and maybe a bit dropped onto the shelves) with love. Vanille is smokey and chic. Exotic and yet comforting. This is a most interesting blend. It is potent and long-lasting. This vintage chypre-loving gal has found another Vanilla to adore. A big and reverant nod to Guerlain Shalimar (my other vanilla-heavy love).

I fell in love today with Vanille from Mona di Orio! A masterpiece. Very beautiful story about vanilla. This fragrance is not linear "bakery" vanilla scent. Mona di Orio Vanilla is very complex construction. It opens with the orange and the clove notes. In the middle of pyramide i found a lot of woody notes, like tolu balm, smoky vetiver and sandalwood. Vanilla is in the heart of this gorgeous "juice" but it is accompanied by leather, amber and tonka beans notes. Perfect for the cold weather like a soft cashmere sweater that keeps you warm all day long...

WOW! I love this as much as my Amouage FATE and that is saying something. I'm going to have to have joint number one favourites now. On me the citrus, vanilla and spices are definitely dominant with the wood, vetiver and alcohol notes more in the background. It is sweet but not quite enough to be gourmand. Its a truly grown up and sophisticated spicey vanilla. Most definitely unisex. Above average sillage and easily lasts all day. I will have to save up for this one, but it is so worth it. This decant is going to have to last a long time!

Masterpiece. I don’t throw that word around often. I found a new favorite: a creamy, warm, boozy vanilla. Opening features a blood orange, citric essence taking it in an herbal direction, if ever so briefly. With definite stages of development, this is worth the high niche price tag. If you think you’ve tried every vanilla under the sun and have found nothing new, take Vanille Mona di Orio out for a spin. You might be surprised, I can’t think of another that’s similar. And with excellent performance to boot. A signature worthy “love”.
