Haute Montagne

i cant stop sniffing my wrists. its like a block of wood that you want to take a big bite out of. the wood and musk are the most prominent, giving haute montagne its masculinity and mystery. when combined with vanilla which gives HM its allure and sense of comfort, the resulting product is so damn majestic, as well as unisex. it becomes quite peppery in the dry-down which is unfortunate for me, somebody who dislikes pepper in frags :( but overall, just a work of art it works day and night but lives on a very mellow type beat, so it would be worn best in cloudy or bad weather. i can picture this being worn by guys and girls cause haute montagne has a very soothing and delicate nature to it thanks to the vanilla. as a girl, i would wear this in moody weather for everyday. haute montagne smells like: its the first day of december, chilly but not yet festive, and you and your introverted partner escape to a remote cabin retreat amongst the rich north american woodlands, now shedding their leaves, and a scenic creek. the landscape is tranquil, home to majestic deer and elk. its 9 in the morning and your partner had already risen from bed, leaving you alone to oversleep. youre awake, tangled in the sheets, and amongst the ubiquitous wood can smell their spicy, musky cologne lingering on their vacant side of the bed. you, before getting up and worrying about where they are, try to savour the last of their warmth on the sheets before it all gets lost to the cool air.

Was at the mall and sprayed this on a test strip, couldn’t smell anything literally anything... took the test card with me, and later that day the test card seemed to smell AMAZING , is to me very much Amber, vanilla and pepper. Couple days later, same test card it hit me that this smells A LOT like Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka. Fast forward a couple more weeks, same test card smelled like pepper with a slight sweet undertone . Needless to say I went back to the mall (few weeks later) and got an actual sample. Sprayed it on the top of my forearm maybe 6-7 small free sample sprays ,was about 2pm.. And the scent was still very noticeable at 730am the next morning. I even put on another fragrance at 530am on my shirt and opposite forearm. Sitting here at 730 and I’m constantly getting beautiful wofts from this moncler. That I applied well over 15+ hrs earlier !!! It’s crazy !!! Compared to the Jo Malone this is a great value even at full retail in my opinion. Of course if ya know ya know and I quickly ordered it on jomashop this morning. If you like Myrrh & Tonka Jo Malone,.. You’ll LOVE this juice. I’m a 48 yr old masculine dude for context. Thnx Moncler!!! This stuff is off the charts AMAZING!!!!!! All seasons Any reason !! IMO.

I blind bought this because I was attracted to the note breakdown and I was greatly impressed with Moncler's iris/violet fragrance Le Solstice. As I smelled this on my hand for the first time, I perused the reviews here on Fragrantica, and read from oldest to newest. I began formulating thoughts and an opinion about this fragrance, I happen to be going through a bit of a wood fragrance fetish at the moment, so this came at an opportune time. I eventually stumbled upon luvoxlixir's recent review. Luvoxlixir's well chosen, cogent and poetic description of Haute Montagne enhanced my experience as I was introduced to this beautiful fragrance. I cannot offer any words to outdue, improve upon, equal or add to luvoxlixir's eloquent yet unpretentious portrait of this fragrance. I give this gorgeous, woody, spicy, vanilla, aromatic, earthy fragrance a 9.5/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.55.

This is beautifully linear fragrance. Primarily, I get a perfect vanilla note with an earthy green note. It's quite rugged and elegant at the same time, and I think it's very inoffensive for any situation at all. I'm happy to stumble upon this fragrance sample. I'm not too happy about the price where it stands now ($240). I think this is a $120 max type of fragrance. That's not to say that it doesn't smell great. It doesn't smell synthetic. It's a very good blend. I might pick this up later this year if I can find it on sale.

I blind bought this based on very limited reviews on Reddit and YouTube. I am very picky when it comes to cold weather fragrances. I don’t like the strong gourmand pastry-like scents, Azarro the most wanted Parfum. But this here, is a BANGER. I’ve never smelled anything like this. I want to smell like this all day every day. The imagery this takes me to is an upscale cabin mountain resort. Hard to explain the scent profile but the vanilla is present but not in a gourmand way. I can’t stop smelling my wrist.

Haute Montagne is a smooth blend of woods, vanilla and musk. No harsh edges, very inoffensive. The perfect everyday fragrance in my opinion. It most likely won’t WOW you but it does smell great and will get compliments. The performance is not the best on my skin but you can find 200ml bottles for quite cheap so I just over spray.

This is a great musky moss, pepper and vanilla. I was obsessed with the sample, but unfortunately when I went full size it didn't retain the same addictiveness. After macerating for a couple of months it's getting there, but be prepared to wait a long time for this to get to it's full glory. :''''''''''(

its unique, its woody, its not very potent but if u dont want too much atentione, its fine it has very nice tones, also not feel any cheap notes here, its like very luxorious fragrance, honestly its 9/10 for me and its in my top 10 ever smelled, lovely, classy, but try it before u buy it like always!

One of the sexiest vanillas I’ve tried. Lasts forever. It’s elegant yet casual which is a fav combination of mine. Not exactly a lover of cedar, but it’s really gorgeous here with an understated mossy vibe. It’s fairly linear but in the best way. Underrated!

This is how woody vanilla scent should be. Since sweetness of vanilla note is deeper and richer, any other notes should cover it to maintain the balance. This one is an example of how vanilla scent could be very versatile and complex. So lovely!

Got a couple samples. Instant love. Totally gender neutral, compliment getter, impressively long-lasting, year-round. Because of the surrounding notes, the vanilla never enters the gourmand realm. It is a bit sweet, yet balanced and grounded.

This gives alpine wind bottled up—dry, woody vanilla at first, stripped of any sweetness, like the scent of raw timber left out in the cold. On settling, the warmth of cedar moss takes over, soft but powder-dry, like a fine dust clinging to weathered bark. There’s a quiet vanilla-like whim of peppery tonka beneath it all, but it only serves to add touches of depth, not at all nearing gourmand. On my skin, I pull quite a dose of sharp but rounded coriander, giving the scent a faint sour bite which is nicely softened by the earthiness of the autumn-y moss. Definitely a masculine-leaning woody skin scent, restrained in sillage yet undeniably present. Not about vanilla, not about overt sweetness—just a whisper of something rugged that has been since refined. Would love to catch this on someone in passing.

Smells like if Aqua Allegoria Forte Bosca Vanilla by Guerlain & Autumn Vibes by MMM had a baby. Like a crispier, brighter Autumn Vibes. Or a mossier Bosca Vanilla. Either way, the juice is good, suitable for all season, & definitely an easy-to-wear crowd pleaser. However, it’s nothing revolutionary & I wouldn’t buy a full bottle since I own both aforementioned fragrances. UPDATE: I layered Bosca Vanilla over Autumn Vibes (for science), and it smells almost identical to Haute Montagne but a little richer. I’m definitely going to be wearing this combo for fall

This scent was misleading I smell vanilla but very soft and unconventional With cedar which is very smooth as well The whole mix is actually quite good Performance was ok I felt it was very airy and easy to wear What I didn’t appreciate about it is the simplicity It is the kind of scent which you wear because it’s nice for all occasions and seasons If you are someone who likes to dissect and contemplate your fragrances like I do you have nothing to look forward to here It’s a signature scent material for people who want nice scents

Simple classy woody aromatic scent built around the combination of vanilla and coriander seed. The central combination is first accentuated by a mossy cedar and settles into synthetic musk in the drydown. The slight masculine leaning scent has moderate sillage and very good longevity. Sophisticated and suave without being too obtrusive, this is a good example of a daily wear stylish high quality scent. Enjoy!

It's very understated, minimalistic, and sophisticated—a muted & dry peppery woody fragrance with neutral vanilla backdrop—the kind of fragrance you can wear to any occasion, especially quiet ones, which could mean boring for some, but I like it, just not swooned or wowed by it, and unfortunately this is the standout of the pseudo-niche collection. *The vibe is similar to Celine's Black Tie

My favourite room spray. So comforting

Very similar to Gentleman Eau de Parfum by Givenchy. Would just resort to the Givenchy Parfum as it's half the price and the performance is nearly the same.

I smell primarily dry green cedar. Some vanilla. Linear. Soft projection but good longevity.
