I Like You In Velvet

The most perfect vegetal iris I could imagine (boiled carrots, but make it sparkly). Sadly, it lasts maybe 90 minutes on my skin. I adore it, but there’s a lot of respraying required.

I love, love, love this scent but I feel like it lasts all of 5 minutes.

crushing a fun dip stix with the blunt end of a boiled carrot. evocative of gliding your hand across a mauve velvet throw pillow. makes me feel put together during zoom meetings. contrary to other reviewers i get moderate longevity and silage but i likewise find the price to be ludicrous.

Ribbons, flocked wallpaper, chandeliers, and tiers of chalky candy. This smells like the idea, or a memory, of a music box. Very interesting. I love to spray it on my arm and give myself a hug whenever I am home with no errands for the day.

Lipstick wax, fruit wax, and some earthy woody notes that lead one to believe we're outside, but just for a moment. Stripper smoke break, just before the cigarette is lit. Like a scene from a David Lynch film.

Meh was looking forward to this one. Ordered the sample size and yes first note is carrot! Spot on, but on the skin it literally makes you smell like a snow cone! Like a sweet flavored syrup.. reminds me of a carnival. Definitley not for me, also like another person mentioned, it does not last long! 5-10 min tops.

Vegetal lipstick! This smells, quite literally, like upscale cosmetics + root vegetables, dirt and all. There's an earthiness here thanks to the carrot and woods, but it's also delicate and feminine, verging on girly thanks to a distinct sweetness. A strange combination, but it works. I enjoy it, but as other reviewers have mentioned, to call it fleeting is an understatement. Mondo Mondo's bottles are very attractive and I love the hammered gold caps, but I do think you're paying for the presentation mainly. $200 for 50ml of a fragrance that Houdini vanishes in moments is a bit insane.

Literally feels plush and very posh. Waxy expensive lipstick. Gummy red twizzler licorice. Velvety skin musk. The sweet carrot note adds something crisp. Spoiled, beautiful chick perfume.
