Apotheose de Rose

Yet another lovely perfume from monotheme,I only recently purchased this and I love it,the only thing to consider if you are thinking about purchasing this perfume yourself is even though it has a rose themed bottle the rose itself is not the main note of this perfume,while you can smell the floral note the fruity notes are more prominent in this fragrance and it’s also has a lovely sweetness to it,it’s definitely not your usual rose fragrance and if you are wanting a rose dominant fragrance you will be dissapointed but if you don’t mind it being fruity fragrance with a hint of rose instead of a powdery rose then you will like this,overall I think it’s a lovely perfume and I’m beginning to become a fan of the monotheme fragrance collection.

Sparkly, fresh and kind of addictive floral scent. A bit too "young" for me but nevertheless with some depth in the dry down. I let it macerate for a week before spraying again and the longevity is pretty decent. My other Monotheme of Venice fragrances perform at beast mode after a couple of months, especially Saffron and Rose Oud. I can still smell it on my clothes after 8-10 hours and more. This one stays close to the skin but with every movement I get a "reminder" of its freshness. I layer it with Amber Wood by Riffs and it becomes a beautiful warm, exciting and more deep scent. For the price it's a gem.

This smells like the lather of rose-water infused soap in the shower. It goes on with a clear, clean rose note - a Turkish or wild rose, as some reviewers say below, not a perfumey heavy rose - and then that fades to a pretty floral soap-scent. Apotheosis is entirely appropriate - the rose note floats away to the heavens after the first 15-30 minutes. The dry-down is clean, it’s soft, it clings to your skin. Imagine you used rose water toner after washing your face, & then instead of fading that note lingered. My favourite ‘clean/fresh’ scent so far as i really don’t like aldehydes.

Update: it’s been a year that this has sat and the rose is very prominent smells fresh and sweet and mellow. This is a scent that smells nice throughout the stages but changes the longer it’s left to sit it’s like a new perfume every three months 😂 New scent and I fell in love straight away. It is fresh and summery, I get a sweet rosey and citrus scent in the beginning then a little bit or a pear note, in the dry down I get light patchouli and a musky cherry and throughout I get a slight creamy vanilla It’s gorgeous. 😍🥰

This is a cheapie gem. It just smells so so good! The powdery opening then quickly turns into creamy rose scent. Yes rose note is noticeable here but it is not overwhelming to other notes. Unfortunately it doesn’t last long on my skin; less than 3hrs but it lasts on my hair I can smell it the next day . Sillage about 2 feets.

Rose with a tang of citrus. First note is an overwhelming aroma of roses, I like Rose perfumes but found the opening notes to this one to be too strong. Once it blends with your skin it softens to a gentle Rose and a lovely sweet citrus tang comes forward, it is quite unique compared to other roses in my collection. The bottle is beautiful and I almost wish it opened with just the dipper so that you could touch it to your pulse points. Alas this is a spray bottle, unfortunately mine leaks when I use it. Every time I pump the spray I end up with perfume all over the outside of the bottle, if I shake it there are drops of perfume flying everywhere. Not my favourite perfume but at the price point definitely worth a try if you like beautiful bottles and a unique aroma.

Soft and cute with a very realistic portrayal of rose, which is heavily emphasised as the main note. The wholistic rosiness is naturally quite cool, best used in colder weather, much like a pink rosy blush across the cheeks in a snowstorm. The citrus and tonka are very much background notes, however the pear is very prevalent. Unfortunately it lacks any complexity, particularly in the development on skin, mostly due to the intimate sillage and weak lasting power. The performance is severely lacking, but the affordability compensates for this.

This is a really fresh, young scent, oddly enough, I dont smell any patchouli or tonka! No orange, either. Its very musky and I definitely get a pear note, but the rose still stands out the most. For being so affordable, it is very nice!

I do like it, but I wish it was a little bit more fresh. To me, it smells like roses, but more like days-old roses that aren't as beautiful as they were when freshly picked.

A misnomer this one. I agree with those who point to the absence or a very attenuated presence of a rose in this “apotheosis” of the flower. To me, this smells like berry flavoured hard candy. Not bad, but not at all what one would expect going by the name.

This is a very fresh floral and the rose is not that distinct as the addition of pear and tonka makes is fruity. It is very watery and fresh, nice for spring. But will have to give mine away as my husband said to him it smells like an air freshener.

Super musky balmy Powdery scent. Doesn't smell like roses.

Honestly, the promised mandarin and patchouli are completely absent here, and I struggle to find even a trace of the rose. On my skin, this opens as a watery pear accented by a hint of grassy bamboo—a profile that immediately recalls the discontinued Fraîcheur Végétale series by Yves Rocher. Unfortunately, it shares that collection's poor longevity as well. Don't get me wrong: there is certainly a market for inoffensive, 'skin-scent' fragrances. However, few enthusiasts have the patience to reapply every two to three hours, which is the maximum wear I can coax out of this juice. Had this been marketed as a sheer lotus, water lily, or honeysuckle soliflore, the composition would feel more cohesive. As it stands, I cannot recommend it at full retail price. While the bottle and packaging are undeniably 'Instagrammable,' the scent itself fails to deliver. I was a bit fooled by the aesthetic but because this was a gift, I am spared the financial sting of the disappointment.

It’s not fresh nor rosy . It’s cute smell , if you are very much into jammy sweets , sparkling rose cassis Prosecco and pinkiness . Please don’t buy it from what i see some sell for £63 on ebay now because of it’s discontinuation !! It’s not worth it - doesn’t stand out alone as a wearable perfume , not it can be layered with anything , because of the tartness.

Sweet, clean not powdery rose which after an hour or so develops into a rosy musk, then a white musk which is a faint skin scent some 6 hours later. A pretty scent which lasts longer than I thought it would, given the very modest price tag. I don't smell any citrus.

Not a rose. This is not wild dog-rose, nor cabbage rose, nor french, bulgarian rose, nor even rose petal jam. It smells fruity and synthetic like some jasmine essence oils do with just a hint of rose and sweet tonka base.

Well well, why on earth did they call this Apotheose? Rose is no star here, she just plays a small cameo role and leaves a fleeting, though charming, impression.

I like this perfume and I occasionally sneak-spray this to my girlfriend. 9 out of 10.
