Bloom Pour Femme

Bloom Pour Femme is a lovely, classy, very feminine, soft rose-beeswax-honey scent. I put on quite a lot (12-16 spritzes, all told) and it radiated in this perfect, gentle-but-present way for a good 6 hours; for an inexpensive EDT, it has some tenacity. I'm unfamiliar with Hermes Amazone but, if it's anything like it, I would love Amazone, too. Fragrantica's notes for this fragrance are so paltry; they should really update them! Bloom is a super-pretty, warm but light rose scent with a clean, powdery, pollen-y aspect and a beeswax/honey drydown. Like suecasas below, it reminds me of something from my past that I can't put my finger on... Maybe a Weleda or Dr. Hauschka rose skin cream...? Maybe Waldorf school beeswax crayons...? Anyway, something very pure and clean and, in spite of the fact that I have many rose fragrances in my collection, absolutely unique. I wore it to work yesterday and shared it with two of my friends there -- both floral lovers -- and for them it was an instant love. I bought it for around $18 from FragranceNet so it's also a total bargain. Bloom is an absolutely lovely fragrance that I never want to be without. Incidentally, this is the third Monotheme Venezia fragrance I've tried and is, thus far, my favorite. I also like their White Musk a lot, too, which veers toward the spicy in a similar way to Derek Lam Blackout or L'Heure Bleue, but I struck out with White Gardenia, which just smells like chemicals to me. I'm eager to try some others from them, too...

This reminds me of Marry Me by lanvin but sweeter and better performance... candied oranges and freesia with a touch of rose. It lasts 8 hours on skin and 12+ hours on clothing, out performing more expensive Perfumes like trussardi Donna, lanvin and quatre. Perfect for spring and summer. Monotheme got this one right : )

I'm surprised that such an inexpensive fragrance can be so pretty. On first spray the first floral I smell is freesia, and immediately, fragrances like Maison Margiela's Flower Market and Dior's Forever and Ever come to mind. This is in the same vein of those freesia heavy, citrusy type fresh floral fragrances. So, if you like that you probably will like this too. This also shares many of the same notes. I get rose, a little jasmine, definitely peony and possibly some lily of the valley too, as there is a cool green crispness here. There is no spiciness to my nose other than the aromatic spiciness naturally occurring in freesia, and whatever citruses there are do not last very long after the initial spray when the flowers take center stage. Still, there is a freshness here that last throughout the wear, and I think will work beautifully in warm weather though it does smell pretty darn good right now. I like FM and F&E but found both a little shrill because of the freesia, but here that note is tempered by the musky, though not very powdery, base. Overall, this is a simple fragrance, and after the dry down, kind of linear too. But it is very pretty and not bad as far as performance goes. Put it this way, I've smelled a whole lot worse, that performed a lot worse, that cost a whole lot more. This is practically dirt cheap in comparison, but it certainly doesn't smell that way. So, no complaints from me here.

I've never yet come across a scent that needed to be on the skin so badly. Sprayed into the air this smells like plant stems. But rub it on your skin and it lives up to it's name and blooms into a bouquet of fresh delectable garden flowers. Does not work on testers or on clothes. Skin test only!

This smells a bit like honey to me but not as sweet. It has some mustiness that my nose picks up that I wasn't really a fan of so I gave it away. It's not bad but not something id repurchase.
