White Musk Pour Femme

Interesting! I wanted to like it - the notes sound amazing. But unfortunately, on my skin, it's a soapy, "stale" musk, that smelled a little bit like a toilet that hadn't been aired out properly. I didn't like the dry down on my skin; it turned too dirty (maybe the patchouli?), and I didn't get a pure, creamy, soapy musk. The longevity is pretty good, though, it had a moderate projection for about three hours, and then persisted on my skin for about three more. If it works for you, I say why not? Lol. Unfortunately, too stale and old-toilet to me :( --- One month later, I couldn't stop thinking about this, and at only $30 a pop, I gave in and bought it. I think maybe the "staleness" I had in the store that day may have also been due to an old tester. Right now, on my skin, it's still clearly musky, but not sour or stale. Pleasant, comforting, musk. My other favourite musk is "Clair de Musc" by Serge Lutens; that one is more "bright" and "soapy" with a hint of aldehydes. This one feels fuzzier, and rounder at the edges. Very, very nice. I'm glad I gave this another shot. 9/10.

I agree with Molko. On me this scent is VERY soapy, but I love it!. It was a blind buy but I'm glad I've got it. It's very different from all the other White Musks I own, but I can't help feeling I've smelt this before, but not one I own. I'm intrigued to buy more from this line just on the basis of this one. The bottle is lovely, though I will keep it in its box and not on show until I've emptied it. I'm wearing it in the freezing cold UK and it smells gorgeous and clean. I will try it in Spring and Summer to see how it reacts. I'm all for buying another bottle.

I never thought musk could smell so nice and fine. To me, this is a very spicy (because of the sandalwood) White musk fragrance. I have found and tried it at my local perfume store for 12 Euros for a 100ml bottle, which makes this scent so affordable! And I have to admit that it smells way more expensive! :)

What a beautiful fragrance this is. Apart from the musk I find some of the notes difficult to pin point. It matters not as the notes work wonderfully well together. The musk is incredibly good, warm and creamy. Longevity isn't bad.

I thought I loved White Musk Pour Femme the first couple of times I tried it; it almost seemed to have a fresh, almost fruity spiciness that I enjoyed. But by my third wearing, it struck me simply as a strong laundry musk -- not unpleasant, but also not interesting. It actually reminds me a lot of Body Fantasies Signature White Musk -- a simple white laundry musk which I love -- but there's a slightly more floral quality to Body Fantasies that I prefer over Monotheme's; White Musk Pour Femme has way superior longevity compared to Body Fantasies, though. So, if you like Body Fantasies white musk, but are disappointed by its longevity (it is a "body spray," after all), you may enjoy Monotheme's version. I'm still trying to decide what to do with it; on the fence about whether I "need" it in my collection or not... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: Only an hour later... BIG turnaround! I realized what WMPF reminded me of: my favorite perfume of all time, L'Heure Bleue! I mean, it's not as divinely gorgeous with an incense-y note that L'H B has, nor does it really have the almond pastry aspect. BUT it does have the musky powderiness with a slight spiciness (cinnamon?) that I get from L'H B. I also get a bit of a classic Ivory soap smell in the opening. We'll see how this one evolves for me but it's definitely been a wild ride so far, what with going from mildly captivating to seemingly boring and back to mildly captivating! :D -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6 months later... I've ultimately moved it out of my collection; the "laundry musk" smell is just too strong in this one, for me.

White Musk? I'm so not a fan of any white musk tried so far and I quite like this one, because for me it's not your typical white musk. It's a bit stoning on the brain anyway, so I guess some white musk is in game here. I smell some citrus notes but they quickly fade. The flowers set in almost immediately and stay for a long while, a bit generic white flowers with a faint acquatic vibe, then should come the drydown, but it's not as part of a real evolution. This part is very in your face and it should be the "white musk" note. No patchouli nor sandalwood detected. It's vaguely woody and that's all. What really strike my head in this fragrance is a strong note that I could describe as synthetic green almond. Someone mentioned coconut, I smell more of a slightly woody green almond that goes from beginning to end and it's the main feature of the whole blend. Not bad, but linear, never ceasing and a bit headache inducing. It's vaguely similar to that almond note in HP (which I strongly dislike as a perfume) but White Musk is no dupe of HP. All in all is a clear, very clean and probably comforting scent, but take it the easy way. Do not overspray with this one as it could make you feel queasy and it's hard to scrub, both from skin and fabrics. It reminds me of Elie Saab L'Eau Couture in the light green bottle, but that's a much better fragrance and more gentle. White Musk is sold for cheap price and is long lasting with a low-medium sillage.

This perfume has a scent that feels like that last day of illness—when you’re almost fully better. The air outside is bright but gentle, with both sunlight and a light breeze. Your stuffy nose is finally gone, but your voice is still slightly hoarse. Everything feels fresh in a quiet way. You lie back on your bed, rest your eyes, and just feel the calmness of the day settle in. [I really love this scent—it feels like a quiet moment of healing, wrapped in soft light and fresh air.]

To me this smells calming, fresh chamomile tea - baby powder white musk, and leans niche-smelling. It makes me feel collected and well-groomed, and it is one of my comfort scents for the office during warmer seasons. Performance is average, but at this price point you don't mind reapplying every 4 hours, especially, because it is lovely to feel it again and again throughout the day. Give this cheapie brand a try, it is surprisingly good.

I blind bought this and honestly it’s not a disappointment, considering how out of my comfort zone it is. It’s very clean, very musky, bordering on more feminine, but still unisex enough. Could be used for layering, if you’re into that. Clean smell, perhaps a bit sterile like fragranced bleach, wouldn’t spray more than once. One of those that you just need to match with chemically or it will sit weird.

If you like fresh clean soapy smell, this perfume is for you. Strongly reminds me of Prada infusion, Prada Amber, Luna rossa, The Body shop White musk for men, I used to wear them earlier. It smells definately unisex, cold, fresh, lavender-musky-soapy scent, tiny bit powdery. Perfect office perfume. I wish the sillage was stronger, lasting is not that bad. The discount price was great.

This fragrance is a subtle floral musk that wears close to the skin. I do not get any citrus, patchouli or sandalwood notes. Just a nice clean musk that is suitable to wear to the office or anywhere you don't want to bowl people over with your perfume. It is just enough that as you move through your day you catch a fleeting warmth, it is lovely.

What the!? There’s a note deep in this that reminds me so much of Cottees Fruit Cup cordial and the orange or pineapple Life Savers from the 5 fruit tubes (not the fizzy ones but the hard lollies). It must be the orange in this but wow that was a weird nostalgic mind pop. I don’t really care what this perfume is, soapy and strange, I like it!

The top notes are full of amareto liqueur which are not mentioned but i can smell them. I wish the opening ia longer lasting.

Can't believe a beautiful blend of bergamot top note and dry down of sandalwood and musk could be this cheap!

this smells like pastry at first but not in a good way rather greasy and after the dry down smell disappears in like 1-2 hours

A very simple scent, I don't get much complexity on my skin but it's a pleasant enough musky, white floral perfume

Not a white musk in my eyes not really a musk at all very masculine scent with what others have described as a medical note it sits on the shelf I don’t even like it enough to use as a air freshener

On my skin a sour, musty, nasty scent. No citrus. Nothing soft or powdery. Medium projection and lasted about 6 hours. Awful all the way.

i found these fragrances in an unexpected place and decided to pick up a couple. well, i initially thought these might be ok for layering which they are, but i wont end up using them this way. i just dont tend to faff around with that. its clean musk with a little powder, a little wood id say. not as complex as the notes suggest. you get a couple hours out of it a guess. nice price point, about $17 for a big bottle. meh. really interesting brand though, i had never heard of it before.

This is the perfect example of less is more. I tried this fragrance last week and I find it very pleasant. I agree with azuriiita, you can wear this scent when you are tired of complex and loud fragrances. Even if is simple, White Musk is very well blended and elegant. The price is very affordable. It is white blanket with a silky touch or a soft cloud, innocent but not girly. A little beautiful gem. Good job Signor Vidal!
