Vol 870 YUL-CDG

I have a sample of this from twisted lily. I want it as it smells so unique. Some women or men who like very "feminine" frags might find it a little too masculine but I think that is only because of the fir and the sage which are there but the Osmanthus and apricot really smooth and unisex it imo. This is so worth trying. I'd say it is mostly a skin scent but might be wider with a spray bottle. my very first reaction was that I was in a wood shop with freshly cut wood which to me is a good thing.

Playful, half-creamy, half-juicy apricot sweetness, with an earthy/woody undertone. Like a campground birthday party with an orange theme: orange-colored jello, orange-colored gummy bears, orange-chocolate-spice cake. I really like the opening here, but I find it gets a bit awkward for a while mid-wear, as it begins to develop a bit of tangy sharpness that pings mulchy to me, even slightly dirty, when paired with the sweet brightness of the fruit notes.

A soft musky osmanthus, with some fir in the background, over a base of cypress, giving an overall suede vibe. Could be very nice on a woman, but definitely too feminine to my nose for my tastes, and performance should really be worked on, imo.

apricot, fruit leather, hay(?), horse-like/stable-like scent kind of sharp rooty, dries down into a floral osmanthus still juicy and a bit sweet

I have a full bottle of this fragrance. This fragrance was gifted to me, along with some other full bottles of Monsillage fragrances. The issue with Monsillage fragrances is that they are all overly too perfumey. All of their fragrances smell nice, but that perfumey vibe I get makes them all unwearable.

Soft and feminine. Skin scent almost immediately. Received as a sample, def not bottle worthy to me.

Enfin dans ma collection, un parfum conçu par une nez du québécoise. Les sublimes notes de tête évoquent avec bonheur une promenade dans une forêt de conifères par une belle journée ensoleillée. Ce sont ces notes qui m'ont fait craqués pour ce parfum. Celle-ci sont trop rarement utilisées en parfumerie, surtout chez les parfums dit féminins. Après la verte forêt ce parfum me transporte doucement dans un jardin embaumé. Un très beau parfum raffiné et élégant.

I can't believe I have never reviewed this gorgeous masterpiece by the very talented Isabelle Michaud! To be honest, this fragrance is just as intriguing as its name... The beauty lies in its paradoxical nature, soft but assertive, subtle but enticing and I imagine its due to the surprising array of notes and how beautifully they are arranged and juxtaposed. Very hard to describe but truly a work of art.
