Monsoon

My godness Kama, you described exactly the same thing I felt! When I sprayed it it was overpowering! Smelled like some mini my greatgranny used to have. That is not bad if you like strong old fashion perfumes, of course it could have been Chanel N5, I can't remember what it was but smelled like that. I thought "mmm, a bit too much for me" the kind that suffocates the person standing next to you. But yes! a while after, the sweet lighter notes come, and I too was surprised to find them after and not before the darker start. It was very pleasant and I thought ye, I could wear this on a night out. And now a couple of hours later, the scent is very pleasant even if a bit masculine and not strong at all. One of those that needs reapplying (not bad as its cheap enough). Although not sure if I would want that explosion of sweet darkness before the dry down in public!

I accidentally sprayed this on myself. I found an unlabelled vial in my Grandma's collection and gave it a try. I liked it a lot and was very surprised to find it was Monsoon! Unlike the other reviewers here, I would certainly expect Monsoon to be a cheap fragrance. As a fragrance brand, it has nothing on the big players. On me, it is a light floral scent. Very pleasant and feminine. However, after maybe half an hour, the scent is already very difficult to pick up. The drydown, or what I can catch of it, is more of a spicy amber. All in all, it's a pleasant fragrance. There's nothing offensive about it, although not particularly special either.

This smells like Chanel no5 but not so in your face and strong, its softer so therefore, to me, it's nicer. On first spay I was transported back to the 80s. Its definitely vintage vibe. The spicy top dies after about 15 mins and it loses the no5ness a little. Not being a fan of no5, I'm surprised that I do like this frag. Sadly it doesn't last long, an hour and it's faded a lot. 3 hours and it's completely gone. If you like CH5 but don't like the price tag get this, it's a ringer. Though, as I said, it's not so heavy and doesn't last long. It's good for day wear as I think no5 is too heavy for the day, but be prepared to reapply a few times.

It's a nice spicy musky scent, but only in winter time, at least to me. I first tried it in different conditions, and, boy, do I hated it.. It smelled like the kind of perfumes that we usually identify as "vintage perfume". Fortunately, I kept my sample and retried it later, in colder time and, to my surprise, it blossomed! Now I really like it.

Too bland and disappears within 15 minutes. I don't even know what it's supposed to be...... Sometimes it smells like washing up liquid and sometimes it just smells like soapy metal?! I don't know how they classed this into a perfume group but it's hard to tell what it is....I don't even care to wear it but the bottle is pretty. Even layered with the non smell existent lotion that it came with, there was absolutely no staying power. This is in contrast to their other perfume in the same bottle but frosted/white, called elation which is much stronger and fresher smelling. Of the two, I find myself using elation and have disregard for this one I am sorry to say.
