Rose Gold

I love Monsoon Rose Gold, a transparent, bell-clear, fresh rose with an interesting, almost minty note overall. It's very refreshing and pretty, reminding me a little of a rosy-note mojito -- sweet, rosy, fresh lightness. The only rose perfume I can remotely compare it to (that I'm familiar with, at least!) is L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar, a fresh pear-flavored rose. I can pinpoint the pear note in Pure Nectar, but cannot identify a particular fruit note in Rose Gold, just a generalized light fruitiness. It's fun, flirty, fresh but not loud. To me, it's very sensual and reminds me of cool summer nights in Southern California... <3 On the spectrum of rose perfumes (which I enjoy very much), you have your light roses like Rose Gold and Pure Nectar and, on the opposite end, your dark roses, like Portrait of a Lady, Noir de Noir, and L'Extase Rose Absolue. If you're looking for a very pretty light rose perfume, Monsoon Rose Gold is a lovely one, suitable I think, for day or night, and all seasons, but maybe especially summer due to its cool mintiness. Longevity is around 5 hours on me, sillage similarly moderate. I'm not sure if it's been discontinued, however, because when I went looking for it this morning, I could find nothing. As I recall, I originally purchased it, about 6 months ago, from FragranceNet, where it was on Clearance. I hope it has not permanently gone away... :( ----------------------------------------------------------------- Later on in the day, I tested the fresh, coconut-creamy deliciousness that is D & G Dolce Garden. I think both Dolce Garden and Monsoon Rose Gold share a fresh, light floral nature, though Rose Gold lacks the coconut cream note and Dolce Garden dries down a teeny bit AG Cloud-like. But they are both fresh, light florals. However, Rose Gold has WAAAYYY better longevity than Dolce Garden, which literally disappears in an hour off my skin while Rose Gold just keeps radiating beautifully.

I tried this in the fragrance shop and my first reaction was "meh", half an hour later I could not believe how wonderful it was. It's a very real rose without the powder. The musk isn't that strong, all the notes under the rose are there to highlight it. It's not a complicated extravagant scent, nor is it for any one age group. It's real strength is lasting power, 16 hours later and it's still noticeable on my skin.

This is a very romantic perfume, a delicate and delightful rose, the description is one hundred percent accurate in saying it's a 'floral harmony'. That is exactly what this perfume is! A good spring scent and very lovely.

Beautiful floral musky salty perfume. Very similar to Velvet Vanilla Mancera for women and men.

It’s a pleasant scent but has no lasting power on me. Says nothing to me tall except ‘conservative’ and ‘inoffensive’
