Aoud Legend

warm oud and spices in a very elegant way, it is perfect for long occasion when you have to stay away from the house for a long time, you can trust it perfect for weinther and fall and long cold nights... opens up very strong but it cools down little by little. patchouli & sandalwood are first detected and it ends up being warm with a blow of safran... i love strong & classy perfumes, if you are like me, you will love it for sure

Good stuff. Leather and rose are the notes I pick up most, there’s a woody base, patchouli and labdanum are noticeable, I get zero oak moss or vetiver. The performance is good but there’s an airiness to it which i think is from the ambergris. It definitely smells like a Montale.

The more that I wear this the more I think it smells like mancera wild leather in the drydown. Opening is completely different though.

This is not oud! This is a salty aquatic scent with a woody accord! Very much like Acqua di Gio Profumo! The guy who makes Montale fragrances probably labeled his urine sample "aoud" when they asked for it in his last hospital visit. They beat the name of oud to the ground so bad, it lost all meaning with Montale. I like the scent a lot but not these Montale antics. Casual/semi-formal wear that leans on the mature side. Big "Like" for the scent but not the effort.

I get a very prominent barber shop smell from this, still a very classy oud and ambergris frag that i use for a dinner out, oud does fade away quickly so be warned.

Aoud light. I suppose its target market is people who want to say they wear oud/aoud perfume without absolutely reeking of it. rosequeen here prefers oud/aoud fragrances that actually smell like oud. Or at least rose. patchouli, and oud. And if you're going to add legend to a perfume name, the fragrance should be legendary. This one absolutely isn't. This is a light sandalwood and rose fragrance that lingers around for 3 hours or so. I suppose it should have been a clue that the name is all wrong when leather and oud are top notes. Top notes can dissipate in seconds, and these certainly do. Aoud Legend is not horrible, but no one who buys a Montale fragrance ever dreams they'll be getting a light rose and sandalwood scent from them, or even that anything with aoud in its name could be light. Montale has made some legendary scents, at least in my opinion: Nepal Aoud, Dark Aoud, Red Vetiver. Buy one of them. Or beware that anything that calls itself legend right out of the gate (perfume lab) may have had that name attached to it to make it more saleable.

Starts with a blast of subtle oud, then saffron and light rose. For me, it almost immediately fades into a very soft skin scent. Super light version of Nepal Aoud. Pass

I received a sample today. This smells exactly like Ichtammol and it brings back very bad memories to me.

Just upped my YT review on this and New Rose. RealFrags for RealMen. It's not bad, not great, imo. Aoud on top of something nutty, and the perfromance is not on par with for example Aoud Musk. At all. So it's a pass for me, sorry.. Mark

Very similar to Mancera Wild Leather. Starts a bit feminine with a pink rose. But it quickly turns masculine, with lots of leather and saffron, initially balanced by ambergris and then by modern-style “oakmoss”. Not much oud, if any.
