Arabians Rose Leather

From the moment I first encountered Montale's Arabian Rose Leather, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. I received a 2ml sample with my main online purchase. It's got a nice, leather and rose combination. This one definitely feels more mature, better mixed and more unisex compared with Beast Love. I eventually left that sample at friend's place as it suited her better with her almost-all masculine or unisex perfume collection.

Arabians Rose Leather by Montale isn’t bad at all—it carries that instantly recognizable Montale DNA. Compared to older Montales in this scent family, it’s noticeably more toned down, less of a powerhouse. Despite the name, the rose takes a backseat here; this is very much a woody leather fragrance at heart. Honestly, it could’ve just been called Arabians Leather. While it’s well-blended and wearable, it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table if you already own other leathery Montales like Beast Love, Dark Vanilla, etc. A solid scent, but maybe a bit redundant.

i can definitely see the appeal for this, it’s just not for me. i dont catch much of the rose at all on my skin, its definitely a classic woody leather scent. lovely sillage and longevity though, and the notes work well together (i just dont think i like it for myself personally).

This is screechy, incredibly so. Synthetic headache inducing mess. Who would spray this on themselves willingly, I have no clue. Maybe screechy leather fanatics. Nothing close to the plush leather osmanthus of Cuir Intense. And I do like leather scents like V Guerlain Cuir Beluga, Peche Mirage, Cherry Oud, Cuir Intense; Armani Cuir Zarzura, Dior Cuir Saddle... but Montale isnt at their level!

The leather scent is so strong and medicinal that it could be used to disinfect the Hondius luxury cruise from the Hantavirus outbreak. It would also eradicate the rodents immediately

As with all the recent Montale releases, the performance is terrible. Their old releases were best modes and people associate beast mode with Montale, but Arabians rose leather is a skin scent. If you have tried Arabians Musk, subtract the powdery notes and add leather and it's pretty much the same. It doesn't smell like Ignite Out BUT it reminds me of it...a leathery darker version of Ignite Oud if you will, yet Ignite Oud is an absolute beast mode and is less than half the price. Disappointing.

I can't remember why I included this sample in my luckyscent order. I think I was hoping for more cedar and rose than leather and oud. Unfortunately leather and oud is all I get. Disclaimer that im recovering from an illness so my sense of smell might not be reliable, but right now this smells like walking past the automotive/tire service section of a walmart.

I don't like leather scents but this is actually very interesting. The rose note is sweet and almost lipstick/make up like...the leather is harsh in the first minutes but it gets a lot softer in the drydown... I think I like it. Not sure I can wear it....but it is very well done.

Montale is the greatest men's/unisex fragrance house, in my opinion. This, however, reminds me of the patient beds in doctors' offices. I prefer Black Aoud, Oud Tobacco, Patchouli Leaves and Honey Aoud.

DONT BLIND BUY, heavy on the leather and wood notes. Mature scent 40+ years old rose notes are none existent but classic Montale strong projection but awful smell

This reminds me of a softer Aoud exclusif flanker. It's nice and rose oriental driven.
