The initial spray does feel like a punch. I totally get the "chaotic and messy" note structure, it's a lot of things going on at the same time. I have received a 2ml sample from a friend so when I saw a full-sized bottle I can tell how the colours of the bottle could be misleading haha! I liked it because it lasted for hours on me and it's a big plus for me with fragrances. Maybe dry down is similar to Dark Vanilla, but Beast Love seems harsher for some reason.

I purchased a tester size of this fragrance and was drawn to it in a search for a "beast mode" fragrance to add to my collection. I have sprayed a generous amount on, and while I can still smell it, I am having trouble finding something to like about it. It doesn't smell bad, but it is not a stand out. I am hoping that it will develop into something else. It is that sort of fragrance that sticks in the back of your throat and leaves you wondering if you like it or not. It teeters on the edge of off-putting, which is likely the velvetier note. I don't think this will lead to a purchase of a full-sized bottle. After 15 min, I can still detect it on my skin if I smell directly where I sprayed it, and it smells like it is opening up into a softer, deeper, musky, smokey, plum with the slightest twang of something I cannot put my finger on, perhaps the combination of fruits. The scent did not linger on my clothing at all. My word vomit of a review is not unlike this particular fragrance. 30 min in and I am getting that pink McDonald's soap scent mentioned by another reviewer. What an chaotic scent journey!

Gave Beast Love by Montale a try, and overall, it’s pretty good. It has a similar drydown to Dark Vanilla, but they kick off in completely different ways. Both have an amber vanilla base and a leather-woody middle, but Beast Love stands out with its fruity and citrusy top notes. The pear note lingers subtly in the background as it dries down. If you’re looking for something with the warm, rich feel of Dark Vanilla but with a fresher, fruitier twist, Beast Love is a solid choice.

Agreed with previous reviews - very messy and chaotic. Starts heavy on the leather and smoke. The first smell is almost like smelling burnt rubber, very masculine. Within moments, almost seconds, that heaviness calms down and the fruity notes become more apparent. Very confusing perfume, you have to be somewhat bold to wear it.

Very hand soap-y, but not in a fun Acne Studios way. Someone more into that scent then I am will love this.

I have a 2 mL sample of this one. It has a very leathery opening and feels "sticky". Takes some time for the rose note to pop. Couldn't even detect the remaining listed notes. Not great 😞

Hahahaha the McDonald's soap comment is spot on, I can't unsmell it now 😭 I'll try my sample again in the winter but this is probably a huge pass.

It's so strange, it seems to me that something completely different was poured into my bottle. From the whole pyramid, I can only hear pear and vanilla. I tried to find at least some kind of leather, but I couldn't. An exclusively feminine composition, it smells like female deodorants for armpits

I got a sample and sprayed this on my girlfriend and she instantly hated it, i dont like it either. The Leather/plum and rose combo doesn't go well together. Like other reviews said its a messy perfume some people may like it but not for me nor my girlfriend.

First impressions. Smells like leather scented shower gel for men. Surprisingly clean and fresh for a leather fragrance. There is something fruity and floral, and I do get some pear and rose. However, I don't get any plum, vetiver or tonka. There is some musk, but it's a cold white musk, not a warm and fuzzy one. Some generic ambery notes. It's not bad, but not very interesting either. And the bottle design is misleading -- magenta and gold would suggest something feminine, floral, sweet or tender, i.e., all the things that this fragrance is not.

I hated the first 5-10 minutes of this scent. I said oh no...another sweet chemical soup...I went on with my day and ignored the scent. Around 20-30 minutes later I get this sensual, smooth... powdery suede note, a sweet rose and a deep beautiful amber...so coquette and intriguing...is this the same chemical mess I perceived a little ago? how come this is now a fancy flirty scent projecting strongly from my skin and distracting me to the point I have to be humble and admit I was wrong and judged it prematurely. I need a full bottle.

Does it smell nice? Eh sure! Kinda messy tho its weird. It's like they grabbed mancera jarden exclusif, spun a wheel of fortune and then added notes randomly... rose and leather. Gender wise its as unisex as erba pura imo, so feminine leaning for sure but wearable as long as you wear it with confidence as a man. I guess I could see myself wearing this on a medium warm summer day once or twice?

So just tested this after getting a sample.. this is weird as F. I get the plum I get the pear, smells very buttery, rose with the Vetiver.. yeah.. don’t blind buy this.

A bit chaotic but intriguing. Creamy leather would be a better name for it
