Chocolate Greedy

Why isn't anyone commenting on how this smells like those Nutella wafer biscuits/candy bars?!? It blows my mind nobody has mentioned that🤯. To my nose, this is a dry and powdery chocolate gourmand. The first 5 minutes involve the Nutella Wafer phenomenon (which has that crisp and flakey feel) with a hint of bitter orange, then the cocoa aspect comes in and stays until vanilla dry down comes around. I admit that I was NOT a fan when I first experienced this, I thought it was too chocolate-y. Thank goodness, the atomizer sprays a small amount, because I didn't think I could handle so much chocolate, for so many hours. I'm glad there's a vanilla dry down, it truly balances out Greedy. I also love that there are stages in this fragrance; the Wafer and orange combo, the chocolate, the vanilla. This is my to go winter fragrance now, this and Eilish. I love that this is a powdery, comforting, cozy scent that leaves a trail, and last forever!!! I know I sound like a broken record, but it's genius that the atomizer sprays very little; as if they knew a little goes a long way with this fragrance. 🤎 BLIND BUY IT. It's a safe blind buy. If you like Nutella, if you gourmand this is up your alley you can't go wrong. I do have to say, I own Choco Musk (I see alot of comparisons), and although they're both chocolate forward, to me, they're not in similar? Chocolate Greedy is more dry, "crispy" & powdery thanks to that wafer note, and and Choco Musk is "fluffy", slightly powdery and the oil smells like chocolate chapstick. (Sorry y'all, that's just what I smell) BUT that's 8$ compared to however much you want to spend on this. (I got mine for $55👌) My only complaint is that Chocolate Greedy bottle is opaque, and even though I got the biggest size (3.4, 100 ml) the bottle is actually cute and tiny.

When compared to Choco Musk, the similarities in the dry down are striking. Choco Musk offers a distinct sandalwood and muskiness, leaning toward a sweeter milk chocolate profile that many reviewers have noted—and I wholeheartedly agree with. While Choco Musk feels more like a fragrance for daytime, Chocolate Greedy is undeniably crafted for those enchanting date nights. Chocolate Greedy reveals a powdery allure, featuring prominent notes of hot chocolate, vanilla, citrus, and nutty undertones. Layering it with Posh Chocolate by Lush creates an olfactory experience that is simply heavenly. Though I may be late to join the fanfare for this fragrance, it truly lives up to the praise and leaves me with nothing but admiration.

People get different things from this... but what we can all agree with is that its a gourmand... What I get in the air after freshly spraying this is not chocolate per se, but more of a baked cookie smell. Its soft, its sweet, but its beastly at the same time. Projects like crazy but in a soft way and lasts on the skin a very long time. To me this is the ultimate gourmand. I did a review on it about 7 years ago on my youtube channel. I tried to start a hype but it didn't catch on lol. to me... To put it simply....This is a willy wonka masterpiece. It is a carnival in a friggin bottle.. First you get the smell of baked chocolate chip cookies, then as this sucker dries down I get the exact smell I have gotten many times throughout life at ocean side board walks, festivals and carnivals.. I can smell the buttered popcorn popping, the cotton candy spinning,, the toffee pulling...I just get that overall sweet and savory smell I would get walking down the board walk in seaside smelling the air.. All they had to do is add a slight aquatic salt note and call it the board walk.. Oh yeah and also i forgot the candy toasted cashews.. the whole shabang.. I am not usually the artsy perfume guy, but this one certainly takes me on a journey. I close my eyes and I am a kid again with my mom (rest in peace) at seaside heights at night.. Those were good memories.. this is edible stuff.. and it brings me back to happier times. Scent 5/5 Performance 5/5

I did not know how to feel about this fragrance at first, but I notice myself reaching for Chocolate Greedy time and time again for my aromatherapy sessions. Recently, I have been exploring photorealistic perfumes, and this frag keeps popping up as one of the most reccomended realistic gourmand scents. I had to try it. Judging from its name (always a bad idea), I was expecting a more (dark) chocolate forward scent. I did get a burst of strong cocoa (supported with the coffee) on the initial spray. However, it quickly turns into tart oranges and dried fruits with a slight biscuit-like scent. The chocolate was there, but not as prominent as I thought it would be. Later on, the tartness of the orange gives way to a sweeter milk chocolate scent with vanilla. Overall the scent reminds me of those artisan chocolate bars that have dried fruits and cookies stuck to the back. A very happy scent :) I think most people got caught off guard by the orange and dried fruit notes. But if you enjoy citrus scents and are trying to get into gourmand fragrances, this could be a good start for you. Please do test if your body chemistry agrees with this scent before committing to a bottle.

They did amazing to pull off something that is classy and almost seductive... Yet overtly gourmand. First spray is orange chocolate. The orange fades after 30 minutes, then this becomes a rich creamy dark chocolate (not like that bitter 90% dark chocolate.. no no.. this is lighter than that). There is a touch of hazelnut goodness that makes this really delicious. Some cocoa butter type vanilla is here. I can't smell the coffee. Rather than the coffee notes making this a 'coffee perfume', it 'warms' the fragrance IMO. It's not a cool or minty chocolate... This is warm and satisfying. When I walk past people 30 minutes after a spray, they turn heads. Yes, it's over $100. But nothing compares to this 100%. Choco musk is a great dupe, but you can definitely own both of those and enjoy both in different ways. The quality of Montale is palpable. Decadent. While it's a tad more feminine than overtly unisex, I would actually love this on a man so much. The vanilla is not a floral vanilla: it's a cocoa type vanilla. The chocolate isn't sucrosey /syrupy: it's rich and dark. So, really, this would be incredible on anyone... It's flexible.

Oh. My. God. This is the most photorealistic chocolate I have ever smelt. It is straight up chocolate. Somewhat deep, slightly milky, biscuity, hazelnutty with orange zest and cacao dust. Wow, impressive achievement to encapsulate in a bottle. Now, even though I'm a lover of gourmands through and through, this is a bit too on the nose (excuse the pun) even for me. I think if you like it, it can be an excellent layering piece, but it's hard for me to imagine smelling like just chocolate and feeling sophisticated. I'd guess on a woman it would layer nicely with jasmine, tuberose, ylang ylang, or a spicy woody fragrance. On a man, with something smoky woody, aromatic, boozy or lightly citrussy. If you have ever tried Amore Café by Mancera or it's Arabian dupe Tiramisu coco by Zimaya, I'd say they are comparable. Those two, however, depict a sharper sour beutric acid type American chocolate with boozy almondy amaretto; whereas this one is like true Swiss milk chocolate with appropriately mild sweetness. The king of all gourmands in my opinion - truly honest and edible.

Chocolate Greedy lives up to its name remarkably well. It is a warm, gourmand and very powerful fragrance that does not go unnoticed. One anecdote perfectly sums up its effect: arriving to see a friend, she immediately reacted with "wow, that's insane, it smells like chocolate," almost mistaking it for a fresh waffle. When I let her smell my arm, she laughed and said her boyfriend should absolutely never wear this, otherwise she would want to bite him all the time, to the point of being jealous of my girlfriend. The opening can catch you off guard, with a slightly powdery quality that I don't particularly enjoy. But after about fifteen minutes, the fragrance transforms completely into a sweet, almost caramelized chocolate, far more gourmand and addictive. It is a fragrance that attracts a tremendous amount of attention and compliments, with a true signature. Intense, enveloping and unapologetic, it will suit perfectly those who love bold, gourmand fragrances.

Mmmm...It is indeed delicious. This perfume makes me feel like I can smell a cookie recipe, this cookie contains cocoa Dutch powder, orange zest or candied orange peels, vanilla extract, tiniest bit of instant coffee to bring out the chocolate notes.... The citrus and a bit of coffee helps it escape the smell of synthetics, to me the citrus never wears down its always subtle team player to support the delicious brownie chocolatey smell. I don't know what else to say, its decadent and edible, photo realistic scent of a baked good. Longevity, silage, performance they're all kind of mid nearing great to me. But I won't take it down a notch in my rating because that's almost every single perfume on my skin , or so I've learnt :eyeroll: Wearing it, it best shines in cold weather, and at least to me it is not situational at all. I'd want to smell like this everywhere, or maybe I'm obnoxious, maybe. o(〃^▽^〃)o

"This is delicious" The exact words I said when I tried this. It smells EXACTLY like rich, powdery chocolate. With a glimmer of dried cirtus fruits, and a nutty warmth, this is a liquid gourmand dessert. Kudos to Pierre Montale for absolutly nailing this with photo realism. Chocolate Greedy is dark, airy and luxurious. It's a wealthy confectionary tycoon, wearing a crushed velvet jacket and brooding in his smoking room, while writing letters with a fountain pen dipped in espresso. It is quite a quirky scent, which when worn on its own gets alot of comments or compliments, but can also be layered with other dark or boozy fregrances to create something new entirely. Add that performance is top notch, I think this is a worthwhile purchase for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Omg this is so good i love this. The only Montale scent that works for me as so far everything I've tried from his line just speeds into overly loud and masculine on my skin. This is a tasty, warm vanilla cocoa on me and I genuinely dislike most vanillas. It hovers towards one note ...some tart orange makes an appearance but its faint. it's a great realistic, scrumptious chocolate that takes you on a olfactory journey through creamy high quality hot chocolate on a snowy day experience. The first spray is like when you open a hot coco powder tin and there's a bloom of chocolate sugar dust inhalation. Recommend for gourmond fans. I found a travel size thats not in the lightweight bottles and has a better atomizer.

There are many excellent reviews of this perfume, but here is my comparison of CSP Amour de Cacao, Chocolate Greedy and Serendipitous. All are very gourmand without the complexity of say, Guerlain's Charnel Gourmand Coquin (a "floral chocolate"). Amour has a much stronger orange zest blast at the opening and dries down very creamy and sweet - like milky hot chocolate. Greedy is more of a dark chocolate. The coffee keeps it interesting, without adding a woodsy or fruity tone. It's still sweet, but not in a milk chocolate way. Serendiptious is divine chocolate orange-zest candy floss, but has very poor sillage and lasting power. Am I bad to love all three?

I really enjoy this one! Very nutty! Reminds me of a popular fragrance I do not like: Shea by The Body Shop. This is way more gourmand. It has bitter chocolate and coco. It smells like fragrant vanilla too. So much nutty desert cake. It doesn't smell overly sweet. This may be the first nutty fragrance that I have liked. Chocolate is always an impression in fragrance. The description really seems vast to me. I think this fragrance captures chocolate as a graceful snack that is as enjoyable as chocolate but not quite the IT chocolate. I recommend trying this if you like nutella and coffee mate- hazelnut creamer is this fragrance.

Omg I love it, why didn’t I get it any sooner?! 😍😋 As soon as I spray it, I get a photorealistic milky, and slightly powdery chocolate scent. To me it’s the exact same chocolate smell of Mancera Choco Violette, but without the violet aspect ofc. The choc smell doesn’t last for too long unfortunately 💔, the dry down smells completely different from the opening. I do start to get a little hint of the bitter orange in the dry down, however I don’t smell the coffee note at all. Overall, I love this, and don’t mind having to respray. Can’t wait to wear this during autumn/winter, and explore layering it with other scents!

This fragrance was the first pickup I grabbed from Montale. This sorta reminds me of the Terry's Chocolate Orange which I used to have a lot when I was younger, but with a dark chocolate instead of that milky chocolate you get. The only complaint I have really with this would have to be in the first 5-10 minutes of spraying this, where the chocolate could feel a bit harsh. After that though, its very gourmand and has a strong projection like a nice mocha with the touch of the coffee note. Overall, I give this an 9/10, as I feel if it were a little less harsh on the start It'd be better, dry down is amazing though.

i only have a sample, but this has become one of my go-to layering fragrances. the first time i tried it i thought it smelled like sugary cereal, but as i’ve sat with it it’s become this beautiful creamy chocolate with vanilla essence. i happened to have a lot of fragrances that i think would do good with a little chocolatey boost, and i haven’t been let down yet. currently wearing it with commodity’s milk+ for a s’mores scent, and im in heaven. it’s wonderful on its own too, i’m just not the sort of person who can walk around smelling purely like chocolate. i will also say that the longevity is impressive.

First time I wore this at school a girl said (at the end of day after I had applied it at about 7:30 in the morning, and while standing about 6 feet away from me and OUTSIDE) that it smelled like cupcakes. I asked if it was possibly the perfume I was wearing (chocolate greedy by montale) and after smelling my wrist slightly closer up she said that it was. Moral of the story: this perfume smells amazing, last a super long time, and projects incredibly well the entire time. 10/10 would recommend for any lover of gourmand perfumes. It is VERY sweet though so if you get headaches easily be weary of that fact.

I usually don’t like gourmands but this is pretty good. To me, it smells like orange cookies mixed with chocolate protein powder; The orange is neither bitter nor too sweet and it blends perfectly on the fragrance, the chocolate comes off as cocoa powder but in a way that reminds me of protein powder (in a good way). I thought this was going to be overwhelmingly sweet or too feminine but no, as a male that’s sensitive to gourmand scents, this is perfectly balanced and good, might have to check other Montale’s... Sweet, chocolatey and powdery; super delicious smelling.

sprayed this hours before my uni tutorial and got loads of compliments about how delicious I smelled. The projection is great and it lasts on clothes forever. Only problem is that the initial spray packs a punch and makes me cough every time, and its easy to get sick/tired of if you wear it often. I'm also not a fan of citrus or oranges but the initial orange note brings gorgeously sharp depth and complements the chocolate which I like. Definitely layer this with a similar body oil like the Palmer's cocoa oil and it insanely boost its performance.
