Crystal Flowers

Another incredible rose fragrance. Niche roses do stand on a different level of quality than less expensive versions, I have to say. Crystal Flowers is all rose to me. I don't smell any musk, or any of the other listed notes. I just smell rose, a many-faceted rose. There is fresh rose, sweet rose, slightly jammy Stella rose, pink peppery Par Amour rose, and also a tinge of spicier Parfum Sacre rose. It doesn't smell like any of those on its own, so it isn't exactly replaceable by those perfumes. This is all types of roses in one flower. Quite sweet, but not powdery. Lasts over 24 hours in my hair. I'd say after a full day of wearing the musk comes out more on me, but it's always rose and musk, never just musk. Super impressive to have that delicious rose note wear so long and so pure. Great rose for those slightly chillier spring days, as it's quite strong and sweet. This fragrance is not crystalline in that it's cold itself - but it is transparent and pure in essence, like a crystal flower. I have crystal roses in a vase at home - I guess this perfume is like them as in no rose smells like this: like all variants of roses. Crystal Flowers is a magical fairy rose that, when you turn it, reflects the beautiful smells of all roses surrounding it. Love it. If you are a rose lover, you should try this.

A really beautiful rich rose scent, accented with just the right amount of lily of the valley and musk. A hint of softening amber unfurls in the dry-down. It's very feminine and distinct, surely a dream for rose lovers. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews. This also really stays with you,projecting in a very subtle and delicate way, so just when you think it's gone you move and the pretty smell wafts out. My only qualm would be that there are many beautiful rose scents, so the price makes this one less appealing, but if you can go for niche prices then this one is worth it. Also if you're like me and you love the original Stella but it doesn't work so well on your skin (the orange being too predominant) definitely try this. An enchanting fairy-tale red rose fragrance, perfect for feeling romantic and feminine. Recommended. EDIT: This actually wears on my skin very much like Narciso Rodriguez for her EDP, a very musky rose.

smells similar to the roses musk fragrance to me. what i like about these montale fragrances is that they smell exactly like how'd you imagine, but not in a cheap way. this has a beautiful powdery floral scent to me. in a way, this smells similar to one of the miss dior fragrances to me. however, this smells less grandma-like to me. i love the montale fragrances a lot because i find that this is the one fragrance brand that lasts the best on me with MINIMAL sprays. they're powerful and totally worth their prices, and people can smell you from afar. anywho, i think that this fragrance best fits the daytime spring/summer occasions. it's very feminine and girly in my opinion. longevity for me is great, around 6 hours. so if you're into floral girly fragrances, this is the fragrance for you!

Crystal Flowers smells so delicious. I recently received Montale's Roses and Flowers discovery kit and was incredibly disappointed by Montale's Roses Musk and Rose Night; they smell practically identical on my skin. Both scents are violently plastic--and rubbing alcohol combined. Crystal Flowers is a GOOD rose. Delicate, NATURAL, Romantic, Happy. Today, I layered my sample of Crystal Flowers with my bottle of NR for Her EDP for an extra boost of musk--to get the sort of outcome I was hoping Roses Musk would be. One downside is sillage; other scents from the same house have been absolute sillage monsters on me--but this one is moderate.

Crystal Flowers had been my staple scent for many years. I remember when I first smelled this perfume on my girlfriend I immediately fell in love with it. I had to have it! I always received numerous complements wearing it from men and women alike. Over the years I went through 5 or 6 bottles and still using it today. I like the bottle as it's very light and easy to carry it on your purse. The only thing is that the top is constantly falling off and is easy to lose.:( It's a very strong perfume and you need to be confident enough to wear it as you will get a lot of attention. One if my favorites to this day.

OKAY, LISTEN. I still have it on my wrist. It’s February 2022. I do not understand why the bottle is pink, my association is white/orange. I see an elegant woman in a white, maybe a soft beige classic midi pencil-dress with some lillies and some oranges in her hands. But these are not really mandarines, much more a sweet orange/passionfruit thing. It does not smell roseyy to me at all. Its a clean, warm perfume, but soo addictive. Could not stop to smell it. I believe it is a beautiful wedding scent.

Love this rose. It's happy. It's elegant without snobbery. It's graceful. The combo of rose and lily of the valley is dy-no-mite! I adore the musk tweeking in the background. A fantastic spring fragrance with great sillage and longevity. Crystal Flowers is great on its own or layered with another floral or amber to make something truly wonderful. I layer this with Montale Intense Roses Musk to create a compliment getter.

Oh, this is divine. Very, very gentle and feminine rose and citrus, I don't get any L-O-V (a good thing), but I do get the most gentle floral I've tried in a long, long time. The sillage is very good, but not too much. Worth every penny. Sophisticated, elegant, dreamy and romantic. All that.

I got this as a sample from Lucky Scent and I love it. It starts out with citrus and delicate musk and then blooms with rose and lily of the valley. It lasts for several hours. It is not too sweet on me. It's worth a larger bottle!

Amazing floral scent, fresh in the opening with citrus and lily of the valley, then it turns into a feminine sweet fragrance with rose and amber and a hint of musk. Longlasting, great quality, it's a Montale ;-) I ADORE IT.

A light sweet rose scent but without any candy notes. This rose is refreshing, comforting and playful.If I were to wear a simple rose scent this would be it.

It's similar to wesal silver but without the oud note.

Soapy and sweet rose, quite linear. There's a honey-like note in the heart. Lily-of-the-valley gives it a clean and pure, almost virginal vibe (hence the "crystal" in the name) but the sweet pink rose keeps it flirty and coquettish. I agree it has something similar to "Red Roses" by Jo Malone, but without that annoying beeswax base note that turns the whole thing bitter for me. It's still around 0°C outside, I wonder if it will behave differently when days get warmer. It already seems like the perfect way to greet springtime, I can't wait to wear it with a pretty teadress or a frilly top - something not too serious and fun! Update: now in August it's warm and this rose really shines! It's sweeter than it was in colder weather and the honey-like sweetness is more prominent. A very good candidate for an everyday rose! Simple, but not boring.

Crystal Flowers is that friend who insists she’s “just popping by brunch for one mimosa,” but somehow ends up in every group photo looking radiant and suspiciously effortless. She’s wearing something breezy and floral, smells faintly of rosewater and good decisions. It’s not groundbreaking. It’s not mysterious. But it’s beautiful in the same way a crisp white shirt or a perfect peach is beautiful. Think rose petals + a hint of citrus that mellows into a quiet musky dry-down. Simple, clean, and quietly confident. As someone who prefers lighter fragrances, this was my gateway Montale. But fair warning: this is a polite fragrance. She’s not conquering continents; she’s conquering compliments from three feet away. Longevity depends on your skin chemistry... fades after a few hours on me.

Crystal flowers should be named Hazy Rose in my opinion. It is a wearable light rose fragrance that is not sharp but not quite creamy either. I got this as a ScentBird sample and I had more compliments on it than any other fragrance in my collection - which was surprising because I think it's "meh" at best. I only smell it when I put my nose close to my skin however people around me seem to smell it from 5 - 10 feet away and think I smell gorgeous. Something must radiate from my skin that isn't apparent to my nose. Either way, I ended up buying a full bottle solely based on the fact that it was high compliment getter for me....and it still is - strange! I wear it when I have no idea what else to wear that day, but I never crave wearing it for its scent alone.

Rose petals jam, you can almost taste it. This is not a medicinal/leather rose, this is a sweet rose water dessert. A cushion of musk, powder, a bit of amber. Can`t spot any lily of the valley or citrus though. Feminine, sweet, old-fashioned type of rose that is used to make jams and rose water. Plus some powdery musk. (For the fellow gardeners: the rose smell reminds of Gertrude Jekyll, Comtes de Chambord, Zephirine Drouhin, etc) Regarding its comparison to Roses Musk by Montale- No, Crystal flowers is 3 times more powdery, airy and light. Roses Musk is loaded with spice and strong jasmine.

Hmm. I expect very, very strong fragrances from Montale. They are usually one spray perfumes for me. Crystal Flowers is totally different. It's very gentle rose water. And I mean rose water. I could bathe in this stuff and it wouldn't be too potent. Five sprays and I'm just lightly scented with a delicate (pleasant) rose and a slightly musky/floral background. There is nothing offensive about this scent, but nothing that really stands out either. Clear, bright roses. That's it. Not full bottle worthy but I'll probably save the rest of my decant for summer and enjoy this in the heat.

Montale has a Point with this floral wonder. It opens with a wonderful marriage of Rose and Lily. The white musk is a companion to all the notes from the beginning to the end. It is not a simple and banal rose but a rose linked to the sacred world. Do you remember the fragrant "rosaries" in wood? Same thing. If you are in spring / summer and want to go on a pilgrimage, there is no better fragrance. Churches, Statues, Marbles: All this is this JEWEL! In my opinion, the best rose!

This perfume is a mixture between roses and lily of the valley (with a touch of musk; less present versus Roses musk of Montale), very fresh, soapy and clean. If you like floral perfumes, you need to try it. More for spring and summer (versus Montale's Roses Musk more for fall and winter). Sillage and longevity are very very good with my skin, like all the Montale perfumes. 7/10 for spring and summer, for all the occasion (office, day, night, etc).

Very nice and natural smelling rose scent. A little musky, fresh and somehow romantic. The bottle was pink though, not the one on the picture. So I think this pink bottle was great for it, as the scent is so feminine and pretty. Lily of the valley isn't bad smelling in it. It mixes very nicely with the rose and amber. A good one from Montale.

This is what Bulgarian roses smell like. This fragrance took me there!!! Every shop there is full of soaps, sprays, hair products, creams with this exact scent! The fragrance has the same signature of montage fragrances but still this one I remembered the most! Wearable and very nice rosy scent😍

The same rose used in Montale's Roses Musk or Mancera's Roses Vanille, but CRYSTAL FLOWERS then adds the same scents as CHLOE but with a Montale/Mancera rose. It smells very similar to Roses Musk, but has more going on. If you own one, you don't need the other.

Beautiful and uncommon. drydown smooth, sillage good- not overpowering. long lasting- great staying power.

Delicate rose made of glass transparent floating

It's okay, but nothing special about it.

Bulgarian rose oil diluted in a glass of fresh and very cold water. Faint smell of lilies from a garden. There's an elegant young woman standing at the window and smoking Sobranie super slim white cigarettes. "Crystal Flowers" really gives me a crystal cold feel, but still manages to be very different from fresh rose scents like Paul Smith Rose or Yves Rocher Rose Fraiche. This rose is accompanied with a strange note that is almost similar to tobacco. Can't decide what's playing with my imagination... Ambergris? Not oriental by any criterion. It's a very serene, elegant and pleasant rose scent which becomes kind of creamy when it dries down. It smells very sensual, optimistic, utterly sophisticated. Something you wouldn't wear with denim. For cold and rainy spring mornings. P.S. Many Montales smell synthetic and artificial but not this one. One of the most natural smelling rose scents I've tried so far.

The opening of this fragrance is so lovely: sweet rose along with some zesty citrus. It is indeed so nice that I was inclined to overspray a bit when I wore the fragrance for the first time. However, a few minutes later, that sharp Montale musk comes out and it is here to stay for what feels like an eternity. The drydown is dominated by that musky sharpness and sometimes the rose also gets a chance to shine through. Crystal Flowers is definitely for lovers of musk and sharp fragrances, less for rose purists.

The orange is this is nice. However this perfume is not that special. Perfumer’s Workshop Tea Rose for £10 is a strong and grabs people’s attention more. That the most authentic rose perfume. I would buy la rose mfk over crystal flowers because when Mason Francis makes perfumes they projector really well and can fill up a room.

Fresh roses and orange juice from concentrate. A little splash of linen and crisp air . Doesn’t have the montale twang to it, so it more feminine for sure . I could wear it but would not buy it .

This fragrance was a random sample vial, included in a number of other Montale samples I ordered. Started out with rose, intense, powdery dried rose petals. If you like a rose fragrance, or something that has rose in the top notes, this will be good thing. Unfortunately, I don't. I grow many scented varieties of roses and have yet to find a rose fragrance to compete with the real thing. When I finally got past the rose, For me, Crystal Flowers finished with similar notes to Intense Cafe. I didn't detect any mandarin or lily of the valley. I am fairly certain that I will prefer the other Montales that I have yet to sample. This trail started in the New Year when I sampled Black Opium. (See review). At the suggestion of a niche perfumery, I tried Montale Intense Cafe, to see if I could handle the dry down any better. So now I am going to work my way thru some other Montale frags, including some aouds. Stay tuned.

Omg...I thought I was REALLY going to adore this fragrence b/c i love so many mancera and montale perfumes...but NO...a BIG NO for me....This is SO sharp and strong I got an instant head ache. It was like a fragrence bomb for hours, I wanted to shower, and get it off SO BAD, I couldn't escape it! So sharp, so metallic rosey, and musk. Not authentic rose imo. Roses vanille is great, instant crush is great, jardin great, velvet Vanilla great, Arabians Tonka great, and I also like instant cafe but NOT this. Sorry.

I was really excited to finally try Crystal Flowers. Unfortunately, this fragrance did not agree with my body chemistry. On me, Crystal Flowers smells like artificial rose and musk. It was not pleasant on me and that broke my heart. So much so that I refuse to give up on it just yet. I will put my samples to the side for a bit and come back to it again in the spring. Maybe when the cold weather breaks, Crystal Flowers will blend better with my body chemistry.

Roses and Musk and that's all. Linear. Not interesting. Too similar to Roses Musk. I have a cold type of skin. Testing in about +5 C

meh. I expected more from this house. This is very generic rose water, to me. More sweet musk than rose.

One of the most hideous scents I’ve ever tried. Lucky it was only a decant and I gave it away. I enjoy a wide variety of scents from many scent families but this one is so gross. It smells straight up metallic to me.

All I can say is scented bug spray. I scrubbed it off after 10 minutes. So glad I just got a sample.

Montale makes excellent Middle Eastern-inspired perfumes. Most anything with the word 'aoud' in the name is going to be a worthy representative of the ever-growing class of aoud perfumes. Once one steps out of the aoud range, however, everything is up for grabs, and it's anyone's guess what the perfume may be like! CRYSTAL FLOWERS is a good example of a Montale which might have been a mainstream designer launch. It smells fine to me, a perfectly wearable office-ready, inoffensive fruity-floral frag. The flowers are abstract but not to the point of being unwearable. This composition reminds me of perfumes such as Creed SPRING FLOWER or Bond no 9 CHELSEA FLOWERS, both of which, too, fit into the category of office-ready inoffensive fruity floral frags. This really is a genre by now, and when I say fruity-floral, I mean more abstract floral than fruity, but there is a touch of fruity to give the overall composition a brightness. The musk used, too, is clear and clean, not dark and sweaty. This is a twenty-first-century type of perfume which has gained a legion of followers in the last few years. In some ways it may seem superficial, but it is also likable to many consumers. Precisely because this sort of perfume is the sort of thing one runs into at Sephora among the current bestsellers, it may not be the wisest investment of one's big Montale bucks. Try before you buy.

Crystal Flowers (tested from dabber) Very pleasing and lady-like. This is sample worthy for lovers of roses. It opens with roses, I'm thinking of beautiful pink roses. The orange is very delicate underneath the roses causing it to be fresh and radiant. The florals are soft, clean and green with musk. There is soft amber adding warmth to the scent. The official Montale website states that there is Ambergris in Crystal Flowers, I'm disappointed to say that it is too soft and well-blended on my skin. Crystal Flowers does not develop much on my skin, but that is all right, I think that it is easy to wear it year around, and could be very pleasing to others.

Crystal Flowers - what a nice name for this perfume. The fragrance opens with a slightly sharp, fresh, bright rose accord with mandarine. Later the musk joins to the rose, and adds the "crystal" quality to the composition. After the drydown the fragrance sweetens up a bit, becomes softer, and more close to the skin. I don't detect much ambery notes, thanks goodness - but some years ago I had a half bottle (gold coloured) of Crystal Flowers, and I remembered to it as a much more ambery-spicy fragrance after the drydown. I didn't like that overwhelming ambery note, so I don't mind the lack of amber now in this. Maybe it is a new version (pink bottle)?

We are facing record cold here in the Midwest. -20F plus windchill. This was not a great choice this morning. The cold killed it. I sprayed it and this was one heavenly scent. Not long lasting....I am going to save this lovely treasure for the spring when it is warmer. I bet this scent will POP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT a cold weather scent. The mysteries of perfumes. And I love a good mystery. Fast forward to May. Temps today were low 80'sF....touched my sample to sniff it...O.OH.MY....this perfume needs warmth and spring to lure out its best. Love it.

I've smelled this rose in many fragrances... a lovely light pink rose, with fresh dew drops still on the petals from the brisk early morning. I mostly get this pale pink rose, with a good dose of sweet powder underneath. The lily, and powder stops this from going syrupy sweet, like roses vanille as an example. This will be a lovely rose to wear in the spring, with minimal spritses, as overspraying can cause this rose, and powder to become suffocating. A sprits or two will keep it fresh, not too dense.

This is the same as Roses Musk. If you have that one you don't need this. If you have this you don't need Roses Musk. They are exactly the same, can't emphasise that enough. Maybe if you have the nose of a bloodhound there is some kind of tiny nuanced difference somewhere, but I can't detect it. Get whichever you find cheaper. Maybe if I test them side by side I will notice something but right now I'm convinced this is the same thing. Will do a side by side sometime.

I can summarize it in one sentence: Wore it at 12pm, at 22pm got compliments 💪. Comparison to roses musk: They are not the same but close, same family. Both florals, both strong, both perfumes to wear all year around. If you're rose fan - go on roses musk, the rose is tha main accord. If you prefer more flowers and vanilla musk this is the one for you.

I bought a simple for this fragrance. Love at first sight. Afterthat, I bought a 50 ml EDT and I became a so disappointed. Longevity is so poor max half- one hour and sillage is very soft. Among Montale perfumes it is the the biggest disappointment. Otherwise I have a lot of Montale favourites. For example White musk, Red Oud etc.

Very feminine and soft. Smells different from other florals. Not loud or aboding...but sexy, delicate and wimsical... Good projection and staying power. The rose mxed with the mandarine is quite interesting while the amber provides some depth. A good rose...not a sick rose...I am quite picky about my roses...if you get my drift.

Vintage, grannyish rose with some other vintage aromatics surrounding it. I could best describe them as a hazy, white floral arrangement with a faded freshness; alongside a semi-sweet musk in the background. Possibly a treat for anyone nostalgic to this particular style—but a probably hard pass for anyone else.

If you want a designer amped up a little, but not jump into niche..this is it. It reminds me of a Narciso yet it has an animalic naughty bit whiff to support it. Very rose, lilly of the valley gives it a fresh look and the musk keeps it from veering cold.

I'm not sure what happened with this fragrance. I had a sample of it and fell in love. I went and purchased a full sized at a premium price and I hate it. It smells like a old lady with moth balls in her closet. So disappointed ☹️.
