Fantastic Basilic

Fantastic Basilic is a very realistic smelling parfum. I love Basilic and use it freshly in my cup of tea and cooking.The fresh herb aroma is like Rosemary and lavendel, it gave me an instant energy and relaxation at the same time. It's now 34 Celcius in The Netherlands, too bad the strong fresh aroma didn't last longer on me than an hour or so. Very weak performance. For the presentation, green bottle would suit it much better than a metallic. I don't get the Frangipani and Tuberose, all i can smell is freshly chopped/grind Basilic. I want my parfum to last and project very well, this one is not but i still bought it on 40%discount just for the smell of basilic otherwise i'll save it for another parfum.

On a test paper strip: very herbal, medicinal, sharp basil. As realistic as it gets - maybe with just a hint of something dry and woody, but definitely no discernible notes besides just basil. It even made me a little uncomfortable, since smelling of basil that strongly is usually good for an Italian pizza, but not so sure if that would be true for a person. On my skin: a complete 180-degree transformation. I can barely smell the basil, instead it's just juicy, zingy citrus on a sweet benzoin base, with a bit of green unisex herbiness. Leaves a trail that smells mostly sweet to others. I like that the citrus note here is not your typical lemon or orange - I feel like kumquat has some bitterness to it, so it makes the scent a bit more unique. Even though I'm usually not a fan of green and citrusy fragrances, this one pleasantly surprised me!

Very fresh masculine scent that I can't help but like, but not as a perfume. The moment I sniffed 'Fantastic Basilic' I had a huge smile on my face. Warning people: This has a VERY DOMINENT BASIL note. To me this smells like summer in Rome - Imagine this: you're sitting outside at a café and a young Italian man next to you orders a margarita PITZA topped with TONS of fresh basil. That's it, that's this fragrance. tl;dr - This is a fresh authentic margarita pizza perfume. Proceed with caution. Unless you're into it :))

This one opens up with some fresh basil and a little sweetness. The basil is not overbearing or anything. In the mid there are just a little bit of white florals nothing crazy. Then it transitions to a nice fresh herbal woody spicy drydown. So far, I have been getting positive feedback when wearing it. I'm digging this one. 💚 It will be great for spring and summer. 😁

I was curious about this one. I always love the smell when I’m having a basil plant in my grocery bag. And I was wondering how it would fit in a wearable perfume. I think Montale did a great job with this one. It’s a well captured smell of basil that is very realistic and natural and it lays on top of a tuberose composition. To my nose this smells like Diptyque-Do Son with a fresh spicy green basil note on top. It’s very unique and sample worthy. I think perfumes doesn’t know gender so every one can pull this off although the tuberose makes it pretty feminine in the mass opinion. Longevity isn’t that great for a Montale especially the most important Basil note doesn’t last that long. Sample before you buy, but this is a nice well done Spring/Summer freshy
