Holy Neroli

I got samples of this, Oud Island and Lucky Candy back in April and forgot to review them except OI. This is interesting. I very much see the resemblance to Neroli Portofino and also see the similarities with LDBS but it reminds me of something else too that I can't think of* It's much more sharp than LDBS and the florals are more noticeable. It's got a bit of a pissy, honeyed floral scent though. You know when you walk past real flowers or a flower shop and they smell like piss? 😂 Is that what people mean by indolic? I don't know how to explain it but it smells very much like real flowers to me. It's basically LDBS without marshmallow. Like a fresher version. Less animalic too. The civet in LDBS is very noticeable. Either way, I love them both. I prefer LDBS because I love sweet scents but this is really nice. I don't think it's similar to Oriana, that's much more creamy, fruity and sweet. *I actually think this is very similar to Dior Tendre Poison. That has bergamot, mandarin orange, orange blossom, rose, musk and vanilla so it's got a lot of notes in common. I thought it reminded me of something else immediately and it's this. That's got honey in and this smells like it has.

If Sintra from Memo Paris was too sweet in the dry down or too sharp in the opening, then Holy Neroli might be a welcomed change of pace. I love Sintra and I am a fan of Holy Neroli because it doesn’t feel totally redundant in my arsenal despite sharing many of the same notes with the Memo Paris offering. Moreover, the projection and longevity of Holy Neroli are about average which is a win in my book. In sum, Holy Neroli could be a really pleasant fragrance for a lover of citrusy (slightly soapy) white florals with a bit of sweetness and a mostly unisex feel to them.

This has the signature thick, staticky feel of Montale fragrances upon first spray but if you can get past it though you’ll find that the dry down of this fragrance is divine. It’s spritely yet sophisticated at the same time. Not office safe but I can definitely picture someone wearing this whilst having mimosas at a beach side cafe. A few spritzes of this is fine and will give the perfect sillage, anything more and you’ll be condemning everyone around you to headaches.

Received this as a sample from Montale. It’s great!! In my opinion way better than Tom Ford take on Neroli! TF reminds me a Turkish hand sanitizer! This one is so much better! Neroli is prominent in the opening and then takes a back seat and white florals start to shine! Can this performing really well in summer! I’m a man and see this as a total unisex fragrance

Marrakesh in a bottle. Just because we had an orange tree in front of the terrace of the hotel and the perfume of the orange flowers was amazing. It’s exactly that. Great to finally find that memory in a bottle.

This is a very classy white floral citrus fragrance with great projection and longevity.The rose and sweetness makes this egible for use in winter aswell and its versatile.This is a great unisex scent

i had it for like two or three months, this gives me the vibe of a luxury hotel lobby, it is simple and mass appealing, it last 8 hours on my skin but it doesn’t project well.

I recently purchased five sizable Montale Perfume decants. I selected "Holy Neroli" because its notes appear similar to the discontinued "Orange Flowers." I own and LOVE Orange Flowers, so I thought I'd give Holy Neroli a try. And while there are many similarities between Montale "Orange Flowers" and "Holy Neroli," the fragrances are quite different. You can see this by reviewing the perfume notes in each fragrance. Holy Neroli is a neroli fragrance through and through, whereas Orange Flowers shines with a creamy, dense orange blossom note. Holy Neroli is sharper, brighter, much sweeter, less dense, less rich, more citrusy and less heavy than Orange Flowers. And the dry downs are quite different. Holy Neroli dries as a clean and bright, citrusy fragrance on a sugary & light, slightly amber base. Orange Flowers retains depth and density with honey, ylang-ylang, patchouli, oak moss and cedar at its base. May try snagging a few pre-owned bottles of Orange Flowers while it is still available.

This is a pleasant, fresh, and easy-to-wear fragrance, but there’s nothing groundbreaking about it. It’s a safe, familiar citrus-neroli scent—one that’s been done countless times before. That said, I did enjoy it; it’s bright, clean, and effortlessly refreshing. The biggest downside? The price. While it smells good, it doesn’t feel unique enough to justify the ridiculously high cost. If you love neroli and don’t mind paying a premium, it’s a solid choice. Otherwise, there are plenty of more affordable alternatives that offer a similar experience.

Not the fresh citrus-y scent you'd expect from reading the notes. But I love it! Warm, dense, not too sweet, heavy, unisex and quite green. Nothing to do with Neroli Portofino or Aqua Allegoria in my opinion - which are way more citrus-y. It is almost entirely pure neroli for the first hours, then it settles into a creamy vanilla. I have a few pure essential oils that I use for my home humidifiers and compared this to my neroli oil and it's literally that.

Powdery fresh neroli scent. High quality smelling and that surprised me to come from montale. Performance is kinda weak to be honest, not bad but keep in mind that neroli note is very volatile. Definitely summer, definitely relaxed vibe and in a hot day. I quite like it and happy to own a bottle but I wont repurchase for sure as I prefer fresher neroli scents. Edit: Sold my half bottle

I find it quite interesting. I'm not a big fan of neroly, because it's very common where I live and there are a lot of cheap 1 litre colognes made of that. However, the smoothness of this one is cautivating, and unlike almost all neroli fragances, this is quite long-lasting. Smell: 8/10 Longetivity: 7/10 Projection: 7/10 It's a miss for me for a full bottle, but it's a good scent.

I like this! It's well blended and interesting, quite elegant. I wouldn't wear this every day tho, so a travel size will be more than enough for me. It's clean and refreshing, so for me this would be a perfect warm weather and after shower scent. But... the longevity is a bit less than what I'm used to from montale. On me it noticeably stuck around for around 5-ish hours.

Is it exactly was I expected Sintra from Memo to be. A sweet orange blossom and neroli combo, that is not sharp at all. The rose is very much in the background and feels more like rose water, whereas the discrete vanilla is always present. It's an elegant scent with the Montale performance and will be perfect to wear all year around.

Received it today! It is pretty heavy neroli indeed. Very recognisable as a Montale scent. More feminine. I don’t get much citrus. In the dry down the rose and vanilla create some soft sweetness. The bottle looks great, but you better sample this before pulling the trigger.

If you are like me and like neroli, so you would like this. Reminds me of Neroli Portofino and even Tom Fords Neroli Portofino is very popular it is not the best neroli sense. This is not better than TF ́s, but they have tried.

I like it. It smells like summer vacations, hot day but not suffocating and the "golden hour". It kinda has a hotel vibe to it. The bottle is gorgeous

Holy Nearli does not smell anything like Love Don’t Be Shy, Oriana, or Sinatra. It opens with strong neroli and citrus, which is very unisex leaning masculine. Perhaps even a bit aftershave cologne like. As it dries down it softens a bit, but still remains very floral aromatic with a touch of citrus green. Although not similar sent wise, the profile of Holy Neroli in the dry down reminded me of a new Amouage which I tested recently, Love Delight. They are both aromatic florals. Even their bottles are in the same category: matte beige. I do not recommend this as a blind buy. To me this fragrance is unisex with masculine leaning opening. I think this may be suited for transitional or warmer spring or summer period.

I own Neroli Portofino and have worked my way through at least 70% of the bottle, and I can safely say Holy Neroli does not nearly remind me of Neroli Portofino. Definitely get your nose onto Holy Neroli if you are thinking about blind buying because you saw some people say it reminds them of NP.

For the First couple hours It Is strong! Then It settles down to a Creamy Neroli Scents, bright but a Little bit Chemical.. don't overspray It!

Not a good blind buy. It's quite sweet, warm & heavy which I didn't like. The base & dry down is actually quite similar to Oud Tobacco. If you want a bright fresh neroli scent stay away from this and go for things like: - TF Neroli Portofino - Creed Neroli Sauvage - Neroli Botanica - Diptyque Eau des Sens (light neroli, more focus on citrus and other white florals, a bit similar to Acqua di gio) - Loewe Solo Atlas (best neroli ever, very bright and sharp) - Neroli Oranger (more feminine leaning but absolutely beautiful)

a perfume with a light neroli base. the rest is caramelly at incredible levels. 2/10

Smells like a grandma, very very feminine

Montale are really very high quality perfumes. Montale simply uses expensive ingredients. These perfumes are not for everyone. You can buy Montale at discount and it will be in perfect packaging. Montale has been on the market for the last 20 years and a lot of fine aluminum bottles have been emptied and are available in their beautiful pouches and shiny boxes. The Montale perfume bottle is very sustainable, too. Once empty, you just unscrew the cap and fill it. Unless you buy from authorized Montale seller, just don’t waste time evaluating anything else but the bottle, the pouch and the box.

Great perfume as always from the best house in the business. The opening is for my nose a litle bit more masculine but the drydown is more of a feminie perfume. Wonderful and strong as with all Montales perfumes. Cant really describe it there is some caramel in there which is very yummy and nice. Not a perfume for me but my wifed loved this. I am all Sensual Instinct but this was a very very good perfume that i think many will love. Reminds a litle bit of PDM Carlise in some parts,,,not sure hard to describe it

I did get my hands on the sample of this one, it has all that luxurious vibe! And it could stand out as a perfect and elegant scent but the longevity is the main issue, it fades away within 2 hours. I don't know whether the sample is like this only and if the full bottle is different. Is it worth spending or I would look for any similar scent? Kindly help me out!

Seems promising. I love all the notes listed and I adore neroli, rose and vanilla together. I’d be dissapointed if it does actually smell like voce viva by Valentino because I find that perfume to be very basic and boring.

Montale hasn’t worked for me yet, too synthetic, I don’t know why but I wanna give Holy Neroli a shot. 😝 I’m in a sweet floral phase right now, especially if it’s anything like LDBS, or Oriana, or Memo Sintra even!

I wanted to like this so bad, since I love Sintra. The initial spray is nice, but after a few minutes and especially in the dry down all I get is baby wipes. Just straight up baby wipes. Still love montale tho.

This is good. If you like Neroli and Orange blossom this smells very nice. It’s not citrus astringent as some of these blends tend to be. It goes straight to the florals lightly sweetened by.. vanilla ?

If you’re a neroli fan this is a solid long lasting neroli-dominant summer fragrance. If you don’t like neroli this doesn’t have much else to offer. It’s neroli and not much more.

Could someone tell me, what's this first note you can smell after spraying? Is this neroli or something else? The most prominent one.
