Honey Aoud

Another Love at first Sniff for me! Instantly in my top 10! I think Montale gets me. Every fragrance I have purchased with them (3 in total) were blind buys and all of them have been a successful experience. Aside from all of their bottles feeling half empty of course. It has to do with them using light weight aluminum instead of traditional heavier glass is my guess. Rich Thick Honey mixed with the right amount of oud. Its blended very well. You can't beat it for the price. Lasts 10 hours on me at least. Lots of compliments every time I wear it out. Its not going to be for everyone so your results may vary. But it is for me. Note Breakdown: honey: YES! Front and center so luxuriously rich you can almost taste it in the back of your throat upon first application. oud: Yes it does have the "Montale" synthetic oud that they are known for. However the Honey is really masterfully blended well to work with each other rather than fight with one another. warm spicy: Yes the cinnamon and amber are responsible for this regard. cinnamon: Yes see above sweet: Absolutely. Almost to the point of cloying but I mean it has HONEY in the name. And Honey is the very definition of cloying. So if sweet scents aren't your thing then this is one you should stay at arms length from. amber: Yes see above. floral: I don't get any Floral notes per say but I do get Pollen. Which is a floral element. vanilla: Maybe? I'm sure its there dancing behind the Honey and Oud but its definitely in the supporting cast here. Not front and center. animalic: Okay for those of you who have smelled TRUE Oud then this is no where near as "animalic" as some would have you believe. But for those of you who just associate all oud as animalic then yes it has oud notes. leather: Im sure its there especially in the dry down with the patchouli and vanilla as the back up dancers.

IMO this is one of Montale's top 3. I don't know why more people and youtubers don't talk about this one, but i prefer it this way, because i don't like when others around me use the same fragrance. The scent is amazing sweet, thick and intense honey, which is made even stronger combined with oud. It makes crave honey even though i'm not a fan of it. The bottle is like every other Montale, metal and cylindrical, coming in a bag inside of a box. What i don't like about those bottles is that i can't see how much liquid i got left inside. Yes the bottles are unique, but they have their flaws. Projection and colossal and easily fills a room for a long time. Longevity...well it stays on the skin until you take a shower. I have a shirt that smelled like honey aoud for 1 month and it was still projecting inside my wardrobe. Now, before I get into my review, this is my first actual niche fragrance. So, my experience to this is entirely new. My girlfriend bought me this as a valentines gift, and; Honey Aoud genuinely blew me away with its scent, and was entirely unexpected. For me on my skin, the florals pop up more than the honey, however, it's still super sweet and absolutely delicious. The 'oud' note in this is dark, masculine, and really adds a lot of edge to this fragrance, rounding it out fantastically, even if it isn't real oud. Although I don't think this would be for everybody, I do still see this as quite a head-turner, and more versatile than what it leads on. The quality of this fragrance is on another level, I own mostly designer fragrances and none of them are on par with this. You get niche quality for designer price, as my girlfriend picked it up from Notino on the Valentines sale for about £77 for 100ml. The performance is also nothing like anything else, it is so incredibly strong but not so much to where it would be considered cloying, which is perhaps the 'oud' note acting as a fixative. Over all, I'm well impressed with this fragrance. 10/10.

It was a hot and humid Sunday, and I was feeling restless and bored. The rain had come and gone, leaving behind a damp and chilled breeze. I decided to wear Honey Aoud that evevning. I had never tried it before, but I was curious about it. It starts with a burst of warm and spicy honey that envelops the dry and woody aoud. The honey is rich, sweet and warm, but not cloying or sticky. The aoud is dried, smoky and earthy like high-quality burning aoud incense, it is neither harsh nor medicinal. Together, they create a harmonious and balanced scent that stays linear and consistent throughout the wear. It is a simple but elegant fragrance that creates a cosy and relaxing mood. It's a unisex fragrance, but I think it's more masculine. I wore it for the Sunday Mass and a dinner after that, and I received many compliments and positive attention. I went back home, feeling happy and relaxed. The fragrance still lingered on my skin, still warm, creamy and smokey. It was like a memory of a wonderful evening. It is one of the best honey-based fragrances I have ever tried!

Update ‘26: This one was a lovely reminder that there are sometimes differences between smaller batches and full sizes. I bought a bottle from what I believe is an older batch, and it is amazing. Beautiful fragrance, more masculine leaning on the opening. When it’s left on the skin, an herbal profile starts to show, but it’s one you have to search for. The dry down, wow is it worth it. For me, that’s when the honey and oud bloom, and the profile softens to this sweetened floral I’m absolutely in love with. Longevity is great with this one, will obviously last several hours. No jokes with the sillage — this one is a beast. Not office-friendly by any means. Perfect for cold weather. You might be able to get away with wearing it in spring. Not likely a summer scent at all, I imagine this would cause some second-hand headaches for any companions. This one macerates in a way I’m thrilled to continue experimenting with. If you prefer stronger fragrances that lean sweet, Honey Aoud is one to try— purely for the sake of its evolution.

Oh man, this is an oud/honey BOMB. Very strong and medicinal, so if you don't like that, and you don't care much for oud or you aren't familiar with oud, either try a small sample or avoid. This is not for the faint of heart, no—this creature knows nothing of gentle introductions and is unabashedly unapologetic. Absolutely amazing mixed with Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue Escape To Panarea. Reminiscent of the vintage fragrances like Guerlain's Shalimar, so if you like that, chances are you'll be a fan of this. There's a nice, strong dose of cinnamon as it dries down which is probably why it reminds be so much of Shalimar. Many say it's masculine leaning, but I don't see it as that because it is so like the old, spicy women's fragrances of old. Just a different time now where most see feminine scents as sweet, candy-like gourmand or fresh floral, so they see things that fall out of that to be unusual and "masculine". Very much a unisex scent.

You know when you start smelling fragrances with a honey note and they don't actually smell like honey? They smell like sweet syrup, but honey itself doesn't smell sweet at all. I think this scent really does have that "dirty honey" note, which reminds me of real honey. Honey itself smells floral and slightly dirty, and most scents lack the animalic touch that real honey carries. This scent probably has the most obvious honey note you will find in a fragrance under $200. The honey is dirty and mixed with cinnamon, both of which smell really natural to me. Then, it takes a toned-down version of the signature Montale oud and blends it with clean leather and a slight hint of patchouli. Maybe a little vanilla rounds out the scent in the dry down. This is a really unique scent, a cold-weather must-try, and probably Montale/Mancera's best oud scent yet. Performance is top-tier. 8.8/10

I recently bought a bottle of this and can finally say that this is a great fragrance, but it might not be what you’re expecting. The opening is pure oud, it’s very dark and rich which some people might hate. The potential issue being that it does take a while for the sweetness to come through. I personally find the oud to be the prominent note throughout the life of the fragrance (it lasts very long and the sillage is moderate). The honey and cinnamon do come through later but I do not think of this as a gourmand fragrance at all with the prominence of the oud and it definitely leans masculine. To put it simply, this is a dark oud with honey drizzled over it and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It’s delicious, but not a safe blind buy. For now, this is my second favourite montale with Arabians Tonka being first but that could change down the line. 9/10

If you’re familiar with hungarian chimney cake (kürtöskalács), this perfume smells exactly like if you were waiting for the chimney cake to be made for you, on a cold winter day, while standing near the stall, watching the workers cook them right on the spot, you smell the burning wood, the thick honey they brush the cake with, letting it caramelise over the fire, the cinnamon they sprinkle on that hot, crispy outer layer, this is not just a perfume, it’s an experience, this perfume takes me back to some very joyful and delicious memories, if you’ve had those experiences as well, you’d probably get the same reaction to it as I did when I first smelt it, this is the only perfume I want to wear during the cold months, it not only smells fantastic, but brings a smile to my face as well.

For me, Honey Aoud is a well-thought-out composition from start to finish. Its aroma is rich and opulent, yet perfectly balanced, never overwhelming. This is precisely why I appreciate Montale’s fragrances. However, it does lack some versatility. Like Oud Immortel, Honey Aoud is best suited for cooler days. Unlike Byredo’s creation, though, it doesn’t warm you from within; instead, it wraps you in a cozy aromatic shawl. Its sweetness isn’t cloying but comforting, evoking a sense of Oriental allure. That said, categorizing Pierre Montale’s work as a gourmand wouldn’t be wrong either. Regardless of how it’s classified, Honey Aoud is a truly extraordinary fragrance — beautiful and aromatic. This sticks to your skin like Glue. I exfoliated with castile soap after sampling this fragrance and it was still there. I love the fragrance Three notes in this particular order - Oud, cinnamon, and honey. Its a beast of a fragrance, even the dupe is a beast on its own. One spray per wrist, and one on the neck will suffice for an entire day. The bottle design is cool and kind of " random". Reminds me of a hairspray bottle. I bought the duplicate version from DUA Brands and its spot on as well, but I spend 60$ for 3.7 oz of the name brand on Ebay and 30$ for the 1oz dupe. So just get the original. Overall 10/10, imo, I love strong frags that require less sprays, because it saves money. Update 5-17-2025- A woman stopped me at the gas station and said " ooooh you smell so good".

There’s zero comparison to Parfums De Marly Oajan, & zero comparison to Hermès Ambre Narguile. What you’ll get from Honey Aoud is a beautiful Honey, Oud, Amber, & Cinnamon blend. The Oud is done in the traditional Montale style, woody, earthy, moldy, & almost motor oil like. Which adds an air of dark mystery to the fragrance. Underneath the Oud I pick up on Saffron. There’s a mild Leathery nuance in Honey Aoud that’s never mentioned. The Honey isn’t overly sweet but it’s very rich, & I’m sure that’s due to the Amber. The Cinnamon isn’t loud, but it’s not soft either. The spice here is done just right. I can’t say it enough, Honey Aoud is beautiful, & it’s a definite compliment getter. Longevity & Projection are nuclear.

This fragrance goes through several phases on my skin but i'll describe 3. The opening is a combination of honey and what i assume is leather, half an hour later the oud steps in and this is where it stops being mass appealing and a "head turner". After another 1-2 hours the oud weakens and it goes back to honey and all the other notes combined. Great projection, i will update on longevity after a few wears. People on the internet are saying this is perfect post maceration and i hope its true. edit (october 30): much better performance and much more appealing opening. either this has macerated or everyone who i wore this around including myself got accustomed to the raw oud in this. phenomenal

My first Montale fragrance! Insane longevity and projection in line with what I had previously heard about this house and it's fragrances. Sweet honey but not too powdery, spicy cinnamon with some floral notes, smokey oud and woods to round of the base. Could be unisex for some but I find the smokey backbone and oud round out this fragrance and make it lean more masculine. Lasts 12 hours plus on my skin, 2-3 hours huge projection, lasts days on clothes. CAREFUL ON THE SPRAYS, This is an absolute beast mode fragrance for me. I sprayed this on my jacket earlier then had a shower and I can still catch whiffs of it from upstairs. 2-4 sprays can definitely do the job.

I went through a honey fragrance phase about 2 years ago and picked this up after sampling it. I'm never going to use the whole bottle. Two sprays and I'm good for like 3 days. Extremely good staying power aside, it isn't the most realistic honey, but its a warm one. The cinnamon and rather dry, simple oud really shine and pull that sometimes sickeningly sweet honey note back down to earth. Thankfully it doesn't just fade to just an pure oud fragrance. On me the honey and cinnamon stick around just as long. I do love how warm it smells, even when its freezing outside, if I grab a hoodie I sprayed this on a few days ago it makes it a bit more cozy.

I saw this in the review section and I thought wow I love this fragrance let me put this on today. It’s fall here in NY and the leaves are changing slowly, and it’s cool in the air so this is perfect! I absolutely love this for this time of year. This is both sweet and Oudy (woody) and if you like honey this one is for you. This does not carry the Montale DNA that we are all used to but smells so different more honey like with beautiful cinnamon, vanilla and amber. This is a unisex fragrance anyone can wear! I love this! As for longevity it’s amazing and sillage is also amazing!!! One of the best Montale’s out there! Highly recommended 10/10

At first, I genuinely didn't like this fragrance. Got it 2 years ago, and to be honest I've just let it sit there without using it much. I don't know why though, but holy. Letting it sit in my closet for so long has made it mature into such a desirable smell. Before, I would avoid it from how strong and almost offending this fragrance is. But now, I love how it smells. It's a seductive but bold fragrance that will stand out on its own. Wear this if you are not the 'safe' man and want to smell unique. This is for the man who wants to be remembered. For the man who wants to make a strong statement with his presence. Aka, me.

ive only had a sample of this in a discovery set so far, but I knew I was going to like it! to me the opening is very harsh, but not in a bad way. straight away you get a slightly sweet but strong honey and oud scent. to me it is slightly similar to penhaligons halfetti in the first half an hour or so, but as it dries down it turns into a really nice and very sweet woody/honey scent. I used this over Christmas, and every hug I got from family resulted in compliment after compliment. if you like honey notes and oud, I would recommend this. definitely not a safe blind buy though!

when i first got it, i got really concerned because i felt like it smelled like spit at first? versus my friends who liked it immediately. it also seemed a little weak, so i gave it an extra spray. maybeee a mistake because when it kicked in, it kicked in. i was in a lecture and the guy behind me kept sniffling and then eventually got up and left and i felt really bad abt it ): but to me when i catch a whiff of it after a while it reminds me a lot of honey graham crackers in a vintage car. i like it! A few years ago, Honey Aoud was my introduction to the world of niche perfumery. To this day, even after trying hundreds of fragrances, this remains in my top 10. It’s unbelievable how great this smells, and the performance is also top-notch. I don’t wear Honey Aoud often, but when do, I always get crazy compliments. The honey and cinnamon notes blend amazingly well with the oud, the entire composition smells so warm and comforting. A fall and winter staple for sure. I love this fragrance, and I think it’s the best one from Montale.

I love this one! Being from KY, this reminds me of an aged honey bourbon inside a oak barrel. I get this throughout the life of the fragrance. You also get a gorgeous creamy ambery leather in the background and towards the end up the fragrance that gives you a sexy bad boy sort of confidence. This fragrance is pure gold and perfect for fall and winter. I only ordered a 10ml decant and am ordering a full bottle today! I find it masculine only, however if you’re a lady and want to wear this then have at it doll 😉

This is an incredibly rich perfume. I got a whiff as I got it out of the box, and then I was blown away by the first spray. It truly is such a strong perfume, I am almost in shock. I really like how others described this as a grown up gourmand. With the honey and leather notes, I am really impressed. There's almost a very incense-y and dark liquor vibe to this. Although this is categorized as unisex, I think it definitely leans more masculine. However, as a woman who enjoys darker, spicier scents, I love it.

What a great fragrance. This was a love at first sniff for me. I bought it almost immediately after smelling for the first time. I love every second of wearing this. Sweet and delicious honey and cinnamon contrasted by a somewhat dry, balsamic, and woody oud. For me i wear this daily to work with 1-2 sprays max only in colder weather(15°c or below), or 4-8 sprays for special occasions and such. I think it works best for the colder months or perhaps a cold summer evening if not oversprayed. 10/10

Neprestávam milovať túto vôňu aj keď už bola dávno preformulovaná. Namiešaná inak ako prvé originálne vydanie ale je to v poriadku. Nemá už tak realistickú vôňu medu ako to bolo pár rokov späť. Aj Oud je menej pravdivý. 2015 keď som ju prvý krát kúpil bol to zvierací režim. Ostáva však naďalej skvelá a vydrží na mojej pokožke celý deň. Projekcia už je na tom horšie, ale stále lepšia ako u predražených dizajnérskych produktoch. Oplatí sa kúpiť a bude robiť radosť Vám aj ostatným okolo vás😉

F28 - I went to a BBQ Party last weekend, a hot summer night, and a mutual friend came over to greet me. He smelt AMAZING! I was absolutely mesmerised. I asked him what he was wearing and he laughed it off. Every time I walked past him I could smell him, he almost smelt edible but was gatekeeping the name of the fragrance. FINALLY when I was leaving I asked him for the final time and gave in and told me it was Honey Aoud. I went online drunk at 3am and bought it... Best decision ever : )

Lovely, simply beautifull, bright fragrance, very nice oud, not animalic not overly rancid but instead sweet, handsome rich oud. In the opening you get that blast in your face of honey, cinamon and oud that smells IDENTICAL TO IKEA Christmas Biscuits. 9.5/10 it might be overly syinthetic to some and overly sweet to others to me it just fits perfectly with my taste, if it was a bit less synthetic i would have scored it a 10. If you are looking for Christmas in a bottle buy this.

Simple yet Brilliant, This was a love at first sniff for me. It's a bold honey and oud combo with some cinnamon and amber touches--fantastic fragrance. The oud used is western, so no animalic notes whatsoever. If you like western oud fragrances and you like the smell of honey, you owe it to yourself to try this. Projection and longevity are strong and the price is very reasonable at discounters. This is a perfect fragrance for cold weather and will shine in the fall and winter.

I'm not a big fan of Montale, but this one is really good. Heavy, honey and oud combo with warm spicy accord and cinnamon. It's sweet, rich, warm and cozy. There is also amber, vanilla and leather notes. As it dries down, honey disappears and it goes in Boss Bottled Absolu direction, although it's still sweeter. Worth checking out, but I would definitely not reccomend going in blind. Scent can be really strong and polarizing, you should be really careful while applying this.

For a Montale, this is surprisingly not synthetic. Very realistic, thick, sweet honey dominant scent with some cinnamon in background supported by creamy woodiness. There's also a very subtle earthiness behind that creamy woodiness in the drydown to give it a more interesting scent profile. Very strong stuff (as usual with Montale), so be careful on the sprays because this will radiate throughout a whole room and last all day minimum.

Honey Aoud is stunningly gorgeous, blended to perfection this exquisite fragrance is a compliment magnet. Performance is off the charts with the standard 16hrs for on skin with really strong projection and sillage for 12hrs. While being a very unique scent profile it also attract a lot of attention with positive comments directed toward the wearer. If you like Red Tobacco and intense cedrat boise then you're going to love this.

My signature fragrance. Its not like other oud fragrances. This one is very mysterious,soft, special. Its sweet, playful, warm. Its unique. Leather at the background Longevity and projection are amazing. Not everyone will like it for sure. Definitely not a blind buy.You have to understand this fragrance and get along with the scent. Only negativity is price. Smell: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Projection: 10/10 Overall 10/10

After a year and a half, it really developed its qualities, it has shown its beauty. Cinnamon, oud, honey, amber and a bit of saffron (the last one not being listed, but that seems to be a trademark of Montale perfumes, not listing all the notes). It is amazing how it can last on my skin, compared to what it was when I bought it. Although it is warm, I wear it as well on hot weather. I only got compliments wearing it.

Beware, it's potent—excessive sprays might trigger sneezes. Personally adore it, yet intrigued that not everyone shares the sentiment. prominent honey, oud and amber in here; smells absolutely decadent the oud is really at the center here with the honey and amber just giving it a kinda glazed, smoothed, sweet oud effect that makes it a perfect signature for a dark, decadent style fragrance lover. beast mode — 15 hours longevity tested (minimum, no joke), moderate to loud projection. It’s a 10/10. A monster of a fragrance

I had my eyes on this fragrance for a very long time. I gave my favorite floral fragrance to my mother for her birthday, but Honey Aoud has been a wonderful addition to my collection. I absolutely love the blend of floral notes, oud, and honey. It’s rich, warm, and beautifully balanced. The oud in this reminds me of Oud Satin Mood, which I also adore. I rate it ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5).

so i'm telling my honest opinion on this perfume first of all it's so beautiful the cinnamon note doesn't bother me at all even tho i hate cinnamon so much but in this perfume it makes it complete. and the honey is just perfect in it the longevity is soooo good i sprayed it like in wed and it stayed i bought it in the spring but its just a winter perfume but its cool 8/10

Lovely bold opening Thick and syurpy honey, dark woody oud (western take) and then in about 15mins the spices , amber and cinnamon comes forward. After an hour or so then it settles into a high quality vanilla gourmand scent. Excellent value for money. It lasts a very long time with solid projection and silliage. I just wished that the opening-mid lasted longer. 8.5/10

Majorly underrated. Smooth honey and the oud is not skanky, the amber vanilla and leather is perfectly balanced here and not to rough tray it leans to masculine or harsh meaning it’s perfectly unisex. Slightly feminine leaning but a man would totally pull this off and wine would enjoy smelling this on a man. The longevity is great and projection is insane

One of the best sweet oud. I love it, it has a very good longevity and projection on my skin. It is a cold weather perfume, so Do Not use it on hot or warm weather. In my opinion if you buy this you will cover up, woody, sweet and spicy range. It is thou overpriced but if you get discount buy one. It is an excellent choice.

I bought two Montale sampler sets and was worried before getting this that it would be too masculine for me but I love it! The initial spray is pure honey but then seconds later the cinnamon and oud come in to play. Perfectly done and smells amazing on a man or woman! Definitely a fall or winter scent.

The honey sweetness is the most prominent scent in this with the oud becoming more prominent in the dry down. This is definitely a winter fragrance and don’t over spray if you’re wearing it in the office (three sprays max) but if you’re wearing it to a club you can get away with more.

Really? Am I the only one who finds a resemblance to Chopard's Amber Malaki? It's not even in the "This perfume reminds me of" section, but there's Latafa Khamrah, who doesn't look like this! This is more amber than honey, but it's still very good! Very beautiful scent! 9/10

Deliciously sweet honey aoud. A soft, strangely bright aoud w/ perfectly balanced projection & longevity - a great intro to aoud for newbies. Vague fruits appear in the mid, resting on a bed of luxe leather. Evolution is mesmerizing, becoming more delicious over time.

Beautiful combination of Oud, honey, cinnamon and vanilla. Excellent performance. Just a few sprays and you're good to go. To me, it's more spicy than gourmand. It's very well blended and the notes round off each other. Leans masculine, a bit mature and it's exotic.

Honey , honey, honey must be funny, :) Imagine a playful dance between honey's sweetness, wrapping you in a warm embrace, and brave oud. In a nutshell, Honey Aoud is the olfactory equivalent of a cozy, spicy, and energetic hug from the vibrant streets of the East!

i sprayed some on my hand at the department store earlier because i was intrigued. it was cozy wintery cinnamon at first, a scent i’d want in a candle, and the dry-down is the most beautiful sweet leather. i think this fragrance is teaching me how to love vanilla

This is my secret weapon of mass destruction. I can't even begin to express how underrated this is. Montale Honey Aoud is probably my biggest compliment getter in my entire collection. People go crazy for it. A honey cinnamon beast, the oud is barely detectable.

sweet, not overly so. plenty of honey, leather, cinnamon and oud can be detected by me at least, with a "rubbery" smell, albeit not a put off for me. amazing longevity, 12+ hours with around 3-4 hours of strong projection before dying down by the 5/6th hour

This is beautiful. Honest, in the beginning its kinda harsh but after a while it becomes an elegant, smooth more mature and not super sweet honey fragrance. Very mild Oud which i prefer, also note the super intense longevity. Highly recommend for winter!
