Ladies and gentlemen, this is the East: warm, enveloping, mysterious, sensual, bright, radiating, at times hypnotic. Yes, but where exactly does this artistic creation take us? Almost a new march that, I am sure, the maison has taken: here we are talking about true niche perfumery, of olfactory art taken to new levels of comparison. Infinity has a sweet fruity opening but then it settles into a smooth, dense, deep, warm spicy, oudy, tonka, tobacco, soft leather dry down. It’s transitioning basically from a feminine leaning perfume to a more masculine one! I do get a beautiful cherry/plum combo as soon as I spray it on skin and for a few minutes after. But that’s about it, don’t get Infinity if you want a dark cherry scent cause it ain’t one. It’s more of a blend of sweet tobacco/tonka bean/leather/amber /spices/musk. From the floral listed, I can smell the rose, but not the tuberose. Cardamom and pink pepper are fairly easy to detect in Infinity as well. Has a bunch of other notes listed but they are not very easily distinguishable in my experience! Overall, it’s a good perfume with a phenomenal longevity, lasts days sprayed on clothing, like most Montale’s are but it’s softer in sillage. It doesn’t announce your presence before being seen, like for instance Arabians Tonka does! I would say it’s fairly versatile perfume, can be used in various contexts and most seasons, with the exception of summer, hot and humid days! But I see it working well during spring because of its fruity, sweet, vanilla nature. Being a perfume release to celebrate 17 years of Montale in the industry, I personally expected something more memorable, to be wowed by both smell and performance. With the way Infinity presents itself cannot say I feel that my expectations were met! It’s a good scent but it’s not great or outstanding by any means... From what I’ve tested and own, Arabians Tonka is still the best oudy/woody/vanilla/gourmand of Montale!

Montale Infinity. A plush, shadowed fruity-oriental that opens with a burst of black cherry and plum, spiked by saffron, pink pepper, and cardamom. It’s juicy but never syrupy—the spice keeps it taut and the sweetness in check. As it settles, the character turns ‘Elegant but rebellious’. Leather and a soft touch of oud glide in, balanced by a hushed rose and creamy sandalwood, with vetiver giving a dry, grown-up backbone. It’s not a candy cherry; think darker, spiced fruit over a suede-oud core. If Lost Cherry is a cocktail, Infinity is the after-hours lounge where the lights are low and the band just switched to minor keys. The drydown brings a warm haze of tobacco leaf, tonka, vanilla sugar and amber over a musky skin scent. The tobacco/vanilla pairing adds body without turning cloying; the fruit slowly dims and the leather-oud stays tasteful rather than shouty. It reads unisex but with an edge. Performance: classic Montale—loud projection for the first few hours, then a steady glow for 10–12+ hours on skin. Two to three sprays are plenty; more and you’ll dominate the room. (If you’re indoors, go easy.) Packaging: the familiar aluminum Montale bottle—not haute-luxury, but practical and tough, designed to protect the juice from light. The fairly nice “bag”. Fair at this price point and very “grab-and-go” friendly. Bottom line: a dark cherry-leather-oud with charisma and serious wear time—sexy night scent for fall/winter, club nights, and dressed-in-black evenings.

I didn't buy this thinking it would become a signature scent for me. I bought it because I was looking for a plum and incense fragrance, but I started loving it when I noticed the cherry notes it has. I have to say that the comments on this fragrance are all over the place compared to what I experience with it. To me, this is a complex, somewhat powerful, occasionally overpowering scent that is slightly gourmand, but more of a mature, sophisticated "not everybody is going to love it" type of scent. Think of walking into an eccentric thrift shop filled with vintage items that remind you of a past you wish you'd lived... somewhat dry and dusty items, smells that almost remind of of something, but you can't quite place it, and hints of luxury from other times and places, incense, tobacco, cognac, liquor, spices. It is not a scent that works for every day, and I can't imagine wearing this in warm humid weather (although it probably would totally work in somewhere like Dubai), but it is the type of fragrance that would make me turn and follow someone to ask them what it is so that I could immediately go buy a bottle. To me, it is a dry, subtly powerful, sophisticated scent that is a like it or hate it scent. I have fallen in love with it.

What is the problem with oud fragrances? Oud is a resin from the agarwood tree, its earliest use recorded in the Middle East and ancient Far East Asia. Of course there are lots of other fragrance elements other than oud that come from Asia. But this one is so dominant and culturally specific that perhaps more rightfully, its compatibility with other skin chemistries and climates can be called into question. Simply put: on the average Western European consumer it just smells too strong due both to differences in skin chemistry and, perhaps more significantly, to a cooler and more temperate climate. Montale's Infinity solves this problem. It is the kind of oud you can wear even in a mild climate without smelling like you are disrupting the olfactory apparatus of anyone around you. It is enough oud to smell regal and in control of yourself, but not so much as to pretend you are someone you're not. So what makes this special isn't that there is nothing out there like it with the same profile. It doesn't reinvent oud. It stands out because it delivers the richness of oud in a gentle, refined way that makes it wearable for quieter occasions, and for people who typically shy away from the note.

9/10 fragrance. Virtually no prominent tobacco note which i am glad about. It is a mix of saffron, fruits and cherry accords. While this is a sweet fragrance, the cherry note is definitely more mature and dark compared to something like lost cherry by tom ford and it is definitely strong throughout the wearing. I wouldn’t compare it to l’homme ideal edp by guerlain, as that fragrance is definitely more on the masculine side. Moreover, there isn’t any clear outstandingly oudy/leathery smell and or overbearing florals (as it lists on the note breakdown.) Longevity wise, its no Arabians Tonka, but it still lasts a very long collection of hours. I can’t really comment on the projection since i went noseblind to this very quickly and haven’t worn it out many times, which in the 2 instances i have was out for only short periods of time. Overall, this is a saffron and cherry fragrance with hints of woods, the tobacco note is very mild to un-smellable.

Got a 10 ml decant for my winter trip, and when I first got it, I was really disappointed. It smelled like cherry shampoo with a slight vanilla and leathery undertone that dominated in the dry down. Half a year later, with 5 ml left, I smelled it again, and it had changed. The cherry is softer and more vanillic, less synthetic; the tobacco is dry and raw, while the leather is soft and not at all animalistic. Vanilla is also much stronger in the base, making it a really well-rounded scent. For people saying this smells like the standard Montale Rose and Oud, go check your nose, or maybe try actually testing fragrances for longer than a day. Honestly, the issue with decants is that they take time to settle down, and this one initially was a mess, but here I am putting this on my buying list next winter. A really unique and well-blended cherry, Vanilla, Tobacco scent that performs incredibly well—probably in my top two Montales. 8.7/10

I actually have this fragrance It’s beautiful Definitely get a great dose of the plum and dark Cherry with a very interesting spice not so much from the pepper but definitely from the saffron and cardamom. Even before it starts really drying down the Rose with the smooth sandalwood and great balance with the earthiness from the Vetiver and Oud and the high quality leatheris just AMAZING!! The best part about this when the tobacco warm vanilla and sticky nice amber with a slight musk comes in, it truly seems as if they reintroduce the plum and cherry to come back around and your senses start to smell everything again as if you first sprayed. So the name fits this fragrance very well! My hats off to Mr. Pierre Montale This can be worn during the day but it’s just phenomenal at night really it’s one of those all year round fragrances. Honestly I’m trying my best to not use much of this since this isn’t readily available in the US.

I actually detect a great deal of cardamom upon first spray. There's a nice sweet fruitiness that peeks out from behind the veil of leather, wood and tobacco. If i smell the strip closely, this fragrance comes off as harsh and masculine. But in the air it tells a different story. The sweet fruity tobacco definitely stands out more. If this fragrance wows you, then definitely try Montale's Oudmazing. I blind bought this based on my enjoyment of Oudmazing. If you don't like cardamom then give this a pass. The cardamom takes a bit of time to fade out, but when it does you're left with a beautiful combo of cherry, leather, wood and tonka bean. This straddles the unisex line pretty well and as i expected, it's a love for me. Lasts quite a long time on fabric and projects quite well. Very solid performance all around.

This is my second ever review, and i have tried this both on paper and skin. And i must say, this is a beautiful cherry scent. I starts of quite fruity and playful, but as i progresses, it gets darker and darker from the dark cherry/plum, leather and tobacco notes in there. It gets more sensual as it dries down, which i find beautiful. Also the vanilla, tonka bean and sandelwood notes comes clutch in the end, and makes it lean toward gourmand. As all the other Montales, this is a monster for longevity, but it does not have that monster projection like Arabians Tonka, which i think is great, because for such a send i find it more soothing to sit close to the skin. I would say this is a safe blind buy if you like cherry, but i am nuts when it comes to blind buys. I would recommend, 9/10 for me.

I have tried dozens of cherry fragrances, and this is one of the best if not the best. This is a super dark, mysterious, sexy, a bit tobacco and woody cherry scent. I can ONLY smells luxurious and quality here. This is a very good fragrance for winter imo. Nothing here is "overwhelming".. it is versatile even though the notes described can be seen as dark and heavy, but this is actually quite nice, a bit light feeling in the opening, and a dark sweet cherry fragrance that undertones the tobacco and sweetness. I mean.... everything about the fragrance is perfectly made and blended. Only one thing I would personally change is to make the cherry just slightly more dominant and more heavy to get that super alluring ideal dark cherry fragrance with oud in the middle and drydown. Just perfect!!

This is a very creative twist on most cherry scents I smell, which are very heavy, almost syrupy (which can make it off-putting). Comparing this to TF Lost Cherry, which is very bold and sensual, this stuff is a lot more versatile and lighter. It comes across as a lot more youthful and playful, and isn't so "boom, in your face!" The lightness of the cherry is like yin and yang – it's still the star of the show but not disgustingly overpowering. In the dry down, there is a strong but subtle powder note that gives it sophistication, but not so that it's too formal to wear as a daily scent. –––––––– Performance is amazing! 3-6ft projection for the first 4-5 hours, and a various length for dry down after that. I get around 10 hours on my skin.

Fall in love with this symphony and feel a feeling of infinite greatness, like love. As soon as I tried it, I loved it; I found it elegant and distinguished in its own right. #937 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Everything you love about Clive Christian's "Jump Up and Kiss me Hedonistic" without the Clive Christian price. Which is what I think Guerlain was trying to do with "L'Homme Ideal EDP" but didn't do it as well as this. Balanced fruit, wood, spice, tobacco, just a touch of florals. Doesn't get much better than this. Uncommon projection and longevity. Potent but delicious, not offensive. Definitely a date night scent. Don't know what was in the bottle some of these reviewers bought, but what I got matches the note list. I can't stop smelling this stuff. Absolutely a "must have."

Nice sweet, powdery dry tobacco... It's airy and fluffy sweet fragrance... The tobacco is very light, exactly the same type as in Black Noir from Mancera... Check the main accords, both have similar elements....To my nose, they are about 50% similar but both give 100% same vibe/feel and type if that makes sense.... Personally, I like this a bit more because it's more fruity and less powdery than Black noir... both are great and both reminded me of clean babies and marshmallows... 😄 Perhaps it’s just the way my brain interprets it. Very yummy, delicate and beautiful fragrance 10/10 👍

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for Mancera and Montale fragrances. They may actually be the best bang-for-your-buck offerings in the niche world. Yes, they are synthetic, yes there are 10/10s and 1/10s, but there truly is something for everyone. This fragrance is a sweet, plum/oud, with above average performance. You can tell Montale created this to be a regal anniversary-like staple. The packaging is improved, the classic montale "bag" is velvet instead of pleather, and the scent is gorgeous. Enjoy it for what it is: arguably the best Montale ever made.

Im gonna cut the small talk. Its syntethic but not that screechy smell. Cherry is defo proeminent, high quality. Sweet fragrance, really sweet best to wear in the winter. On me, i cant pick up any of the notes above, its just..sweet. Performance-wise i got about 9 hours on skin and weeks on clothes, with 2 hours of strong sillage. Montale did a great job with this, but as i said its just..sweet. Plain sweetness. Consider it beastmode. Safe blind buy i would say, but test it before. I got it for 80 euro for 100ml

The recent reports of this being scratchy and synthetic are absolutely nonsense.This is one of the most beautiful smooth fruity,creamy sueded,oud soft,spicy oud tobaccos in existence.This has elements of the following fragrances Herod,L'homme Ideal,Man In Black,Pure Havane however its its own unique creation this is masterpiece.Everything ia well balance even though the fragrance is quite dark this means its wearable in 3 seasons if you live in the Northern Hemisphere.Bravo Montale

Absolutely amazing sophisticated tobacco scent with a hint of cherry! Not intoxicating and overpowering cherry like Tom Ford for example I think the balance is perfect ! I absolutely fell in love with this perfume my husband even commented what a beautiful aroma you have on ! In my opinion everything is so beautifully balanced, the fruity notes with oud and tobacco ! It’s not like a massive punch of one note or another to me everything is harmonically sits on my skin !

It's crazy how different people's noses are. This smells fantastic to me. Wish it was a bit stronger but I'll take it. It's just insane how over dramatic dudes are when they don't like a fragrance. A meth pipe? Really? A mess of a fragrance? Comes on guys if you don't like it just say you don't like it. No need to be all dramatic about it. To call this disgusting is just absolutely over dramatic.

my first parfume from montale, really suprised how light the bottle is. for the scent its amazing, beautifull combination of cherry, plum and oud. Opening is juicy cherry and plum, a bit heavy from the start, oud and leather start coming in the middle making it deeper and masculine while the drydown tobacco joins in. Good performance out of box, verry happy this is my first montale bottle

Love at first sniff, spicy, slightly fruity, cherry, which gets some tobacco notes in the drydown, perfectly unisex, this isn't like cherry smoke nor guerlain LHI edp to my nose, I own those as well but this goes in a different direction, it reminds me slightly of narcotic delight from initio but initio's got more tobacco and booziness to it, this one is softer and more aromatic

A solid release from montale! Received a sample of this today. I love the mixture of a dark cherry and oud, very well blended, these are the main 2 notes that stick out to me. Very very strong performance and silage, it’s like the Middle East in a bottle. Recommend sampling before you buy as this type of unisex Middle Eastern fragrance may not be for everyone!

Just got this fragrance and I got multiple compliments today. It lasted for the entire day and even longer on my shirt. It opens up almost smelling a tad bit similar to the cherry in TF Lost Cherry but it quickly drys down to a deeper and more masculine fragrance with oud, leather, and tobacco. I’d give this a 10/10 it’s very addictive and entrancing.

Oh my god its so good, I love it so much Fills rooms with 2 sprays, my parents always complain how strong it is. Easily lasts 9+ hours with the first 4-5 filling a room then after that it's an armlength bubble. Starts of dark, fruity, and sweet and dried to a sweet, Vanilla, sugary scent with a fruity hint to it Would highly recommend

For some reason It doesn't smell like anything to me I really have to go in and smell it closesly for it to smell likw anything and even than I dont get leather or oud or any woody notes just smells sweet and fruity also the plum is very present I like it a lot but my experience was so far off from other comments its crazy

A beautiful gourmand scent. It opens up as female scent that's spiced up and not for any girl to wear, but in the drydown, it's transformes into pure seductive male scent. I can smell almost every note listed in the pyramid with oud dominating and definitely the first of all perfumes where I could smell smoke and tobacco.

My most recent buy and all I can say is wow.This has a very proeminent note of cherry, that intoxicates you in the first hour, then it develops into a beautiful oud and tobacco blend, indeed the best montale at the moment, I would say masculine, projection amazing in the first 3 hours, easily stays 12h on my skin. 9.4/10

truly one of my favourite fragrances! I don't think I'll ever get tired of it, and everyone I know loves it too. I will definitely be buying it again when I run out. I wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy per se, but I do feel like its very mass appealing. what a masterpiece!

I really like it. I bought it cause I heard this is close to CC's Hedonistic, I'd say it's 50% close to that, and rest is montale dna with their own special oud. Already I feel this is better than my Honey Aoud, this can be worn in the summer even.

This one has something really special about it where on me it smells more feminine (the rose, tonka, vanilla sugar, and sweetness of the fruits) whereas on my partner it smells more masculine (the oud, musk, tobacco) - really love that!

I love this fragrance but i feel it could have been even better. To me this smells similar to black noir or oud island with the tobacco turned up just a bit and with cherry. Great longevity and sillage. 9.5/10

I’m obsessed. It smells like more sweeter and more fruity version of Haltane Parfums de Marly. Just perfect. When u don’t want to wear something heavy like Haltane, u can choose Infinity. Love love love

I honestly think this is fresh enough to work in the summer as long as it isn't super hot. This is similar to both oud island and black noir from mancera. Still all 3 are fantastic fragrances.

Having finally sampled Carlise I can say that this is like a richer more complex version of it for way cheaper.Buy it if you like Carlise but with actual tobacco

I love it. Sweet, but not overly sweet, spicy and cherry. Unisex, but leans slightly masculine. Cooler weather and evenings out. Has the Montale DNA.
