Lucky Candy

I’ve had my bottle for a couple of weeks now. I purchased this after reading several reviews. So, I went into it knowing it was going to lean floral & less Gourmand. I am so happy with this. It opens with a slight resemblance to delina & then turns slightly powdery on my skin. I think it’s the marshmallow note mixed with the florals. As it dries down it starts to sweeten more & gets less powdery. The frangipani, marshmallow & musk shine on my skin. The musk is a beautiful soft musk. Not too strong. I get beautiful whiffs throughout the day & she lasts eternally on my clothes. Someone else mentioned it being compared to an elegant frangipani, coconut, lemonade. I don’t pick up on the coconut as much but, I do get frangipani, marshmallow lemonade. Side note: I did need to let my bottle rest several days before I felt like the longevity was there. Give this one a few tries. She grew on me & now I crave & love her. ETA: this perfume has gotten so much stronger with time! I sprayed 2 sprays & nearly 5 hours later I was getting compliments. I could still smell my own scent bubble. I am very happy about this as I don’t need to use much at all. (I’ve had my bottle for about 3 months now).

I almost don’t want to leave a good review so I can keep this one to myself. Lucky Candy is a beautiful yellow floral with a light fluffiness from the marshmallow and a hint of coconut. It’s very unique and doesn’t really smell like anything else I have, maybe an airier, more floral Kilian Princess. I made the mistake of thinking LC was light and didn’t project when I first wore it. I was wrong. Every single time I wear this someone compliments me. She’s light and sweet but she’s also very present and projects. I like to layer with Ylang in Gold. LC is pretty, girly, summery and just really beautiful. I would at least sample and not on a test strip. Spray your clean skin and let the magic happen!

White flowers, yellow flowers, and a touch of coconut over marshmallow, with a light amber developing way into the dry down. But honestly there’s no way to describe this. It’s sweet but not sticky. I absolutely love it! I also love chocolate greedy and intense cafe, but don’t like dark purple. That’s the extent of my experience with this house and I can say the Montale dna is definitely here in presentation. I can’t get enough. It projects, lasts, and I enjoy getting frequent whiffs throughout it’s lengthy wear. At the same time, it’s not cloying or offensive to others in the vicinity.

It should have been a summer launch and not for this cooler time of the year or season. It’s a very airy blend with yellow floral hints, a soft coconut note with whipped cream, bergamot and musk. I don’t specifically detect the honey note. The caramel is slightly there. Sadly it’s lighter than I expected. I need to reapply after 3-4 hours. Sillage is sufficient but not really outstanding. The pyramid is quite deceptive in my opinion. Try before buying. It’s feminine leaning. Very simple daytime fragrance.

I had very high hopes for this perfume, the dry down is so disappointing :( Edit: Wow, I decided to buy the 20 ml to give it one more chance and i'm so glad i did. The comment below is so accurate, a frangipani coconut lemonade. It's very nice. On the inital blast i get the cacao and honey and that fades to a frangipani/coconut/tropical scent that smells good, so glad I gave it a second chance although i suggest sampling and trying before buying a full bottle since it may be tricky on the first sniff

I can’t believe the reviews are so bad for this one! I really think people are rating off the name. No it does not smell like candy ie Kayali Vanilly Candy. It’s also not “creamy” or lactonic at all. It’s literally a bright, sweet more tropical vs traditional floral. I wore it a lot last summer layered with Ylang in Gold and that combo lasted strongly all day and got compliments every single time. I don’t agree with the smells like either, it’s pretty unique and also non offensive.

This scent is amazing. I think the bad reviews are due to the name, as it quite fresh. At the opening its very floral, but once it dry, it become more fruity tropical, dewy and a little bit sweet. I don't like the first 5 minutes, but after I cant stop smelling myself. Be carefull its a beast, projection is insane. One push in the air and I smell it in the other room. Its long lasting as well. It dosnt smells like ed hardy perfumes BUT its gives same vibes.

I have to agree with the below review - this is a gem, and I am grateful it's not the "it" perfume. It's a sweet yellow floral, with an initial citrus that slowly melds into a fluffy tropical marshmallow, but never forgets the frangipani. It's really beautiful. You could definitely pop that warm, creaminess by layering with a coconut, or even vanilla, lotion / body oil. Lucky Candy will be my primary summer scent, this year. It's a beaut.

I had such high hopes for this: whipped cream, coconut caramel, honey, vanilla, its sounds like a dream! I’m so sorry to be a party pooper but this smells nothing like the notes. No sweetness, no gourmandness, just citrus. And an artificial citrus bathroom cleaner type of smell. 🍋🧼 The bottle is gorgeous but it should have been marketed as just citrus because there is zero coconut or caramel or whipped cream or vanilla or honey

A nice discovery. This perfume gives positivity and joy, I was surprised how each note intersects with the other, floral and "sugary" scents that transport you far away.... In a colorful and bright world. Very beautiful 💛🍭🍦😍 Sillage : 7.5/10 Longevity : 8/10 Scent : 8.5/10 Overall : 8.5/10

One of my favourites for spring and summer. It’s sweet, tropical, flowery, with a hint of coconut, but still quite subtle. My boyfriend’s favourite as well 💛☀️ A bit weird smelling opening, and does not last long enough.

I recently bought it. It grew on me. It’s a beautiful tropical gourmand scent. I’m not a fan of honey note. And I cant detect honey in here. I’m smelling cacao and it’s beautiful.

I really like this fragrance tbh I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. But as I grow my collection im becoming to love floral and sweet fragrances more and more.

The honey in this is soooo nice and it almost smells a bit like mango once it dries down. A sweet and light, kinda fruity floral

My very first impression of the fragance was "tropical yellow floral". This is how the perfume begins - it ́s quite citrusy at first, then the coconut and the ylang-ylang notes start to appear. The coconut, to my nose, is very strong in this, so for those who dislike it, I do not recommend to get this. After a while, the coconut gets even stronger but I can still get the "yellow floral background" quite clearly, if you can imagine how a typical yellow floral smells. Something like in Poeme by Lancome maybe? It ́s very nice. Later on, I finally get the candy-like, marshmallowy note. To me, the overall vibe of the sweet note is not like a typical candy note, but more of a "summer funfair" note, if you know what I mean? Something like the scent you get in the summer evenings while being there, at the event. Meanwhile, the coconut and yellow florals are still there, omnipresent. So, I do get why it ́s called Lucky Candy and at the same time, I don ́t (because it ́s still quite floral). :) It ́s definitely candy-like, you just need to wait for the drydown. To conclude, I think it ́s a great summer perfume. Eerything about this screams summer, summer events, heat, hot air, good vibes, beach, etc.. More of a daytime thing. The bottle is very nice. So far it ́s not a love from me, though, only a "like", mainly because of the longevity and sillage that are not exactly like what I am used to when it comes to Montale. However, I think it ́s still quite good for spring, summer and warm weather in general. I will test it a bit longer and we will see if it changes. :) I mean, you can clearly smell it, it ́s just not too loud.

Ok let me start by saying I was a huge hater of Montale bottles, but this one, I dont know what happened with me, the bottle is so pretty, that matte pink with gold hardware is gorgeous. Now about the scent, from the first spray, I immediately thought of Mercurial Cashmere but imagine it being layered or diluted with Dior Blooming Bouquet, thats exactly how I think of this fragrance. Overall very designer like profile, beautiful florals with some greenery and some spice from amber, the marshmallow note is definitely there too. When I look at the notes and smell the fragrance, I can definitely point them out which makes the fragrance slightly messy to me just like mercurial cashmere I recently sold, this one however smells fresher, lighter, airier, frangipani gives it this feminine appeal. Im surprised Neroli is so low voted, because its definitely very prominent along with frangipani and sweetness I want to say from marshmallow note or toffee? UPDATE: I really cant stop wearing this, on the skin, in the air, its so addictive and beautiful and the performance is amazing! It lasts and lingers for hours and hours. This might be my first Montale bottle I absolutely love. Shes staying with me and going no where. 😍 Im going to leave my original review just so people see first impression with this one just not enough. The balance between the tropical notes and florals and spice is perfection I didnt know I needed.

I’m surprised by all the negative reviews for this! Maybe it’s a scent profile you either love or hate. Perhaps people see the marshmallow note and make all kinds of assumptions. I personally really enjoy Lucky Candy. It’s fresh, sweet and tropical all at once. A youthful, fun and playful scent that doesn’t feel juvenile. To me, it’s honey drenched frangipani and fresh, clean, cocoa butter skin. The marshmallow, cacao and coconut are sweetly powdery. At the same time neroli and lily of the valley lend a clean, but not soapy, white floral nuance. This is less synthetic and better blended than most Montales. I can pick out the individual notes when I look for them, but nothing feels out of balance. My only issue is how ‘front loaded’ this is: gorgeous, beast mode opening — soft, subtle and slightly generic dry down (at around 2 hours). I agree with other reviews that the name is somewhat misleading- I wouldn’t describe this as candy like scent.

Not what you would expect based on notes or advertising. But great nonetheless. Very hight quality, excellent performance feminine perfume. Mostly fresh floral, with no overwhelming sweetness or some particularly gourmand notes. It is strong, a bit like some standard feminine perfume, but in a good way - it is clear, rich and light at the same time. It says confidence, stays with you for an entire day bus does not overwhelm. Basically, there is nothing weird going on so it is safe to wear for any occasion. Except the main differenciator is the strength. If you don't want to make a statement, apply it in moderation ;) Edit: realised that it doesn't excite me as much as many others from my extensive collection, thus will probably let it go.

“Lucky Candy” is a lovely fragrance, but its name might be a bit misleading—something like "Lucky Flowers" would be more fitting. This perfume is a sweet floral with subtle musk, a sophisticated fragrance. It’s very similar to Narciso Rodriguez Ambree (the orange cube bottle), but with more vanilla and less musk-makes it more warm and sweeter. It’s the kind of scent that would be perfect for summer or a tropical getaway, a breezy, sun-kissed vibe. The sillage and longevity are moderate, 6.5/10. It’s not overpowering, but it leaves a pleasant, lingering trail throughout the day.

It reminds me of something but I can't place my finger on it .. it's lovely I'm getting lots of citrus and coconut ..maybe creaminess of the frangipani too but I think I might add this to the collection. Might. Edit: Okay! Now I remember what this reminds me of- the drydown somehow reminds me of a dusty version of Chloé Lumineuse which i already have. I actually prefer that one over this. . If the opening stayed the way it was I would grab the bottle.

It's very nice and pretty perfume which opens the best way with warm summery weather. This perfume is absolutely feminine, flowery-fruity with a hint of yellow powder and some interesting bright note which is hard to describe. Imagine summer morning, you just washed hair, put on light fresh makeup, flowy dress, sprayed Lucky Candy, put straw hat and glasses- ready to live summer day as a free feminine and pretty young lady.

First impressions A very delicate sweet floral. It doesn't last more than 4 hours it sits close to the skin. The opening is beautiful sweet the dry down meh. You cannot over spray this perfume it's not strong. Apparently this perfume changes after a couple of weeks, fingers crossed. Good for when you want smelled good but don't want to think about the ocation just spray and go it won't offend anyone.

Purchased the travel size from Sephora ... boy was I scared (blind buy). All the reviews had me worried but I actually like this. The more it sits on my skin the more I’m smelling cotton candy. Will probably purchase the big size when I’m done with the travel :)

I get bergamot and marshmallow with Lilly of the valley, not exactly a candy fragrance the name is misleading. However it’s perfect for summer and spring. Probably not a good blind buy if expecting a strong sweet fragrance, definitely test this out first.

This smells just like Chloe Lumineuse I like Lumineuse a bit better since this one gets really cloying on my skin. Lumineuse is like smooth ambery vanilla puff.. Lucky Candy smells like that plus an overload of yellow floral scent.

It's very fruity, slightly bitter in the beginning, then gets softer and more marshmallow-y. I find it very sweet and a bit too artificial. Pleasant scent, just not something I would spend so much on.

I like this but don't love it it is a fresh take on a gourmond.It smells like hazelnut in the beginning then the citruses open up the creaminess is present but subtle it's a nice summer scent.

I’ll leave this at work and just spray it after my Yara has calmed down. I can’t smell it hours later. Just kind of a scent that I’m using because I can’t send it back.

Sweet candied frangipani. No cocoa whatsoever and very little musk.

This was another fragrance that I bought last year, sniffed it, wasn't impressed, and placed it on the backburner until randomly stumbling across it again. For starters, I like the scent. However, with a name like "Lucky Candy", I personally expect "Candy Land in a bottle". I expect "sunshine, lollipops, rainbows, pastels, glitter, and unicorns" (kind of like the promo pics for this fragrance lol). This is "sugary florals", at best. Not necessarily "jammy", but it's like the florals are dusted with sugar. I'm not really getting the "tropical vibe" that a lot of people are pointing out. I will say that this fragrance smells different since the last time I sprayed it. I always found the scent pleasant. It's just that, given the name, I Had other expectations when I first smelled this fragrance. I have no complaints with the Projection, sillage, longevity, and overall performance. I actually layered this with Kilian's Love Don't Be Shy and I really liked the result. I just wish perfume companies picked and chose their titles more wisely and accurately, I guess.

Review as a man: This i do not like. I feel like it doesn't have a true identity as a perfume itself. Neither gourmand nor fresh, why is it called lucky candy being a floral perfume ? nobody knows. in the opening i smell the honey and the sweets notes clashing with the fresh bergamot, i would even argue it is badly blended. This clash beetwing the sweets and fresh notes ends up with the win of the fresh notes that get accompanied by pungent florals and still another sweet note that feels very synthetic to my nose and that i do not like at all (guessing the marshmallow). the vanilla and toffe notes are literally non existent. I do not smell any vanilla nor toffe at all. Instead in the dry down all i smell is a very musky floral pungent scent the one the old ladies use to put on in the church. Overall: 5.5 /10. Lacks identity ; Badly blended ; clashing and out of place notes ; misleading name.

Not what I hoped it would be. The bergamot is very sharp & vegetal almost to the point of bitterness which is a shame because usually I love bergamot. Gives occasional hints of Love Don't Be Shy which is one of my faves, but like a cheap knock off version instead. That being said, this actually isn't bad. The notes aren't very discernable from one another (besides the bergamot) so I suppose you could say it's well blended. It's powdery sweet with a hint of fruitiness without being cloying. I can pick up similarities to Jimmy Choo Fever as well. I knew Montale had a reputation for the scents leaning synthetic, and I think for me I would call it very perfumey more than synthetic.

Smells like a generic sweet floral I can pull from a Macys counter. It’s got that perfumey designer DNA, like a smash up of too many things that just screams “perfume,” that image from Spongebob where they walk through the department store perfume section. If I were newer to fragrances, I’d think this was pleasant enough, buy a whole bottle, and tell myself it’ll grow on me. I’d force myself to reach for it every once in a while, wear a bit reluctantly but knowing I should because I spent a lot on it, then eventually accept that it just isn’t great and give it away.

Ok all I’m getting is white florals and powder/musk... no vanilla, no candy, no caramel... no cacao pod?! This seriously just smells like a boring powdery white floral. I’m literally baffled by the name and notes. In theory the notes look amazing, too bad I don’t smell hardly any of them... I’m starting to wonder if I’ve got vanilla and marshmallow blindness because I can hardly ever pick those up in fragrance unless vanilla is super dominant. Is that a thing?

This wasn’t what I was expecting - it’s florals, then citrus, then musk, then sweetness. I’d been hoping for a deeper sweet scent but this is more citrusy than I’d prefer. That said, it’s a fresh and sweet floral, which verges on the ‘beachy’ genre. It lasts a decent time and is easy to discern when you wear it - I only sprayed it once and was impressed! Not for me, but could be a love for others.

This is very perfume-y. No marshmallow. No honey. No frangipani. I can't even say I'm getting much more than a very generic and washed out laundry detergent type of smell. A plus is that the performance isn't good like most Montales so I didn't have to deal with the smell for much more than about 2 hours. Don't buy this expecting a floral-gourmand because you will be very disappointed!!

This one is a mystery to me. I smelled a tester in-store and was struck by the toffee-ish gourmand and the muskiness first. When I brought my own bottle home and sprayed it I only got the floral notes. I think this one transforms quite a bit the longer the bottle sits. It's a nice scent, but I was expecting a gourmand and it mainly just smells like flowers straight from the box.

Lucky Candy is pretty, but it's a very common tropical fruit scent. it's pleasant, sillage is decent, but i can't see anything unique. if you already have a frangipani musk and fruit mix in your collection, this is just another one with a Montale bottle. Safe to gift, though, because there's nothing unique or niche. Youthful, sweet, equal parts floral/fruity/creamy.

Well then. I thought this would be sweet and delicious and in the same vein as LDBS. It is not. It’s incredibly floral and not very gourmand, save for the super sweet notes, so I feel that using “candy” in the title was reaching. Not my favorite at all, it’s stuffy and sweet but generic floral sadly. Glad I only got a sample.

This is a very pleasant scent! I just don't think I could wear it 😅 The person saying that this would be the perfume version of limited edition candy hearts flavor is so spot on! 🩷🧡🩵 Very good performance, maybe best for younger people or those who like sweeeeeet scents. 🙂

This is disappointing. Maybe I’m a bit nose blind right now, but I expected it to be much stronger and sweeter. I’m testing it now, but thus far the sillage and longevity on me are very poor. I will put this aside for now and test it again in the future.

Blind bought the full size during Sephora sale and returned it same day. The notes states it’ll be a creamy gourmand with candy notes but all I got was florals. It would have been my first Montale, but I couldn’t justify the $155 USD price tag

When I applied the fragrance, the base notes were at the forefront. It was very gourmand and felt try to the candy name. After an hour, now I smell the the middle notes most strongly. All the sweetness is gone and it's all just floral.on me.

Wow. There is a whole lot of nothing going on here. I don't even know what to say about this. Nondescript. Blah. And whatever it is, it doesn't last or project worth a damn either, so there's also that. Next.

I love Montale and Mancera perfumes but this one I think the name is misleading, it smells like lemons and I can’t pass throught that phase. As I gourmand lover please sample before you buy.

it’s uh... sweet. pretty sweet. also, you know, sweet. I like its citrus facets but once it loses those it’s just generically sweet and fruity. Not for me.
