Montale Starry Nights EDP opens with a strong projection of very sweet, floral, citrusy, fruity, and green notes. The opening is delectable, fresh, unique, elegant, and inviting. The apple note in this fragrance is evocative of granny smith apples, is a green, sour, sharp, delicious, and fruity note, it is enhanced by the citrusy and sour accords of the bergamot and lemon. The rose in this fragrance is prominent, slightly powdery, sweet, sensual, floral, and dense. As time passes, the bergamot and lemon lose some intensity, simultaneously the patchouli develops a fresh, sharp, and green accord that continues with the line of freshness created by the initial citruses and the sourness of the apple. Towards the dry down, the white musk and powdery notes develop, the white musk is an inoffensive but projecting accord, fresh, and lemony. The powdery notes are also a projecting accord, the add a mild powdery touch to the fragrance. The jasmine and amber are support notes, a distant white floral note eclipsed by the prominent roses, and a resinous sweet touch resulting from the amber. The fragrance is relatively linear, the opening features the apple, citruses, and roses; in just a brief moment, the citruses take a step down, the patchouli climbs to a second-place close to the rose and apple. Towards the dry down, the white musk, powdery notes, and amber complete their surfacing process. The white musk joins the group of featured notes while the powdery notes and amber take a second seat as support accords. An Enticing First Impression: Montale Starry Night Acquiring new perfumes is an exhilarating experience, and often, sellers include samples of other fragrances for us to try. This can be a dangerous practice for our wallets. Such was my case when I encountered Montale Starry Night, a sample included by one of my perfume vendors. A Citrusy Blast with a Powdery Twist Upon the first spray, I was greeted by a bright, zingy, and fresh citrusy accord. It was bold, assertive, and slightly offensive, yet I found it utterly delightful. The initial impression was reminiscent of my first encounter with Aqua Di Gio Profondo. However, while Profondo veers towards an aquatic direction, Starry Night settles into a powdery embrace. I detected subtle floral notes intertwined with patchouli, lending a masculine touch to the fragrance. While it might not appeal to everyone, it was love at first sniff for me. Impressive Sillage and Longevity The sillage is decent, and the projection is exceptional. With a single spray on my wrist, I could catch whiffs of Starry Night enticing my senses with every movement. The longevity is equally impressive, offering 8-10 hours of wear when applied to both skin and clothing. The Quest for a Full Bottle So, what more reason could I have to resist acquiring a full bottle? This is where my misery began. Turns out, this reasonably priced Starry Night is a rare gem in the marketplace. I inquired with several recommended sellers, but none had any in stock. Damn! For two long months, I waited, until finally, it appeared on a local seller's page. Mission accomplished! And as soon as another seller opened a pre-order for Starry Night, I didn't hesitate to join for a backup. Now, I can enjoy Starry Night every day, not just under the bright open night sky but also in the broad daylight. 10/10 for sentimental reason

In my hopes of finding a Spring/Summer fragrance from the house of Montale, I really think the last post hit in on the nail... "Middle Eastern open complete with oud kick and saffron bite"... "citrus followed by the greenest of green apples"... "Upon dry down the fruit lends a boozy quality akin to champagne"... & "magic of patchouli cloaks itself in powder"... PLEASE don't forget the FAMOUS MONTALE ROSE! The one thing that I can relate is the value of the Montale performance, it goes and goes all day! This semi sweet fruited floral musked scent falls right in the middle of being a uni-sexual scent. Not to detour a gender confused individual, but I think either a man or woman could enjoy this scent. If your a guy that's comfortable smelling a little pretty and enjoys a brighter bold scent than the usual Montale beast... this scent is for you. After a few months of wearing I have fallen in Love! As the sweet apple and rose is mixed with patchouli settles down I am getting a lovely drydown with incense coming through...

I had a perfume delivery this morning with a sample of Starry Night in the package. I tried it and whoa did this thing wake me up. I thought I WAS awake.....I had made a coffee, fed the cats, brushed my teeth and trimmed my fringe.....but Starry Night WOKE ME UP !! Such a super fresh airy bright reviving sniff, like a boxer being given smelling salts after a knock out punch to the face. I can see how, for the maker, he related it to being like a bright clear cold starry night instead though. It has not gone powdery on me at all but is an extremely bright minty citrus wood. I like it for its reviving effect on me as a type of morning medicine but it would make me sick if I had to smell this all day, purely because its so masculine aftershave-ish. I prefer very pretty type perfume bubbles. I would not mind catching wafts of it on someone else around me during the day however. It would be worth my while purchasing a bottle to use in the morning 'in the air' as a house freshener to wake me up.

They were right when they said it smells masculine, the sweet apple the tangy lemon, and the powdery note from the coumarin(present in all tonka fragrance) the sharp musk that reminds me of Gold Intensitive Aoud and PDM Galloway makes it smell masculine. The rose reminds me of intense cafe But that dry down, that drydown is to die for... when it all blends perfectly together as one fragrance. They tried to paint the dark velvety rose with bright stars using the apple, citrus, and the powdery note. This smells so sublime after it dries up. All the notes perfectly compliment each other even thought they juxtapose one another just like looking at a starry night. I can't get enough of the drydown, it smells like a warm and fuzzy feeling in a cold and windy night, It's dusty and tad sweet similar to Dior Bois d'Argent. I assume that the powdery accord in the dry down is a harmonization of ambrox, coumarin, eugenol, and ISO E super.

For starters....Fragrantica misspelled Starry Nights, as Starry Night(without the letter S). Starry Nights is a lovely and easy to wear rose fragrance...that’s sexy, sensual, elegant, mysterious and quite nicely composed. Starry Nights is extremely unisex and better suited to wear during the warm spring and hot summer nights for my taste and experience with complex fragrances. With that said...Starry Nights definitely isn’t quite the beast-mode/bogeyman/potent fragrance that many people make it out to be despite 10-12 sprays! However, the overall performance, longevity and projection is above average – but nothing remarkable nor overwhelming. Which is likely by design due to Starry Nights being a rose scent. Nonetheless, Starry Nights yields value and will easily performance for 6 to 8+ hours on most people leaving shoulder length projection and consistent light sillage throughout its entire life-cycle. Overall: 9/10

This straight-up smells like a wearable slightly ozonic/ aldehydes/ and powdery version of Mancera's roses Vanille. To my nose and on skin roses Vanille smells sickly sweet like jammy rose Turkish delight. However, in Montale starry night the sweetness is toned down and I can pick up a sweet green apple accord along with musk and roses and powder notes. This is is more wearable for men than roses Vanille IMO. Also becareful Montales have nuclear projection this stuff will cause nauseating headaches if you are in a tight space this is more of a party night out of town fragrance This maybe unisex and I think both men and women can wear this with no problem. The apple and powdery notes tie everything together in this fragrance. However I think this is more masculine than unisex

My favourite montale!! This was a huge successful blind buy i dont think ill ever be without. Starts out with the typical montale dna but when it dries down the apple and citruses come in to play with along with the depth i always find with this house, the patchouli in the dry down is so addictive. Performance is outstanding and its the one montale thats got me more compliments where people want to buy it straight away. Edit: we all have that fix for the next fragrance but im drawn to this beauty every time, its an easy reach that never fails to perform... My signature has always been coco chanel, this is a strong replacement with a fresher twist. Re edit: When you wear it but I hear random strangers saying they can smell lynx, now I can’t un smell it.

Starry Nights opens with its guns blazing. Its brutally strong. You literally get hit with all of the notes at once. But as it settles you pick up on the most beautiful tart Green Apple blended with citrus notes of Bergamot & Lemon. As the fragrance dries down further you get Subtle floral notes of Rose & a non indolic Jasmine. And they're woven within a blanket of Woody Green Patchouli, soft clean Musk, & Powdery notes. Also running through the composition from its start to finish is this phantom nuance of Amber. There are no dark notes in Starry Nights, yet somehow it's scent profile works very well as a night out fragrance. If you were to add Vanilla to Starry Night you'd have Delina Exclusif, or Club De Nuit Imperiale White.

Musky rose with a dash of apple and citrus. I’m surprised by how many people say this masculine or barbershop - to me it’s a super feminine floral scent. The rose is by far the strongest note, with the musk and fruit playing supporting roles. If you like rose scents I can’t see this disappointing. I don’t get the powdery notes on my skin, which is good as I’m not really a fan of powdery fragrances. Very strong sillage and longevity, although I wouldn’t say obnoxiously so. Compared to Intense Cafe, this is also heavy on the rose but it leans fresh and fruity instead of vanilla and sweet.

Fruit, citrus, rose and musk is what this fragrance is all about. It’s unisex but does lean more male for me which I like. Theres definately a hint of pink pepper but it is not listed. Makes it sparkle a little This is honestly what moschino toyboy should have been, and there’s some similarities to it. Just 100x better. This is a perfect everyday fragrance, inoffensive yet interesting, long lasting and works for every season. Great price too. I get very lost in all the montale fragrances because they release a new one every other day it seems, but this one is special to me. 9/10

My wife gave me this because it was too strong for her. I finally gave it a shot after months and wow ! You get that classic synthetic vibe which reminds me of black aoud but with this addictive sour twist. Citrusy apple sitting on nice bed of florals and musk. Definitely leans masculine with all the punchiness you'd expect from a Montale. I'm upset I waited so long to try this one out; probably one of my favorites from the house along with Black Aoud, Intense Café and Arabians Tonka. Longevity/performance: 7/10 Sillage/projection: 10/10 Uniqueness: 8/10 Overall value: 8.5/10

Not the most manliest thing on earth but that’s what makes it a PLAYER scent 😏 gives Mancera roses vanille and that’s a beautiful scent that I brought for wifey if you know how that smells it’d be a clearer picture.. *ahem* Not as sweet as Roses Vanille this has more of the citrus apple zing and a more powdery rose than vanilla syrupy smell. VERY STRONG easy on the sprays I’m a spray abuser and this killed me testing that out This shines at night ironic because of the name and in actuality good for all seasons to me for nights out on the town or nights in 😏

Okay, so the notes are actually VERY accurate on this, but it’s not exactly what you think. The apple is very sharp not juicy, along with the citrus notes which gives an opening that could cut you! 🔪 Ultra masculine opening! I was scared. However, once it dries down, AMAZING. The powder, amber and florals combine for an intoxicating aroma. This is masculine in the opening but more or less unisex leaning femme in the dry down. Very lovely. So happy I have a full bottle. Projection is nice and longevity is on another planet. Love it 💖💜 RATING: 8.5/10. 💖💜

This is a hidden gem from montale imo. It opens up with a strong blast of all the notes but quickly drys down to a beautiful sour apple and rose. The apple and rose are the main players of this fragrance with a woody patchouli in the background. It last a good 10+ hours on my skin and projects fairly strong. No more than 3 sprays. It’s also great at being unisex. To sum it up I think this is a great fragrance for someone who wants a strong fragrance with a light smell. 100% worth the money.

Montale starry night is amazing. Something very special about this one & definitely my favorite from the house thus far. I get a big musky rose with a manly patchouli bite to it. Lasts forever on my skin & I can not get enough of it. When I wear this I get such a calming feeling. Almost as if my soul is actually wearing this fragrance instead of my skin. Pure tranquility in a bottle! I get compliments everytime I wear it too. Get your nose on this one!

Starry Nights is one of those frags that I don't think to wear very often, but I really enjoy it when I do. I feel guilty that I don't reach for it more. The name is perfect. To my nose, the interplay of florals, fruits and musk create a shimmering effect, and I perceive a slightly sweet red wine accord as it dries down. Perfectly unisex, although I occasionally get wafts of "barbershop," and I wouldn't be afraid to wear this in any season.

I promise my nose isn't broken, but this reminds me of Aventus, or even Hacivat. This is sweeter and more unisex but the citruses are in that style and the oakmoss is surpisingly strong. Thankfully I'm not getting much patchouli, I don't think it would have worked here. Apple is nicely blended with the citruses. The musk and powdery notes make it a great, well balanced fragrance. Strong performance. Highly recommend.

Відкривається цитрусовими, в кінці переходить в не менш різку пудру. Точно не для тих, хто не хоче виділятися, любить щось більш спокійне, ненав'язливе. Впринципі, використовувати можна круглий рік, єдине, в літній жаркий день не раджу - задушить всіх навколо.

First time I sprayed it, I was getting Alfred Dunhill Desire OG vibes, also brought back memories of xerous rouge briefly and then reminded me of Diesel Masculine OG. It's the kind of juice I love. Deffo unisex, it's sweet but dark at the same time. It's my first Montale and I'm loving it. I'm one of those guys that don't care about cold weather, warm weather frags, I be wearing this all year round.
