Sweet Flowers

At this point there's no denying: I am a full blown "gourmie". Love the sweet confectionery fume's; and these day's; the market is rife with them. They churn 'em out; but finding one with enough quality & complexity for 49 year old me to plausibly wear; is no piece of cake. (abominable pun, sorry!) Sweet Flowers is the sybaritic cotton candy treat I've been waiting for. Buoyant top notes of spun sugar; vivid jasmine; (ala' Kuumba M.) peaches in syrup, and a fresh punch of ginger give way to powder as it drys down, but reads cotton candy throughout. That, Maison Margiela, is how you replicate fun. Tasteful projection, and long lasting; as you would expect from Montale.

Very nice this! i love, happy and sweet perfume. the longevity and the sillage are as always excellent in Montale perfumes =)

This smells like La vie est Belle but with a cotton note. Very pleasant and somewhat comforting to me. I like it!

Vanilla, cotton candy and a slight lemony/citrussy bitter note- maybe the ginger? Not overly sophisticated and not as strong as it could be; fancy shower gel in a fancy hotel might leave your skin.smelling like this. Not bad, but lacks the personality and potency I expected from this combo of notes+this house. UPDATE: to be fair to this frag, while the kind of mildly "nice but not wow" review I wrote above is still true, this has actually turned out to be one of my most worn fragrances as it is very likable, very sweet, very long-lasting and a complete no-brainer to spritz and go when in a hurry. It has very much been worth the money to me through 2021, and I'm still wearing it about once a fortnight into 2022 despite having a large fragrance wardrobe to choose from. Pretty candyfloss and ginger is just such a nice pick-me-up. Sweet, luxe, cheerful and easy-to-wear and in truth what's wrong with that?

Can't tell if I like this or not.. like it isn't a bad fragrance, I do think the dry down is better then the initial application..idk I just find something sharp about it..& I like sweet, but this is too sweet.. comparisons to flowerbomb I don't think so it deff has the sweet aspect FB has.. but imo doesn't smell like it at all.. all in all an alright scent, still like Vanilla Extasy if you like FB think they're more similar. My sample I accidentally ended up spilling the whole thing..lol but wasn't that pressed bout it least my couch will smell good & my hands did for a bit..haa!

Sweet fruity floral. Does not smell like Flowerbomb to me but it does remind me of Mon Paris with the patchouli dialed way down, which I prefer. It’s a fun fragrance but I think I would’ve appreciated it more 5 years ago. This is not as sweet as LVEB which I thought was rather cloying, but sweeter than what I want to smell like. I think Roses Vanille/Intense Cafe are about as sweet and sugary as I’ll go these days and this is sweeter.

To me, this is chocolate + licorice. I'm reminded of a note in the original Dior Addict and a hint of Mugler's Angel. I like this. I have to see how it wears through the day. The sillage is very good. Sexy and mysterious.

This smells like a violet/tuberose candy. Sweeter than traditional Violets, but that tuberose really comes throguh in the heart of the frag. It reminds me of if Memo Marfa were more candied. MARFA x INSOLENCE x PEZ CANDY

Sweet floral fruity scent, very feminine and perfect for fall and winter. The sillage and longevity are excellent. It is bold, so attention in the open space ;) 8/10

This one sure has la vie est belle DNA. Just slightly difference in the opening but exactly the same when it’s dried down.

Smells exactly like Majestic Opulence from Zara. I can't pick up any cotton candy nuances. I'm able to pick up raspberry which reminds me heavily of LVEB Intensement - which is also similar to majestic opulence.

Not sweet, but floral. A clone of every generic floral scent ever produced ever.

Cotton candy and tuberose, beautiful and beautiful Montale.

I really love sweet fragrances and floral fragrances, so I took a chance on this hoping the patchouli wouldn’t be very prominent as it’s a note I hate. I loved the idea of cotton candy + fruit + white florals. I ended up very disappointed. It opens mainly smelling like spicy licorice, which I attribute to the patchouli + bergamot + ginger. Then it dries down to be a mature powdery floral. I don’t get the peach or cotton candy at all. I’m really glad I only got a sample of this and didn’t blind buy. If you dislike patchouli, I’d say avoid this, as you definitely can smell it.

I love these notes in perfume: peaches, violets, sandalwood, oakmoss, vanilla, bergamot and ginger! How excited was I? And this ombre bottle speaks to the depths of my girly-girl soul. But.. Montale SWEET FLOWERS should be titled DYING FLOWERS. The smells are overly ripe, fruit-fly infested, bruised mealy fruit with petals falling from their stems. It's too ripe, and it's also Flowerbomb-esque. You know, when flowers are past their prime, like old sunflowers or rotting fruit. No. This scent is missing vibrancy.

The Montale Fruits and Vanillas sample collection only lists cotton candy, vanilla, white peach, jasmine, and tuberose in the scent profile... seeing the full list of notes here explains why there was a sharp fuzziness I really dislike, thanks to the patchouli/moss combo. This is a really basic perfume, ie. it could probably be mistaken for any pink-bottled perfume that came out over the last 15 years; more or less all of the combined smells at Sephora.

Flowers, fruit, and vanilla. It’s too strong and synthetic for me, as most Montale are.

I hate Patchouli and all I smell is....Patchouli! There is absolutely nothing sweet about this. Its more like dead flowers moldly water.

This is the scent of golden autumn. One of the people below was quite correct in dubbing it "dying flowers", though to my nose it is rather "dying leaves". It has that earthy-dry sweetness of a forest floor covered with fallen leaves on a sunny September day. Walking through such a forest, a cup of black peach-flavored tea in hand adding a thin layer of its own slightly artifical sugariness to the scent of the leaves – that's what Sweet Flowers is like to me. Edit: after a few hours on my skin it loses the earthy-leafy quality and develops an aquatic-melony tone that reminds me a lot of Masaki Matsushima's mat; limited.

A loud, full blown creamy floral bouquet. Prominent DNA of Montale fragrances with great longevity and projection. The opening is sweet ginger soaked in peach juice, a creamy and delicious heart of jasmine and tuberose with a slightly touch of powder from violet on the bed of sandalwood and sweet vanilla. A creamy floral gourmand that personally makes me happy. There is a slight similarity between sweet peony and sweet flowers, so if you enjoyed Sweet Peony you will absolutely like this one. A sensual and addictive fragrance that combines for the first time the sweet smell of Cotton Candy, Bergamot and velvety White Peach with Patchouli, Jasmine, Tuberose and Vanilla. A guilty pleasure.

So I found this at my TJ Maxx... am I a maxxinista or what!? I have been on a Montale kick lately, hadn’t tried this one, blind buy but worth it. It does remind me of LVEB, Flowerbomb Nectar et all but Montale adds a rotting fruit/wilted flowers in a dirty vase note to their florals that makes them stand out, and I find it irresistible haha It’s meant to be a compliment, La vie est garbage, and I like it.

Fruity and velvety white flowers with dense background of vanilla,musk and patchouli. Not much development, it seems pretty linear on my skin. To me it is only a bit similar to La Vie est belle, but more wearable, more airy and to my taste, I find it as sexy as LVEB. Sadly it doesn't last much on my skin, the Montale fame for longevity and projection is failing on this case.

Super sweet candy fruits with floral touches first applied, drying to a sweet, gentle fruity floral of excellent quality. It's almost foody, like a gourmet super creamy gelato with flower essences to offset the sweetness of the fruit. Full dry down is vanilla with some fruit notes. Pretty wonderful. Montale and I seldom get along, so this was a great surprise for me.

I'm confused with the notes and description on this site regarding Sweet Flowers because only maybe half these notes are listed on the actual Mondale site..no pepper no ginger no oakmoss..it even has cotton candy as a listed ingredient! So either the Montale site is wrong, or Fragrantica is ...

It's like the perfect lovechild between La Vie Est Belle and Flowerbomb -- super girly, feminine, syrupy sweet, and easy to like! Would make for a great going-out, date night, clubbing/partying, or even everyday fragrance (for those who like to stand out)!

Smells just like LA Vie Est Belle I can't tell them apart nor can I desern the individual notes except for the patchouli. The dry down became very unisex borderline cologne smelling. Glad I got a sample. Not a safe blind buy.

This one is pretty basic. Montale DNA, and some lightweight, sweet-sour flowers. Dry down is shampoo-like, freshly washed hair. If you have a light floral fragrance in your colection, you won’t need this one.

Very sweet. It’s like a cross between flower bomb and pink sugar it’s in that family. Smells exactly like the name. Sweet flowers and I’m going to buy the full bottle 😌

Sweet Flowers manages to genuinely smell similar to every fragrance in the 'reminds me of' category that I've put my nose to or worn before, mostly 212 Sexy by CH.

too simple, reminds me of flowerbomb but much better. doesn't have that montale DNA punch. I do get the powdery notes and cotton candy without the caramelization.

Beautiful smell, feminine sexy flowery sweet. Doesn’t have a good sillage and longevity on clothes wont last more than 2/3 hrs

on my skin this is a very strong mature floral scent. i dont get any sweetness.

Very nice but matured scent. Recommended for 45 years+

Smells like shampoo but it is pleasant

The dry down reminds me of Gucci rush.
