Eau d'Or

Well I am a bit confused about this fragrance. I thought that it was the 1994 version by Nathalie Lorson and I don't know, she still may be the perfumer for this 2015 release, Nathalie Lorson is one of my favorite Perfumers! She is the reason that I was interested in this perfume. Why did the Montana company re-reIease the Suggestion perfume trio again years later using different Perfumers? I am wondering if the newer releases even smell like the original ones and if not why not call them something different? I have to say that I absolutely love the bottle! It's smooth, heavy and twisty design is not only aesthetically pleasing but a dream to hold and spray. Very nice. This is a perfect example of a unisex fragrance. Upon first spray there is a sweet note, sweet like burned sugar, a warm amber type scent followed closely by a tartness and yes a metallic note that remains throughout the wearing of it. I understand that Eau d'Or by Montana is one of a trio where the scents are reminiscent of gold, copper and silver. In Eau d'Or the "gold" note is what I must be sensing in that metallic smell. Unusual in perfumery and definitely what I would consider masculine but also because of that sweetness that off sets it this is a fragrance that anyone who enjoys unusual fragrance notes would appreciate. I am not a fan of the metallic note personally. I don't know if the silver or copper metallic notes in the other two fragrances would smell similar or different. It's hard for me to imagine what silver or copper would smell like as a scent. I would describe Eau d'Or (2015) as a gourmand/fresh fragrance. I don't even know if there is such a category! Performance on me is not very good. Really only about an hour, perhaps 2 to 3 on clothing. It may perform better in warm weather. Very interesting fragrance.
