Legend Night

Boozy creamy sirupy deliciousness!! Let me start with the notes it doesn’t have... booze and tobacco... and somehow it does smell like having both because of the licorice facets of the Lavender together with the Clary Sage, Cardamom and Akigalawood, which blended together create one of the most magnificent mature compositions I have ever smelled... and in a designer fragrance! The scent profile is quite similar to niche fragrances like Oajan from Parfums de Marly, or Penhaligon’s Blazing Mr. Sam... but without the hefty price tag. Legend Night is an amazingly silky sweet lavender cardamom concoction, with a green apple tangy essence and a very soft vanilla heart, altogether encompassed in a lovely patchouli/fir aura. In the fragrance world very few times monikers make any sense, and this perfume is one of the most fortunate exceptions... “night” is exactly what comes to mind when I smell this fragrance... a very fun night out!! This parfum can be worn whenever a cozy fragrance is required, cold weather, a special occasion or even on a date. Projection is very decent for the first hour, although the whole fragrance starts to fade away soon after that... longevity is just around 3 hours, then it disappears completely, at least on my skin. Solely based on scent this is one of the best Legend flankers and an exceptional nighttime scent!

How is this so underrated? First of all, this, like just about every other Montblanc offering, is taking the DNA of a very popular scent profile and tweaking it just a smidgen. I this case, Code Profumo. Even the bottle has a similar look to it with that dark to light brown gradient. But let's focus on THIS fragrance and not compare it to Profumo. This is very smooth and powdery in texture even though it has a fresh/spicey opening with the cardamom, fir and cedar. Slight florals come through in the iris and lavender. Vanilla gives it that smooth feel throughout the wearing. After a couple hours on skin, the leather really starts to show itself and it's lovely. On clothes, the top notes really stick around. The only thing I could knock(and I'm not really) is maybe projection. Longevity is fine but it sits close to the skin. Lots of situations where you don't want a projection monster and this fits the bill. This would make a good date night fragrance and is office safe I would say. If you're looking for more projection out of this just spray your clothes or maybe reapply later in the day. It's cheap enough to do either. I wouldn't consider this to be terribly redundant if you already own Profumo. Similar but different enough. Be fragrant my friends 😉

WHOA!!! This is an absolutely OUTSTANDING fragrance!!! It is a perfect combination of fruit, vanilla and spice that will make the woman in your life (and maybe others) fall in love with you all over again. After a few moments, the apple and black vanilla notes blend perfectly to create a really smooth, masculine and seductive aroma that will have the girls salivating. Unfortunately, the only downfall is that it's not strong enough and doesn't last long at all. However, if/when Mont Blanc releases an intense version of this to strengthen the projection and longevity, IT WILL BE AN ABSOLUTE MONSTER. Until then, you will need to keep a travel decanter with you and reapply throughout the day/night...but, it'll be worth it. If you're ok with doing that, then by all means, GO BUY IT!!! The ladies are waiting. BEWARE: In the wonderful world of attracting and catching women, Mont Blanc Legend Night is that secret weapon lure in your tackle box that shakes, rattles, dances, serenades and illuminates to seduce any female in its path, but loses its stamina shortly after gaining their attention. With that being said, reapplication is a must, but it should result in the winning of some very nice trophies. So...LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

I was surprised by this. Very nice and sensual. Designer frags that I want to buy nowadays are becoming rarer and rarer, but the dark, rich, boozy vanilla here has caught me. In the opening this vanilla is apparent, with herbal facets of sage, hints of spicy cardamom, and powdery but masculine lavender from the rest of the Legend line. Then Legend Night introduces woods, a sweet cedar pokes through and its rough edges are rounded by the vanilla accord. Violet peeks through to add a touch of sharp, florals along with resinous pine/fir that keeps this going masculine. Also present is a fruitiness: apple a la Aventus. It is juicy and adds a freshness to the otherwise dense and rich composition. This is a well rounded vanilla scent that can be pulled off year round. It has depth and development, and ISNT CLOYINGLY SWEET like so many vanillas and tonkas out there. To me, this is bottle worthy and I look forward to giving it a full wear. Designer realm: 9/10 Overall: 7.7/10

My Review Legend Night: by Mont Blanc. Out of all the Legends, this is my favorite for cool weather and summer nights. Has a similarity to the Armani Code DNA, so yes, heavier on Vanilla, musk and wood. It is not a shouting fragrance, but you will get noticed, I get better than average performance about 8 hours, but becomes a skin scent at about 6, and projects off my skin for the first 2+ hours. This to me is a well blended fragrance because you just can’t nail down all the note, but for me the opening is dominated by the cardamom and sage with a hint of citrus. The lavender is present and helps with a clean, soapy freshness but is way in the background. Blind buy, if you want a cheaper alternative to Armani Code with its own personality but similar scent path, yes this is for you. For me this is not an Eros alternative, opening might be a little similar but that is it for me. And MBLN is not as loud.

This is a little hard to describe; basic but yet complex, if that makes sense. The late dry down is sensual and phenomenally engaged on the apple, cedar, lavender and tobacco (even though tobacco isn't listed). It's basic on the opening, but that dry down is so damn good. Highly recommend a blind buy on this if you're familiar with the Armani Code DNA and various other designer fragrances. It's genuinely worth the money when you spend time with it and wait out the dry down. Opening is minty, slightly powdery, and sweet. Dry down is sensual, mature, and slightly "boozy" as 'mizur' below described it. Scent: 9 oofs -It's great because of how it evolves into something seducing and relaxed. Sillage: 6 oofs - average but slightly above average if you go heavy Performance: 7 oofs - 6 hours on a summer night, 8+ hours in the winter Verdict: worth the blind buy.

Love the opening blast of apple, mint & cardamom. Love the powdery dry down of vanilla. Hell, I even love the bottle! But I HATE the performance when it comes to projection. It does last a bit longer than most of these reviews would have you believe. Just apply as liberally as your heart desires. I spray it on my body and my clothes, heavily... I also carry around a lil plastic atomizer full pretty much everywhere I go. If you love this scent as much as I do, reach out to Mont Blanc and let them know we need an intense version of this. What we have here is a certified winner with a loser's work ethic. It's a cheapie now, so I'm not too bent about it. If you're here, I'm sure you know you shouldn't be paying full price for this. But just imagine what it could be...

A recent blind buy purchase that I am greatly pleased with. First, the packaging is attractive. Not overly ornate, the simple bottle with its warm gradient coloring will look nice in anyone's collection. Second, the smell is warm and sweet but not overly sweet. I pick up traces of Carmel, even though it is not listed as a note. I'd say it is best suited for the cooler months and while it can be worn during the day it is an excellent evening fragrance. Lastly, while the performance is not going to last a full workday it is sufficient for most evening's out and most date nights, quite a good cuddle scent. Given it's reasonable purchase price I doubt a person can really go wrong with this fragrance.

Gorgeous fragrance that gets little respect or attention from the community. It smells fantastic. You get a grown up vibe alternative to the mass appealing night time fragrances out there. It's not a projection monster, which you probably wouldn't want unless you're a hyperactive 20-something screaming for attention. You won't get the overly sweet nuances of such fragrances but stays away from the bitter dry smoky vibe of fragrances you normally think off for older crowd. As with most lavender fragrances it does have a sweet powdery feel, but it's toned down by the woody notes. I get great longevity and performance out of it. can now be purchased for great prices. Enjoy.

Inoffensive dark vanilla blend that leans a bit towards the feminine side. Very pleasing scent that unfortunately doesn't last. If I said this was detectable after 4 hours I would be lying to you. It doesn't project very well either. To be fair, given the name "Night", you probably don't want something loud and obnoxious. Imagine a packed room full of Sauvage Elixirs and YSL Libre EDPs. I don't mind the weak sillage I can understand why it's like that (whether made that way on purpose or not) but I just wish it lasted a bit longer. The bottle looks great with that gradient. Atomizer is quite good as well. No complaints there. 7.8/10 Good

To me, this is a very nice and sophisticated fragrance. I mainly detect vanilla and apple with a hint of cardamon and lavender. Unfortunately, the longevity and sillage is not the best. You will need to carry a decant around if you really want people to notice you. It 's a shame as the scent is wonderful. Ratings Sillage: 4/10 Longevity: 4/10 Scent: 8.5/10 EDIT: After wearing this for a while now, I can say that it reminds me ever so slightly of a discontinued gem called Christos Man by Christopher Chronis. It was available in Australia in the late 1990's-early 2000's. Near impossible to find now.

This is a gorgeous and delicious scent! This is absolutely fantastic! It's warm and slightly subtle. It's a nice vanilla and cardamom scent and the green notes along with the woods blend in here incredibly. I think this is one of the best Mont Blanc fragrances especially for date night. This is a very attractive fragrance and a perfect blind buy! I give this a 9.4/10 I would say this is in line with Armani Code Absolu. Those warm, dark, classy, date night vanilla fragrances. You can also go casual with this to. I wear this during the day also. It's a very attractive scent!

the note to watch out for in this fragrance is the sweet apple sauce/apple brandy that pops up after 10minutes...very sweet, familiar night time fragrance, not super long lasting but more on moderate side.its gonna be good for dating and clubbing. but wearing it on daily basis may get your nose bored. i like this fragrance but dont love it...it also comes with lavender, mint and bergamot up top, then at the last stage your get woody and musky notes.not bad,if you dont own too many sweet fragrances for night time...you can pick this up 7/10 :)

A whole lot of yummy-ness here. Vanilla and apple tempered by woody notes and a nice but not overwhelming lavender. Sweet but masculine. Great scent and if I had one word to describe it, it would be "seductive." I also own Aigner Man 2 and was surprised to see it in the "reminds me of" section. This is sweet whereas Man 2 is much more citrus with tobacco. Not really similar to me (but it's nice in it's own right!) but every nose perceives scent differently. Just don't be shocked if you buy Man 2 and it's not that similar to Legend Night.

The cardamom forward opening definitely reminds me of YSL LNDL. I'm a huge fan of LNDL so I'm already starting to like Legend Night. Where it's a little different from LNDL is Legend Night is a bit fruitier. It's not in the notes but I smell apple, in addition to the citrus. Mid brings out a lavender, resin, but is still a little brighter than LNDL's mid. Drydown is pleasant but not unique. I get mostly vanilla and musk, really like it. Really differs from LNDL at this point but I'm a fan of Legend Night. For the price, great pick up.

Got a sample of this and fell so in love. Reminds me a bit of Dolce and Gabbana The One (one of my absolute favorite colognes), but has its own character. I gave the sample to a colleague who is always on the hunt for a good fragrance and his eyes opened wide after he sprayed it on, LOL! It was funny to see and he was kind of flustered about it. :D He REALLY liked it and I think a full bottle is in the works. He described it as smooth and sexy with just the right amount of modern edginess to it to attract attention.

100 meters dash in a bottle. This is the kind of cologne you smell and expect beast mode performance but ends up lasting a few moments. I can smell this pretty clear the first 15-30 minutes but then, even on a test strip, it fades away after an hour. After 3 hours I can put a test strip to my nose and not smell anything. Won't repurchase but love the scent, it's a lot like D&Gt1. If they increase the performance in a new flanker it can replace D&Gt1 until then this is a pass unless its summer time.

One of my favorite scents in It's 'wheelhouse'. Bottle is nice looking and sprayer/cap is good as well. It requires a lot of sprays and some re touching (not a problem for me). Very cozy vibes I think most women would love to smell on a man as well. I do wish this was a beast mode one but it's plenty good enough at price point. I know Mont Blanc Legend series in majority have issues in performance but this is totally worth it for $35-$45.

This is a great fragrance. I decided to sample it as I have heard that it's a good alternative to Eros, however I would more compare it to The One EDP (which I also own a bottle of) this one is a little bit more budget friendly and is a little more minty in the opening (maybe that's why it's considered Eros-like) but I may slightly prefer The One. I would still recommend this and would say to try both anyways.
